A little summary of my visit to this location is: well first of all, this is not the first location I visited so I was a bit skeptical on how the service was here. Let me just say that the 2 gentlemen I dealt with were beyond amazing. they noticed and greeted me me as soon I walked, they heard me about everything I was looking for in a vehicle, they let me test drive and over all gave me amazing customer service. I feel like they were really hearing me out on my needs and they helped me pick a car that I absolutely love! thank you guys so much on helping me find my 2016 CRUZE!
This particular visit was for a battery failure under warranty and an oil change. My service rep Caroline was professional and did not pressure me for unneeded work. Her customer service skills were excellent and was very easy to work with. I was even more impressed with the new service where the mechanic sends a video of the work completed and discussing what is being recommended and why by showing it as it sits on the vehicle. This was very impressive and the service technician Kevin did a great job. Also receiving the recommendations electronically with the price and the ability to accept or deny is definitely something I enjoy. I received the information in a matter of fact way and was able to choose/deny without any sales pressure. Definitely the best experience I have had here.
It was great being able to drop off the car when I could and then the work was completed fast.
My sales person, DaShawn, was very helpful. Bought a CPO 2014 Equinox which after 5 miles from leaving the dealership had a TPMS go out. Came in after the weekend and the 2 ladies at the front desk told me only my sales person could help me and he wasn't expected for 2 more hours. I asked to speak to my financial advisor and they said he was in a meeting. 40 minutes later I saw him and talked to him about everything. He informed me they could've interrupted the meeting.
My financial advisor, Mark, helped me promptly get the service help I needed from John and they made sure it was covered. Honestly if it wasn't for Mark I would've stormed out and had a terrible review. I live an hour away from this dealership and work a lot. It's not easy to get out here. Thank you Mark!
I purchased a 18 impala on 07/06/2018. The sales person Shawn claimed the owners manual was in the glove compartment. It was not, I went back the next day to the financial department to see Fabian about the completing the deposit great guy and very helpful, I saw Shawn again and asked him about the owners manual and issue in the trunk. He s response was, You can go online for that and I ll set you up for a appointment for the service department. Basically telling me don t call us we ll call you. 2 weeks later, no follow up. Very unprofessional and arrogant on customer service on his part. When I purchased my last vehicle from Phillips Chevy in Frankfort the sales person mailed me the actual owners manual that they forgot. I should ve just went back to Phillips from the beginning.

We came from Indiana to visit this dealership because of the internet prices, so we already knew what we wanted to test drive. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Cyril Oghomeh, a super-friendly and energetic salesperson who worked with us till the end to get our payment to where we felt comfortable. The financing process was very quick, easy and stress-free. Both Mark and Dennis were very thorough and informative and made sure we were comfortable and satisfied with everything before we left. Chris was great in getting us out the door with all our questions answered about the vehicle and even put gas in it to get us back to Indiana! We also had the experience of working with the service department as they applied a rust protector to the car. The service writer, AJ was very friendly and nice to talk to! Our Nissan Rogue looks and runs fantastic! We love it. I would highly recommend visiting Advantage Chevrolet as they beat all the prices to comparable vehicles in Northwest Indiana!

First time car buyer decided to give this place a try. Salesman was very courteous and place was very clean inside and out. However I am not happy with the purchase of my 2019 vehicle. When u wake up to drive your new car, you should be happy about it. 2 service lights came on 3 days after purchasing a 2019 car! Prices were jacked up and the finance company I wanted to go with which was capital one, was pushed to the side and a finance company that had higher prices and was associated with the dealership was used. I m soooo mad, but I m the one who let them trick me into buying a 2019 car that needs work.

