Thank you to everyone at 5grand auto!!! I love my new car. I knew I had special credit situation and the worked so hard to stay with in my budget and get me into a 2010 vehicle that is great on gas and perfect for my families needs!! I cannot say enough I thought I would have to get a 2004 with higher miles... But because of the care for there customers and what there needs are they were able to exceed my expectations !!! 5 Grand Auto Land is a very good place to purchase a car. The whole staff is fantastic, we had a ball while waiting for all for the paperwork to be finalized. And that did not take long at all either. Very down to earth people. When we arrived they greeted us with well. If you are looking for any kind of car, this is the place to go. If I could give 5Grand a 6 star, I would. I came in as a complete damsel in distress, and Derek and Kipp completely saved the day. I had moved from out of state, started a new job, and needed a new car right then and there and they made it as stress-less as possible for me, they fought for me to get a good deal and I got an outstanding result! I can't thank them enough!!

I was on a time crunch to sell all of my belongings and pursue some missionary work in South America. Of everything, the most difficult item to sell was my vehicle because I wanted to ensure I get the best offer and leave it in the hands of good people. After several weeks of trying to sell and no positive leads, a friend informed me about 5 grand auto land and their personal experience with the dealership and superb customer service they received. I initially contacted the dealership and was informed that I would get a call back within the next two day, which I did. I spoke with Kip and informed him of my situation and time demand to sell my vehicle before my travels. He gave me a ball park estimate and told me to come by if I had time and was interested. For once, I felt really good because I was treated with respect and in turn received nothing but honest feedback about my options/ possibilities for the transaction even before meeting in person. Fast forwarding some, I noted only attained the best pricing option for my vehicle, but received prayer over my mission work and a personal contribution for my endeavors. I would consider myself very blessed to have received the service that I did and will most certainly recommend/ continue my vehicle purchases/ sells with 5 Grand Autoland!!! Kip is a genuine man of God and can't wait to see how the Lord blesses him and his family in the future.

Christian has called and texted me and has been very helpful and professional. I have not purchased the vehicle as yet but I do appreciate how quickly they got in touch with me, and their willingness to work with me, and answer any questions. Extremely grateful to have found this dealership, definitely worth the trip to Oceanside from East County! I worked with Doc, but, everyone was very welcoming and knowledgeable. They moved the process along pretty quickly and even hooked me up with new, paidfor tires!

I came in here with low expectations and pretty much with out any hope of getting a car but Paul Roth totally changed that around he helped me out and was able to get me into a car I really appreciate everything he has done his a very honest and trustworthy guy. If your credit is on the low side they will still work with you. Coming in here was the best I could have done. Very recommendable to anyone looking for a car!

I am so greatful to have found Doc at 5 grand auto! From the very first time I called him and asked questions and set up a appointment he was so kind to me and promised he would do his absolute best to get me in a car that day. I have my own experience in the auto industry, mainly sales & finance & left that world due to how shady it can be!
But this place is far from the other snaky dealerships out there.
After Kip helped me pick the right car. I did my own research & he was very patient. They are SPOT ON with their pricing. And truly sell great cars.
They let me go through my own financing & when that didn't work...
They ALL worked their butts off to get me out of my trade I owed soooo much money on & into a car 10 years newer than my last.

After I purchased vehicle, Derek changed the rate of interest 3 times. In the end had to involve my attorney. Don't be fouled by these guys.

This is the least stressed I've ever been while buying a car. Paul is a pleasure to work with, was up front with everything, and made sure I knew what was happening every step of the way. I was out the door about an hour later with my car.

