Acv has been good to me and resolved an issue I had with a vehicle. I m happy to continue buying from here!

Whoever started ACV Auctions is a genius! There are photos to back up the condition reports(undercarriage photos for me are priceless since we specialize in rust free, 4x4 diesels). I feel that the whole buying process from you guys arranging the shipping to the way the listings are presented makes the buying process a breeze. Not to mention, I'm able to do all of this from my cell phone. I understand that no one or nothing is perfect. We have had a couple issues with the trucks that we've purchased, but Joshua Zielinski is prompt and made the whole arbitration process easy once issue with our truck was confirmed.

ACV is the worst experience I have encountered in my 20+ years in this business. The term GREEN LIGHT means nothing in their book. It s merely a means to get a car sold. I purchased a 2008 BMW X5 green light. When I went to pick up the car (Uber $144)LO AND BEHOLD...the car does not drive over 15mph as it was in limp mode and the color of the car was not as advertised. The screen had a message to see the nearest Bmw dealer. I opened an arbitration case on the spot. To my surprise I was told by ACV to drive the vehicle back home. I had to explain the car was not exceeding 15mph and sent her an email video confirmation of the car while pushing the gas pedal all the way down. I told arbitration I would be Leaving the car at the sellers lot and went back home (Uber another $144). After quite a bit of back and forth emails and phone calls with the arbitration department, I received promises the situation would be remedied. Two weeks later, ACV told me that the seller took care of the issue and the car was tested twice. Citing the reason for the issue was low gas( LOL)and that they ll deliver the car to me. After another 2 weeks of waiting, I received the vehicle. After only one test drive the car went back in limp mode. I reached out yet again to Acv requesting the car be returned and the money refunded to no avail. Buyer beware, no remedy was provided and I have yet to hear back from arbitration. I now have a broken down car on my lot.

I've been buying from ACV for 3 years now. At first they were excellent, the cars were described well and nothing was left out, any issues I had were quickly resolved but for the past year its been a nightmare. More and more vehicle that I purchased had major issues that weren't described or mentioned during the auction. The Arbitration department is the worst in the industry. The auction runs every vehicle as a Green light vehicle when they really aren't, they have become like the rest of the other deceiving auction out there. The worst part is after trying to resolve my latest issue with the district manager Steve Timberlake he told me and I quote " if you don't like our policy you should take your business elsewhere" No customer should ever be spoken to in that way. After buying about 100 vehicles this year from them I'm done doing business with them. I do believe ACV started out with the right motto "Transparency" but they have lost sight of that with their rapid growth over the past few years. I hope to see them go back to their modo which I believe was one of the main reasons for their rapid growth but if they continue to treat customers in this manner they are no different from the rest

Joe has been great to work with. I typically purchase a couple cars a week from ACV. The communication is excellent and ACV is very responsive with questions concerns that I have.

Since the first time that i Met my VCI Jose Ochoa, He has had the patience of a saint. We had our reservations on starting something new and different. IT took a lot of visits to finally get us to use ACV Auctions. He has been professional and kind every single time he visits. He is never pushy, and is always looking out for our best interest. He is Very persistent in a professional way. I have enjoyed working with Jose and ACV auctions.

Some of what ACV offers you do not get with Adesa or Manheim. Seems like they represent buyers as much or more than their sellers. I've been very happy with ACV and will continue to use them in the future as I need inventory.

bought 5 cars and i easily can say the worst inspection you can possibly have , arbitration is a joke that's if they transport it for you on time to begin with.

Whatever you say about the arbitration the answer is it s not in out policy!!! For some reason this auction is no longer good as it was, they try to scam you with the arabisation no matter what. If you want to buy from them it doesn t matter as is or green light you will get nothing back.

Great company. Great way for dealers to purchase inventory. Max Kaplan works hard for me and is super quick to assist in anyway he can. Give ACV a shot, you wont be sorry you did. Ask for Max to be your rep if possible, great customer service. Max is a great asset and is a pleasure to work with.

Before ACV, we were out in rain, snow, cold weather to evaluate inventory for our lot. ACV gives us the opportunity to better manage our time, and concentrate on our customers and service. Nothing is perfect, and there are sometimes issues with transport or representation. However, anytime there is a possible issue, our sales rep Sean is always there to handle things and make it easy for us. Highly recommend ACV!

I have been using ACV for almost a year now and it has become our number one source for inventory. The inspections are excellent and most importantly accurate. When there is an issue they address it and they do so extremely fairly. We have tried using similar platforms to purchase inventory and none of them even come close. My only complaint is I wish I would have found them sooner.

