I am writing in regards the unsatisfactory service...

I am writing in regards the unsatisfactory service that I have received from Acura of Augusta. On Monday, December 31, 2018, I took my car in for AB service. It was explained to me that this was an oil and filter change. At the conclusion of my service, Michelle explained to me all the checks and services completed by the technician. The brakes are at 50 %. Prior to this visit, there was nothing wrong with my brakes. I did not ask for a brake check. Once I left the dealership, I noticed there was a squealing noise coming from my brakes. Initially, I thought that it was coming from where they checked the brakes. On Monday, January 7, 2019, Lindsey called me to follow up on my service visit. I told her at that time of the squealing. She told me that she would put a note in the file, and for me to call back if the noise continued. Due to my work schedule, I returned to the dealership on Monday, January 21, 2019. After the brake check, Michelle told me that the brakes are at 50% and that there was no safety issue. However, if I want the noise to stop, I had to pay $646 to have the brake pads and rotors replaced. On Thursday, January 24, 2019, I received a follow up call from Lindsey. I told her that I am still confused as to what happened to the brakes. Prior to the December 31, 2018 visit, there was no squealing noise coming from my brakes. Since that time, the brakes squeal all the time including when I am driving down the road. I drive a luxury car that squeals. From what I understand, my only option is to pay for a repair that the technician at the dealership caused. It seems to me like that is the ultimate goal of the dealership to have me pay for service or buy a new car.
This instance is not the first problem that I had with the service department of this dealership. In February 2018, it took me being stranded three times (one, over two hours away from home) before the dealership would replace the battery.

At this point, I need to know what I can do about this situation. I take good care of my vehicle and return to the dealership for all scheduled services.

I wish that I could give Acura of Augusta no star. The noise on the left side finally stopped. However, the entire interaction with the service department, Bryan, the service manager in particular, was AWFUL. He and his technician called me a liar. He disrespected me and belittled me. Needless to say, I will not return to have my vehicle serviced at Acura of Augusta. Nor, will I ever purchase another vehicle from there. And my recommendation is that no one else does either.

I love my ride! The service department at Jim Hudson Acura is outstanding! I have been a family member (customer) for approximately three years now. Obviously, we take our vehicles to get serviced and sometimes we get news that was unforeseen but, with that being said, I have experienced excellent customer service of kindness, professionalism and attention to detail from the service team of Melissa, Temple, and CJ. Every time I come to the dealership, I always feel welcomed and to date, my vehicle service needs has been met. I am highly satisfied with the service received and always look forward to future visits Thank you for what you do, I truly appreciate all.

Do not buy a car for these people. I bought a 2008 BMW on February 14 of this year. It has now broke down. They sold me an extended warranty but the company that handles this warranty says they do not cover BMW on any of their plans because parts are so expensive. I call Acura back and ask to speak to the GM. The first time I was sent to voice mail of Mike but he did not return my call the second time I called back and ask for the GM they sent me to a Charlie. He was not very friendly, he sounded bored and was not helpful at all. He came across as uncaring about my situation. They do not care about people only money. The are most helpful to people who buy new cars because they have not choice when a new car breaks down. They feel like they do not need to care about the used car buyer. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Update 09/23/2015
I finally got the money to repair my car on 09/14/2015 and today 09/23 it has broken down again. It will not start so now I have to take it back to the repair shop to find out what is wrong this time. Hopefully the stupid warranty the sold me will fix this problem. If not then, I will have to wait to see how much money I will be out of this time.

I bought a 2014 Acura MDX SH-AWD Advance Entertain...

I bought a 2014 Acura MDX SH-AWD Advance Entertainment. I had to order it because we wanted a specific interior and exterior color and didn't really want to compromise. We ordered the MDX and added about 10 different dealer installed options to the deal. Greg Hodges took our order and I felt he negotiated a very fair price with me. He honored my USAA Car Buying Service price even though that's normally only for in stock vehicles and he gave me pretty much exactly what I wanted for my 2009 Acura MDX that we traded in. My order took a little longer than expected but Greg kept me informed along the way and the issue was with the factory not the dealer. Greg offered to deliver the MDX and pick up our old one so my wife didn't have to deal with swapping car seats and bringing the kids in since I was planning to be out of town but I ended up returning to town and not needing delivery.