Dave is truly a blessing to 5 grand auto land and it wouldn't be the same with out him. Being a marine for four years and not being able to change my views of oceanside to never buy vehicles there, but this man will change the view of it all. I had a heavy load on me and he helped completely lift it off me and was willing to help me more with just cars. Used car dealerships terrify me! I desperately needed a larger vehicle with a new baby on the way any day. My friend recommended 5 Grand Autoland...she pretty much had to drag me there...but BOY did this place EXCEED my expectations!!! They were friendly and not pushy! The prices were excellent! The owner, Kip, was SUPER friendly and patient with all my questions. And most importantly, they helped me find a vehicle that was WAY better than what I was expecting!!! As you know the car buying experience is never an enjoyable one but I have to say that wasn't the case with Kip at 5 Grand Auto. Derek was the one to help us at the lot and he was also great to work with. My wife needed a car. They didn't have what we were looking for but I gave him the details of what we wanted. Kip found 5 options at west coast auctions. We zeroed in on one of them and were successful in purchasing below what we were hoping to spend.

If you're looking for a car 5 Grand is the place to go. If they don't have what you're looking for they will find it for you. Great, honest and his Yelp & Google reviews speak for themselves. Best auto buying experience I've had and I've been through a lot of them.

Kip and his team are the absolute best. He's sold multiple cars for me, he's helped out my friends and even my neighbor. I recommend him for all car sale or buying needs. So my wife and I purchased a car at the Oside blvd location 3 years ( almost 4) ago . We Are a low income family that was literally laughed off other lots and had almost given up on purchasing a newer used car, until we came to 5Grand . They had no pressure sales and definitely knew all the ins and outs to get us into a car. Now maybe your wondering why am I writting this review so far from when I purchased the car and it's simply to demonstrate they didn't sell us a lemon . This car has been more reliable than any other car we've owned . Along with standard maintenance, Ginger ( our car) has made a trip to Wisconsin and back as well as several other long road trips. When were done paying this car off , we will be back for another , they have definitely earned a customer for life.....

Came in last month looking to shop around. I had been to several smaller car dealers in the area and I was beginning to think I was going to have to go to one of the big chain dealers to get someone who seemed trustworthy.
Kip was clearly different than the other owners and salespeople I met. I found him to be immediately trustworthy and upfront. I came in to look at a specific car but did not tell him that. He asked me some questions as we chatted and actually took me to the exact car I had looked at online. Car was in great shape and Kip was patient as I drove it and really thought about the decision. He was honest about what he could and could not do price wise and I am happy to say I bought the car on my first visit to their lot.
A month later and I could not be happier with my decision. The car has been perfect and to top it off, they called me to give me some money back! Turns out the fee estimate was a little off and they collected more from me than needed. Instead of quietly pocketing it, they tracked me down and made sure to get me a check.
Stand up guys and nice cars on the lot. I highly recommend checking them out.

Without a doubt, this business is getting its customers based entirely on their honesty and upfront righteousness they present. We were shopping for a vehicle to replace my mother's car so she could pass her older car to us a few months ago. Unfortunately at the time nothing fit, but we remembered that Ray at 5 Grand was just so honest and forthright with us that we absolutely called them up as our first choice recently.

My mom's car broke down, and we were unable to get the funds to get her on the road and to work in any near amount of time that would work for us. Ray answered his phone, and drove down to pick her up, and got her into the car she wanted that day. Kip worked with us to get a rate that would work for us, so that we wouldn't be put out and we would be able to afford it.

They even called us back when the bank approved a lower interest rate, which allowed us to afford gap insurance. These guys are the absolute best. They never made us feel bad for not having money upfront. They are truly nice people that deserve the best.

Kip and his team were amazing.. they were all true gentlemen. I went in knowing that I needed to stay within a certain payment and Kip made it happen. He was honest and up front and did not make any promises he couldn't keep. He even offered me a jacket while I was transferring stuff from one car to the other since it was starting to get a bit cold.

There are still truly good people in the world and Kip is one of them.

But this review is for another purpose... I originally went to Kip with a credit score just over 500 and he was able to get me in a good car with a reasonable down payment. As I said, I have purchased two additional cars from him (getting a nicer car each time).
I have since moved out of state and was just able to trade my last purchase in for a 2018 Kia Stinger GT2.