I have been buying from ACV since the pandemic started and it has been a life saver. Phil Stasiak was my representative initially. He was absolutely amazing, he would make sure the dealership was tended to in every sense. If I needed help with a car or a title, he was there. Then once he was swapped out with another rep, I didn't buy as much until he was reassigned to my dealership. Sometimes it is not the company or business you are getting service from, it is the representatives that are hired by that business. So kudos to ACV for giving me back Phil. He is the real deal. Just don't take him away and make sure new hires learn from him.

I want to thank ACV especially Nichloas Ryan and Louisa from sales dept. for FANTASTIC service if I could give you 6 stars I would honslety this is the only auction we buy from now!!!

Great selection of vehicles , very fast delivery, descriptions of vehicles and condition are spot on , there customer service and arbitration are second to none !! Things don t always go as exspected in the car business , and they go up and above to help the customer

This is the first negative review I have left before in my life. However, it's the most absurd situation I have ever seen. Somehow a car was bid on for 150 dollars on our account. We didnt bid on it. ACV started threatening late fees and all kinda of nasty things. I told them that I would be glad to give them 150 dollars if they put it in writing that the account would be closed and they would never contact me again. They told me no, that I cant cancel my account? I honestly dont know what to do? I have to talk to my attorney about some other things in a week or two? Do I have to file a lawsuit to get this account closed? It's the most absolute terrible platform that exists....

I am a buyer for Michael Ray Auto Group and would strongly recommend ACV i buy anywhere from 10-15 cars a month on ACV and have had great success. I have had to arbitrate 1 vehicle out of the many i have purchased and they handled it quickly and reimbursed me for the repairs per their guidelines. Max Kaplan handles all of my purchases when it comes to negotiating and closing the vehicle purchases. Great job guys keep it up.

Had a problem with arbitration initially, but voiced my concern and everyone at ACV was eager to solve it, or get to the person who could. I'm very satisfied with my purchases so far. I think the platform is easy to use and will just continue to improve.

Becareful buying thru them. Ok service but sometimes they get you with arbitration. I m a long time customer with multiple dealerships and they still screwed me on a frame damage car that was unannounced. Vehicle was also delivered to the wrong lot apparently it s my fault. Very disappointed.

I worked with Patrick Haley recently on an arbitration and I ve heard it can be a nightmare for some people.. I personally haven t had that experience but I want to especially shout out Patrick he was so sweet and pleasant on the phone I think he genuinely enjoys his job. He was very respectful and attentive and would get back to me within minutes.. I never do surveys or reviews so I just wanted him to get the recognition he deserves.. thank you Patrick!! Their arbitration is a joke. Their salesman preach about how they stand behind their inspectors. Not so much buying with confidence. Had to spend an extra 800 dollars for a make ready due to their poor inspection. . Already paid more than the car was worth because of their Guarantee Done with this site and auction format..

Had an absolutely terrible experience for our first purchase. We purchased a car for over $14,000 - Green Light and paid for ACV's transport. I won the bid on the 19th, and didn't receive the car until the 28th. The arbitration period is only 5 days so I would have been SOL. I voiced my concern to our rep from ACV, she said I could extend the arbitration window once I received the car. Once the car was delivered, we called ACV and told them to take it back. The guy we spoke with told us we are out of the arbitration period and that we are stuck with the car. The only way we would be able to cancel the deal is to forfeit our account with ACV, which we gladly agreed to.
In addition: You don't even get a run list. You only get alerts right when they car goes live. And for that, you have to have their site open all the time. Instead, they give you a list of vehicles that already ran. And on top of it all, each vehicle runs for 20 min. That's barely enough time to read the condition report, check Carfax/Auto Check, check NADA, and check competitors pricing for comparable vehicles.
My advice is to stay away. They're nice until they take your money. Don't waste a single minute or penny on this auction.

Buy from here all the time.. good selection of cars at good price. Staff is helpful. Had some problems with some cars before but it was handled professionally and with ease. They take away the headaches of in person auctions. Will continue to do business with them.

Out of all of the online auction platforms ACV is the shadiest auction out there. They want dealers to pay for the vehicle out-front so they can flout your money to pay for it before they even produce title, they don't let you know who the dealer is you are buying it from.... seems very shady. If they go out of business they already have your money without even producing title. Every other auction will not cash you check or take your money until they have title in hand and let you know who and where you are buying it from. Also when you are bidding they do not show who you are bidding against which allows the owner of the vehicle or someone connected to the vehicle to run up the bid with false bids to run the bid up. Otherwise why wouldn't they let you know who you are bidding against. This is not a good way to do business and is dangerous for a dealer to do business with because they have already taken your money and do not have a title in hand to protect the dealer. Most of their vehicles are problem vehicles with paint work. Dealers be very careful dealing with this online platform.

