I have been to this restaurant many times and have yet to be anything but extremely pleased. The staff is friendly and accommodating to my every need with great service and even better food. I have been to other indian restaurants from all around and never find the quality and experience that bangles provide. I love how authentic everything about bangles and make a point to visit at least once a month. I want to thank them for everything and hope to see you again soon.

Best Indian food in Chester County. Love their lunch buffet.
Excellent! We Love this place. We have eaten here many times and have sampled most of their menu. The first time we ate here, we were blown away. We had never had Indian food like this before. The flavors were (paradoxically) intense, subtle, and ultimately satisfying. We have had northern Indian food before and are not afraid of spicy (vindaloo, phaal). This is southern Indian food and it is not as heavy or overbearing. The flavors are intense, tangy, and delightful. Our favorite dishes are: masala calamari, kozhi milagu saaru, mango habanero dosa, saag chicken, goat biryani, lamb pepper fry, madras fish curry. All their dishes are tangy, fragrant, and eye-wateringly flavorful. Their lunch buffet is a good sampling of their offerings. The buffet is not as spicy as their dinners, but still delicious.
Love their samosa chaat ,malai kofta .You have to wait 20-25 minutes for each entree you order . just keep on waiting ......
Absolutely the best Indian food I ve had! When the entrees were brought to the table, I was impressed with the presentation...and the taste lived up to the look. It was practically an orgasmic experience. Highly recommend! If I could give more stars, I would.
Awesome ambience and super friendly service. The food was crisp and yummy. Will definitely recommend this spot to anyone. Reasonable rates and generous meals. Great work.
Super fancy looking and busy place for a delicious lunch buffet with meat and veggie options. It's a great deal, but gets busy during lunch. Make sure to show up earlier or there if a line at the buffet.
We live about an hour away, and plan to come back every few months. Some of the best Indian food I have ever had. Lunch buffet had a large assortment. Staff was great. Would highly recommend.
Very nice ambience!! Delicious Indian cuisine with gud hospitality!!! Highly recommended restaurant for those who like yummy South Indian food .
We ordered the Tandoori Seekh Kebabs. Very bad, dry, tasteless and a mush of meat which was strange. Our experience on 7/6/2018, was dreadful. Avoid.
We were served with papad and chutney to begin with which was delicious..the chilli panner was horrible and dosa was worse.. the chutney and sambar had no taste at all..mango lassi was diluted ..
I have tried to call them 4 times today to order carry out they don t answer the phone guess they must not need the business.
Good food, excellent service, nice environment. We came here for dinner and the place did not disappoint. Will certainly come back again. Better option for Indian food in the exton / Downingtown area.
I like spicy Indian. This place does not disappoint!!
We went for lunch buffet it was Such a pathetic experience, pathetic service, pathetic food actually spoiled our day
Unique Indian styled luxury restaurant in Downingtown area, right beside Bestbuy. Food is good and service is perfect. Will visit here again!
The food is the best in the 30 mile radius! Biryani is awesome.. Just the cuisine and the presentation.. Exquisite !
Tasty food ambiance very good they have banquet hall for party also
Great food with royal ambience. Though buffet is not good because number of items are very less compared to other Indian buffet.
Visited couple of times but the restaurant closes 30min before the official timing. The management should display the last dine-in order timing correctly! Strongly recommend calling ahead of time. Otherwise food is very tasty
Great Indian food n good ambience n nobody won't feels as an Indian in USA
Fantastic food, welcoming employees, constantly great atmosphere. They charge fair prices and the food quality is excellent. Kudos.
Worst Indian Restaurant Ever, I went for Buffet for couple of times during weekdays and the Dishes were empty and had to wait for them to refill, minimum varieties. Even after complaining there are no one to take care of it. My suggestion is not to be there during weekdays.
Terrible. We called in a takeout order at 5:30 and were told it would be ready by 6:15. We arrived at 6:20 and it turns out our order was never entered. They didn't tell us though and asked us to sit as our order would be up in a minute. After waiting for 20 minutes, my husband asked when it would be ready and we were told 30 more minutes. Then it became clear the order was never entered. They ran back to the kitchen and decided to give us someone else's order and said we'd be ready in 5 minutes. We waited another 10 before they came out with our food. They apologized but never offered any sort of discount or refund for having to wait until 6:50 to get our food when we ordered it at 5:30 which is what you do in the restaurant industry in this situation. We had a toddler waiting with us which made it even more frustrating. Finally after returning home with our order, we realized they didn't give us our rice. We will never go back to this restaurant again.