I've been a chevy person all my life, but after dealing with Advantage chevrolet I switched to Ford. They're top sales person sold me then never talked with me again to follow up on my happiness or to let me know my extra key was ready for pickup until I went to check 10 days later. Then unfortunately I crashed my Equinox and found out about not having Gap insurance which covers payoff of vehicle loan. It is normally offered at time of sale just in case of total loss due to a accident. This unfortunate non offer cost me 6000 dollars. . It only cost about 4 dollars a month extra. This Gap insurance is something that is usually offered by finance to protect the consumer. Very disappointed in this dealership as now I am upside down on my new vehicle due to lack of care from this top salesman. They're service to care for issues that were supposed to be taken care of at time of sale was very sloppy as well. I could not reccomend this dealer to anyone. Very sad to have a hometown dealer care so little after the sale. It took me to have to complain couple times to get some satisfaction from managment to get basic satisfaction.
Bought a car from here on July 17th. My first vehicle I've ever purchased. It was great at first you know, new car, low payments for someone as new to driving as me but that wasn't it.
Had the car for about three weeks then out of the blue, while in the middle of the road my car shuts off and fails to turn back on. I get the car back home and get it jumpstarted with my fathers help and find out that every single light on the car 'taillight, headlight, dayrunners, etc.' are blown out. On top of that it's clear my battery is dying because starting the car really takes some effort, if not, another jump. I replace the lights and worry about the battery next.
I took the battery to get tested and found out there was a bad cell located in the battery.
I called Advantage because Pablo told me my bumper to bumper warranty covers the battery. Due to the labor dispute I couldn't get it replaced until the 20th of September. Obviously my car wasn't going to last until then so I got a battery myself and called to get reimbursed for it. Was told okay and to bring in my receipt. Brought it in yesterday and was called today saying that my battery isn't covered under any warranty and that those are things that 'just go' over time.
Not a month after getting the car Mr. Salesman. I'm new to driving but I'm not dumb. You guys are good with the bait and switch but it's going to get you guys in trouble one day. Will never even think about shopping here again. I put more money into this vehicle in repairs than I did for monthly payments, makes no sense. No remorse.

My car needed an oil change plus there was an unusual sound I was hearing that was checked. everything turned out ok. Thanks.
Went in to get my bumper fixed. I was quoted by "James or Jim" $60 for the fix. But, when. I showed up was charged nearly double that price and "Jim" was not there. I had to wait nearly 15 minutes for a fix of the invoices with no other customers in sight.
It took a couple attempts for the fix to be completed. When it was completed about 20 minutes after the start of the process I commented to the guy who invoiced me about the customer statement behind the desk. Point #4 referred to work urgently for the customer. His comment to me was "yeah I wish they would get rid of that". I wonder how the GM feels about that thought process. Needless to say this was a one and done event for me.

The sales aide of purchasing my vehicle was fine, I was told they had 2 keys for my vehicle but couldn't find the other one. So I was charged over 100 dollars for another key, seeing that my vehicle is not a Chevrolet they had to order it. I've talked to my salesman a few times to set up when I could come in to get it programmed which was impossible to do because the programmer has a floating schedule. Seeing I live over an hour away I told the salesman to just mail it to me and I will just pay to get it programmed. It's been a few months since I requested the key to be mailed, I have no key and haven't heard from my salesman since. If you're owed something try and get it before you leave with the car, once You drive away it seems that they just care about the next customer.
Our overall experience was great! The dealership's special hours (open until midnight) really worked well for us this past Saturday. I had a Saturday work event and the extended hours allowed time for me to get home and relax before coming out to make a deal. Krystal notified me of the hours and Tony ultimately worked with us to seal the deal.