I found about ACV from a friend who is also a used car dealer like myself. BE VERY CAUTIOUS cars that are inspected by ACV "EXPERTS" are HUGE headache. Cars sell green light comes with HUGE oil leaks transmission problems. I bought 30 cars so far AND 6 CARS CAME with TRANSMISSION problems. ACV needs to drive these cars and be accurate but GERMAN cars that has HUGE oil leaks clearly states NO OIL leak during the auction and when you receive the car you notice cars have problems. Dealing with arbitration is NONSENSE. They are too busy blaming everything to the buyers and they give you run around all day long. ACV has a great platform for used car dealers to buy without going to the actual auctions but they really need to improve describing car condition and hire REAL experts to check the cars from bumper to bumper. ALL the negative feedbacks are true I read some of them and they are all real reviews.

Dealers Beware!!

recently i purchased a vehicle from ACV auctions. This was a green light car, most of the cars i purchase are not green light, (which means its guaranteed to drive) but this one was. so i drove 70 miles to pick it up and drive it home. this car did not shift into second gear it was unable to be driven home and needed a transmision. i called my rep man and he said that it was acceptable to return, but two days later they said the transmission "shifts slow" and they cannot refund or help in any way.

so long story short ive been scammed by them, as they dont honor their "green light" or word. and now i have a car that will lose money.

i know they have issues with the titles taking weeks to arrive and theyre also being sued for fraud with shill bidding. but the green light warranty being useless is what does it for me. thats the last straw. Be prepared to get burned by ACV in one way or another if you choose to use them.

DO NOT USE!! You are sure to be shafted on 50% of your purchases. The condition reports are a joke! Anything under $500 is usually over looked or misrepresented. Almost all of the vehicles i have purchased have had misrepresentation of some sorts. Manheim CR's are much better, dont be fooled. ADESA's reports are also clearer. I have taken a couple cars directly from the pickup location to a Manheim location and had CR's done and almost everytime it will show much more damage, paint, dings etc. Do Not Trust the ACV Condition reports... You will be lucky to break even, unless you are killing it with high profits on your retail sales.

We have bought over 80 cars since last august and have been very pleased with quality of cars offered. The condition reports have been very accurate, the customer service friendly and thorough and the arbitration process fair and the fee's reasonable. The auction has been a blessing and I would recommend it to anyone.

Been with ACV company from its beginning. They were referred to me by Turnesville Automall who was a large seller. While they where growing seems like they took a good care of business. Later on they became more bout making money by any means. Had multiple issues with purchased vehicles . Poor arbitration policy. Buyer beware if you get a Green light car that after happens to be a Lemon, they just simply blacklist your account Without an option to reinstate it. More over they did a very funny business by Involving us into a sale of a car we did not commit. Weeks after, admitted they did wrong and instead of working out a way to continue business, simply blocked out account for no reason....

ACV auctions is the best way to buy and sell used cars without going to a auction. The folks that work there are great and very helpful. They are fair and easy to work with!

We buy a lot of vehicles through online auctions. Especially since COVID hit. We started by using all of them, now we are primarily using ACV and one other one every now and again. That is a true testament to how they conduct themselves. High integrity employees and thorough inspections. Of the last 50 we bought from ACV we arbitrated 2! Only 2! Backlot cars we arbitrated 75% and they fixed nothing! In an industry full of dishonesty we are glad to see that there are some companies that do business the right way, the honest way. Helena McCutcheon is our rep and she takes care of everything we could need. Always answers and will go to bat for us on an auction or an arb. Their inspectors missed something on an auction we we received a check >$1000 to fix it within a week. I can't say enough good things about ACV. Great people and an awesome company.

Edit: Maybe its the pandemic, but the customer service has seriously declined. Title problems left and right. Vehicles having problems that were said to not have in the description. Arbitration does not return calls. The owner at our store was supposed to have a LARGE issue resolved with ACV's founder but now he won't return any calls. We bought 90% of our inventory through ACV, now we have to find another auction.

We had a problem with a 2017 Chevy 1500 that we purchased and the transmission was bad , Jason Emmick handled the issue right away and sent us a check for the needed repair without any hassle . Thank you Jason and ACV for standing behind your cars!!!