I was skeptical due to avg reviews. But the South Indian food was amazing! I had idli and vada.
This place is not recommended for the good quality of food.
It is not what it used to be. Don't waste your money. There are plenty good options. Avoid bangles. I wish i can give zero. Look at the photo, it looks like he is serving stale food
Food is amazing, comfortable atmosphere, good service. Menu has a great variety - not overly broad, which I personally prefer since it likely means they focus on being good at a core set of offerings and are not trying to be ok at everything just to broaden their clientele! While not a huge menu, it is interesting and diverse, has plenty of offerings, and helpful descriptions. Vegetarians and meat lover's alike will be happy. This is the 2nd time I've had their food. 1st was take out with a friend. This time my son and I dined there. Both times, each dish was prepared perfectly and portions were generous. Eating in allows for better presentation of the food and service was quick and friendly. I love that you are not rushed and our server actually encouraged us to savor and take our time. It was a bit chilly inside the dining area. I'm not sure if that is how it normally is or because it was an unseasonably cool abd drizzly evening...but I will definitely bring a sweater or cover next time just in case. However, the chill would not deter me from returning (or my son...he loved it too). We will definitely be back!
Food tasted great. The dishes didn't have as many chicken pieces as most other places serve. extremely slow service.
It's one of the few upscale indian places in the suburbs, and they accomplished what they set out to do. The ambience is quite nice, dim lighting and it's byob. The presentation of the food is great and the portions are generous, but barring the south indian items (read dosa, vada), the taste is hit and miss. A particular favourite of mine is the mango habanero dosa. One thing to take note is that the delivery of food is extremely slow (about 30 min wait even for the first course). The staff is nice and courteous, but it's painfully obvious that the restaurant is understaffed. I have been here about 5 times and the service has always been slow. The rating would improve quite a lot IF they get better in that aspect. Overall, a place worth visiting once, only if you don't mind waiting a while for your food. A solid 3.5.
Way overpriced. There are other Indian restaurants available in and around this area for a much better price.
Food is nice but I found it little costly as compared to other Indian restaurants
I need to try more Indian around the area to see how bangles compares to others around the area. But it was pretty good last time I was there.
Fabulous restaurant! Great food, amazing ambiance, perfect for a night out. The lunch buffet is great, too!
One of the best indian restaurants I have ever been to. The attention to detail in the dishes is incomparable. Try the saag chicken and the malai chicken including the Naans and lacha paratha. You won't be disappointed
So, I ve had Indian in India, I ve had Indian in at least 20 places in London, I ve had Indian in dozens of places in the US. These people are seriously good. The chicken Chettiand mad me try desperately to find a recipe to replicate it. If you re serious about Indian food, you gotta check these guys out.
Great Indian food at a fair price. The lunch buffet is a great value! Amazing experience from start to finish! The food was tasty and the staff was very helpful and friendly!!
Worst Buffet Experience Ever! Not worth for the money you pay. Its not fancy ambient space but its quality and customer service that matter most. Took buffet for two. No options at all for vegeterian. Later we tried to order something from menu but they have none available except dosa. We ended up paying $17/ buffet and left empty stomach. I don't recommend this restaurant for buffet. Especially during weekend customer service is worst. It used to be very good restaurant once but not now.
travelling an hour, so I can munch on their buffet spread. This is no doubt one of the good places to try Indian.
This place has steadily declined in the last year with respect to food quality and customer service. Take out wait time is 1 hour and the food spicing level is very inconsistent each time. Our Naan was hard as a rock and inedible as was the Vegetable Buriyani bc the spice was over the top hot. Murg Makni is heavy on the sauce, light on the chicken. We've dined in as well and they struggle to seat customers and attentively take orders and deliver food. I don't know how they are still open.
On the higher end with respect to price, but good quality food.
