Amazing!!! My kids love it everytime we visit. Specifically, there was a young lady at the picture boot by the penguins. Short hair brown skin woman, while the other workers looked at me crazy when I asked for my pic because they were in the midst of closing. The young lady stopped wat she was doing and got my pics and cashed me out without attitude, an extra kindness and patience. With 6 kids the last thing I needed was to have to go looking for something. So 5 stars to the awesome hard workers... I will get her name next time..

This is a very beautiful aqarium with alot to see. Keep in mind the first Wednesday of every month is FREE for Orleans parish residents. The staff is friendly and the animals seem to be well taken care of.

So much fun. My two year old enjoyed herself the whole time. The bathrooms were considerably clean to say there were so many people in attendance. This was very helpful while potty training. No one was rude or pushy. The birds were the highlight! They were so much entertainment.

Smaller than I expected. Enjoyed what is there. Wish they made it clear that the zoo and the aquarium are like 7 miles apart. We had planned to do both in one day, but the heat got to us. At least the tickets are good for a year. Not sure if we'll make it back or not, but will go to the zoo if we do!

Stylistically, there were elements of this aquarium that are similar to the aquarium in Atlanta and also the National Aquarium in Baltimore.

The signage in the first room you enter with the water falling over the silver scales was similar to the aquarium in Atlanta. The rain forest section was somewhat like the one in Baltimore. In the rainforest section, I spotted an owl and a red-tailed hawk.

The white alligators are definitely unique to New Orleans, and the otter was cute. The penguins were quite playful and tried to get the attention of the visitors standing near their tanks.

We are Audobon members and travel from Florida every year. The kids love it so much brought my niece this time! When we first arrived they took our picture but it had just rained so we were all soaked by the time we left it was 4:40 and they stopped taking pictures. I asked the photo center if we could get one more set taken and they did. Jered was the guys name. l know he didn't really feel like it but he did and was very polite about it! Then as we left my niece realized she left her jacket upstairs another employee walked with us to get it. I greatly appreciated everyone's kindness.

So many people the Friday I went, but it was still very interesting and worth the drive to New Orleans for. Best advice is to be careful parking! Validate your parking, and find out how much it costs to park in the public parking lot next to the aquarium before you park, unless you want to pay $25-$28 like our whole class did after the kindergarten field trip.

Great aquarium! The traveling beach trash art show was cool (and sobering) to see, the food court was pretty good, and the behind-the-scenes otter meet and greet we payed extra for was worth every penny!

In New Orleans on vacation, and I heard about this place. Really if you are in New Orleans with kids or without it is a must see. Beautiful set up and a great piece of knowledge of the sea world and the waters of New Orleans. Loved it

This place needs a child free day to truly enjoy it. Call ahead and make sure schools won't be bringing hoards of screaming ill behaved children. Otherwise don't expect to really get the much out of your $25 entrance fee

The aquarium was very good and it included a movie at the giant screen theater next door. We choose a movie that was supposed to be about Hurricane Katrina's effect on the bayou but there was very little science or real information so that was disappointing.

If the weather isn't so great take the red street car down Canal Street and enjoy a half day exploring this delightful aquarium. If you have been to the Audubon Zoo you will appreciate the Mayan motif in the first gallery. From there, some of the highlights include: the African Penguins, Sea Otters, Sea Horses and a White Alligator but there's much more.

IT was a nice aquarium for sure, but not the best we've attended. For myself, my wife and 3 sons (oldest is 7 and youngest is 11 months), it came out to be $94. The aquarium had a really nice exhibit on local animal life which was awesome. The rest was your standard aquarium.

Very clean, well maintained place with great exhibits. Many interactive features for kids. Good wheelchair access to most sections and places to sit and enjoy the exhibits. Friendly and helpful staff. The only complaint is the food court which is very basic and bland for New Orlean.

Love coming here. Get the membership that includes the zoo if you plan to come at least twice a year. Stop by during feeding time for the sea otters, they put the food I'm things the otters have to work out how to get to it and it's adorable

Honestly one of our favorite stops of our trip. The rescued raptors hanging out were a great surprise. The otters and penguins are insanely cute. Definitely go watch the sea otter training if you can! I loved the different regions the aquarium is broken up into. Best part? Petting the rays! There were a couple particularly friendly babies who made our day.
