This is my first review and unfortunately it's not a positive one. I consigned for my younger brother and within the first month, he is already experiencing issues. This is a 2014 Toyota with ~30k miles on it and seemed like a nice car. Turns out the rotors are rusted so the car shakes when he tries to brake. He took it to the dealership and despite having full warranty on it, we are being told he must pay out of pocket to fix it. Though this is not a safety issue, we were misled by the dealership who told us there were no issues with the vehicle. Now my brother is getting ready to head back to school in a week and after spending his savings to put a down payment on the car, he is being asked to spend even more money which he does not have. The whole point of us going to a dealership versus somewhere like Craigslist was because we trusted that we were purchasing a good quality car and would not have to worry about any issues for quite some time and here we are less one month in and already feeling misled and taken advantage of. I have requested that they waive this fee to fix it since that is how they sold it to us and they are refusing.
Buyer beware. They make you feel good about your purchase and then pull the rug from beneath under your feet. Thanks a lot Toyota!
UPDATE: I sent an email to the follow sent to my initial email and never received a response. This to me means that they respond to reviews to appear as though they have the intention to resolve the issue but they don't.
They nickel-and-dime you. Example: a dollar fifty "document retention charge"! Wanted$105 to glue a piece of weather stripping back on the door ( insisted it had to be replaced. The glue is holding just fine).
Experience with Seyed and Payam
We rated Seyed very high as he was wonderful to work with. His friendliness met us at the door! He listened attentively to what we had to say. He educated us about the various Prius automobiles. Seyed answered our many questions very patiently. I would recommend anyone wanted a Toyota to go to him. Payam was very helpful is getting us the best deal we could find. When we told him we had to be home at a certain time to pick up grandsons he worked quickly to end the financial process. We went away very pleased with his efforts.
I have a problem with my car TOYOTA CAMRY ,when I drive about 50mph ,the front shaking ,. Darcar 355 told me rotate the tire and alignment and charged me $115.00 .oh yes the problem still there ,bring it back ! They said change brake pads and replace rotate wheel ! Another $559.00 soar! The car still have some problem .I brought it back .Technician out wrong brake pad ! I just wonder that do they have poor service and bad technology technicians or they just lie and try to take your money!!!! BADDDDD!

Toyota is my favorite car manufacturer, and 355 Toyota is my favorite dealership. For one thing, they're right around the corner. Which is partially why we bought our last 3 cars there. I've had nothing but good experiences with them. The Parts Department is excellent as well, when it comes to replacing fluids, filters and pads for my 3 vehicles.
We dropped off our 2015 Corolla today so they could do the Safety Recall work. Richard A. met us, told us what to expect and took our key. He's a very nice fellow, very helpful and is a pleasure to deal with. We dropped the car off at noon and I got the phone call to pick it up at 1:30. The work was all done, and the car was as clean as a pin. It doesn't get any better than that! Thanks, Richard and 355 Toyota!
Purchased a used 2014 Toyota Corolla back in February and I was helped by the salesman and so as the manager named PJ Mehta. Everything went smooth except when I was given the keys...apprarently I was told that the previous owner has not returned the spare keys yet and I should get them once I pick up my tags. Three weeks came and I have not heard from them about the tags so I decided to call myself and check. The tags actually came two weeks after and it was just sitting at their office without notifying me. I found this out because the dates that it was recieved was showing on their filing cabinet. I again met my saleman at the used car office and he help me install the tags. As soon as I ask for the spare keys he told me that the previous owner never returned it. This is when I asked again PJ and he told me that they unfortunately do not have control on this and that I will just either pay for one if I really want them. At this point I was unhappy cause everything got switch...so he said that he can work on something out in terms of the cost since I also complained about the tags that was just sitting with no notification. I felt that they just want the money upfront and care less after they got you sold. Then pj offered me a discounted cost on the spare key and said he will work on the cost once he placed the order for the service center. The part came in and when I decided to schedule an appointment after 5 months I was told that there was no notes on the adjustment cost and I will have to pay atleast $300 just for the programming. Front desk person said that PJ was at the meeting until 10am to verify something since I said that they should have notes about discounted cost...so I waited and when I finally showed up around 10:20am with no follow-up call; guy said that there no notes at all. I tried to call Pj's desk but someone answered instead and told me that pj wont come in until 1pm. I went again and told the front desk person that someone said that he wont be in until 1pm...so who did you confirm this to? He replied and I dont really know. This whole thing became a disaster so I said forget about it. I even emailed Pj Mehta about the current situation but never heard from him at all. I wish that from the begging the sense of urgency is being in placed and the customer service is being executed all thruout the sales. Unfortunately it stopped right away once you sign the papers. I hope this wont happen to any of the people who is trying to buy a new/used car at this pace.

