This place is amazing and even more so in person. The pictures that I had seen prior don't do it justice. The rocks have that Colorado red tint to them and they are really larger than life. You can see that they're enormous from quite a distance, depending on which way you're coming to the park while driving, but when you get closer you'll start to be amazed at their size and beauty.

Also, once you're there the view is simply stunning. If you look close you can see Denver in the background, off to the left if you're standing at the top of the amphitheater.

There's a nice little museum explaining about the amphitheater along with a hall of famous singers and bands that have played at the amphitheater
