Very honest and trusting establishment... patience and courtesy is very evident!!! We were sent there from GMC dealer next door...for competence reasons....you do the math......GMC sent a...... GMC 3500 Denali HD dually diesel to Chevy dealer!!!!! I am grateful for the honesty from both ends!!!

They refused to give me information on a vehicle I was interested in. I asked at least 7 times and continued to get the run around by the sales person. I specifically asked for a breakdown in the pricing that they are actively advertising on the site. They refused. How can you advertise prices that you can't explain? I requested the sales manager, and they wouldn't contact me either. WORST dealership ever. Go there if you don't want to be told how much a vehicle costs, specs, or anything related to the $20,000+ vehicle that they want you to buy.

Test drove a vehicle and loved it. It was late in the evening and was told that the used car guy wasn t in but would call the next day. All of the financial information was taken and credit we run. Even if they weren t able to work out a deal for me, the courtesy of a phone call would have been appreciated. It was a 50 minute drive each way. Should have read the reviews before making the trip out there.

They offer video diagnostic that you can see from your phone to know they are taking their time checking your vehicle. I had a bad experience with Jack Phelan Chevrolet and wanted to go somewhere else next time something was wrong with my vehicle, and I m happy I did.

I am a manager of a Credit Union that was set to provide financing for one of our members purchasing a vehicle from this dealership. They sent me the purchase order with the vehicle information and the member made an appointment with the credit union AND the dealership to purchase the car. When she arrived to sign her documents and pick up her check from the credit union she made a call to make sure everything was still good to go since I had not yet received a dealer agreement back from them (to ensure proper titling/lienholder info on the titlework). She was informed that someone else was signing paperwork to purchase her vehicle. They had pressured her the night before to take their financing and she declined because she is loyal to her credit union and our lower rates and then they sold the car out from under her. When I asked to speak to a manager about the situation he said, and I quote, "Are you a moron?? She could've signed our financing last night and had the car. You just cost us a sale and her a car." Yes, you read that right, the manager of the dealership, speaking to a manager of a finance company, called me a moron for asking what happened with this vehicle after my member AND her friend/ride took off work early to purchase from their dealership. She said they harassed her all day through text to "hurry up and get the check and get over here." I will be steering my membership away from this dealer in the future.

I'm the Biggest Car Salesman Skeptic On The Face Of The Earth. However, I left Super Happy!!! Pablo Bear was my Salesman and Fabian Murillo was my Finance leader.

Other Dealerships gave me a high APR so I went through my credit union for financing. Advantage Chevrolet (Fabian) Beat My Credit Union's APR.

Pablo was kind, professional, knowledgeable about the cars and didn't flinch as I asked tough questions.

If you're looking for the best deal then buy from Advantage. They're equipped with the best prices, best knowledge, and great attitudes for tough customer's like me.

Awesome experience when buying my first Chevy! It started when I got on the lot. I was approached by a salesman (usually an experience I dread). Andrew Fitzpatrick was someone I would recommend to everyone!! Not only was he personable, but Andrew was not pushy or pressuring in our entire time from looking at numerous cars on the lot, to test driving cars and, finally, negotiating a deal. He was up front on the details of all cars, knowledgeable about the Chevy lineup of cars and willing to work on my time frame within my parameters. I would buy every car from Andrew because of the low pressure, customer first attitude.

Working closely with Andrew on the delivery of my car was Justine Klotz, the Delivery Specialist. She helped me load the "My Chev" app, get me hooked up with OnStar and walked me through the interior features of the auto. She too was kind, personable and knowledgeable about all things Chevy. Finally, Mark Brown was my Finance Manager and got me through the process as any good $$ man would -- quick, painless and with plenty of laughs.

Advantage Chevrolet was awesome and that is the case because an awesome staff is there to help.

I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. They are the absolute worse. My daughter bought her first brand new car here after graduating college. What was supposed to be a super happy and proud moment was ruined by the lies and rudeness by the sales and service side. It is 6 months later, and the phone call she was promised, from upper management, still hasn t happened. I wouldn t recommend this dealership to my worst enemy.

