I'm new to this auction and recently purchased my first vehicle, I have to say that I loved the experience, to be able to buy cars from my office is great, the car was exactly as described and the only issues with it were the ones listed. I used the transporting services, bought the car on a Friday and got it next Tuesday. My rep, Marirose Brucato, is great!! very helpful and always available, will definitely buy more vehicles from ACV.

Agree with many of the other reviews on here. It can be a decent enough spot to purchase vehicles, especially given the circumstances right now.
However, hopefully you never need to go through arbitration. They will do whatever is necessary to get their quote under the $500 mark, which includes using incorrect part numbers and used parts. There is no bend in them and you can never speak with the case manager who has been given your case. Michael T. has given me the wrong part # twice now and even if it was the correct part, he has used a used part as a quote too. My advice ... just buy with caution and absolutely stay away from anything that is European and has more expensive parts.

I got invited to the ACV with Dennis Migashkin(long time good friends).So far has a good experience with them in overall . Susan O Rourke is one the most reason I m still working with them . First they start we had problems with titles and transportation and etc. She always answers me and kindly helping us and follow up to the end . Also Wayne Watson the Territory manager is a great guy . He is so professional and nice guy.
With their Arbitration had good experiences,even the last one Erik Sharp helped me a lot except 1 bad experience with Tracy Tavakoli. She treated us so bad. Her attitude was really bad and was like we want to steal something from her .
Overall I m happy with them and suggest other people to work with them.

Paid out a lower number than guarantee for no reserve sale. Call ACV - no reply Given line about threshold amounts on arbitration after following ACV protocol. Contacted Arbitration again - no reply Still have multiple units that are over 20 days in the transportation system, and not delivered yet. Call ACV - ...I will give you one guess, yep, no reply Bit of a pattern here. I really do like ACV and want to edit this to a 5 star review. I wonder if this will get me a response? :::::::Updated: Received a reply from Social Media department and call from my inside sales rep stating they will help. I have edited my 1 star to 2 stars and hope we keep climbing. ::::Update: I edited up to 3 stars. Titles called and stated the above mentioned title will be to us in 24 hours. Received credits from sales side in regards to the no reserve sale. Cue The Jeffersons' theme song! Title arrives in the morning will get us to 4 stars and I feel 5 is coming soon...::::Update: Title in question arrived but still has a mileage discrepancy, which was the original delay prior to the next delay of a wrong name listed. We are filing with the BMV with a mileage affidavit, if it goes through, I will update to 4 stars.::::5 month old title made it through DMV. Editing to 4 stars as promised.

The concept would be great if they were truthful about what they are selling green light. The arbitration policy is horrible. They green light cars with bad engines, bad transmissions, frame rot etc. Every car we purchased under green light was a total money pit. Do yourself a favor and stick to traditional local auctions or dealerships. If you want to buy green light cars thinking you are safe and they will take care of you FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!

So either the sellers is bs or they are either way someone should be held accountable

I've done business with ACV now for a couple years. They are a top notch auction in my opinion. I deal with many local auction and buy hundreds of cars per year. I've had a few issues with cars I've purchased from ACV, but let me tell you they stand behind their units 100%. Anytime I have an issue it gets resolved quickly with minimal questions asked. ACV auctions provide very detailed inspections and photographs which allow me to confidently make online purchases. This is the only auction that I will use for online purchase, all the other auctions do not provide enough information for me to purchase the vehicles online.

Acv has been excellent to deal with. Went from purchasing 90% of my inventory at live lane auctions to purchasing 90% of my inventory through the Acv platform. I have had a few issues but they were all handled quickly and always to my satisfaction. My account rep Adam Siedlecki is always helpful and takes care of any issues I encounter. For anyone feeling skeptical on trying it out, do it! You will not regret it!

Acv is a joke. It should stand for Always Crappy Vehicles. Bought a manual Jeep. Green light. Had car sold to a customer looking for it, only reason I bought it. When it arrived transported told me, just so you know this car has no clutch... . Tried to arbitrate, told basically too bad. Had to put new clutch in and ate all profits. Doesn t even include the ant infestation inside that was inside car. Horrible.
The inspectors do not take the vehicles on test drives. It is impossible for them to disclose most differential or most transmission problems. They also miss other things like a noisy timing belt tensioner. Yet, they give the vehicle a green light.
If you go to arbitration realize that they figure repairs at the cheapest wholesale price they can find for parts and $85 an hour for labor. It is virtually impossible to find a shop that sells parts at cost and works for this labor rate. Therefore a job that may cost you $1000 to repair at a reliable repair shop will possibly only arbitrate to a $400 repair and thus will not be covered because ACV does not cover anything under $500.
I personally experienced this in that I had an estimate for $956.90 to repair a timing tensioner. ACV valued the job at $399.95 therefore not covered.
Green Light? Not always in reality.
In the last two months I've purchased over a dozen vehicles through ACV and I really don't have any major complaints at all. I love using the app. The only vehicle I bought that was not described well was from a live appraisal at Tony Domiano Chrysler in Archbald, PA. A live appraisal is when the selling dealer does the condition report instead of an ACV rep. Tony Domiano's dealership is a complete joke, a 5-year-old with Parkinson's could put together a better condition report than these idiots. If you ever see a live appraisal from a Chrysler dealer in Archbald, PA don't bother with it. Regardless, ACV handled it and made them take the vehicle back right away. If I could suggest an area for improvement I'd require higher standards for live appraisals. The other day I saw a live appraisal on a Wrangler. Under the sellers notes it said "Serviced, front line ready" but in one of the pictures I could see a giant rot hole in the outside rocker panel. Aside from the sketchy live appraisals which I no longer bother with anyway, everyone I've dealt with has always been pleasant and responsive and the ACV condition reports are always accurate and thorough. You guys have a great team and a great platform, I look forward to future purchases.

