I would never go there again, they are nice with you but stealing your money without noticing, I put my car for oil pan gasket replace, they said 11 hours labor... (actually they spent not more than 4 hours on it), I dropped my car at 4pm they are open 7am-7pm they called me the next day at 11:30am the car is ready for pick up, I was like guys this means 7 hours labor not 11 if the warranty covers $120 labor per hour you charge $150per hour and i have to pay the difference you are stealing $120 from my pocket for nothing and one of the guys was like what you mean nothing We fixed your car... I was like thus means this is my last time here and he was like OK( whatever we have other valuable customers we can steal the money from) and they also charged me $100 for disposal (oil and gasket) thru the extended warranty I have $100 deductible but I paid $400 if I went to some other shop I would pay only $100. So guys if you have extra money to waiste this is perfect place for. Good luck

Im a 1st time car buyer so my experience wasn t good at all.. I went in and perched a used 2012 Chevy Equinox. We looked at many cars & we got to go home with this one! Our Sales rep Erine wasn t professional at any point! He ignored me when i kept asking him for the car facts, He ignored my father as he kept asking questions about the Equinox. We waited 8 hours for all the paper work and everything to get done! He never showed me the car facts until I got very upset. I then already put a down payment on this Chevy & he try forcing me to put more when I did not want too. This isn t good customer service at all & I will never step foot in Advance Chevy again! Bought a car here and on 2nd day check engine light came on took it in for service, left it but then got called that there was no light on so they couldn t check it. If I could give you guys a zero I totally would but the only thing that has barely saved your butts is Felipe - so he's the only guy there that deserves a star. As for the service, it's garbage..... my car has been in there for the same issue since 10k mi .... the best part from the last visit is the there is a clear note on the work order ' fix it right the first time' which tells me how you 'delicately' select people who can't fix an issue right. Which is probably super profitable for you guys since throwing random parts at a car is easy. Unfortunately for your dealership there are smart people who still walk this planet- I have all the paperwork and will be filing a claim with GM regarding this issue .... You provide great service, but charge waaaaay too much for some things. You want $20-$30 dollars to replace a Cabin Air Filter. You don't even need tools for this. You unsnap a tab in the glove box, lift it out, lift 2 tabs, take out the old filter and put in the new one. Are you crazy? $30-$40 to replace an Air filter. It's 4 screws and 2 clamps. No thank you. I spoke with Dan on the phone earlier in the day and he told me to ask for Crystal when I arrived. Tony immediately sat me down while he tracked down Crystal and introduced us. Tony then took over and made the overall experience hassle free. He spoke honestly and honored the Internet price without any hassles. I ASSUMED the service department repaired my a/c this past January. Before I drove my car off of the lot I cut the a/c on but it did not work. A service clerk produced a print out which stated the a/c will not work if the temperature is under 35 degrees.
Since I do not have a heated garage I accepted his explantation. Now three months a later I attempted to use the a/c only to find that it was not prepared correctly. I returned my car to Advantage to have the a/c checked and I was told I had to pay $130.00 check. I refused to sign the invoice so I has to wait two and a half hours before I and told I must sign the invoice before my car is checked. So I do only to learn that I needed a corroded wire replaced.
I would have assumed that when I paid the $130.00 back in January a complete check of the a/c would have been performed to diagnose the problem, instead the service department attempted to have me pay another $130.00 to replace a wire that should have been found back in January.
Now this has be wondering if $730 spent in January was to replace working parts. Considering that the mechanic DID NOT repair my a/c back in January you would think that the service department would be more accommodating.

In these tough times with the limited options for new cars and reliable-fair priced service I'm going to find my glass half full with Advantage Chevrolet in Hodgkins, they not only gave me a fair price and went above and beyond communicating with me through the entire process they also put up with my hectic schedule and accommodated my needs, the service manager Rudy also kept his kool when my evil twin challenged him to find a better deal on my hard to find tires, they also fixed several other small items at no charge and gave me my car back super clean and on time, I'm surprised by all the negative reviews, read them carefully, most are written by people that didn't even purchase a car they just had very unrealistic expectations when shopping for a car, It's a car dealer not IHOP, It's a very large purchase that can't and shouldn't be rushed, I'm not in the market for a new car anytime soon but if I decide to buy Chevy I'm for sure going to buy from Advantage Hodkins again, Think Globally, Shop Locally....

