The Anne Frank Huis is a must see. I recommend the short lecture educational experience when you visit. You re taken through the timeline of events leading up to the Frank family being discovered and sent to the concentration camps. The educational lecture and tour is a small group with a lead. You enter at a separate entrance. Many diaries were written during this period of time. It s only because Otto Frank would later get Anne s diary returned to him and decide to have it published that we have record of events as it would unfold.

I was also amazed that the house was Otto s business, on a very busy street, right by one of the picturesque canals in Amsterdam, sitting also in the shadows of a church. So much life was passing by everyday, as the Frank family and many others remained in hiding.

So,this is the actual hiding place where a Jewish family lived during the nazi reign in Holland. You walk through the narrow corridors and up the stairs, imagining what it would be like to live there at that period of time and place. As an Israeli and as a Jew it was very intense for me and important. This was my second visit here. Tickets are to be purchased via web a head of time. No pics are allowed to be taken inside. An audio guide is provided for free(loads of languages).

Great historical place to understand better the story behind Anne's story and WW2, however the line-ups are huge and it's somehow chaotic, specially on a pouring rain day like it was my case.

It is so hard to imagine that Anne Frank has been hiding behind these doors for more than 2 years. Whilst Anne did not survive the war, we are blessed with her diary to understand our past and make sure this never happens again

This is an incredible museum that walks you through the historical context that surrounded Anne Frank. The annex gave me goosebumps, it is a surreal experience, everything is kept as it was when the Gestapo registered the place.
The audio tour is a must!

A very thoughtful look at the atrocities that happened during the holocaust in the Netherlands through the eyes of a teenage girl. You really get a sense for what the family had to go through as you look through their belongings and see where they spent their time in hiding.

Long, long, long waiting line. Did not get a ticket two months in advance. Therefore had to wait in line for 2 hours. Even with the strong wind and occasional rain it was for sure worth it. You get a real feel and great insight into what it must've been like for the people hiding here. Audiotour really great, overall cost was very low for the popularity it has.

Visiting this museum is an experience. Tickets need to be bought atleast 2 months in advance through their online site.
Inside the museum, the atmosphere was perfectly set so that we can get a feel of what it was like when Anne Frank was living there. There is also a cafe inside the building to satisfy hunger pangs.

Not that impressive. Not sure why it's so popular, but you have to book weeks in advance to get in. And for what? Visit a concentration camp instead, read her book. There's not much here to see. And what about the other 6 million people?

You have to book in advance, as it does get busy. Booking the 30 minute introduction tour, was an excellent choice too, as we only had to be there about 5 minutes before it started, with no queuing. Just a shame you can't take pictures. Excellent viewing and so informative.

This is a must while visiting Amsterdam. A heart wrenching reminder of just one of the victims of antisemitism. See and walk through here Anne actually lived (hid) before they murdered that sweet little girl. Be prepared to stand in lines and to cry as a witness to actual history. See the original diaries.

With the current atrocities being done in Syrian n Palestinian people, this house reminds us of emotions which the Jews would have gone through during Holocaust. Should be a lesson for all to get rid of cannibalism.

What an historical place to visit. I highly recommend coming here and ordering your tickets online. The best time to is the morning with little traffic. Once inside you cannot take pictures or video record. I did see some people sneak shots but I honestly believe you should be respectful and not take pictures.

The place does have steep stairs so please be aware if you have any ailments or physical injuries.

One of the best museums I have been to. I typically hate audio guided museums, but in this case nothing can beat the guide in terms of depicting the sadness and pain the Jewish people suffered

Another must see place in Amsterdam but it s a little bit depressing for the sensitive people so I d recommend making this one of the first few things to do when you go to Amsterdam and do all the fun and slightly crazy bits later.

Very well maintained and very serene and tells a lot of history. Definitely a must see!! Its also by the canal side so makes for very beautiful walk/bike ride/canal cruise. Tram station is 2 minutes walk merely and canal station just across the road.

Only con- Lots of stairs and no handicap access. :(

A very intense and interesting experience. Highly recommend for anyone interested in history or Anne Frank's story. The only downside was the amount of people in the house at the same time. It made it a little crowded.

Impressive history inside this house. Anne Frank was a small girl who lived a life that no one would like to live, I just hope this history to be an example for the humanity, and I hope this never happen again.

Remember that you will have buy the tickets online. The place is very busy and you must book 1 week before!

It is a really moving museum of a little girl who has touched so many lives. Please visit . It helps u to have a better understanding of a whole people (jewish ofcourse ) went through .It makes u sad to think that the world got to such a place where persecution (extermination)of a whole people was allowed based on their beliefs ! But now it seems like its been begining to happen once again to another kind of people (muslims ) .

I would have loved to go inside because I have read Anne Frank's diary, but you have to book a visit several weeks in advance. On top of that, the entrance fee is expensive. Everyone should have access to this building because of its history.