How could you possibly sell a car with a transmission that noticeably slips shifting into 2nd gear and kicks you like professional soccer player shifting into third ? Well ACV knows the answer and it's called "GREEN LIGHT".

GREAT COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. I'LL RECOMMEND THEM ADD THE AUCTION FEE ON THE INVOICE AND THE TRANSPORTATION IF APPLICABLE. So that when I am doing my accounting, I don't have to look somewhere else for the cost like auction fee or transportation fee charged

I buy a lot from these guys. They re very fair. Title department is great, my salesman is great, and anytime I had something to arbitrate they worked with me to get my problem solved!! Very well trained workforce and very reputable company!!

Terrible! Do yourself a favor and find another company to do business with. Complete lack of response once they have your money. Difficult to argue any arbitration issues end it takes forever to get titles. Forget it if there s a paperwork issue! I think this is a good deal if you are selling but not if you are buying. You can make money if you re selling but you will lose money when you buy!

Thanks again ACV for treating us like a jerk when you failed to tell us any details about a car you shipped to a wrong place. Not only have we wasted two trips and 15 hours driving to get a car you kept misplacing, but when we called you to straighten it out, we hard form no one for hours. Thank you for making our business suffer because you have incompetent people working deals they can not complete. The last two months have been nothing but mistakes on your end, and we are the one who gets stuck with the attitude from Kim (who is extremely nasty, rude and refuses to do admit when she s wrong) and takes the loss.

If you are Transporter don t go with those guys , booked few times cars with them and they are or not ready or canceled after I drive hours on time to the destination, you ll get sweet Sorry in return and problem fixed

I have been using this auction for approximately 3 years. The auction started off as a decent auction but the vehicles have now progressively gotten worse, the prices are through the roof, every vehicle we are buying - doesn't matter if its 10 years old or 4 years we are putting over $500 into it. It seems like if it does not make it to the regular auction they will sell the junk on here. We use to buy almost everything on ACV now we are going back to the auctions to get inventory.

I ve had come value this auction so, so much. They are so transparent and try very hard to be fair. I love being able to buy cars from my home with virtually 100% knowledge of their condition.

And forced us to accept $1500
No way we could sell it retail we explained to them
They offered us buy credits which are completely useless because we will never do business
with this company again
We also got stuck with another vehicle a
15 Dodge Challenger r/t that had undisclosed
structural damage a front rail was repaired
We found that out after trying to sell it at a real
auction in Manheim Pennsylvania
Now we are stuck looking at over $5000 in losses due to undisclosed damage
If you do decide to buy off this platform i suggest to seriously go through every car with a fine tooth comb
as soon as you recieve it there is a ten day period
to claim structural damage after that they screw you
I reached out several times about this issue
without any resolution
Turnover rate was also poor only able to sell 2/10
And they required much more reconditioning
than we are accustomed to
Would not recommend at all be very careful

Out of all the auction companies out there ACV is by far the best! They have reasonable fees, great communication, and prompt service. I would like to say a special thank you to Mike Albini at the corporate office. Although he is 1500 miles away it feels like he is right here doing business with me. Great communication through texts and phone calls, he does what he says he is going to do, and most of all he fights for what is fair for both the seller and buyer so everyone comes out feeling good. Thank again for the great experience, keep up the good work!

Recently bought a vehicle with a high ticket arbitration issue. Tracy T. was my arbitration rep. She was very understanding of the issue, walked me through the process and sent a check to fix the problem. Extremely fast process to come to a solution. Cannot get any better than that!

ACV has been the most accommodating auction that I have ever worked with. I love having our own account manager to put together deals that are close to sale after the auction. As someone who was unable to get out of the office to attend auctions anymore due to having to run the day to day obligations in the office. I'm so excited to be able to buy again and feel more confident in my purchases with the detailed condition reports.

I purchase a good amount of cars through ACV and if I ever have any issues they try their best to resolve it quickly and also fair to the dealer.

Brendt was absolutely amazing. Being new to the dealership business, he explained everything above and beyond and never did I question his ability to answer my questions with 100% the truth. You've earned a loyal customer though Brendt.

I have been using them for almost two years and it seems they have grown faster than they can put systems and people in place to handle the volume. You will wait weeks to months on titles now and never can get in touch with someone that can do anything. Every employee tells you they will email someone else and will get back with you. Never get any call backs or updates.

All the positive feedbacks are from insiders, arbitration is a JOKE. Stay away from these people they are in favor of the sellers.