Horrible service. Went to Bangles for fri lunch buffet. They couldn t keep up with amount of people. Buffet didn t have enough food. There were only 2 servers and probably 1 chef in the kitchen. There was no manager. Poor guy he has to listen to everyone complaining about no food. I told the guy that we are sorry I can not pay $17 for no food that we ate. This was the second time it happened. Last time we went was Jan 1st . The server was telling us sorry chef is tiered because there was a party last night. But today I couldn t take it. We had to walk out. First time in my life I walked out of the restaurant.
We tried the buffet here and being vegetarians, I must say I liked the lemon rasam, medu vada, and palak kootu of the twelve dishes or so.
For $18 for a weekend buffet. Never going to Bangles again. Very disappointed could not eat most food in the buffet it was stone cold. Paneer gravy was too sour and paneer was very hard had to cut it with a knife. Dum ka chicken was very bland. The Manchurian and noodles were super sweet and super cold. If it was possible to give stars in negative I'd have given it -5
Service is awful. I have to wait 20 min to get the nan. they also very careless in refilling food, you have to ask them for each item and these people take hell of a time to get the food from kitchen. I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. Very less option for the Vegi people. only one appetizer and very cheap desert not worth it for $17. They have to come up with good service and extra staff so customer get what they paid for.
I usually don t post reviews, today I had no option. I would not recommend anyone to this restaurant. We dint like the food taste and very limited items in menu. We reached by 2.30pm and most of the food was over. We payed money n returned with half filled stomach .
Amazing food with with a very reasonable price. Would definitely go again!!
Had been to a friend's b'day party. Though booked in advance after some miscommunication they gave us banquet hall and we had the normal buffet priced at 15 dollars but were charged whooping 800 dollars. The only extra we ordered was 4 bottles of sprite and coke. They charged us for a group of 35 people when we were hardly 15. A clean fleecing restuarant that has no clear cut policies. They have a compulsary gratiuity of 18%too. Other places usually have fixed price for banquet hall or no price when people order food from their own restuarant. These people cheat. There was no extra service nor the food was served inside the hall. I would never recommend anyone to make the same mistakes our party made. Please stay off this place
Nice decor. Earnest, if under trained, staff. Lunch buffet ample, but lacking in the deep and diverse flavors I associate with the various regions if Indian cuisine. The only beverage offered with the buffet was ice water, and only one dessert was offered. The biriyani on the menu at $17 contained very few pieces of meat. They need to pick up their game if they want to live up to their website description of "upscale Indian restaurant."
Staff was great at explaining what everything was and even what part of India the dish was from. The food was really good and had a little heat to it. Great place for lunch buffet.
Pretty good Indian buffet. They have unique dishes. Perfect for lunch.
My wife and I go to Bangles often for dinner. Love the ambiance and the food never disappoints!
very poor for the buffet. they never have food on table ready. food does taste good however they need better management.
We had Bangles cater our pre-wedding party and got so many rave reviews from our guests, especially the Indian guests, on the tastiness of the food. Our guests wanted to take the leftovers home! I had not eaten at the restaurant before hand so I was so pleasantly surprised and happy about our choice after hearing all the unsolicited compliments from our guests. They have a reasonably priced catering menu, and worked with me to customize it to our needs. I will certainly choose them again the next time I need an event catered in the Exton/West Chester area.
We are done ordering from Bangles. Subpar food and service the last few months. Now my husband just tried to order something he has before and the man said he cant substitute rice for paratha which he has as recently as 2 weeks ago. After reading the other reviews, now I see why it is less busy. Used to be fantastic. They have gone downhill and don't care anymore.
I ve eaten here several times. Excellent food and excellent service.
If you are looking for Hyderabad Biryani, this is NOT the place to go. We liked Gobi Manchurian during our last take out so ordered 2 Gobi Manchurian as we are expecting a guest. We ordered 45 mins earlier as we wanted it hot. Surprised to see soo less quantity. Looks like one Gobi Manchurian is being split into two boxes. When I said the same and showed the box to cashier(the person available there), I was told that is the quantity they give(even after saying that it was way more during last take out). Added pics, this is not the quantity you expect for $10 each. Bad experience!!Unexpected response..
Nice ambiance; Tasty food; Great service. If you wanna authentic south Indian food, Bangles is the only choice in this area. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. Chefs Arivalagan, Dinesh, Sempian are real experts.