When we picked up our new MDX we already had our own financing through USAA and the paperwork was pretty straight forward and quick. We had a slight miscommunication on some body side moldings I wanted but Greg had the vehicle pulled in and the side moldings were installed and the vehicle was ready before we were. The MDX was meticulously clean and every gadget and feature was explained in great detail by Matt Phares. He went into great detail explaining to my wife how to use everything and she felt comfortable and not rushed or overwhelmed. There are a TON of electronics and fancy features to learn/setup and we drove away knowing how to use them all. A week or so after getting our new MDX I had finally gotten a chance to try out all the driving and entertainment features and I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed. This is the best most awesome vehicle we have ever owned or driven in. It is far superior to our '09 MDX and we LOVED that one also.

We ordered a 3rd headset for the rear entertainment for our 3rd child from the parts department and one or two days later it came in. It connected wirelessly right out the box without any pairing required. The service manager answered all of my questions I had at that time also. Car buying can be very stressful and expensive. In the past we've had both good and bad experiences with different dealers. We felt very at ease, stress free and felt we got a great deal with this purchase and would definitely buy another Acura from Acura of Augusta.

Originally dropped off my Acura MDX to find out why all my doors wouldn't lock - Service took a look & CJ called me back with the issue & quoted me a price. I told him I'd go elsewhere. Well, when I got there to pick up my truck, it had been cleaned up for me! Entire staff was friendly & just plain AWESOME!

I purchased a used vehicle on Saturday March 13,2021. I will admit that I wasn't impressed with the idea of being offered a car not of the same class as my trade. To my embaarassment of showing this in my attitude, CJ Banks and sales manager Eric didn't let my attitude change their approach to please me in what I would love and purchase. CJ was a stellar salesman! My process time of the contract was longer than my wait to be notified of approval. It took 10 minutes. I was nervous that their was something else because it was so fast! I waited a few days after my purchase to so that I could honestly say this was the best service I have ever experienced from a dealership! I am totally in love with my new-used car and my care from Jim Hudson Acura and CJ Banks. Please check them out before making a purchase anywhere else in Augusta. You won't regret it!

My husband and I bought our 2021 Acura RDX today and I have to give my utmost gratitude to CJ Banks. CJ had to put up with all of my phone calls this week with an annoying number of questions while I was trying to make up my mind. He calmly answered my questions and eased my anxieties.
By the time we arrived at the dealership, everything just flowed. CJ was polite, professional and made sure that our entire visit was flawless. I LOVE my new car and I am very happy with the whole car buying experience, thanks to CJ.

I went to a sale even in Evans, GA. I have never felt so violated in my life. I felt as if they took advantage of me because I was a female alone and without my husband. I went to this event to find out if I won anything. The sales guy proceeded to get all of my information just in case I won something and it was only suppose to be used for the 1099 form or whatever form it is for the end of the year. This seems harmless; you can't cheat the IRS. Please keep in mind that I have never been to one of these events before. I later found out that they ran my credit. Well, this is not what he told me he needed the information for. So now, I am very upset, I called the 1-800, the local dealership and I later spoke to the general manager. While speaking to the sales manager, he was very empathic to how I was feeling and apologize for how things were carried out. He stated that things should not have been handled this way. I spoke to the general manager about 30 minutes later and he did not at all understand. I told him that I was looking to buy a vehicle but because how things were handle, I don't want to do business with people like that. His closing argument was "I am sorry." He didn't even really seem like he cared one way or another. What if I was his mother, sister, wife or another family member would he want them to be treated this way? I want to say that the unjust will never prosper. This says a lot about this company's business practice. One bad apple spoils the whole bunch.

Acura Augusta consistently has provided me with amazing customer service. Today I purchased my 2nd car from Acura of Augusta, and Jacob was fantastic! His personable customer service can t go unnoticed, he truly listened to what my family wanted/needed in a car and was able to provide! (Same day!)

Having a previous relationship with this dealership I can also speak to their service team - who always provides quick and honest service. Not to mention, will pick my car up for oil changes - I mean, top of the line service!

I Bought My new 2018 Acura MDX Tech and got a better deal than I ever dreamed. The Management was amazing at how they worked to get me the best deal on my Lease and gave me positive equity in my current lease and paid it off instead of me having to go to the trouble of turning it back in to the dealer I purchased from.
The unmatched luxury and superior performance of My new Acura is the most exciting aspect of this whole experience!