Bought a new RAV 4 yesterday. The sales consultant Robbie really helped us in choosing the right trim level. However, we were tricked and cheated by the Iranian finance guy(don't remember his name) to buy extended warranty. Even after repeated asking whether we can buy it later or not, he said we can only get it while buying a new car. However, after going over the documentation we found like it can be purchased later within 3 years and under 36k miles. He will only mention you the years of extended warranty, will never tell you about the mileage restrictions. He kept us pushing until we said yes thinking of not able to buy it later. Was cheated for $890, it doesn't worth it.
Be aware before you buy vehicles from them.
Watch for the surprise fees they come up with - you think you got a good price during the initial haggling, but when you go sign the papers, some new fee always comes up cancelling all the price reduction you thought you got!
They told me to call me after they received the items for repairing my car after they took my check. But nobody cares to call me back , because I have already paid them.
Their financial guy Bushir, he told me he 100% false things when he sold me the car.
Only have done dealer business here very big always with customers lots of vehicle servicing done here.
A little pricey in my opinion, but then again so is everything else in the area. They do good, quality Toyota certified work, which is what every Toyota owner expects.

Service was disorganized and poorly coordinated. Dropped off car at appointment time then received a call that the car was initially assessed I would have to come back for more assessments then require a third appointment for the actual repair. I gave the Service department 4.5 hours to do the initial assessment. This is extremely inconvenient!

I traded in my Ford Escape for a more gas efficient 2016 Toyota RAV4 hybrid. Now, being in the military, most of our credentials vary - drivers license card from one state, license plate on another state, and car title from yet another state. I had an issue with the license department (due to a delay with my prior car title and miscommunication with VA DMV), but it does not really bother me as much as the finance department. "We strive for core values and dedication to our customers" doesn't ring true to what 355 toyota practices. First, I was going to give 1 star, but Mr. Peter Huang from the used car department went above and beyond with my trade in experience (a better rating was given via Yelp for his part). On another hand, Mr. Marandloui from the Finance department needs to check whether he wants to be a comedian instead. Pushing finance to a customer who has already something lined up, then making ridiculous jokes does not sit well with anyone. Minimize the jokes and concentrate on customer care instead.

Dar cars is a worst company, I will never buy a car from them again and I don't recommend any one to these guys.
If you get a chance never go to them. They put all rubbish to you/your loan(without your knowledge) to extract money from you and harass to pay you back the money what you need to get it.
Here is my story
Buying a car:
I bought a Toyota 2014 Camry from Darcar, 355 Toyota, Rockville on Oct 24, 2014.
My car was XLE model(top end) cost me $24500 and opted for a loan, to get a loan from Toyota they had added all the Insurance, Gap Coverage, Two Extend Warranty all of them without telling me anything how much it is going to cost me.
Canceling Added Services:
Finally one fine day i wanted to prepay the loan and called them, got a big shock about the amount i need to pay them is 30400. When I call called Dar car Sales Rep, he is saying i don't know who you are, you come and i talk to me then i will answer and disconnected the call. Finally after lot of follow-up with Sales Manager he explained the charge they had added to my car then i asked to cancel all added services.
They took a letter from me on Nov 11, 2014 and they never send to cancel my extended warranty/gap/life insurance(trans America).
I had to mail all the cancelation letters to Transamerica and Toyota Finance individually to cancel these and after spending so much of time with these guys finally I did that and it is canceled.
Getting refund:
For all Toyota Finance cancellations i got refund in couple of days but for Transamerica policy cancelation they started Circus. I sent a letter to Transamerica for cancelation, they are saying refund sent to Toyota Finance. Toyota Finance is saying they did not receive anything for the cancelation. Got two of them into a bridge and got to know they sent refund to Dealer. Now it is the time to paly dealer game. Called Dealer is saying, he will send refund to Toyota Finance :-(
They will add a lot of hidden fees and will try to cheat you.