Never go to buffet menu or arrange any of your personal event at bangles .. it is total waste of money .. they never had enough food in any of their trays .. we always had to ask for more food, rotis never served, and even water.. when asked to fill the trays, they came back with totally different dish and didn't taste good at all.. no management, no courtesy .. and they kept welcoming guests even if they had no good left .. total cheating and looting .. I arranged one of my event and my guests always had to wait for food because trays were empty and some of my guests left without any food .. so embarrassing ..
Extremely friendly service made for a great experience for complete Indian food beginners. Very accommodating with levels of spice. We'll go back!
My family has eaten at bangles several times over the years, and it has never disappointed us. The food is delicious and the staff are wonderful. Highly recommend!
Excellent lunch buffet - fresh food, good variety and very tasty!
Fabulous restaurant! Great food, amazing ambiance, The lunch buffet is great for veg and non veg . I will be back soon .
I like the ambiance and everybody who work here are very generous and welcoming. The food is tasty and delicious. It's really difficult to find a good Indian place fulfilling all the needs. This would be my first Indian place where I crave for it's food. I hope they keep up the good work.
Try the somosas, Garlic nan, and Egg curry!!! You will not regret it...
Great place for delicious Indian food with a great atmosphere. Also their private events room is large and beautiful. Used it for an event and had a great time working with the owners in arranging everything. Great friendly owners, great food. Definitely recommend this place.
Food deviates slightly from your typical US Indian restaurant but is done very well. Nice to see dosa on the menu. One thing to note is that ven though main dishes are listed as entrees, they are still served family style.
I like so much. Food quality is awesome. It gives me feeling of home. Stafs are very dedicated. Just wonderful to be around. I would come come here even if I am 10 miles away. Simply awesome.thanks bangle for serving Indian foods. Good job.
Food is fresh and delicious! Decor is upscale. Buffet had a lot to choose from.
Good food... better than other Indian restaurant s in area.
Food is good. Welcome item is papad with some chutney. Till your order comes, you can fill your tummy with the papad. First time I tried Idly, Butter Naan with Kadai Vegetable. Taste was good but not delicious. Hyderabad Chicken Biriyani was good. Quantity was more. Second time tried Paper Masala dosa. As name says it should be very thin where as the dosa was not that much thin as we get in India. It was big size but kind of Special dosa type from India. Goat Biriyani was good. Fish Finger Fry tastes good. Saag Chicken is not that good. It was less with chicken and more with Spinach. Nice place to enjoy with family. We've buffet option available only in lunch times. Serving time is more here as they've less staff to serve. We waited more than half an hour after giving the order. Staff was polite and tried their level best to make customer happy. Suggested gratuity minimum is 15% and the options are 15%, 18% and 20% of sale. I hope this is too much. They've only two seperate restroom for Men and women. Both of them can be occupied by only one person at a time. So we need to wait for our turn to use the same. What ever food is remain, you can take it to your home. They will provide boxes.
Went on Saturday evening for dinner around 6:45 pm. Placed the order by 7 and we had to wait till 8:15 for our food to get to our tables. Its just not us. All the folks are just waiting there for food. Not to mention, some of them have months old babies that are just sitting there waiting for food. The order in which the food was delivered was pathetic as well. The appetizers and Naans arrived when we were almost done eating dinner in our APPETIZER plates. No clue what they were doing and there are hardly 5 tables that were filled. Not going back :(
Pathetic communication on time delay with no regard for people waiting. 1 hour 15 mins for 3 food items. Was told 20 minutes when I first walked in. Very bad management.
The Service is below par, and food quality is now going down under! Better Wakeup before you have to Shutdown.
Really great tasting food. The food is definitely worth the price. Very good customer service and great ambience.
Very good buffet for both Veg and non-Veg. Servers are very friendly
I've eaten at Bangles twice. Once with my husband and once with a large group. Both times the food was fantastic, and very large servings. When it was just 2 of us the service was fantastic. The food came quickly and our waitress was attentive. When I was there in a group of 15 or more we waited a very long time to order, for drink refills and for our food to come. It's a very nice, spacious place, but I wouldn't recommend it for a large party.