I've visited Advantage Chevrolet a couple weeks before I purchase my vehicle and I was denied the vehicle I wanted because of income restrictions. After saving up enough more money for a down payment I came back to Advantage Chevrolet to Cyril who was my previous sales person. Cyril immediately knew my situation and he was completely honest with me. After deciding on what will work for my budget Cyril offered me a 2016 Malibu. I had really wanted an Impala but Cyril explained to me the good perks the Malibu has which was similar to the impala. I was pleased and we began the process. Upon being approved for the vehicle the staff along with Cyril sang happy birthday to me because that weekend was my birthday. I was very pleased and excited. They made me and my daughter feel welcomed and appreciated. The process was quick and the staff were all engaged. Thank you Cyril and Advantage Team for making my birthday a day I wont forget and for getting me back on the road.

As a result, Chris will be on the only person I will give my business to when I need my car serviced. He was attentive, professional and trustworthy. As first time car buyers, we lucked out with traveling about an hour to car shop Advantage Chevy in Hodgkins.
We had the pleasure of working with Gonzalo Morales, no pressure/hanggling whatsoever from him. He was very patient, kind and knowledgeable on the vehicles they have on their lot.
He took quite a few hours helping us chose the car that was a good fit for our family and test driving vehicles with us.
We chose to buy used, which can be scary because you never know if there are hidden issues. Advantage Chevy Hodgkins made sure that the used car we purchased was in great condition with no hidden problems to pop up later!
I highly highly recommend this dealership and Gonzo himself!
When it is time for us to purchase again, we will absolutely be going back to Advantage Chevy Hodgkins!!!!

I went in with a picture of the Chevy Aveo that I saw online. I was immediately greeted by someone. I gave the gentlemen the picture and within a few minutes the car was parked and ready for me to test drive. I loved the service I received and after the actual process was done and over with, I drove away in my new-to-me 2011 Chevy Aveo. I honestly with I could remember the gentlemen's name because he was very nice and helpful.

Will never buy from Advantage again... They false ...

Will never buy from Advantage again... They false advertised a vehicle. They told us it was an LT model when it was an LS model. The paperwork even stated that it was an LT but once we looked up the VIN # we realized it was an LS. So basically they sold us an LS for an LT price. When we contacted them about it they didn't feel that there was anything wrong with the situation. They tried to tell us that we got a good deal on the car but they had two other cars (same yr) on the lot that where LS models with similar or less miles for less money. It Took two days for the general manager to contact us then we had to drive 2.5 hrs back there to talk to the manager Jason Roberts but he didn't seem to want to help us out either. Eventually we traded the vehicle for another car on their lot but we were still not happy because they wanted us to cover all the fees on the new vehicle. After much frustration on our part they agreed to cover SOME of the fees and we just agreed so we could be done with the whole ordeal. They are the worst dealer I have ever delt with and I will never deal with them again, nor do I recommend them to others.

I did pay and had it replaced, but the initial problem still persist. Im going to go back soon. This is not the first time this happens .

This dealership lies about it's prices! I went there and they told me that they were forced by GM to put ridiculous low prices on the net, even knowing that most customers will not qualify. I told them that was a bait and switched tactics. Their Sales Manager, M. Armstrong, claims that's how we get customers to come in.

This is the most despicable dealership. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!!!!

Lead by Tom and the new trainee, each staff member played a major role towards my opportunity of purchasing the new 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. I was warmly welcomed by Emmanuel. The rest of the staff who I was introduced to were friendly as well. They were extremely professional throughout the whole process, specifically Angel Mungia who was very polite and answered all my questions thoroughly and patiently. Couple hours later I drove out with my new 2014 Impala! It was fairly priced and I don't have any complaints except that I wish I had known about this place sooner and not wasted hours upon hours at several other dealerships :/ Thanks Advantage Chevy!! I was recommended to come here by a friend and after my experience, I personally recommend this place to anyone who is interested in buying a new (or used) car!