Had the wonderful experience with the father of the owner of this company. He made me feel so welcomed and gave me all the information I asked for. Where can I even begin to express my feelings about this place?? With such a busy schedule, I never imagined shopping for or financing another car. 2 years ago I let go of a beautiful dream car I had. It was a difficult but necessary decision I made. Ruining my credit was the downside of it but I was hopeful that one day again I would get myself another one. I saved just a little bit of cash here and there but saving to buy one out right was just beginning to look like a real long shot with other more important matters interfering every time. UNTIL I drove by 5 Grand Autoland on the 4th of July. In driving by in the early evening I saw a beautiful white angel! No, not Dave! haha! A white 2004 Yukon XL Denali! Just like the one I had! I pulled over just to peek inside and remind myself how bad I wanted one again and to motivate myself to keep saving.

THEN I saw the real WHITE ANGEL, Dave Spurling! He approached me and asked if I was looking for a car. It was after hours so I was unsure if he worked there but he sparked a great and inspirational conversation with me. A conversation of hope. I shared with him my story of my fallen dream car and he said he could get me in that car. NO WAY! I thought! Nobody can approve me now!

I took his card and told him I would think about it. He later sent me a text message reminding me that all I needed to do was fill out the online app and that he could work his magic and let me know what I would need to make it happen.

I was skeptical but damn I couldn't stop thinking of how certain he made me feel. So I said screw it. I submitted my online app close to 11pm at night after so much pondering. 6:30am I receive a text that read, "I already got you approved".
I was SOFA KING IN SHOCK!! But so darn happy and excited! And my next thought was, 'must be a crappy rate'. NOT AT ALL! I don't know what he did, said, or how he did it but he got me approved.

During the course of the next week I brought in a very small down payment, completed paperwork and picked up my car! It was then that I met Kip and Ray. Ray was so funny and such a pleasure to deal with! He drove me to pick up my car from the lot they hid it at for me (because they HELD it for me until I could pick it up) and he treated me like VIP. Kip was so sweet and made me feel very welcome and at home throughout the entire transaction. He was honest and helpful in answering all my questions to be sure I left there without any uncertainty or regrets. The atmosphere was so comfortable and inviting because of these 3 guys!

I've had the car now for 2 months and Dave still keeps in touch with me to see how things are going, if there are any issues or just to ask what new upgrades I've added. I truly owe the biggest thanks and 5 stars to Dave! He took my experience from the fear of trying again, to having hope and him delivering as promised. He's sincere, personable, genuine, and understanding. He BELIEVES in second chances and by damn works hard with such poise to help you. That personal touch with sincerity is absolutely priceless and I've only received that type of service from one place, 5 Grand Autoland.

Did I mention that after I signed the deal he and Kip called me in to sign an even BETTER DEAL?!! They saved me more $$$, reduced my interest rate further and cancelled the remaining balance of my down payment! So even when I thought I had received the best, I received even MORE.

**Update: it's been years since I first posted this review but wanted to update it. Less than 2 yrs after purchasing my car, the transmission went out and I had to have it rebuilt, there was also a slow oil leak, and the vehicle's suspension was shot. During the purchase I did ask why the "Air ride control" notice was coming on and they said they'd have it checked before I pick up the car and have it fixed. I should have taken it to a mechanic to confirm but I didn't.

Kip, the owner, is a solid dude who I willingly and repeatedly keep recommending to people.

This is THE place to buy a used car! Buying a car is tough enough. I am a woman, and brought no one with me. I easily could have been swindled and intimidated into buying something I couldn't afford. The staff here made sure I felt comfortable and ensured I KNEW they weren't going to sell me what I couldn't handle.

These guys made this process EFFORTLESS for me. They worked every angle they could with the banks to make sure I got the best loan possible, and I drove off the lot in my car!

Dave is a magician on the phone with the banks, Ray is great at customer service, and Hannah is a sweetheart and helped me understand what was going on as it was happening. I was lucky enough to watch them work their magic for me, and I was NEVER left in the dark as to what was going on the entire process.

