Always had a great staff. Bought an I-Phone &2 I-Pads there.
Always had a great staff. Bought an I-Phone &2 I-Pads there.
best store ever...okay maybe that's an exaggeration.
what's not a fib is that this Apple Store is my go-to for all things in the atmIOSphere...
the first floor covers everything from your iphone needs to apple watch wants to the glossy sleek mac airs, macbooks, imacs, and so on...the second floor is where the genius bar is, workshops and presentations at the open theater/auditorium...there are also a variety of Apple and third-party accessories and software sold here. the Beats are up here unless they moved them back downstairs again.
PRO TIP: Download and set up the Apple Store app for payment. it will make your life and keeping track purchases supereasy. also for products that are on the shelf, you can ay via app and just leave--no human interaction needed.
each floor is designed in a modern warm aesthetic. high ceilings. open and airy. not a lot of clutter, very clean-to-the-eye. clean sleek wood tables with products to be held, touched, sampled, etc. in order to close a sale as opposed to aisles stuffed with products, signs, and clutter. most items that you will buy will require staff assistance because stock of iphones, imacs, etc. are held there. a few items can be grabbed off the shelves or displays and taken to checkout, to a staffer to swipe and pay, or be paid for with the Apple Store App.
each floor is filled with Apple staffers to help you make a purchase or answer q's. in general, most Apple staffers are helpful and can field your basic questions. if they are unsure, I do like they check in with more knowledgeable staffers. i like the attention to details and the generally very friendly service. before i picked up my Apple Watch 3 w/ cell...i got all my q's answered and felt superinformed on aspects of the products not answered in the Apple forums. and as a runner, i could not be happier as a runner with the Apple Watch Nike+ w/cell and be able to marathon with music, phone and text connectivity, & more.
the genius bar is so easy to use. make an appointment on appledotcom then show up. the staff here take care of the rest via repair or replacement.
purchases seem so easy bc you don't have to wait on endless lines--either swipe your card with an Apple Staffer, tap with your iphone or app watch to make a purchase or use the Apple Store app to pay. honestly Apple makes purchasing so easy--i can get in and out of here in less than five minutes.
drops mic cuz my Beats aren't mic'ed up
Nice and big Apple store. I wish they would provide water while you wait for your appointments (we were there for 3 hours and had to quickly run out to grab a drink so we wouldn't lose our place in line.
FBI are trafficking child pornography and nude male photos on your computers in San Francisco, CA.
I have been to this Apple store where o presented one of my invention to the manager, in case they might be interested in working on this I really liked the shop and not much the service. Thanks America.
Huge. Very busy. Knowledgeable staff. Efficient and helpful.
Very good attention, a lot of predisposition on the part of all employees.
Everything Apple. Just make sure you schedule an appointment if you need the Genuis Bar ... wait times can be hours long for walk-ins
No prices anywhere and mediocre service for an Apple store. Still way better than most retail but not up to their standards.
Great store in an iconic shopping area of lower Manhattan
It's the worst Apple Store they always don't have anything
Apple store was a beautiful place. I like the idea that they wanted to learn people how to use a mac or a ipad i think that was a really nice service
As far as Apple stores go this is a pretty cool one and the people tend to be very nice and it s right around the corner from of course all kinds of awesome New York City shopping!
"If you not purchase, you can't come in" saids one of the employees from the door. This is the worst customer support I ever had.
It seems they know who to give the correct and proper service too.I just bought a iPhone 6s I was there for phone service ,I just bought the phone there.isaw the representatives that sold the phone to me.very snobby and most of the other workers seemed highly prejudice bad vibes that day .felt like a diffent store.
Historic Apple flagship store, one of the first stores inaugurated by Jobs, I went several times (I am an apple user since 1984), fantastic free concerts that are held every so often in the mini auditorium ... the great Goo Goo Dolls, Keith Urban , Civil Twilight ... but there have also been Linking Park, Adele, etc ... for these events of a certain importance it is better to spend the day (or some days before) to ensure one of the few places available ...
Busy store, excellent teaching-Pros and free Photo Walks.
I used to Genius Bar and the guy that helped me was very helpful and personable... not too long of a wait even though I didn't have a reservation.
Came in and the place was packed. Met with the nice greeters up front and they asked us what we were in for. After telling them we were looking for a phone upgrade and they told us where the phones were and someone would be with us in 10 minutes. Great news it took maybe 5 minutes and we met up with Clinton. He was outstanding. Took time to go over features of the new phone as my wife had a lot of camera questions. She was sold after hearing the differences. Then my daughter wanted to look at the watches and Clinton helped us find her the perfect watch. He was so friendly in the middle of sea of humanity that was in the store and made us feel like we were the only ones in the store. When you come into this Apple location ask for Clinton. He was awesome!!! Happy Holidays
Diehard Android user and former Windows user, but recently became a Mac convert. I bought the entry level Mac mini online, but found that it was a bit underpowered, so I decided to swing by the store to see if they can do an upgrade for me. For what it's worth, Apple's phone support is pretty horrible. However, bringing the Mac mini into the store was the best decision I made. The gentleman in front was able to take care of everything with his mobile device, and even was able to honor my corporate discount for the upgraded Mac mini.
