The job was done relatively quickly, given the amount of labor. The techs wore masks in the house, most of the time, but I was concerned about one who was coughing a lot. They offered me multiple options for the repair, but they were unfortunately, all very pricey, and above average, according to some national averages. Overall, I am happy with the work.

Great job, once again. We used 2 or 3 different plumbers before we found Appleton Campbell, all with unsatisfactory results (and a lot of wasted money). Now we call Appleton Campbell whenever we have a problem. The office staff and the technicians are extremely nice, professional, helpful and timely. They fixed our well problem quickly. They also replaced our HVAC recently and we had an equally wonderful experience with that. Highly recommended!

We have been with Appleton Campbell for a few years. They have always provided exceptional service and the staff is professional. This time we had a technician, Bill Dooly, that went above and beyond. He ensured that I understood everything and answered all my questions. He was very courteous and experienced. I would give him more stars if I could.

The old adage, "you get what you pay for" falls into place with Appleton Campbell. Yes, I do find them more costly than other contractors, but they are a very professional, efficient group of people. And they wear shoe covers when they enter your home. Top-notch when it cost to heating and air conditioning.

Dylen N. and James K. replaced our furnace and heat pump and did an outstanding job of preparing the floor areas in our home for the removal of the old furnace and heat pump, installing the new systems, and explaining the operations of the new systems to me.
I was thoroughly impressed with care and efficiency they demonstrated as the two of them worked with their other team members to perform the work required to replace my old furnace and heat pump.

Our relationship with Appleton Campbell began last year (2017) when we called them for a free quote on replacing our then 23 year old, 50 gallon, Rheem gas hot water heater. During the visit the technician not only provided the quote (it is not an estimate because what they quote is the price you pay and there are no hidden fees or additional costs), but provided a lot of advice about the difference between them and others in the business, and about what to watch out for (corners cut for cost reduction by others). This was so helpful that when another bid that followed came in significantly less then Appleton Campbell, we went with the other, but insisted that the business contracted provide all those things that without asking for we were not going to receive like an inspection!

Fast forward a year later when we know we are on borrowed time with our 24 year old original gas furnace and ac unit; we knew this was a big job, an expensive job, and we could not ignore their online ratings and reviews; also the company we did use for the hot water heater a year prior, actually recommended that we call Appleton Campbell. So, we once again called Appleton Campbell out for a free quote. During this visit in March 2018, Jerry came out and was so knowledgeable, as he is a technician. Again, he went above and beyond to explain things, look over things that had concerned us for nearly 24 years and left us with a big decision to make, as we had heard that a job like this was about $10k, but my other half had someone at work who just got this done for $6k (supposedly) so it was a shock to see the $12k price tag (We purchased the Performance Series with additional media cabinet, which was $1k off for rebates and not taking the financing option). I called them a few days later and asked if they could come out to do the job before the week was up. On Friday, March 16, 2018, Paul, Jason Williams, Reid and Josiah all showed up very promptly. The job was not rushed to get onto the next paying customer. They were totally employed with our job the entire day (and this is where others will cut corners as they will be rushing to get to the next customer because that is how they get paid!). They made sure we had all the manuals and paperwork before they left, made sure that everything was cleaned up, made sure we knew how to use our new units. The new units run very well and are very quiet. We have better circulation in the house, especially upstairs. Appleton Campbell corrected builder mistakes with the venting in the attic to the rooms below.

Now for my husbands review.

After closer inspection once they left, there were several things not done properly. Five hours later and another day off work for them to correct the issues; and this time they obviously sent their A crew, Mike and Mike. I was very impressed with these two. I am not however impressed with Appleton Campbell for the amount of money spent. What would my wife do if I wasn't around?

We've been using this company for several years and the experience has always been great. Bill came to perform the yearly maintenance on our oil burner and made some suggestions to improve our system and to prevent future breakdowns. Parts were ordered and Jason and Jeff arrived to do the install. All three technicians were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The office staff does a great job with scheduling and is always a pleasure to deal with. We will continue to rely on Appleton Campbell to keep our burner running smoothly.