These Guys were awesome! I started looking at a Jeep at a good price, thought I'd shop around. Both me and my cousin drove all around San Diego. I mean all around from North County to National City looking for a truck/jeep/Suv. Let me be clear, I was a special credit case and I needed some help. I went to just about every dealership that claims "We Finance anyone" most of these people were a joke and basically wanted to rape me with fees and interest. But with the good job I had and a decent down payment Kip and team took care of me. I even had problems with my bank when I went to swipe my card didn't matter. By the end of the day I was tired and grumpy and had enough of everything. Kip still took care of me and I drove off with my new to me jeep. The Jeep... Best price for the mileage on it and really beat any other prices I saw. This will be the first place I go when I'm looking for another used car and be the first place I tell people about when they say they are looking for a car... I cannot say enough good things about 5 Grand Autoland! When my husband came home from Afghanistan several months ago, we were looking up new vehicles for him to drive as opposed to his truck. We found a great quality used Jeep at this dealership and made a deal with Kip the next day! He gave us a fantastic trade in for his previous truck, as well as a great price on the Jeep! We had such a great experience not only money wise but with customer service as well! Doc was amazing! I came to 5 grand auto land with a mid ranged budget. Doc helped set me up with a beautiful 2017 Mazda for a fair price! Customer service was excellent. Doc, Mark, and Perry were wonderful to do business with and went out of their way to help me. I would recommend first time buyers and any buyers to 5 grand autoland!

I went by the dealership a few days ago and i was really happy to buy a car. They had a couple of trucks i wanted and it has been hard to find. i don't have the best of credit but i had good money down and went to go buy the truck there because they have good reviews. however when i went there, there was this man yelling at this woman. he was yelling at her and it looked like she was calling the cops. I was with my mom and we left as soon as possible. It was really scary. I found out later that the man yelling was the owner and he was yelling at his wife. It scared me and I'm glad i left.

I tried to go back to the store a couple of days later and i saw a bunch of cop cars there. I really wanted this truck so i started to walk in and i see the cops talking to this owner man with gray hair and he is saying bad things about his wife. even though i really wanted to do my business there, i didn't feel like i could support a place with that kind of trouble. It was very obvious to me and I think it was obvious to the cops that this man likes to beat that woman. the cops were protecting her.

I ended up going to a new dealership in kearny mesa and they gave me a good deal on a new chevy truck. it went through very easily and i didn't have to see any crazy men yelling at women. Beware of this place!

Cannot say enough great things about this place. They reinvent working tirelessly for you so your experience is effortless.

I purchased a used SUV from these guys a few weeks ago. They are a great bunch of guys to work with. No BS salesmanship. They offered a very competitive price; and went out of their way to deal with some of my unusual circumstances. Mostly veterans working there and very military friendly. If I was in the market for another used car I would definitely go back to them.

Have been talking about getting an economical car with better gas mileage for a while now. Saw a car on their website that I liked, saw all the positive reviews and decided to take a look at the car.
Can't say enough about Ryan and the fantastic service he gave us. Ryan had agreed to remedy and add a few additions to the car at no further charge to me so that it would be the car I really wanted. To make a long story short, took the car home but after 3 days realized it just wasn't what I wanted. Ryan allowed us to return the car today Tuesday 4/25/17 without any further obligations. As it turned out, I found another car that I really liked and suited my needs much better. Many thanks to

5 grand autoland and the staff are AMAZING! My 19 year old daughter finally got her DL this past Friday, and as promised we started our journey to look for a car. Well, that didn t take long! LOL. 5 Grand autoland was the 2nd dealership we visited, and right from the start I knew this is where we were meant to be. Mark was our salesman and what a gentleman. He was knowledgeable, sweet and patient with us, as we looked at MANY cars. Not once did we feel pressured, but so at ease. We laughed and shared stories for hours. Well, needless to say, my daughter is now a proud owner of a 2016 Hyundai Sonata. Throughout the whole process, we had the pleasure to also meet/deal with the owner- Kip and Josue, the manager. What an awesome experience AND they even took the time to pray with us. Over the years, I have purchased or co-signed many vehicles and never once have ever dealt with a staff with complete integrity and honesty. Took the day off to look at a Toyota Corolla. But when I got there it wasn t in the lot. Apparently it was loaned out to someone. The dealership had ample opportunity to let me know of the car s availability. Now in hindsight, I believe this car was used as a bait to get people in the door. This was a waste to time.