So far, very disappointed with this dealership. Picking out the car was a breeze. Took maybe 1/2 hour. Then we waited for financing well beyond what we were promised. Didn't get out of there until 11 PM!!!! The finance guy claimed he has been requesting evening help for months which has fallen on the deaf ears of the cheap owner who clearly has no respect for his customers' time or experience. Additionally, they were apparently out of license plate stickers (really????) and PROMISED us that someone from the dealership would be driving our plates out to us the next day - no one did, no one called to explain why or give us an update. Had to call about 9 times in a row to finally get someone live who promised to call us back that night with a resolution or update - he never did. Our salesperson eventually called apparently in error and thought he was actually calling someone else, told me he would personally drive the plates over himself as he knew they were promised. He never did and never called to explain why or give us an update. I had to text him for an update and now he's talking about 2 full business days later than promised.
I feel that this firm has zero regard for their customer experience and tries (without success) to rely on charm to delay resolution over and over again. I will NEVER purchase a vehicle here again and recommend highly against anyone else doing so or even bringing their car in for service based up on the other reviews. Shame on the owner and management team for allowing this garbage customer service to go on!!!

Advantage Chevy and their sales manager Michael Armstrong are liars and scammers. I returned my leased car to the dealership after my lease expired and all payments were made. I was assured, that they would take care of everything. However, they failed to notify GM Financial (their finance company), that the car was returned, which resulted in me being reported to credit bureaus for not returning the car and being chased by collectors.
Michael Armstrong played it cool, pretended not to know anything about the car and only after I threatened to call police on them, he agreed to sign a letter stating that the whole thing was not my fault. Took me a year to correct my credit report.
Avoid this dealership and GM Financial at all cost.

Be very wary when you come to this dealership. They live up to their name- taking advantage of you. I had brought my car in several occasions and everytime it was a nightmare. They'll try to talk you into their trade exchange even after saying no, because everyone will ask you. Always trying to get you to buy packages and things you don't need. Last time I went in there explaining I had leaking coolant problems with a check engine light on, they couldn't figure out anything. They stood there dumbfounded like they never worked on a car before. The one mechanic had to keep asking his co-worker questions. If you don't know your car or about cars they'll sell you on whatever. That day I ended spending 500 dollars just to have the check engine light come right back on not even a mile down the road. Got fed up going there so I called around a few different dealerships. When I found one that seemed reasonable they helped me out beyond belief. They went through my papers from advantage- which their note taking sucks. And found that one of the parts I had bought was underneath my warranty and it extends it! I'm so upset with advantage that they did not want to honor my warranty package. Even when I asked what powertrain covers they basically said nothing- which that's not the case. I strongly recommend not going to this place- ever. Not even for an oil change. If you want to get the run around and throw away your dollars. Then this place is for you.

I was told by a gentleman at the service center that my coolant leak from the radiator reservoir would be covered by the powertrain warranty (which is still valid) but was told other wise when I came to pick it up. I confirmed the day I brought my vehicle in AND on the phone that I would be covered. Made the mistake of trusting his words.
Use the service center as a last resort, but if you must, ask for ALL estimates in writing or even voice recording consent to keep their staff accountable for all communications exchanged..
Will not be returning to this dealer unless my card is being credited. The radiator reservoir may not even be a new part from the photos/inspection I took.. If this repair does not hold, I am positive I will be investing in a different car manufacture. Very disappointing after being brand loyal for almost 7 years

1000% better than my experience at other dealerships. Fast and friendly....even in during current state of events. Repair required a rental. Figured it would be at least a day based on experiences elsewhere (Kingdom Chevy I'm looking at you). Rental was taken care of onsite and repairs were completed in a few hours. Found my new preferred Chevy service center!

Went in for service on my prior vehicle and I have to admit I absolutely loved their vehicle exchange program. Jason Daniel was absolutely magnificent explaining everything to me and my husband. Had a wonderful experience. I am very happy and satisfied with my experience. There was no pressure, no bombarding me with unwanted information and no harassment. A very relaxed buying experience.

Service center is a joke. The manager Felipe should be held accountable for his employees shotty work, obviously he cannot run a reliable service shop. Over tightened the oil drain bolt, which that should see nothing over 20ft pounds at most. Then when called out on it does nothing, that's not service. Don't take you're car to a shop that can't even do the simplest job right.

Not trustworthy. Sell cars with wrong parts. Took it to another dealer who found the problem was caused because they sold it with the wrong parts. They are unwilling to hold themselves accountable for the matter. All they say, is it was a used car and it came to us like that. Will definitely not be buying from this dealership again. Expect problems after your purchase, and unwillingness to from dealer to remedy their neglection on their part.