Keith was very helpful. He took the time to explain everything I needed to know about my system. Appleton Campbell is a great company with fair prices and honest, trustworthy technicians.

My AC had been working less and less the past week so I called Appleton Campbell knowing they were a local business when it finally felt warmer than I thought was normal. The woman who took my call was polite and friendly and assured me that someone would be out the same day. The tech, David Forney, arrived within hours and did an excellent job. Not only was he polite and professional, but he explained the issues, gave me options to correct the problem and set up a service plan at a very reasonable rate (which I did). He had my air pumping cool again within a short time. He was friendly, informative, and an all around wonderful tech. I definitely recommend him and Appleton Campbell for your heating/ac needs.

Dale from Appleton Campbell removed sub pump wet cell battery provided by the home builder in 2012 with a dry cell battery provided by Appleton Campbell. Dale was informative, professional, polite and clean throughout this job. I will be using Appleton Campbell again.

Yesterday, I needed a sink trap replaced. I called Appleton and the technician arrived in the afternoon. It took him 10 minutes to investigate and quote me $399 to replace the trap. I agreed because I needed it done immediately. Afterwards, I called two plumbers and asked for average price for this work: 185 - 265 was the range.

Nice work. But the overcharge is not very customer friendly. I'll go elsewhere next time.

The service and knowledge of their service people is above average and they extend themselves to make you feel like your job is the most important. Chris explained all of my options to fix or upgrade my air-conditionor without pressuring me.

Boy did I stumble across a great company. HVAC failed Sunday afternoon. Called Appleton-Campbell based on and ad I had received a while ago. Came out next day, received 4 phone calls and 1 text to keep me up to date. Did the repair in no time. I now have an annual maintenance contract with them.

Just had Appleton Campbell replace my failed Mitsubishi mini split with a Carrier. I was notified of their arrival via email and text, they did the job in about 3 hours, and were very professional in doing it. I am very happy with the installation and the unit.

Both, Glenn and his assistant were extremely helpful in solving the mystery of the light switch in our Patient restroom. Glenn gave us options that matched our financial situation. Update 09.21.2019- our air handler stopped working for some unknown reason to me, called at 7:15 pm. The tech was at our house within 5 minutes of his scheduled time. He got the fan started within 5 minutes and identified the problem as a leak in the system. Cost was reasonable for a.Saturday night call, even added a discount for resigning up for the twice yearly checks.

We stopped getting water from our well. Appleton Campbell's tech diagnosed the fact that our pump had failed, plus we had a problem with the pressure tank. The repair crew did all the necessary fixing, staying until 9 PM to make sure the job was completed the same day. Excellent responsiveness!!

Prior to my experience with Appleton Campbell, I knew very little about the operation and maintenance of my well pump. When my water stopped flowing on a Friday evening, I panicked, and wasn't very hopeful that I could get anyone to fix it at that late hour. However, when I called Appleton Campbell, the young lady on the phone (April) was very kind and professional, and assured me that my water would be back on that same night. She dispatched an emergency technician to my house, and he (Mr. Chad H.) arrived within 90 minutes of my call. After careful inspection, Chad immediately recognized that my pressure switch was bad, and carefully walked me through the process of replacing it. Chad then took extra time to instruct me on my well and filtration system, and recommended several maintenance procedures to consider going forward. Chad got my water back on that same night, increased my water pressure to the house, and tested my water quality, all in the same visit. He was very professional, knew his craft, and went the extra mile. Thank you very much for a very positive experience!!

I contacted a number of companies seeking installation of security lights. Appleton-Campbell was the first to return my calls. I was impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism, from the office staff to the electricians/technicians that eventually installed my lights. During the installation Matt and his support technician were conscientious and respectful. They answered my questions and made sure to get my input so the work they did matched my expectations. We called about our heating not working, the technician came out and said we needed to replace the infuser and he will send us a quote. We have not not received anything, and I called the office 3 days later and she said I should have it within an hour and still nothing. It's now been a month and still nothing, I went with another company to repair system. I will never call them again, they have terrible customer service.