We traveled 4 hours to buy a car here and the sales man was not very friendly to us. He did not want to work with us, even when I was paying cash for the car. After I bought the car I noticed they spelled my address wrong and I called to get it fixed so they could send me the title. I got transferred 5 different times because no one could help me and then I had to leave a message and no one got back to me. I just hope some how the title will get to me. Not impressed.
As a consumer I hate the process of buying a car. Most dealerships take hours and always try to sell you something you don't want. Not with this dealership!!! I was very pleased from the moment I walked through the door. The atmosphere was very inviting and everyone I walked pass greeted me. I told the saleswoman Brandy Brooks exactly what I was looking for and she found it within my budget. 20 minutes later I was signing the paperwork to my new car. Once the process was done they had a very nice gentleman Chris come and explain all the features of my new vehicle. He was very knowledgeable about the car and what it has to offer. I have brought several cars from different dealership but none of them were quite like this. I enjoyed every aspect of this experience and I have already refereed 3 friends.
Service associates were honest about the repairs and I was very glad to hear they were covered by warranty. Shuttle to and from work made things very convenient, and they were able to repair everything the same day I dropped the car off.
I purchased my 2013 Chevrolet camaro here and was very happy at first. Until the Engine gave out on me and i couldn't understand the reason. Knowing my vehicle was still under "POWER-TRAIN" Warranty I towed the Camaro to Advantage Chevrolet on my expense. When service looked at my vehicle I was told due to oil sludge my vehicle would not be covered under warranty. And damage cost would be my responsibility. In my defense I always took great care for the Vehicle, and also Advantage has record of my oil changes up until I had to pay for them myself. Witch from then on I did the oil changes outside of the dealership because pricing was better. Never kept the receipts and in not doing so I'm in depth with the vehicle as GM did not honor my "POWER-TRAIN" WARRANTY! $10,555 to fix my So called GM Certified Chevrolet Camaro. And on top of it I had to Pay $426.90 for them to release the vehicle back to me so I can tow it home. My vehicle is Under Warranty and I have lost so much. I am very Hurt.
Brought in my '18 traverse for its first scheduled service appointment, which includes an oil change and tire rotation. I scheduled my appointment for 11am and did not leave the facility until 120pm. When I reviewed my service receipt, it stated service did not start until 11:51 am. I feel that I spent an excessive amount of time waiting for a service that can be done in under 30 minutes at any Jiffy Lube or similar service center.
Everyone was awesome and polite my salesman juan was very knowledgeable and knew just what car I was looking for . He got straight to the point worked hard and fast and after what seemed like 2 hours I drove off the lot in a brand new 2016 malibu .. which btw I fell in love with ..
And because of all that I refered my friend who also bought a brand new car a few days later .. thanks advantage you really know how to treat your customers
Nice dealer to buy a car but mechanics are sloppy not just one time it's been a few times my car's been left with hand grease marks and last time a scratch like some tools wer dragged against header panel,good to buy a car there but service dept needs cleaner mechanics
What appeared to be a good price was heavily padded with excess fees and markups. Please note, my salesman was very courteous and helpful, but appears his hands were tied from higher up. They would not budge off of the list price of the vehicle. Since they were fairly competitive I decided I could live with this. Then the shady practices came to light. Doc fee almost double what their own website advertises, which was already high. "Fees" in excess of $1700 on a used vehicle which included me paying for transportation for a car already on their lot (I did not order it), detailing, etc, etc. Some things missing from the vehicle as well. All in all, do not go there thinking you are only going to pay the advertised price. Given the shady markups on the price, I'm afraid of what finance would have offered me. All in all I would say 2 and a half stars but that wasn't an option.
Follow up - Tried contacting Krystal and was forwarded to voicemail. Left message. I was subsequently contacted by the general sales manager who said they would get back to me in about an hour. 6 hrs later no response. Price on the vehicle was lowered online without anybody reaching out. Seems unscrupulous or a severe lack of communication. Can't figure out what the dealer is up to, but doesn't look legit.

I usually don't like to leave bad reviews but I am very upset! I went in just for them to put ELEVEN inquiries on my credit when I told him NOT to run my credit at all!!!! I had a pre-approval from Capital one and now other people will look at my credit and see all of those inquiries! I have worked hard to get the score that I have. Not only did they put all of these inquiries on my credit, they have different prices on the internet instead of in the dealership and would not honor them. Also.. they couldn't even get me a car!! I'm highly upset. If I could leave a zero I would.
Update: So, I left my last review on every outlet possible, and they commented with their telephone number and when I called they didn't answer. That was to be expected so I went to Castle Chevrolet and they treated me like royalty. They were able to get me a car and they were not pushy. On top of that Castle offers free oil changes, car washes, and tires for life. Go there if you want phenomenal service.
Ran my credit without my permission, thirsty offering a deal that was asking way more than I'm paying for now. I get they have to make money but what they offered was ridiculous, I would have to be out of mind to take their deal