These guys really took the stress out of this whole experience and sold me an excellent vehicle. Kip and the guys are really stand up gentlemen and guided me through my first car buying experience with ease. I absolutely love my new ride and I got it an extremely fair price. The car I bought (Acura ILX) as well as all of the others on the lot were very well kept and properly maintenanced. I trust 5 Grand Autoland after such a positive experience and would recommend them to anyone in search of a used car .

This was an amazing company to do buisness with. we had a couple hiccups along the way that they had no trouble helping me solve. everything was quick and easy and went off my schedule. i highly recomend if your looking for a reliable used car.

Got everything set up and ready to go in my 2015 Mazda 3 in a day, Vanessa was really helpful and they made sure I was able to take the car home that day, relieving a lot of the stress of not having a car.

This company is bogus they took my car back along with the rims I got from rent a wheel. I asked them to let me know when they got the car from the repo company so I can swap out my rims but no instead they proceeded to sell the car without giving me my rims back these people will give anyone a car but be careful they are not a business

After moving Here without a vehicle I desperately needed one. I looked and looked all over san Diego from Craigs list to used car dealerships. Every weekend I could and during the week for over a month. I found five grand auto land and was just expecting the same thing, no luck. However I went home in my 2000 lincoln ls. I couldn't be happier with the experience I had there, I got exactly what I wanted in price range which I couldn't do anywhere else. They are all super nice and truely care about there customers. If your looking for a new car, hands down I recommend them!

Okay, full disclosure.... To say I have challenged credit is an understatement. I am less than a full year out from a chapter 7 bankruptcy discharge. I am in California by way of Chicago, by way of New York. I have a job but it isn't exactly the most financially rewarding. Without transportation my option in a job hunt became rather limited as there is only so far I can go, while still ensuring that I can get my son to and from school on time and safely. I applied for a few anyway and secured an amazing position, but now was in desperate need of a car. I figured it was worth a try to at least see what was out there. I walked past 5 grand almost everyday for a year before I got my new job and had heard nothing but great things about them from a few co workers. Given the inside information I have about other dealerships in the are because of my job I decided to go to 5 grand. Just to do a tad more research I decided to read the Google reviews. Perhaps it is because of my East coast upbringing but all the rave reviews only served to make me skeptical...... No one can possibly be that good... Right? However , it appears to be true. Dave is truly amazing. I went in prepared for the typical smarmy used car sales man and every pitch under the book. I expected and astronomical interest rate and I expected a hoopty. None of these things were what I got. Dave is a genuine person who made sure the the day I came in I drove home in a car... and I did. I have an interest rate that even in my best assumed scenario I would have never believed I could qualify for. It may seem materialistic to say that a car has changed my life... but it has. Since moving to Oceanside 2 years ago I have essentially been stuck in a 2 mile radius and now I am limitless. I have Dave to thank for that. I am beyond appreciative and thankful that people like him exist that have a genuine desire to help people. He will certainly be the person I go to when I am ready to upgrade once I gain more stability with my credit. If you are in the market for a car you absolutely must go here first.

I don't know about you, but I don't like buying cars, I don't like going in that room, I don't like feeling pressured BUT Working with Dave Spurling was amazing. He made the process so effortless. He had me pre approved, I never went in the room, he personally delivered my car to me and had me sign all my paperwork outside of the office!
It was such a great experience I will never buy any other way! I feel AMAZING! I have my dream car and was so served and taken care of.