I always find this apple helpful and polite no matter the traffic which can be daunting. Better than 14th Street and other apples that I have been to. Israel and Chris are among the best workers there.
Super friendly staff. A bit busy, but to be expected.
Kind staff, I didn t have to wait long even when there was a new release- terrible time to have to go to any apple store. Everything went smoothly and asked me if I had any questions or need any help after my purchase and appointment.
Probably some of the most helpful tech support I've ever experienced!
It is an Applestore not as crowded as the one on Fifth Avenue, and in a perfect neighborhood to later go for a walk.
Appointments really don't mean much here. The store is clean and really not packed for a New York City Apple store, and yet the lines to see the geniuses do not seem to diminish.
My appointment was at 1:40 p.m., they treated me at 2:30 p.m. - Doha if you blew the penalty or not
Wide, cool, with places to sit and use your equipment. Good service and all the products for the fans of the brand to delight.
Matt was very helpful and nice! Loved having him help me replace my air pods case
This Apple store, just like many, has the latest things, and is full of helpful people. I have not bought anything, but the people are helpful in answering my questions.
Typical Apple store. Crowded, badly organized, understaffed, and the staff that was there was arrogant as usual.
the "first" Apple Computer, Inc in New York, to visit when you go from SoHo
Very big professional looking spot staff friendly willing to listen and help .. for all your apple need head to this location fully staffed to meet your needs ...
I always enjoy visiting the Apple store, but this location has gone above and beyond to answer any questions and give any help when it comes on to their products.
More of the same. Downtime ... expensive and with fewer resources.
Love this location. It's so easy to get around & is near all the designer stores in Soho.
One of the first Apple stores in NYC, this one is still going strong. A good opportunity to check out Apple tech and the staff strike a nice balance of being available to answer questions without hovering over you.
I went to this place to exchange my headphones. I was a walk-in so I didn't mind the wait. I register for a walk-in appointment and the guy who did the appointment said it will take 20-30 minutes, I didn't mind and I stayed in the waiting area that has a projector. It was about 45 minutes and I go ask the one of the tech support people and ask how much longer do I have to wait that is been 45 minutes. The tech guy said to me did you make your appointment today and I tell him yes and he tells well it takes longer for walk-ins. Story short I come to find out that the guy who did my appointment in the first place had cancel my appointment and that's why I was waiting for so long. If I never ask someone, I would've been waiting there for hours and I would've never been called.
Always the coolest Apple Store in NYC! Nice auditorium, classes, and celebrity guests
When in the Apple store of the 5th Av. I did not get the iPhone 10x I found it in soho good attention and fast
Had a wonderful experience here today fixing my phone. Sean, the manager, went out of his way to help and it made my day. Very professional and helpful. Thank you!!
I get there before a line forms and the host at the front tells me it s a 10-15 min wait right now. Totally understandable under the conditions. People start lining up behind me and are waiting to enter. As more people join the line the host is starting to lose control of the line because people are standing everywhere.
after waiting for about 15 minutes , I ve been seeing few groups of people exit the store. I ask the host how much longer and he asks another person at the front who tells him it s now going to be 20 more minutes..
At this point I m a little upset because there was no communication about the increase of time or the reason for it. I completely understand the metering process during these times of the pandemic but communication and stability is important. Multiple employees out there but no one knows how to operate a line efficiently or let people in line know what s going on. I didn t want to continue waiting in line as it was really cold and i left. Keep in mind that i was the first person in line and i stepped off.
Having service or help getting more difficult every year. Every stuff thinks he is Steve Job..
My 6 plus died, and my mom wanted to switch from her 5s to 8 plus, so we went in with thoughts of buying the all brand new 8 plus unlocked. I went in, was told to wait in the line. 10 mins later the girl came to help me out. I told her that we wanted 2 iphone 8 plus with 64gb in Silver and unlocked. She went on and kept asking me if i wanna go with any mobile carrier. I had to repeat no less than 4 times that i wanted them unlocked. Then she kept asking me no less than 5 times about the color the memory capacity ... i mean she didnt seem to be attentive enough... but fine. When i said i didnt want no carrier she looked at me like i turned her down or something. Do you get percentage if you can hook the customer up with a selected carrier? I dont know but thats not how you look at us? After giving that experience, she said the phones werent available in store. And she walked away without telling me goodbye or asking if i needed help to check for the phone s availability in other store... so i had to sit down there and called them myself.
I used to come here to get all my phones, but no anymore. Not ever.
Saw the other poor posts bit I had a great experience. They also took extra time to explore other apps I might like.

Definitely the guys over here don't understand about customer support. I went to buy an iPhone 5S, the guy rudely said, just drop-in everyday to see if we have stock, I can't tell you when we get, and the guy did not even stand at a place and was walking; I had to follow him to hear what he was saying.
Probably over confident, and the obviously one of the fewer places where customers are NOT treated as a king.
Had an appointment, to which I showed up 10 minutes early.I checked in and was told where to sit. 39 minutes later, I left without being assisted.
Not sure the point of making an appointment.. Saw people come go, come and go again, before I just got up and left.
Apple world that more to say, excellent for when you walk through soho and need WiFi
I bought phone today at this store, Faisal who helped me was so nice and helpful, great place and stuff! Thanks Apple Soho