I didnt want to believe the reviews about customer service but they are correct, ive called my salesman two times in thr last week and he picked up once and never called me back, horrible customer service and after he sold us the truck, he said to give him good reviews when we got a survey, i called again a week later to set up a package a for my truck, tjats what the lady on the phone called it, she said i will get a call to bring it in, and no surprise no call, again. This is Sept 9 2017 and I never received the $25 gas card that they said I would receive if I answered the survey, then they call my wife and tell her not to bring in the truck for oil change till 7,500 miles , just seems like they are full of it, they said they washed my truck but the same stain was in the bed of my truck including a sticker I put back there, took my truck in Oct 10th or 11th, for oil change, when I got it back the paper said what they did or what they so called did, when I got home i went underneath to see if the mark I did was still there and it was and they said they reset my oil% which they didn't, but they claimed they did according to the paper work, after i did survey they called yo take it in to reset it, it's a good thing I took pic of the mark I did b4 oil change, cause it was still there after they said they did oil change

I am more than happy with my recent experience of buying a 2014 Checy Cruze. I pride myself in being a Chevy girl and now I am proud to say that I am part of the Advantage family. The experience of buying my new car was fast, easy and delightful. I was so scared walking in to being in a dealership for hours and dealing with the back and forth. Mike and Chris worked great together with Mr.Brown in getting me in and out of the dealership and on my way in my new car. From the moment you walk in, you experience the best customer service from being greeted with a smile to their follow up phone calls. I recommend anyone who is hesitant to step into a dealership to stop in Advantage and experience the high quality sales experience I did. From Chris knowledge on the vehicles, to Mike Armstrong working on getting me the best deal, to Jason Roberts, general sales manager, assuring me I was getting a great deal. I get appropriate service at this Chevrolet dealer...

I get appropriate service at this Chevrolet dealership but am not without concerns. The last time I had my car repaired here, the woman in service told me that she would call me "tomorrow morning" about my car. I waited until approximately 1PM and called her. She abruptly said, "Let me call you right back!" and hung up. She never called. After I called back and talked to the person who I assumed was the manager of the service department about the woman refusing to return promised phone calls, things started to get moving. No, she still didn't call me back, but the manager finally got in touch with me and told me my car was ready.
Oddly, since this happened, I have heard from the woman who wouldn't call me back "three times" by text. She keeps telling me that I "may get a survey" and she wants to make sure I was satisfied, apparently so I will give her a 5-star rating!?!? I haven't gotten the survey yet. But if I do, she can wait as long as I waited for return calls to get that 5-star rating. It ain't coming! Good service. Some very good service agents. But I got stuck with one who doesn't call customers when she promises to do so. Not good at all!
UPDATE: The last 2 visits, they insisted I need a new battery when I didn't. The mechanics base the age of the vehicle and not the condition of the battery on their battery sales pitch. Both times I insisted they check the recently-purchased battery and it was fine. These practices need to stop!

Experience with everything including the salespers...

Experience with everything including the salesperson was fine except for the most important part. I was on their website and found a Traverse with pricing. Spoke to internet manager confirmed price and decided to drive in and purchase. They pulled the vehicle and he went over the price which was $5000 higher than the internet price. I was told that I can't buy it for that price. Very disappointed with the false advertising I experienced. They did get me in the dealership though so that's probably a win for them.

Worst customer service I had.
Promised too many things but didnt get any of them done. Bought a Chevrolet Traverse and couple months later I had to buy new tires for it and they wouldn't do anything about it.

Every thing they told me was a lie including the loan,gave me wrong bank, wrong interest rate and the wrong price.

Do not buy at this dealership they do not backup anything they say.

On July 18, I brought my car in for an oil change and wound up buying a new vehicle! While I was waiting for service to be done, Debra talked me into speaking with a salesman and he was wonderful! He took the time to show me the new vehicles he had in stock, answered my questions and spent a lot of time with me. Tony Wyatt was very courteous and helpful. I left the dealer with a big smile on my face and a beautiful silver Equinox!

I would also like to thank Raul for his great customer service in getting my previous car serviced quickly and thoroughly. I have been going to Advantage for service on my old vehicle for quite a while. Each and every time was a nice experience...from the people I met to the quality of service and length of waiting time. A huge thank you to a wonderful dealership!

The tech or whomever drove my truck backed into so...