Everything goes good until you had to do an arbitration on big items that they miss and their condition report. They would turn Dow arbitration s on their own mistakes
Being a good company is not just selling cars but also owning up to their mistakes on arbitration and making sure that they deliver the vehicles quickly which they never do that, they give you seven days for any claims but they take 10 days to deliver the car
Great concept but ACV it s not executing it right
Would rather go and see the car in person before getting screwed out of my money and treated poorly when I reach out to find a solution.

Bought a vehicle on ACV that was only Green Lighted, NOT Blue Light. After a month (more then enough time) of waiting for the title I finally asked for the deal to be unwound so I could return it for a refund. I called three times and talked to three different people, including my account manager to no avail, every time I called, same scripted answer: "I don't see where you called and spoke to anyone..." Bidding dealers beware.
Every vehicle I ve gotten from ACV it s been something wrong with it that s not listed. Just recently I bought 2 green light only vehicles with both over $1000 in repairs needed. I attempted to arbitrate them both and they both were declined!!! I m officially done doing business with ACV, and I recommend any other dealer to stay away from them!!!!!!
I have bought several vehicles through ACV auctions. The idea is genius and it's great to not have to go to an auction in person and be away from the lot. I did have a problem with one of the vehicles and ACV did more than was required to help me. I can tell they truly care whether they have my business or not.
So I buy a 2014 Chevy Malibu whit engine noise and body damage as the notes and pictures say once I fix everything on the car wish a spent around 3 k they told me, that they cannot send me the title, but they can pay me what I pay for the car but not the repairs,
By the way on the notes they say the title has not problems

I have bought over 250 cars within last 6 months and have been very pleased with quality/deals on the cars offered. I have not gone to a single local auction ever since joining. Their condition reports have been on the money, very friendly customer service and the easy and understanding arbitration process (only 3 cars arbitrated out of 250). The auction has been a blessing for my business and I would recommend it to anyone. Keep in mind I drive purchased cars from all over home (250-500 miles away)
The Only thing I would love you guys to improve on would be better pricing on vehicle deliveries.
Was buying a lots of truck thru them untill found out that some inspections are not done properly and have to invest extra money that wasnt expected

Terrible and very poorly managed company. It was big fat lie as they cold provide a title for a car i purchase a car 3 months ago. Please do not do business with a these kind of company who cant make real business and lei to their customers and not honest. I purchase a lot of cars from them each car had problem and base on their false announcement I lost money because they are not honest. Even they are not register to business bureau to do legal compliance about all these issues.

This is a " Sellers market" Buyers have no coverage. So if your selling vehicles on ACV it must be great! As a Buyer you can buy a car in November and still have no title in Aug. The purchase was floored and interest was paid along with parts to make the car ready to sell. Found out much later no title and no answer! We asked to return the car and they said yes but would not do a thing about the money invested into this vehicle. They still allowed the selling dealer to do business on ACV and we actually ended up buying from the same dealer since seller is not disclosed at the time of auction. Same story again had to wait months for another title. No repercussions to selling dealer I'm assuming. As a buyer if we can't get transportation they will take sellers side and force ship for a ridiculous amount of money and when a buyer attempts to pick up at their availability by physically driving 15+ hours to pick up a vehicle if a seller doesn't want to cooperate, buyers are left out to pay transportation again. Also buyers don't get know if weekend pick ups are available until after purchase. We run a small dealer , we don't compare to these sellers but ACV only makes it convenient for them. ACV won't do a thing over this review , but. I hope another small business like us , who basically only bought from ACV for over a year won't do business with them.

Very bad platform for buyers. Sellers want far more than cars are worth and if they actually decide to sell you a vehicle, expect major hidden problems. Inspectors don't even drive the vehicles to inspect them and are forbidden to by acv. I can see why new car stores like selling on their platform, it's a win-win scenario for them. If the car is junk, they will sell; if it's a decent car, the price will be so high you can't make any profit on it. Stick to a real auction where YOU can inspect the vehicles and arbitration actually works.
I like ACV auctions concept the service is great and the staff is friendly, when I was getting everything up and going my account rep Alicia Went the extra mile to make sure I understood everything and was able to utilize all of its features, any time I have needed any assistance she has been right there to guide the way.