I recently went to Chevy Advantage to look at a vehicle. My husband and I were greeted right away by the Salesman Shawn Bell. He had a professional demeanor, nice shoes and very knowledgeable. I never buy a vehicle from a Salesman unless he has nice shoes and smile. We told him we were just looking and he was very patient with us. First we looked at an Impala, but it wasn't what I wanted. He asked me if I wanted to test drive it and I told him right away that I didn't like it. He was understanding. My husband then asked him about a Camaro. He drove us around to go and see the Camaro. I had a lot of questions for Shawn regarding this car and he answered all the questions quickly and professionally. I was sold. I left the dealership with a new car and happy.
i walked into this dealership with my dad looking to purchase a 2017 Tahoe. I saw a salesman, and I said I'm looking for a truck, and he told me he was busy, and to go look outside to check them out while handing me his business card. When I found a truck i liked, I called him from my cell and asked could he come outside. He said he was still busy, but he would send someone else out. My dad and I waited a half an hour , and no one came out. Finally, I saw a salesman walk by us, on his cell phone, and i said hey i need some help here. He preceded to say he was on break, but what was I looking for. I told him what I was looking for, and he said that we don't have any of the trucks I wanted. I said I just picked out three on the other side of the lot. He said sorry he did not know. That is when I realized it was time to leave, because this place has HORRIBLE customer service. Do not waste your time here. When this place was Continental Chevrolet , they had great customer service!!
Bought a car two months ago and the first week I had to take it in to get the windshield sprayers fixed. Now I just found out the other day when turning on my heat(so I thought) only the driver side vent blows hot and the rest are cold! Now they are saying you have to pay $145(have an extended warranty) plus I have to come out of pocket for a rental because I need transportation! Terrible! Nothing but inconvenience! Not to mention I'm still waiting on the sales manager to call me back...a rip off is all I got!
If I could rate this place lower, I would. Worked with an advisor who I asked to do 3 things. Oil change, 2 new tires, and a headlight replacement. Firstly, no issues with the tires or oil change, however, Edwin called me to quote the job ($650 was quoted) and the bill came to $1400. The headlights were marked up more than double the MSRP (from their own website), both headlights were replaced (not quoted on the follow up call nor was it asked for), and there was $200 in service charges as well. In speaking directly to the manufacturer or the bulb, it is NOT required to change both HID headlights for their product, nor is it even suggested, which was wrongfully supplied information to me by Edwin when I asked while questioning the bill. Additionally, I was questioned as to why I didn't just change the bulb myself if $ was a concern... I showed a large scar on my hand that negates me from having full functionality. Not that it was his business.
I then asked for then to swap the bulb back the next day (it was already closing time). I spoke to the advisor and his manager the next day, and come to find both argumentative and extremely disrespectful with me. I then speak to a "Len" later that evening who promised to call me back on Saturday. That was on December 20th. It is now January 14th, and after 4 attempts to reach him, I have not heard back once.
This place is a scam shop. Do yourself justice and go elsewhere. Off the shelf, the headlights were less than MSRP at any auto shop.
Excessively marked up items, poor communication skills, no ethics, etc. Stay away.
Our purchasing experience was excellent, thanks to Cyril, HOWEVER, we later found out that the warranty they sold us was a lower level than what our paperwork stated. We only found this out because we returned to the dealership to have repair work completed that was covered under the level of coverage stated on our warranty. Because we purchased a used vehicle the financing would not have gone through without an extended warranty. We are now seeking legal advice to rectify the situation.

Don't buy your car from this dealer! They are super helpful... until you write the check! Literally, still at the dealership and the salesman took the check and didn't come back. We were there for at least another hour, while we were "next in line" to finalize our paperwork. We had to find our salesman to ask where the car mats were, he said there aren't any. We complained to the manager, ultimately they gave the key to me and told me I can check the trunk. I did, it was a really cold wet snow / rainy day. They told us we would get free car washes at either this or Bolingbrook location. I drove to Bolingbrook, they don't do free car washes. Finally, less than 45 days from purchase, we were driving at night on the busy highway, during a rainstorm. The driver side wiper hyper extended and wrapped, stuck around the driver's side window. Really scary! We couldn't see. When I called the dealer, they notified me that the car has no warranty and was not certified (thought it was) so there is nothing they can do. The call was escalated and I told the story 5 times. Car problems within 45 days of purchase, but it is a mechanical issue so they cannot help???? Don't buy your car here.

AVOID THIS PLACE. BOUGHT A CAR LAST WEEK, HAD TO WAIT AN HOUR BEFORE PAPERWORK WAS STARTED. ONLY AFTER I TOLD THEM TO CANCEL DEAL WAS THE PAPERWORK PRODUCED. CAR I BOUGHT ONLY HAD 1 KEY. I WAS TOLD I HAD TO PAY FOR SECOND KEY.SCHEDULED AN APPT, DEALER CANCELLED 40 MINUTES BEFORE MY WIFE GOT THERE. RESCHEDULED FOR THE NEXT DAY, DEALER COULD NOT MAKE KEY WASTED 2 DAYS HERE. THIS DEALER DESERVES ZERO STARS.
Went in for an oil change which was covered under plan I purchased when I bought the vehicle. Had a lot of miscommunication whether it was covered under the plan or if came complementary with the car purchase. I talked with the manager to figure it all out since the plan wasn't explained very well when I purchased the vehicle. Then I asked how much it would cost to make another key (since the sales man didn't tell us the car only had one key until after we bought it). The manager offered to cover half the cost, and when the estimate came they said it would be $120 but then when it came time to finalize the order it went up to $230. They gave me the excuse that the key was actually more expensive, and the $230 was with them covering half the cost. I called another dealership and the $230 is the full price. Wouldn't reccommend this dealership. They try to make it seem like they are friendly and care a lot, but they say one thing and then they don't do it. (When I purchased the vehicle they were suppose to clean it but later when we got home noticed there was food and other dirtiness in the back seat. Before purchasing the vehicle I also asked for the car fax report twice which the sales man said he would bring, but then he just steered the conversation until I forgot about it, and never brought it too).