The tech or whomever drove my truck backed into something and bent my bumper. When I raised the question to the service writers and the manager of that department or whom acted as such, they seemed as if never not here, then the service writer gal came out rubbed the paint transfer off and the manager guy said he'll take it around back to look at it. Came back and said it's fine. The truck was only on the road the day before to drive home from having a brand new bumper put at the body shop,parked in my driveway by my self , then brought to you dealership in the morning, only to have a $742.00 bumper ruined and wrote off by your employees. Needless to say I'll never be back there or recommend any to purchase anything from you. This may be harsh but when my truck was in the shop to get the bumper replaced, I was informed I had purchased a damaged vehicle from you as well. You know damn well you will never publish my response, but however I still have the opportunity to do so ,to show the people the true side of you business.

June 12th 2020 I went back to Advantage of hodgkins and bought my second vehicle from them. This time a brand new 2020 Impala. Had the same salesman as last time, Cyril. Experience was just as good as the first time I went some 7 years ago. Got an awesome car for an awesome price. I am very happy with the price and car. People here are friendly and hopefully soon I can go back a buy a 3rd vehicle from them.

I went to Advantage of Hodgkins in July of 2013 to buy a used 2012 Impala that I saw on Autotrader the day before. I met with Cyril, my car salesman. I have to say the experience at Advantage was great. I have brought cars before in the past but this dealership and the salesman I had really made my purchase enjoyable. The dealership was very clean, everybody in there treated you with a smile. They are willing to work with you and give you the best deal they can. The reasons why I gave the ratings I did was mainly because of the enjoyable experience I received at Advantage. Cyril was probably the best salesman I have ever had. At past dealerships I didn't enjoy buying the cars as much but here it was very enjoyable. I didn't have many questions to ask when I got there but the questions I did ask, Cyril made sure to answer them to the best of his ability. He answered all my questions I did ask and he was quick on his toes. The process of buying a car is still slow which isn't their fault. It's just how it works. But they have definitely earned me as a customer. I never had any service work done on my car at Advantage only because it is about 20 miles from my home so I can't give an opinion on them. Overall, I am completely satisfied. I even brought my cousin here and he bought a car from Cyril as well. My father is next....

We had a great experience at the Advantage Chevrolet Dealership in Hodgkins. The staff greeted us with smiling faces from the beginning. You could tell the employees enjoyed their jobs and were happy to answer any questions you may have. The salesperson that we worked with, Shadi Ahmed, was very knowledgeable about the vehicles offered and was helpful throughout the decision process. We truly enjoyed working with him and appreciate his honesty and professionalism. The dealership is easy to locate from anywhere in the Chicagoland area. We came from Des Plaines and it was worth the trip. I would recommend working with this dealership to any of my friends.

For the last 15,000 miles I ve heard a bearing sou...

For the last 15,000 miles I ve heard a bearing sound coming from my Chevy City Express. After researching what may be causing the sound I came to the conclusion that it might be my HUB bearing(s). I brought it to two Different Chevy dealers, Twice to Hawk Chevy (8200 Harlem Ave, Bridgeview, IL 60455) and twice to Advantage Chevy (9510 Joliet Rd, Hodgkins, IL 60525). Every time I asked for a vehicle inspections and please check those hub bearing on ALL OCCASIONS. On the visits prior to today my vehicle was under warranty, now it has over 50,000 miles NO WARRANTY.
So today I brought it in to Advantage and SHAZAM I need new hubs in the rear, it wasn t my tires or some other noise now but today while outside the warranty it for sure is my HUBS to the tune of $900.00. It s amazing what 1,200 miles outside the warranty period will give you. Not to mention but the vehicle inspections that used to cost around $30 now cost me $160 to tell me I need hubs that were supposed to be checked and under warranty on the prior occasions.
I will never buy another Chevy again. You two Chevy dealers S*?k.

My experience here started off great. I came in to get a routine oil change on my vehicle and I was helped by Alex in the service department. He did a great job with keeping me updated on the status of my vehicle and even informed me on how to redeem my GM Reward points to use toward my service price. Upon completion of my service I noticed that my keys were given to another person who actually walked out with them. The only thing I got in response was that it was an accident. This woman who I do not know could of have stolen my vehicle or items inside of my vehicle as she proceeded to leave with my keys. The manager here did not want to credit me $12 for the inconvenience of this and instead threaten to call the police. When I explained to him the principal of the situation he continued to say that it was an accident and they would not be responsible if something happened to my vehicle because of their mishap. I have purchased two vehicles from this dealership and never had any problems before but it goes to show how much they care about their customers satisfaction.

