I'm from the uk and man do I wish we had something like micro centre over here. Great prices it so cool to just fill up a trolley as you go around the store with a complete desktop build.

The staff seemed knowledgeable for the most part but if you're shopping for parts for a build here you probably know more than some of them. They were not too pushy and they have a great selection of parts and diy electronics like pis and arduinos. Store could use some updating though.

They have it all, computer,office and DIY electronics. Great deals on refurbished Apple tablets and phones. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of selection not just one or two items like at the big box stores. No fuss two week return policy.

Online inventory is frequently wrong on high demand items. Staff are poorly trained on social distancing and press too close to customers to try to get commission points.

Always have what we need , will match Amazon prices.

Had my computer in for service technician thought my video card and motherboard maybe shot ended up buying a new computer and monitor. Got it all home decided to try to plug up the old computer with a HDMI cord period ended up working had to do some minor work but it came back to life. I call Micro Center they said bring the computer back I return a computer the next day got 100% return on everything I bought without blinking and I took less than 5 minutes great service

The employees are experts in the fields they cover. Often times i have seen MIT IT staff working here as a second job so their ability to attract talent is impressive. Their prices and selections are competitive and theyll price match everyone so i just get everything here.

Unreal... Not only are they impossible to reach by phone... but when I was in store and put my laptop in for data extraction they said it would take 2-3 days... 3 weeks later Im trying to contact them to check in and they inform me that my order is ready.... One of our Board members offered to pay for the service and we asked if he could make the payment online or on the phone they said YES... Then I went to the store to retrieve the data and purchase a new laptop and other stuff... They then informed me that we can not make payments over the phone... I said ok.... I then went to the computer section to pick out a machine... I stood in a 6' squared section looking for help for more than 25 mins before... I then went online to their live chat to document my dissatisfaction, they tried to contact the store with no success... I waited another 10 minutes or so as I watched 3 people receive help before I did.... The only thing that separated me from the other customers was the color of our skin...! By far the worst... after 10+years of patronizing this store... I will never give them another dime of my money... When I voiced my frustrations with the manager he became aggressive with his staff.... and told me he will check the video.... and talk to the service desk staff.... (BS) If my youth program di not need this merchandise in the time that we did, I would have just left the store... Now I feel unwelcomed and totally disrespected by MicroCenter.... Great way to treat volunteer youth workers!

Micro center is the go-to place for computer hardware and related goods in the Boston area. Think Frys if you are a west-coaster. Great selection and good prices, with actually helpful and competent staff. No other retailer comes even close to their selection in Massachusetts.

Micro Center in Cambridge always has everything I need on the spot and more. Staff is knowledgeable and selection is always good. Shout out to Leon for being super friendly and helpful when I was picking up a specific laptop, letting me demo it, and answering all of my questions. 100% recommend this store.

I was extremely excited to go to Micro Center because of reading all the good review and how many parts they had, and it lived up to the hype. Amazing store to buy any PC part(s). They have great deals, a huge selection, and extremely helpful staff. Definitely will be going back in the future!

They have a salesman named Serg in the laptop section. I've bought five machines off him in the last ten years. All very budget minded machines. He always treated me like I was buying a million dollar machine and not trying to squeeze every cent it off the few bucks ii really had

Don't come here for an Apple appointment. They don't honor them at all, and you're just showing up for first-come first-serve treatment. There was an hour long line when I got here. A complete waste of time, and both Apple and Microcenter are to blame for tricking the user into thinking they have an actual appointment. The Microcenter employee was dismissive and indifferent to this crappy customer service.

Many gaming products, good store for building your own PC

It is nerd heaven and you get to talk to people and know and understand what they are selling. Much better than the competition.

Purchased a 55" with extended warranty and onsite service tv Bluetooth, wifi and keyboard would not work. called for onsite service left messages for manager Arsen Askayan and tech support Chuck would never return calls called again today 3/23/15 they had no managers on staff and said support manager Chuck would have to return my calls there was nothing he (Conner) could do to help me. I would have to take the TV to the Cambridge store (over 1 hour away) despite the fact we purchased the onsite warranty. Will never do business with micro-center again. Amazon all the way from now on...You try to support local business and this is what happens.

Only local retailer of reasonably priced electronics and Bawls energy drinks.

This is one of the best places, either a physical location or on the internet, to get your computing and nerd fixations met. They have a huge floor space of products that you usually only see listed on a computer screen... and they are right in front of you!! The prices are generally on point with other retailers like newegg, and you can usually find a great deal on items also.