( Engine was knocking ) they told me I cannot arbitrate for engine knocking because it is same as the engine rattling it s a two different thing Rattile can be fixed knock cannot be fixed
Engine oil light was on because the oil pump was bad they said as part of the engine
(Abs) light was on an ABS was not working
They told me It is under $500 I don t know where they buy their parts to repair an ABS it s over 1000
It says on their inspection transmission is good
When I picked up the car the transmission is not shifting they told me I cannot arbitrated for transmission. Before I pick up the suv tree had fell on it, Broke the window smashed car Of course it s not their problem they said it s natural disaster
When I told arbitration team I want to speak to the manager, It s over four days the manager has not called me yet of course it s not gonna call me
These people are scam artist thieves

Dealers BEWARE*** I have been purchasing vehicles from ACV for about 2 months now. Within that time I have made about 15 purchases from ACV. After waiting for one of the vehicles to be transported for about 2 days, they told me it would be another 2 days. After those 2 days , I was then told it'd be another 2 days, and then another 2 days. After waiting for the vehicle to be transported for 10 days I was finally told that ACV had double sold the vehicle all while they were still in possession of my funds. The following vehicle I purchased, after waiting ANOTHER 10 days, I was told that dealer was not able to sell the vehicle as he was waiting on an insurance claim. On October 29th, I purchased another vehicle. I was given the run around yet again. ACV confirmed that the vehicle would be in my possession within the following day (October 30th). Between the 30th and today (11/15) i had made several calls in order to acquire the exact location of the vehicle I had purchased. After about 2 weeks time, I contacted my area manager to explain my disappointment. I was told that they understood my frustration and that I had every right to cancel this transaction as it was not brought to me within the time promised. I made it very clear that if i did not have the vehicle in my possession by the 14th I was not going to accept the vehicle at the time of delivery due to having a right to cancel the transaction. This afternoon (the 15th) the transporter arrives on my lot with the vehicle and explains that he must leave the vehicle as he was instructed by ACV to do so. I was contacted by a sales rep named Jeff and was told that I COULD NOT CANCEL. I was completely mislead and misinformed. The customer service and transportation team is extremely unaccommodating and impolite. Please be aware : they are misleading and and dishonest.

I love the platform and the continues improvements to the website(new advance filter is my favorite feature). I couldn't agree more with B. Michaels. They favor their sellers so much more of the buyers, especially with this no arbitration program they have. Sellers can sell their junk, we buy it, and then when we try and file arbitration, ACV, since they would have to pay for it, tell us to pound sand. Horrible business model, I will be surprised if they are still around in 5 years. I have been using other online buyer, and have had much better experience, more professional reps and support people.

They have always taken car of any problem I have had.
I have used ACV auction almost three months bought 22 cars from them. They were helpful for my first two arbitration case and the Arbitration department is an absolutely joke now "green light" is just a color for them. Now they take a week to handle arbitration's and even when inspectors miss huge oil leak, transmission issue, broken navigation screen, they hide behind the arbitration policy and say that they do not cover arbitration items below $500.
If you are planing to buy a car from ACV try to buy 2000 dollars cheaper so you can cover your problems.
Buyer beware! In my opinion ACV has developed a system to help the New Car Dealer/ seller get maximum dollars for trade vehicles that would otherwise sell for a lot less or not at all. They promote transparency and buying with confidence yet they fail to disclose all those under $500 repairs that CAN NOT be arbitrated. The buyer winds up stuck with cars they would not have purchased in the first place or would have bid a whole lot less.

Scam. Green lighted a car that ended up being garbage. Finally got a refund after they approved me to go ahead and fix it (witch I told them it was a waste of time) car was still not fixed. 2 months later finally refunded me on the vehicle without paying approved shop bills. Refused to pay for the bills they said they would and left the vehicle on our lot for close to 1 year. Wouldn t respond to phone calls other then rep is busy. Emails totally ignored. Then they made a fake auction and resold the car to me agian and tried to floor and send me to collections for it. Worst experience ever. Don t deal with them!!
Update on the arbitration - Yes, I was totally upset with the process of ACV's arbitration process. Luckily, the management team (Special thanks Tiffany!!!!, she has been great since I was working with her from day 1!!) began to dig a little deeper into the issues I was having with the purchase. With the help of them we were able to come up with a solution that took care of EVERYTHING!!! Yes, it took some time, but was able to work through these issues.
One thing I didn't take into consideration is that they are a new company, which means they will be going through some growing pains. As long as they will execute and do the "Right" thing(s)...I am completely satisfied with the process.
I am leaving the initial complaint so that all you can understand my point of view...it's ok be upset, but allow them to work with you and work through the process. They truly want to help and work with you!!!!

FYI...Everything was good until Arbitration. Becareful when it comes to arbitrations...they will not work with you nor will they send out a rep to investigate it. The sales team members is pleasant to work with though. I Purchased 20 vehicles in 2 weeks....I was told it was ok if I didn't buy anymore cars from ACV!!!