I bought my car at another Chicagoland chevy deale...

I bought my car at another Chicagoland chevy dealer along with an extended warranty plan. I know what the standard GM warranty labor rates are, as well as the standard labor rates at the dealer I bought the car from. I have no issues with the quality of the work done, but the labor rates at Advantage came out to +/- $34/hour higher than those rates. The warranty company understandably would not cover the difference as it is also much higher than what they consider a normal regional rate. The rate they cover is also within $1 of both the GM rate and my normal dealer's rate, so that seems reasonable to me. To their credit, Tom was able to lower his rate by $10/hour, but between that and the excessive disposal fee I still ended up spending $340 more than if I would have taken the car 30 minutes away. On top of that Tom suggested that I should call the warranty company and tell them I was disgusted by them not covering the higher rate in order to try to get them to pay more. We just moved to the La Grange area and I was hoping to find some place more convenient for car repairs, but I will absolutely never be coming back to Advantage for service or when I am looking to buy my next car.

I went to Advantage looking for a new car that was a little more cost effective then what I was driving. I had spoken to Chris over the phone and we had decided to take a look at the Sonic. When I arrived I was greeted with a large smile and a warm welcome. Chris went out of his way and had multiple options already pulled up front for me. I had a fantastic time working with Chris and him showing me all the ins and outs of the vehicle I was looking at. We decided on things that I actually NEEDED for my car and there was no forced sales or anything that would generally turn me away from a dealer. We were able to find a perfect car for my needs at a fantastic price. Everyone that I worked with, from the sales team, to the service department was professional and friendly. I will be going to Advantage for my next car, and recommending them to all my friends as well.

Buying a car is always a major ordeal, but due to other things going on, I was overly anxious and a bit of a high maintenance customer. Pablo was patient and came up with options to help meet my needs and we agreed on a used car price fairly quickly. This was my first used car purchase, but after checking other dealers, I was sure I was getting a good deal. Dennis was also patient in my panic over the interest rate and monthly costs and come up with a way to get my payment to where I needed it on my terms and was very pleasant, assuring me that I was not as much of a pain as I felt like I was being. When it's time to upgrade, I will definitely be back!!

I went to Advantage to buy my first car and it was a the best choice I could have made. The staff there was amazing to work with and really made the process of buying a car low stress and quick. Shawn Bell was a pleasure to work with, he was very helpful throughout the whole process and went the extra mile to ensure I was taken care of.

I will be going back to Advantage in the future for sure.

Came into Advantage on October the 14th and meet with Juan. He was by far the best sells person that I have ever delt with. He was not to pushy and really listend to my concerns and questions. I ended up getting a new 2017 Chevy Malibu and completely satisfied with my purchase. I will be recommending my friends and family to Advantage but making sure they ask for Juan. Hello All,

So I wrote a review a while back talking about the horrible experience I had here at Advantage Chevrolet however I think it s only fair I also shine a light on a wonderful turn around by the team here.

My old review is literally below this one if keep scrolling but that s only if you want to compare where I was with this location as opposed to where I am now. My car was done for and I needed a new one and although I said I would never return, it s close to home so I just went in to Look .

This is where I met Emanuel one of the sales people who I was sure was out to get me. But that couldn t be further from reality. Emanuel took fantastic care of me start to finish and I ll honestly go back for my wife s next car. Thank you Emanuel.

Now I know what you re all probably thinking, of course they treated you well, it s because they were selling you something, right? Wrong! Because after that I had recently had service visit and let me tell the service was fantastic again! Thanks Carolina.