My wife and I traded in two cars in January this year, one paid off immediately and the second financed. When we were ready to payoff, we noticed unauthorized costs added. These could not be removed until last month (July) after several frustrating efforts. The outstanding cost still remains inexplicably high.
We won't return here.

Worst place to schedule your service.
I have always taken my car for service to Frederick Darcars. I moved recently to the area and decided to give it a try. Service was due for 40000 miles for my 2018 vehicle. Scheduling service was easy and same with dropping it off. They told me it would take around 45 minutes and if they found something else on the vehicle they would give me a call. I left and I receive a call 20 minutes later by them telling me that I needed tire replacements and the front break pads needed replacement too. The agent who helped me initially offered me to order the tires in advance for $800 dollars and told me that the break pads replacements would be $400. I decided to decline on the tires and awkwardly accept the break pads. After 10 minutes I called again to tell him I changed my mind however he was nowhere to be found, I called 3-4 time sin the lapse of one hour. Receptionist would tell me that they would give him the message right away. When he called me back he told me that it was already done and I had to pay for it, that he was sorry and he was on lunch when I called. I had to pay for the rotor resurface (which he never mentioned initially) and they placed back my old break pads. I felt scammed and frustrated the way things came out and I was able to speak to Nigel, he understood my situation and he offered me the break pads at a lower cost and no charged labor. I accepted and went in the next day. I personally met Nigel and he told me that the break pad replacements would take around 45 minutes. I waited there for 1 hour and I decided to see why was it taking so long for the replacement. When I talked to Mr. Lee at the servicing area he told me it would be 45 minutes. I told him what Nigel told me and how long I have been waiting and he said he is sorry, that the request for the break pads was just entered 30 minutes ago. I left walking since they don't even offer a shuttle.
Please save some time and money and don't use this dealership. If you want good service and real turn around times for your service, I would recommend Darcars in Frederick.
I was on my way to a different dealer when I stopped in just to look at their used cars. In any other scenario I would say someone who walked in wanting a used car and left with a brand new car got forced into by a pushy salesman... BUT that is NOT the case here. Ishmael Daho was awesome. Patiently took the time while I test drove countless cars in different years till I found the best fit. I was worried about financing a brand new car but Mr. Payam in the finance department got me a great deal. As a college senior with little to no credit I was expecting 7% or so but I walked out with 3.2%. Mr. Payam has all those awards on his desk for a reason!

I really regret buying my car here! They are the worst dealership, terrible customer service and they rip you off. I bought a used car from them more than a year ago, I traded it in because I notice a problem with it, that they of course denied. That trade in process was even worse. The car that I got had a big dent that they promised to fix, they did a terrible job repairing it. To top it off, a few months ago I received the emissions certificate to get my emissions test done. When I get to MVA emissions they didn't not want to do the test because the tags on my car did not match what was on the certificate. I did not know that until then. I went to MVA to see what was the problem. Well, the dealership never did the transfer on my tags when I did my trade in, I even asked them back then, if they were going to give me different tags and they said they just had to do a transfer. I was told at the MVA that the tags I had on didn't have a vehicle registered on!! I have pretty much been driving my car for over a year with no tags and it's all their fault!!! I had to get sub tags that day and had to pay for them too. After that, I went to the dealership to deal with that issue and all the sales manager did was take my name and phone number saying they will call me back, well 2 weeks later they still haven't called. I don't ever want to deal with them again!!