The only thing I don't like is how the staff operates. If someone helps you with a product and then they help someone else, you don't get their sticker. They work on commission. So if the first person helps you and they are now tied up with another customer, another associate just comes by and slaps their sticker on it. This has happened a few times. If that associate doesn't help me, I simply remove their sticker so they don't get credit for the sale. (I think I'm understanding this correctly, but I could be mistaken)

Other than that, staff is always helpful in finding what you want. Also a tip, if you have a specific product in mind, write down the six digit SKU number... it will save TONS of time :)

Cheap, decent electronics. UNBELIEVABLE GEEK ADVISORS IN REPAIR SHOP. Try here before Best Buy. Anyone who posts photos of the creators of software programs (women too!) on the walls of their store has to have something cool going on.

Bad experience with waiting in line for the hottest tech and not getting what I was looking for. That isn't what I'm upset about because I know they dont manufacture the products.

My problem is finding out a couple hours after opening they received a ups shipment of new stock and the people who waited hours in the cold aren't notified. Its laziness on behalf of management to not let the first 10 or so leave name, number, and product we are seeking for that day only. Other stores are doing this. This stores management rather stand around talking to coworkers instead of taking care of their customers. I'm sticking with newegg and amazon for good. At least it's fair online.

My son is a tech geek and he said this place is majestic. They have everything you need to build a computer system of any type. Also general office supplies. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They seemed to be interested in getting you what you truly need versus steering you to the most expensive options.

Ah micro center. Every time i go to micro center i make sure to bring a limited amount of money. that I m willing to spend because they have just about everything I could ever want. I m a big fan of the micro controller section, but you ll find tons of computer parts from networking to mouse pads. I love microcenter

I visited Micro Center the other day when my PC wouldn't power up and a new power supply didn't solve the issue. I was told it was a dead motherboard so off I went to get a new build. M. Joseph (I forget his first name, just have the name on the receipt) helped me out picking some new parts. I wanted to reuse my old drives and GPU since they still worked. I could tell he wanted to make sure I was getting the right build and that he cared about my experience since he wasn't pushing anything. I was even thinking of getting a CPU cooler and he told me not to bother since the Ryzen stock cooler is great. A rare thing to see in sales people but definitely something appreciative. He really listened to what I had to say and I could tell he was helping me build the computer that I wanted to build, not pushing something to boost his sales. He was very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful with a great attitude to boot.

I went home and admittedly screwed up. Long story short, I got some thermal paste in the CPU socket. I brought it in to be diagnosed and at that point to be built for me. Vilson Gjeci helped me in the repair department and I don't think I've ever met anyone with a better attitude. I went in stressed and nervous that I may have already ruined my mother board before I even put power to it and his genuine enthusiasm had me leave with a smile on my face. He told me there's no guarantee that he could save anything and that it'd take a few days to build. I got a call the next day saying everything works fine, he was able to clean up the excess paste, it was built with Windows and drivers all installed.

I needed to grab one more part and was exhausted after a long day. My salesperson from a few nights ago saw me and stopped me to ask how the build went. I didn't even notice him since I was so distracted, he could have ignored me and carried on with his day but he didn't, he made the effort to make sure I was all set. A small gesture but that kind of thing goes a long way. Micro Center has won a customer today. I'll be grabbing a new GPU in the upcoming months, I'll definitely be heading back to Micro Center to pick one up.

Best place to to buy electronics, variety of collection, cheaper price & very good service.

Non-aggressive sales associates who know a lot about the products. Very broad stock of tech stuff and accessories.

Apple recommended to come here for repairs. I scheduled a service on their website, where it says they do iPhone repairs. When I arrive, they say they don't do iPhone repairs and blame Apple, even though it says on the Micro Center website they do the repairs.. Terrible.

I unfortunately have to say that this place is horrible. I went to MicroCenter instead of a superstore like Best Buy with the hopes that they would have better and more personable customer service reps and could cater more to individual needs. When I bought my laptop almost a year ago, the associate acted as if I was a bother to even come in and shop for technology. He was not very helpful with the purchase and didn't tell me anything more than what I could have read on the sales labels myself. So, I ended up with a laptop that I don't even really like.

Almost a year later, my batter died and I went in to order a new one on a Sunday afternoon. I was in line for about 15 minutes and then was finally able to order my battery. The associate told me that it would come in withing 3-5 business days. I left with no receipt or order number.

After the 5 day mark, I tried calling the store repeatedly--no answer, no return called after a voice mail. After a week I went in, only to be told that my delivery was postponed due to weather problems. Really?

It's been THREE WEEKS, and I have yet to receive my battery. A sales associate said the manager was going to call me about the problem, never did. Everyone is better off just going to Best Buy or any other computer store besides this one. They are horrible.

I have observed this place towing the cars out of their parking lot on the 4th of July during the Boston Fireworks display. They have done it for more than one year as well. Until they put a stop to this completely unreasonable and unpatriotic practice, I can no longer shop there, and I would encourage other people to follow this lead.