I had to have my waterline from my house to the meter replaced. From the time the technicians came out for the estimate and throughout the repair, the technicians were very informative and professional. When they came inside they had masks and covered their shoes. They made sure to explain everything so I could understand. I would recommend them
to anyone.

In addition to the HVAC system checks, one of the benefits included with Appleton Campbell's service plan is the complimentary yearly plumbing and electrical inspections. We were extremely pleased with the thorough inspections performed by Plumber Kenny Mills and Electrician Glenn Griffin and appreciate their detailed explanations and recommendations for the upkeep of our house.

During a recent storm we had ice damage that broke the fan. Appleton Campbell came out and fixed that problem. But It appears that there was a secondary problem related the de-icing of the unit. A new control board was added. This fixed the problem - temporarily. After another repair visit Bill diagnosed the problem (lose wire) and fixed the problem. Appleton Campbell did not bill us for the board replacement. They were very professional related to the challenges of diagnosing and fixing an intermittent problem. We have been very happy with the Appleton Campbell service.

Matthew, the service person was extremely compitent, professional and thorough.

Very professional and friendly. I had a copper pipe leak through my ceiling so I had to shut the water off to my entire house. Called them the second they opened the next morning and was fortunate enough to have an schedule opening. They had a plumber to my house within the hour who fixed my problem quickly and efficiently. The plumber was a great guy. They aren't the cheapest and not the most expensive, but they are upfront, honest, and do quality work. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

I had a new heat pump installed by Appleton Campbell. The two technicians (Steven K and Dean S) did a fantastic job job. They arrived on time (as promised) and worked throughout the day. I hardly knew they were downstairs working. At the end of the day, their cleanup was spotless. I highly recommend Appleton Campbell for all your HVAC work. I have been using them for years and it is the only company I have fully trusted to do the job right the first time.

9 Apr 19 Did a cooling check as part of my service contract. All is still well and the tech did a superb job of inspection.

Great service provided today by the technician. Quality of work was very good. A little pricey but work is guaranteed. You may fine services cheeped but the quality of work is great. We really appreciated our experience with Appleton Campbell. Both of the techs who came out to our house were professional, knowledgeable, and personable. We especially appreciated the fact that the electrician didn t take advantage of us when it came to an issue with one of our GFI outlets. He offered us a simple solution that saved us $250. Couldn t recommend these guys more!

My furnace went out on the coldest day of the year so far. It was about 2 hours form call until service. Ronnie Bland was great!

Called at 6 PM for a stopped up toilet. Tech arrived about thirty minutes later. Turned out to be quite the challenge. Tim did not get flustered or show any upset that this wasn t going to be easy. Called for backup and between the two, the clog was gone and they were ready to work until it was finished. I was tired so they agreed Tim would come back today and finish clean up. He arrive on time and was on his way in about an hour after seating one toilet and replacing fillers on two older toilets. Tim was calm and polite the whole time. Would use again.

Appleton Campbell has the best customer service of any company that I have dealt with. This goes from the people you talk to on the phone about appointments to the service technicians that come to your house. Recently, I had Mike come out to perform a routine maintenance check and he also took care of the dirty coils...I didn't have to schedule a separate appointment.

We got an estimate from them to unclog our kitchen sink of $876.00 !! It was just a clog in that one small line. I worked for the Water Dept in Ocean City, MD for 23 years and I feel this is WAY over what it should be, so do several of my plumber friends. You can buy a brand new rooter machine on Amazon for less than $300.. We fixed it ourselves.

Seemingly very professional...BUT...VERY VERY EXCESSIVELY PRICED! The prices are incredibly high. I was charged almost $1,000 for a half hour of labor to install a $200 part that involves 3 mounting screws and two wire connection points. And now my AC doesn't work at all...nothing works...and the fan now revs up at incredibly high speeds like it wants to burst out of the unit. I turned it off immediately so it doesn't damage itself. Everything was working fine before they came just the heat didn't come on. Obviously, the part was not correct and or installed correctly and there could now be other damage caused to my unit.