I usually despise car shopping,, so much uncertainty and b.s. ...But PJ and Oscar really helped make a good deal happen. I drove 2 hours to get the exact vehicle we wanted, and Oscar picked me up at the rental car shop, while PJ saved us thousands by recommending a 1.99% Toyota Financing loan product, on an outstanding Certified 2017 Sienna. Really, the Toyota Certified program is the only way to go, if your looking used; you get a really solid vehicle, with great peace of mind for a fraction of the cost of new. And Jacobo and Omar got the financing done quickly... DARCARS 355 is a well-oiled machine. I would recommend to perspective clients to do your homework first, know what you want, and trust the DARCARS team to make it happen.
Service here is terrible, don't waste your time. Had an 11AM appointment confirmed for a simple routine oil change, my mother took my car in and arrived an hour earlier and as soon as she walks in they tell her to sit down, she complied. Normally, everyone checks-in first, which is a line 2 ft from the front desk she approached. She has gotten oil changes at 355 before, she knows the routine but complied with the service rep. 2 Hours go by and asks if she can check in, they tell her to sit down again and they'll call her over. It is 2PM and she calls me upset because she has been there for 4 hours now and no update. i call them and ask what is the update and they tell me that there is a small issue but my care was JUST checked in, and the person servicing her was busy with a customer so he could not give me an update but she gave him a message to call me back. it is 3:30 when my mom calls to tell me her is finally done.. My appointments here have never taken more than an hour or 2.
I call the servicer around 5:30PM after no call back and i am told he is gone for the day and the woman at the front desk ask if i wanted to speak with his manager, which at this point, i was done. A couple minutes later, Richard is miraculously there and materializes a story where my mom was walking back and forth between the lobby and the front desk and they told her to "wait in line" but she never did. Seeing as how she often follows directions, and the "line" is literally 2 feet from the service desk, this is hard to believe. He then says she ended up TAKING THE CAR AND LEAVING BEFORE COMING BACK to finally stand in line. Why would anyone waiting for hours, take the keys, which are not accessible by the customers to leave then come back. He thereafter created a situation where he does not know what happened, blamed his colleagues and Holy Richard said he physically walked my mother to the line. He ultimately kept blaming the situation on my mother and avoided fault by deferring to say he asked her to walk 2 ft from his desk station and they did not comply. It is one thing to say a service took a long time but another come up with conflicting events! This lack of initiative and simple service is unacceptable. Not repeating this event ever again, this is pathetic. Richard from service, if you see this - you're useless.
I had a terrible experience at this establishment and would not recommend it to anyone. I spent my hard earned working money to only get terrible service from the MANAGERS (Jason, and Shelia) and no car. It feels as if they are running more of a scam than an actual business. If this is the type of representation coming from Toyota I would never spend another dollar with this company again and neither should anyone else. I would rate this place with NO stars if possible.

We have never once felt like we were being 'sold' anything - simply provided great service to keep our cars running great. How great? They've got 160k, 200k and 100k miles on them, respectively. I bought a car couple of months ago from Delmer since one of my family members referred me to him, I liked his service because he wasn t pushy at all, he gave me all the Information and I left for a couple of minutes to test his patience and he reacted normal and told me that he doesn t like pushing people, I like that from him and will continue doing and bringing deals with him!
Peter Huang sold us a used RAV4 yesterday. Because we live an hour away, we asked him to test drive and check the vehicle for us. He did and sent us pics of scratches and dents. When we arrived, the car was ready for our test drive. He worked fluidly and quickly to create a great deal and then sent us to financing where Omar Sharkawy worked his magic for a sound purchase.

This place is close to our home and we like the Toyota brand. We bought a Camry from them some years ago and the experience was terrible. We even had to deal with their Service department and it was terrbile too. Anyway that was many years ago and we have been buying Honda's ever since that bad experience. Well we are again looking at new cars and we thought we might give them another try. Afterall we didnt think they could still be in business without changing. Big mistake. Same pathetic place. If you speak english good luck because they dont and communication problems are inevitable. Wait and wait only to not get what you asked for or agreed to,. Wait some more. Pathetic!
