Little expensive, but it goes to upkeep and the animals. It is beautiful.

good experience, we liked it, clean, the food court was small and the ice cream place was not working, but we had a good time, lots of walking so take good shoes!!

I honestly expected more, most of the fish were in hiding. It's to expensive for what we got.

This is a high quality aquarium! The exhibits were very educational, specifically the Mayan exhibit. Great design, a variety of aquatic and terrestrial species, and friendly staff made this a great spot for my family to visit.

Great Aquarium and easy to get to. It provided the perfect activity on a rainy day!

Some different exhibits in this aquarium. Love the sea horses, the eels and penquins. My favorite are the sea otters. Kids love to feed the lorakeets. Interactive exhibits and a play area.

Very nice would be better if all remodeling was completed.

My kids favorite part was the parokeet room! Very neat!

Amazing! A jewel...whether you're young with kids or an old goat like me, it's a must visit.

We spontaneously stopped by here to stretch our legs during a long road trip and enjoyed it. They have some very nice aquariums, although there isn't a whole lot. We walked it in under 30 minutes with a toddler. Not a big deal. We enjoyed everything, especially the sharks. The gift shop also had a big selection and we walked out with shirts and mugs. I can't give 5 stars because the cost was pretty outrageous for what you see. On top of that, the parking was very expensive. Maybe it would have been worth it if we had also visited the malls in the same area. Overall we had a good experience!

This is a fantastic and fun acuarium! The rays, the sharks, the Mississippi River sealife section, the Amazon section, the coral reefs of the Caribbean, every single part and tank was awesome. The interactive screens are great. We had hours of fun!!!

If you haven't already been, you should check it out! Great place to spend an afternoon - especially if you have children to entertain.

The kids loved it. They learned so much about fish and other sea animals. Enjoy every minute of it.

Nice aquarium with a good variety of exhibits. You can touch a stingray. Some of the areas were closed. It's only open until 5 pm so go early.

Great for the kids! Close to transportation and all the fun.

This place is amazing. Love the outdoor bird sanctuary and theater. The insectarium is equally as nice. Especially the butterfly room.

Smaller than expected, but worked out as our toddler lost attention before we got to the end.

The husbandry staff was will informed and did well educating but the service staff seemed like people being there was an inconvenience to them.

Beautiful aquatic life. This was the first time I have visited the aquarium since I was 12 yrs old. Wow, 31 yrs is a long time. It has only gotten more beautiful as the years have gone by.

Great exhibits. A wonderful variety of plants and animals are on display here. Be sure not to miss the 'porthole' above the shark tank that you can stand on top of... like walking on water!

Fine aquarium but nothing special. The while thing took maybe an hour (maybe) & cost an arm & leg to get in.
It looks like there might be some Renovations going on so maybe that's part of why it felt so small but there was no explanation so I'm not sure.
Honestly I wouldn't go again & I'll not be recommending it to anyone.

Decent aquarium, but for $30 I would have expected more. If you have kids, there is a bunch to do. Otherwise I don't think it is currently worth the price of admission. This could possibly change once they open up the areas that are under construction.

It is a small aquarium but if you like animals and vegetation go visit it.

We may not visit evert time we are in New Orleans but it is still one of our top spots.

Great place to bring family and friends to see exotic water life creatures

Ac was not working properly, way to crowded , had to walk from the other side of the river walk which was not to bad but they were doing construction so you had to take a detour which was had with a stroller. So many people you feel like you are being herded through

The aquarium and the zoo are easily our families favorite places for family fun days!! The membership is money well spent and saves a bunch if you go more than twice a year.

Beautiful place, awesome friendly knowledgeable staff. Everything is well kept up on and a great selection of marine animals to look and learn about. Its right on the Mighty Mississippi with a great little splash pad to play on with its really hot outside.

They have great fish aquarium.. good place to take children

This was my first trip to the aquarium in New Orleans. It was very nice and admission includes an iMax movie. The aquarium was a bit on the small side. Especially given the price. But it was ok for a day out. We went on a Saturday and it was very crowded obviously, but we had time to go through it twice and see the imax in a 5 hour span. So overall 4/5 stars.

Very educative family trip. Excellent for kids in developing their knowledge of the aquatic. Very orderly place. Well trained staff.

The aquarium left much to be desired. It was not terrible, but it definitely was not what we expected. It seemed quick and lacking. There was an area blocked off with nothing in the water. The film at the theater was great, though.

You've gotta go here. Best part of the aquarium is the Mississippi river gallery. They've got an owl. Pretty cool.

Though the price tag may seem intimidating at first, it is definitely worth it. They have a fantastic assortment of aquatic animals including sea otters and an albino alligator. Be sure to swing into the theater too! Usually 3d is a bit gimmicky, but it really does enhance the experience.

So much fun packed into one day. We will do this again.

Did the dive which was fantastic and highly recommended. Plenty to see are do here. You can easily spend a few hours here with or without the kids.

My sixteen month old had a lot of fun. We didn't think she would enjoy it as much. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded. Plus the Fried Chicken festival was going on. Definitely recommend and we'll be back.

For someone who loves aquariums. This was nothing special. For military discount it was a whole $3 per adult and $2 for kids. So a total of $45 for my and my 3 year old.... definitely not worth the money at all!! Made it through the whole thing in roughly an hour. Food was too over priced and if you can imagine so was the gift shop.

For being in a big city like New Orleans it should blow you out of your socks not even close, there is one in Newport KY that made this look like a beginner.

Had a great time here doing the penguin encounter. The penguin draws a painting for the guests by walking through pieces of papers. Very cute!

I always love going to the Aquarium! Very nice displays! Check out the Otters!! Emma and Clara love when they have visitors!! There is a NEW Otter encounter that has opened to the public for only $75! What a great experience! Chrissy, one of the trainers, was amazing! Very knowledgeable and friendly! She has a clear passion and skill for this industry!

Not the biggest or best, but still a really good place to visit. I asked some questions and some of the employees seemed limited in knowledge.

This was soo much fun! Lots to look at and the parakeet part was my personal fav.

Great way to enjoy an hour or two during the day. The penguin exhibit is awesome, make sure to go during feeding times.

There with the son's family nice visit lots of ways to spend money still nice to visit.

Enjoyed Visit but doesn't compare to Atlanta Georgia's Aquarium. Too pricey to not have as much to see. Glad to know there will be more added soon. Honestly kind of disappointed.

Love this place. Every time I am in New Orleans i have to go!!

Awesome aquarium!! Doesn't take long to get all the way through with stops (1-2 hours). We got to pet the manta Ray's and there are a bunch of other interactive experiences including feedings. Very nice gift shop too!
