I ve purchased from Micro Center in the past, and been happy, as have many others have also. However, if you re looking at an open box, or refurbished item, they WILL NOT support you after the sale, and the DO NOT test the items. The box for the item I purchased had a receipt which demonstrated that they charged the previous purchaser of this TV for repairs, but it still doesn t work. Three questions come to mind; if they repaired it, why doesn't it work? And, why did they charge the previous customer, if the item was under warranty? And, if they knew there was a problem, why did they sell it again, without disclosing the problem, and selling the item for parts only?

I was assured that the item went through a "comprehensive quality check." I also purchased the extended service contract, with screen protection, because I was also told that the item was eligible for in-home service. The TV started having video problems within 24 hours of the purchase, and now there s sound, but ZERO picture.

I called the store the next day, and was on hold for 15+ minutes, but at that time I was unable to continue waiting for the best person to answer my question --- can we setup a time for in-home service? I get it; they were busy, which is good for them, and a minor inconvenience for the previous buyer---me.

So, I decided to use their online chat to discuss the problem. It took 29 minutes, the person could not locate the transaction, even with receipt data. Finally, the person told me that they will not honor in-home service until the manufacturer warranty expires, which is absolutely NOT what I was told at the store.

All I m asking, is that they honor their agreement, and service the item as promised at the time of sale. Nothing more, and nothing less. If they don't want to do that, they can pick this item up, and deliver another one that works. I'm not willing to cart this thing up and down stairs again, and across town in a Lyft, to go through the same process. So, I ll happily pay a reasonable delivery charge, provided that they agree to honor what they promise this time, which is questionable at this point, as I believe any reasonable person would agree.