Operating hours seem to be around 8am-6pm, yet upon trying to check the availability of a vehicle online, I received several emails saying they were not open and that someone would call me eventually. When I was never contacted I called the store and inquired about the vehicle, snarky sales associates, and after sitting on hold I was hung up on to which I called back just to be informed that the car I had inquired about couldn't be placed on hold several hundred dollars down. Imagine my frustration. It doesn't take 15 minutes to inquire whether or not a car is available. >_<

This was the most pleasurable and relaxed car-buying experience I've ever had. I was expecting the usual pounce and hard sell I'd learned to expect as a woman, and was pleased to be treated with respect. The sales manager, Sean, was my first contact, knowing immediately the specific vehicles that met my criteria and answering my initial questions. When my questions became more in-depth he introduced me to the estimable C. J. Banks, not just a knowledgeable sales professional, but a genuinely nice man. We went over my potential purchase together, all of my questions were answered, and even the negotiation process involving my high-mileage trade-in and the cosmetic damage to the Acura MDX was resolved to a satisfactory conclusion. Even the in-house financing was well-explained and I was satisfied with the option I chose. All in all, a very satisfactory transaction, a pleasant experience, and yes, the coffee in the break room is good. Try the dark roast.

Worst customer service...the only helpful person there was Walter and he called after we had walked out!!! We are also reporting them to USSA True Car...they refused to honor the price from TrueCar and tried to push their financial bank on us...when we already had money in hand from our bank! They were the worst!! If you want great customer service go to Fairway ford or Milton Ruben!!! They were both amazing!!!

We purchased a used vehicle in December. The process was very easy. However it took awhile for them to send the payoff on my trade in, so my temporary tag expired. It seemed like the lady that handled that stuff was never in when I called about it. We had to go back to the dealership to get another temporary tag. I got the statement on my new vehicle before the old one recieved the payoff.

I made an appointment to have an oil change done. An employee came over to me after an hour of me waiting and asked if I was ok and I replied "No, I'm not." All of a sudden someone came and grabbed my vehicle (which was sitting in the same spot the entire time untouched) and took it back.

They were apologetic and offered a discount.... the staff is extremely nice and took the time to explain what happened. I would hope this is a one time situation. I actually increased my rating from a 1 to a 4..... who knows..... maybe it'll go up to a 5 next visit because I will be coming back..... after all..... things happen right. They key is they were willing to make it right.

Really the best compliment I can give any dealership was as my wife drove off in her new vehicle she looked at me and said "Wow that was the easiest car buying experience I've ever had!" My first experience was bringing an Acura for service that I bought elsewhere. I was hesitant but pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding. I subsequently bought a second Acura here. The sales people are professional and the service is excellent.

Recently my husband lost a very expensive key fob for his new Acura. How easy it would have been to simply replace it but everyone from the parts department to the owner did everything they could to help him find it or see if there was a less expensive way to replace it.

This is a dealership with a heart! Professional, they know their product and the service is outstanding. Why look elsewhere?

This is the worst dealership I have ever stepped foot in. Chuck is a amazing car salesman. On the other hand his mangment and the service department are the most unprofessional group of people I have ever dealt with. I had my car come in for a check up and they said it need 900 dollars worth of work, so I got a second option from Firestone and nothing was wrong with my car except the battery. Acura of Augusta said my brakes were completely unsafe and multiple other things switch were not true. I advious you to look else where if you are buying a used car!

The worst dealer ever. Privately owned so you won't be able resolve any issues with the national Acura. We were quoted a price on an MDX, got the loan, cleaned my car out, took the car home and was called and told I had to bring the car back. They made a mistake and wrote the wrong mileage down on the appraisal of my other MDX and simply could not give me the price. Pretty sure that is not legal on their part, but the manager and his little side kick didn't budge. The worst sales experience I've ever had in my life. Stay very very far away. Go to Atlanta Acura, they give the best price around.

Bought a used Acura from this dealership recently. The salesman (Chuck) was very honest and straightforward. He didn't pressure me to make a decision and was very patient.
However, one of the managers (I'm guessing he was a mid-level manager) gave me false information and made promises and guarantees that he was unable to deliver, despite my request for honesty. I returned the next day to finalize the paperwork and he was not there.
After noticing that one of his promises eased not in writing, I inquired and eventually spoke to the Sales Manager (Johnathan). I ed explained what happened and he confirmed my belief that I was given bad information. He also ended up providing part of what the other manager said he was able to do.
In the end, I am not unhappy with the OVERALL service, but that one person definitely prevented them from getting a top review and I would not recommend anyone to deal with him in the future. Chuck and Jonathan both appear to be honest guys and i give them high reviews.