I normally don t post negative experiences online, I simply move on and never return. However with that said this was so terrible that I owe it to others to inform them of this sham of a place. Let s start at the beginning. I initially took my car in for service on a check engine light I made the appointment for 10am when I arrived I waited five hours before anyone really helped me. They ran their diagnostic and another hour and half later I was told that they found the problem. I told them to go ahead with the repair and asked how long it would take, I was told an hour. I returned an hour later which at this time is 6pm and to my surprise they said they are waiting on the paperwork, just sit tight. At 6:45 I finally get to speak to someone and pay over $600 for my repair I asked for a print out of any other repairs I would need for some minor leaks and things and the service rep stated he couldn t give it me, when I asked why his response was The print out is for technical people, I m gonna give you the DUMB DOWN version. Basically called me stupid. He then proceeded to write everything thing down on a sheet of paper in black marker like a 6 year. I left at 7 when they closed. Two days later the light is back on! I took a survey because Chevy cares and then received an email informing me to call in so they can make it right. Sounded promising, or so I thought. I called in and was told they would make it right and to come in, they also stated as a curtesy they would wash the interior and exterior of the car. Despite my reservation I did it. I get a call and now they said we read the codes THIS TIME and it wasn t anything we initially said. It s your catalytic converter. Which was NOT on my diagnostic by the way, it ll be $1,100 now to fix. But what about my $650? Gone. Nothing they could do. We ll still clean the car like we promised they said. I go to pick up my car and guess what? My car is not cleaned! I went back and showed them and the response I got was Huh... I told the porter to do it. I guess I ve got to go yell at them now. He then shook my hand and sent me on my way. Way to make it right guys, bravo. I called the GM and will more than likely not get a call since I ve asked for him several times, Hi Robert if you reading this I d like to say one last thing to you and to Chevy. I ve been a life long Chevrolet person I have one, my mom has one, my dad has one, my brother has one, and my wife who s in the market for a new car was going to get one. We re car shopping now. I let my family, friends, and coworkers know the nightmare that transpired and we are no longer purchasing Chevrolet because of your establishment and horrid customer service. Keep in mind I never write these and the fact that I am compelled to spread the word is a testament to my experience. My advice to everyone reading these reviews is to stay away far away. P.S. I wasn t the only one going through this the first day I was there. I ignored the person warning me... wish I d have listened random stranger because you were right.

I brought my 2007 Malibu in for service because of a power steering problem only to find out that I'd been driving a lemon that I'd bought 2 years prior from a dealership on Harlem. I bought a 2015 Chevy Equinox on December 23, 2018. I took it home and later decided that I wanted a smaller vehicle. December 26, I went to return the vehicle. My salesman, Shawn treated me as though he didn't know me which is very poorly and unprofessional. He provided no assistance to me at all. He told me he would have to talk to the General Manager.He showed me his cell phone saying that his manager was off that day. I left the car there. The manager called me the next day. The manager told me the only way to take the car back, would be as a trade in. This is very unfair because I just purchased this vehicle and drove only 5 miles. The manager also told me that he is under no legal obligations to accept this vehicle back. So I lost my down payment of $4000. I had to go to a different Chevrolet dealership to purchase the vehicle I want. This could have been taken care of at Advantage with no lost of money.
I feel as though I was taken advantage of. I went to Car max and was told that customers purchase vehicles and return all the time if they feel as though it is not a good fit for them. I also saw an ad an tv where after 7 days you can return your vehicle if not a good fit. So I ended up getting a smaller vehicle which was the Chevy trax. BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU ESPECIALLY AFTER YOU MAKE A PURCHASE.!!!!

I purchased a car here in march and we got a decent deal. Our truck was certified meaning it needs to be like new and completely inspected. Hours after leaving with our new truck we noticed there was a giant chip in the middle of the windshield. I left messages and made our salesman(Ernie) aware. He denied it but ultimately caught him in a lie because he knew it was there the whole time. Nobody wanted to take care of this but i left it alone. Last week we took the truck to get an oil change and they didn t screw on the cap and the oil completely spilled out within 2 hours of the service, leaving my husband stranded. Advantage Chevy sent for a tow truck to pick up the truck and re-did the oil change. Thats the least they could do. The icing on the cake was Ernie tried to get my husband to trade in a truck for a new (and more expensive) truck and complete the paperwork while I am the owner of the vehicle. He said well you guys are married anyway, you can finish the paperwork on her behalf . These guys are lucky I didn t sue.

I came in at 1:30 for an oil change and came out at 3:30pm. From the three times i been here it really was a bad service. My advisor didn't even check in on us while other advisors were checking in on there people. I didn't even get my free car wash very bad service so unhappy
