Excellent Services and Nice Tidy Room

Excellent Services and Nice Tidy Room
From: Hong Kong Namiwa 19 Days Journey during 27 November 2017 to 15 December 2017.

It is my first time travel to Australia Melbourne. My living hotel at Mercure Welcome Melbourne which is located at 265 Little Bourke street, Melcourne 3000, Victoria Aus (just next to Melbourne Chinatown, very convenience location and nearby are all kinds of restaurants, shopping mall). I check in at 12:00noon on 28 November 2017. A lady staff namely Daniela Sungovska who helps for my check in. The staff is so kind for my report of loss a gold bracelet for Virgin Australia Airlines.

My room number is 1032. I stay 5 nights at this hotel with free WiFi. The room is nice, clean, tidy, bright, spacious with free green tea, coffee, biscuits, as well as hair dryer, shower cap, shampoo and conditioner.

Breakfast is at 1st floor. It including bacon, sausage, yellow beans, congee, breads, orange juice, pineapple juice, fruits, watermelons, pineapple, melons etc. It is delicious. Serving time from 6:30am to 10:30am.

I contact many staff at Mercure Welcome Melbourne hotel, they are all very kind and helpful just like angels. I would like to e
xpress my sincere thanks to Suneesh Gupta, Annie Maclennan, Devi Nuryanti and Daniela Sungovska. All the above stall whom help me to settle all kinds of problems when I encounter during my vacation in Melbourne.

Suneesh Gupta and Annie Maclennan providing all instructions for my pick up of local tour and location map. Devi Nuryanti teaches me how to go to the airport and the available transportation.

I would say that this hotel with 5 stars grading services. It is definitely worth to stay here with your holidays. I will book and come again to the hotel for my next trip to Melbourne.

The price was great and the location superb. The amenity of the room and associated guest areas was nice enough for the price, it was just the service that lacked that prevented me from giving 5 stars.

Looks like hotel staff is even not able to understand basic English as they always assume things differently. On the top of it, food is always stale and tasteless. The food they are giving is good for dustbin only.

Very convenient, the next floor is Chinatown, many restaurants, there are supermarkets and large supermarkets nearby. But it is also very embarrassing, a lot of people, etc., the room is generally comfortable, a bit old

Probably the worst hotel I've ever experienced. No safe, no bible, no cupboards, no drawers. Tiny room, hard bed, hard pillows, noisy location and not the cleanest. This is the first time I've ever rated a place so poorly. This place is old and dirty. I have no idea how it manages to cling onto more stars than 2.

Friendly staff, good size room, well priced, comfortable and clean. Could have a bit of an update and I requested extra set of drawers which was set up. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Fabulous location.

I am happy about the over all service of ur hotel. However, it charged me too much for the one more day stay in ur hotel ( double the price of the original price for a room). A lady in the service counter performs her job more than I expected. I forgot her name , ( I only remember her face) but I can tell she is in her middle age. I trust her very much. She is the one gives me a reliable impression. I am sure she knows more what the guests want than others. These what I can say. Thank you for ur attention.

Unfortunately this stay was the least enjoyable of any Mercure hotel I've stayed in - especially as I'd booked two King rooms for 4 nights. One room had a sewerage odour all week and no fans in the bathrooms. The paintwork and door jams were in need of repair or a simple paint job to spruce up. The bed was hard and really uncomfortable for such a long stay (King was simply two singles together). The second room was nicer, no smell, comfortable bed but the air con didn't work properly. Breakfast was included but the food was inedible. Milk and juices didn't stay cold. Overall really disappointing.

Good value and decent breakfast buffet. Rooms are fairly tight so not for those wanting to swing cats but if its just for the a couple of nights in a central location this is a good option for the price

The hotel was incredibly dirty and the floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed properly in years. The roof in our room had black dirt/dust. AC vents were thick with dust. We will never stay in a Mercure again from this experience. I've never experienced a hotel so dirty.

Checking in and staying at this hotel was a pleasant experience, booking it, however, was difficult and stressful. The WIFI was easy to access, but it was incredibly slow and sometimes just unusable, luckily it wasn't a necessity for our trip.

I have been staying with the Welcome Mecure at least five days per month now for approximately 6 mths. I find the entire process quite seamless, the guys who park my car now remember who I am and are always happy to have a quick chat, the check-in desk is never overly crowded and quite efficient, rooms are a great size, have everything you need and are always clean. I quite like the fact that you have the cafe off to the side of the hotel so you can escape the breakfast traveler madness and actually sit down, grab a quick coffee and read the paper without too much fuss.

It was a great location, friendly staff and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms were good although we ended up with two rooms on different floors because it was a late booking and it was our first experience with valet parking and didn't know parking was offsite and were unorganized with luggage.

We loved our stay at Mercure Welcome Melbourne. The location was fantastic, the staff was very helpful and let us check in early and the rooms were adequate for our short stay. Will not hesitate to stay again. When booking, request room further away from the lifts as they can be very noisy.

Stay was disappointing. Room and bathroom very small and noisy.
You could hear every movement in the hallway and cleaning staff were very noisy also.
Have stayed at other Mercure hotels which were far better.

This is a convenient location. I stayed in 3 rooms during the one week that I was here. The last room we stayed in 2 single beds - air-conditioning did not work properly. Very noisy, we can hear other running water (from other guests' showers?). The rooms were not very sound proof, we can hear voices as people walk along the hallway. It was location and cheap deals that attracted me to the hotel.

Great cheap hotel, no mini bar which can be a good thing, as no temptation.
Right on Swanston Walk, easy to find hotel.
Would have been nice if the both the Grand Mercure and Mercure Welcome both side had double glazed windows fitted, so that there was no street noise, though not overpowering, the street noise even high up is quite audible.
BUT will definitely choose to stay at the Mercure Welcome again.

I have stayed at the Mercure Welcome several times before but it appears to just keep getting better. Gone are the days of seemingly constant construction works that wake you when the clocks strike 7am. Now, the Mercure offers comfortable, budget accommodation in the very centre of Melbourne, with Swanston Street on your doorstep and access to restaurants and department stores via Little Bourke Street.

The standard rooms are squishy for two people but overall, the hotel is a clean, functional base for your stay in Melbourne.

We particularly noted the courtesy and assistance of the staff with parking the
car and storing artwork to be collected by a Melbourne purchaser. We appreciated that there was a room available early as we arrived on Spirit of Tasmania ferry around 6.30 a.m.

We stayed here for two nights. Upon arrival we checked in quickly as they had all our info ready upon arrival, given a free room upgrade too. Was also given two bottles of water, free internet and two free welcome drinks. This hotel is really close to china town. Has a shopping mall across the road and placed really central in the city. Rooms were spacious and clean. Only down side was the showers could do with an upgrade.

Pros- Location, location, location!!! In the middle of the city. Next to all the major city shopping centre. Friendly and helpful staffs.

Ok- Price is reasonable after discount, will never pay the full price since it is only a 3 stars hotel and the cons stated below.

Cons- Small room, although looks recently renovated but still has the "old wood" smell. Corridor very dated and laundry left everywhere on the corridor on check-in. Limited and slow lifts, always crowded. Door between joint room need double checking to make sure it is closed properly.
