This place is amazing. They literally have anything you could want when in comes to computers and technology. I was blown away by the sheer amount of product they carry. I was going to buy all my PC parts for a new computer build on New Egg and then I decided to shop from home on Microcenters website and they beat NewEggs pricing. I asked to pick up in store and it was ready for pick up way sooner than I expected. Knowledgeable staff as well. The best part is the front end manager shook my hand after spending I spent $2100 on my new PC build and he said that he really appreciated me making my purchase with them. That is the kind of thing that will make me continue to shop there instead of an online retailer.

I did a vast ammount of research before building my pc on prices, and ended up just getting everything at microcenter. Their deals beat out newegg, amazon, and everyone else. Staff was very polite and helpful, why anyone would go anywhere else for computer parts is beyond me!!!!

Ignore the 90s signs with the old font. This place has A LOT of amazing tech deals, not just for laptops desktops and tablets, but for phones, audiovisual, and television equipment. Their staff is so knowledgeable. Their site to store pickup feature on their website is awesome. Better than Amazon. A+

My local supplier when I need any kind of tech stuff. From simple Flash Drives from anything I need to build my costumers desktops. I trust them and their staff know what they doing and what they talk about. If you have any question about technology these guys are there to help you!

Odd location but worth the trip. Visiting Microcenter always makes Best Buy feel like a fake electronics store. It's like a brick & mortar store for all the weird electronics miscellany you usually browse on Amazon. Staff is generally friendly, competent, and knowledge at this location too.

I ve purchased from Micro Center in the past, and been happy, as have many others have also. However, if you re looking at an open box, or refurbished item, they WILL NOT support you after the sale, and the DO NOT test the items. The box for the item I purchased had a receipt which demonstrated that they charged the previous purchaser of this TV for repairs, but it still doesn t work. Three questions come to mind; if they repaired it, why doesn't it work? And, why did they charge the previous customer, if the item was under warranty? And, if they knew there was a problem, why did they sell it again, without disclosing the problem, and selling the item for parts only?

I was assured that the item went through a "comprehensive quality check." I also purchased the extended service contract, with screen protection, because I was also told that the item was eligible for in-home service. The TV started having video problems within 24 hours of the purchase, and now there s sound, but ZERO picture.

I called the store the next day, and was on hold for 15+ minutes, but at that time I was unable to continue waiting for the best person to answer my question --- can we setup a time for in-home service? I get it; they were busy, which is good for them, and a minor inconvenience for the previous buyer---me.

So, I decided to use their online chat to discuss the problem. It took 29 minutes, the person could not locate the transaction, even with receipt data. Finally, the person told me that they will not honor in-home service until the manufacturer warranty expires, which is absolutely NOT what I was told at the store.

All I m asking, is that they honor their agreement, and service the item as promised at the time of sale. Nothing more, and nothing less. If they don't want to do that, they can pick this item up, and deliver another one that works. I'm not willing to cart this thing up and down stairs again, and across town in a Lyft, to go through the same process. So, I ll happily pay a reasonable delivery charge, provided that they agree to honor what they promise this time, which is questionable at this point, as I believe any reasonable person would agree.

The only place within 100 miles where you can actually buy quality computer and electronic components in person. A great reminder of why brick & mortar shops are still vital for any true techie. The place is huge & they carry virtually every piece of tech currently for sale in the US

Great place to shop, browse or just get your nerd on. Just be wary of the angry vegan soccer moms in the parking lot (they share a lot with Trader Joe s)

My laptop fell and broke pretty badly on the street and even got water damage a couple of weeks ago. As usual I tried to make an appointment with the Apple store in Boylston st and they were completely booked for like 6 days or so. I went online and Micro Center was listed as one fo the places that accepts Apple Care. I made an appointment for that very same day. I got to micro center and the manager from the repair section was absolutely wonderful. He assured me that my laptop was going to be returned to me as soon as possible (this being super important to me since I am a student and need it for classes). I was told the laptop was going to be fixed and returned in 7-10 business days due to the extensive damage. I swear that they called me about 3 business days later and told me that my laptop was ready for pickup. When I saw it it looked brand new. All the scratches and bumps gone, they even fixed the keyboard and the screen looked like new. I even thought that they had given me a new laptop but after inspecting it, the serial number was the same as mine. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!

You don't come here because you want the rock bottom price. You come here because you need it now, or you need to talk to some other geeks before making a decision. Service is always good, and best of all they have stuff for students to engineers. General consumers to hard core DIY PC builds.

Micro Center handled my order pretty irresponsibly during COVID-19 situation. First of all, regardless their promise to limit the number of clients, there were a lot of people inside, not all off them wearing masks. Parking lot is almost full. Secondly, they confirmed that my online order is fully ready for pickup, when I arrived they told me they couldn't find one item. This is really bad considering I would've cancelled the whole trip in a first place to avoid any exposure if I had known. This is very bad, I'm disappointed.

I guess I was supposed to write this review a year ago when I bought the product. I live in Miami, and visit my grandparents in Boston once a year. Last time I visited my grandparents, I was shopping around for an ssd drive for my Grandfather's birthday. The service in the store was superb, and the price for a 120gb ssd was $40, (this was last year) which was a really good deal. My grandfather loved the speed of his new hard drive. When I come back up to Boston in two weeks, I will be visiting to pick up a gtx 1070 for my personal computer. Thank you again for a great shopping experience. Please open a store in Miami, we do not have any stores where you can buy the same survice and selection that you have.

I bought their powerspec (microcenter for desktop). The sound card was defective on first day of booting up. I tried multiple things such as install new drivers, test with different outputs ie speakers, headphones, monitors with speakers, and adjust settings on sound through control panel. All of which did not help. They gave me a hard time of exchanging the item. Will not shop here again

I purchased a Dell XPS in January of 2020 with a Dell Pro Support Plan for nearly 25% of the cost of the computer. Microcenter did not file the support plan with Dell properly so my laptop does not have the coverage I paid for.

I have contacted them almost a dozen times on the phone, through text, and online chat over the past 8 months. They continually acknowledge the issue and claim someone will contact me but then no one ever follows up to get it resolved. I live almost 3 hours away from the store now and I think I am going to have to drive all that in person just to get the product that I already paid for.

Take your business elsewhere these people are thieves.

Bought everything for my PC. Salesman did't know his stuff and was annoying. He desperately wanted me to spend more while i had a budget. Some of the things there are overpriced compared to amazon. They need to update their pc cases and cpu coolers. Maybe Phanteks and Cryorig?

Overall very good. I received a price match for the GPU(manager said the newegg price was ridiculous but reluctantly price matched) but was denied a mark down for the ram sticks. I asked for the open box ram but the employee had to do something and forgot to hand it to me. I told the cashier about this and he said he could get the same model and mark it down because the open boxed one was bought already. But the manager didn't allow the mark down for the ram.

I enjoy the selection of product for sure. The staff are mostly very nice. The lack of obvious dress code and obvious commission sales is a tad annoying. The experience I had there today was totally good. These are just general issues I find with the entire company.

If you need computer parts or accessories, this is the place. They often have better prices than the manufacturer websites, and the people working here actually understand computers. I was buying a SSD and RAM upgrade for my Mac and they explained that Mac RAM is slightly slower so they showed me my options at various price points and explained the differences.