I bought my vehicle from them a year ago and had a wonderful experience . Each experience (inspection visit and 2 oil changes) has been lovely up until my last complimentary oil change. They didn t change my air filter (which they usually do). Then I just went up there yesterday to do the fuel savings package which includes : lube oil and filter change, tire rotation, replace air filter, repair front wiper blades, check tire tread wear and brake, and a free 27 point inspection. They told me there was an issue with my front brakes and tried to charge me OVER $400 for it. I declined and paid for the fuel savings package. The next day my tire pressure light comes on to tell me I have low pressure on my front driver side . So I immediately put air in it the second I saw that. I filled it up to the recommended PSI and the light won t go off! Which means they DIDNT reset my tire pressure monitoring system when they rotated my tires. I m infuriated and will not do business with them again. It was nice being with a dealership for a year but this is insane . People aren t doing their job and I m done with Advantage
UPDATE: the tire is completely flat now and my car was notifying me about the wrong tire. Note this did NOT happen until AFTER I took it to this dealership . Now I have to pay over $150 to get a new tire thanks Advantage ;(

When I think of Advantage Chevy.....one word comes to mind: CROOKS!!
My husband was in this dealership this past week, where he bought his Chevy HHR last year. At the time he purchased his HHR we were told (by our salesman: Mr. Steve Garcia) to come back in a year and we could refinance for lower monthly payments.
Well the year passed and my husband went into Advantage Chevrolet to do just that....LOWER PAYMENTS! He was told by Mr. Steve Garcia that "we don't refinance here" In return my husband was "talked" into higher payments with a Leased vehicle which he was told "that was the best DEAL for him".
I WOULD NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP NOR WOULD I REFER MY WORST ENEMY, ALL THESE GUYS CARE ABOUT IS COMMISSION.

The saleswoman was on the phone with other customer never asked for ID or proof of income Don't feel she made an effort to assist me
I want like to personally thank Dashawn Bell for helping my family find a great vehicle (Give that man a raise)! He truly provided a phenomenal experience. He did not sell me a car, he helped my family come up with a solution. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and a great guy. It is good to be good! Peace and blessings.
My experience is always pleasant when visiting the dealership. However, this last visit I was kind of upset I wasn t told prior to me coming in that there would be a 2-3 hour wait due to them checking out a recall on my vehicle. I believe that s something to mention prior to a customer coming so we can plan accordingly. I wasn t prepared to sit that long but I had no choice due to it being last minute and I had no ride to come pick me up.
Horrible!
Sold a vehicle with cracks in the windshield and tried told me I had to pay to have them repaired! Vehicles have no floor mats, and they don't keep their word!

Found a car online, it was the car I wanted at a good price! Picked a salesman online ( Shawn Bell ). Well that was a mistake. He was professional and more or less helpful at first. Then after we agreed on everything and I signed, he was gone, moved on to another customer. Didn't help with anything after that. He literally handed me a screw driver to put my new plates on and said later. They also tried to squeeze an extra $1300 out of me for the certified warranty which on their website says comes with the car. Got that dropped obviously. Then they also messed up the title transfer and sales tax. Car buying sucks and it seems worse here. But If you can get past all of that they seem to have good prices on cars.
Very good customer service, good comfort and practicality on the part of the work team; also its facilities very clean and with a very good presentation.
I just bought my Chevy Cruze 2017 brand new 3 months ago and the dashbord stop working where the miles showed and I didn t know that you have to make an appointment for everything even an oil change, well I went to the dealer a was there for three hours and nobody tell me anything I went to the desk and I ask for my car and they tell me we have to order the Pat to fix it but no one tell me anything in 3 hours so I was so upset I waist 3 hours for just tell me that even with an apoiment.
After they call me to tell me that the part was there and I work during the day and is going to take around 3 hours and I ask for a courtesy car so I can drop my car and pick up the next day and they say no we can t and the people that work on the service department are so unprofessional is the worst dealer I ever been aware don t go to this dealer they think is a favor what they do and is actually part of they work WORTS SERVICE EVER BE AWARE !!!!!!!!!!!
