Really enjoyed the hotel, particularly it's location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, and the bar for a casual drink and meal. The choice at breakfast was good, and was great to get freshly cooked to order eggs. But the scrambled eggs in the buffet were horrendous and not edible. Likewise the coffee from one of those instant machines was terrible. The room was fine - certainly clean and tidy, but was quite noisy - could hear other guests in the next room talking and watching TV, and the water pipes from above also made noise. The single bed could do with replacing as it was very saggy and uncomfortable. The bathroom whilst small, was excellent and had clearly been renovated recently. The shower was particularly good - strong steady stream of water which was always hot. I'd say the bathroom was the highlight of the room.

The hotel is old, run down and has a more student accommodation feel than a hotel in the heart of Melbourne CBD
Carpet was dirty, the bed sheets felt cheap & the cheap halogen lighting made it feel cold and sterile.