I purchased a truck and it was delivered at closing time July 2nd, my shop did not get a chance to inspect until July 5th because we were closed on July 4th. They discovered the transmission was missing 3rd and 4th gear, which was not disclosed on the inspection report. I reported the issue the morning of July 5th and received a note via email 3 days later stating the inspection period was 2 calendar days. I have not been able to get any additional responses from my rep or arbitration. I have been with ACV for two months and purchased 6 vehicles. The others were exactly as described but unfortunately I feel the selling dealer knew of the issue and the inspector missed an easy one. I will not be buying any units until I get a satisfactory response from ACV.

I have been using ACV for about 6 months and have been very happy with the service. They also offer transportation options within the app and have been very pleased with how fast the cars arrive at my lot.

Finally good on line, easy to navigate, auction that describes cars as they really are. If you have any issues reach out to Lenny, one of the field GMs and he will for sure help you.

HORRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS AUCTION. BOUGHT A TRUCK GREEN LIGHT LAST WEEK FROM THESE JOKERS. THE TRANSPORTER WENT FOR PICK UP THE TRUCK WOULD NOT START BECAUSE OF A BAD FLYWHEEL AND STATER WAS NOT MENTIONED IN THE CONDITION REPORT. WHEN THE TRUCK GOT TO MY LOCATION I FOUND WAY MORE ISSUES THAT WAS NOT IN THE CONDITION REPORT. FLYWHEEL, STARTER, AC NOT WORKING BAD COMPRESSOR, BALL JOINT SQUEAKING JUST BY MOVING THE STEERING WHEEL, STRONG DOG ODOR THAT WOULD NOT GO AWAY.ETC. ARBITRATION DECLINED MY CLAIM BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE FIX IS LESS THAN $500. BASICALLY I HAVE TO SPEND OVER $1000 TO GET THE TRUCK RUNNING BECAUSE OF THEIR POOR POOR CONDITION REPORT. JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THE PEOPLE DOING THE CONDITION REPORT ARE MISSING THESE OBVIOUS PROBLEMS BECAUSE OF LACK OF TRAINING OR ACV TRAINING THEM TO IGNORE THESE ISSUES TO RUN THE BIDS HIGH? IM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS AUCTION.

Arbitration department is a joke!! The got me $4500.00 repair on a green light car. They were no help. Stick to local auctions.

I've been waiting for a call since 4:30pm. I sent an email that she opened but never responded to. I called HQ and spoke with Kim in Human Resources. She sent an email as well but I still haven't heard back. Please try to be more professional in the future by sending a quick text or email. My time is valuable! I'll be sharing this experience via Facebook and LinkedIn. It's 5:20pm and still no response but she keeps reading the emails according to my email tracker. The Recruiter finally called back apologizing and saying she never missed a call in her career. Well I was supposed to speak with another person the following week and they never ever reached out again. Don't waste your time here.

ACV gives me access to inventory in markets near and far, cars I would never have a chance to purchase without their help.

Just started using ACV more and I'm very impressed. George the manager in Orlando has gone above and beyond to inform and lead me through the ACV app so I utilize it in every way. The reports cover more than what most dealers even check when they are in lane. Looks like this will be the next paradigm for dealer auctions! Go ACV!!

If you are a Reputable Auto Dealer I would be very wary of this platform. They describe some of their Used Dealer Network as "Trusted" when in fact they are the least bit of that. We have purchased over 38 vehicles from ACV in the past 5 months and have had more reconditioning issues then with any other auction.

We have had to Arbitrate on at least a few vehicles AND our current purchase of a $45000 vehicle it was "MISSING" the unit for the Adaptive Cruise and they basically told us to go pound sand.

You will NEVER be able to talk to a Manager there as I think most of them hide from the Dealers especially when there is a problem. Shipping is a "Nightmare" and we have had multiple Title Issues.

Trust me when I tell you as a Dealer for over 35 years STAY AWAY from this group! You would be better off buying from any other source then from these guys.

38 purchased for me and I AM DONE......can't believe I allowed myself to do business with such a poorly run company for that long. Best thing that can happen to ACV is they get acquired from a real auction company that can turn this shoddy operation around

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL SCREW WITH YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS AND STEEL YOUR MONEY! They misrepresent all there cars! When you try to arbitrate you have to go through so many hurdles. Save yourself the headache and go to live auctions!

Found out these guys don't disclose the seller until you PAY FOR THE CAR! That's so shady!
Fellow Dealer bought 4 cars from these guys 2 of which were doctored by the seller and he did not catch it in the 10 day period.
