The worst experience really went from being a good hospital to a trash, if you want to see a doctor for at least 8 hours. Apart from what you expect to enter this is exaggerated doctors and doctors are nothing professional. Too bad they treat people who seek your help that way ......
Horrible hospital...3444 Kossuth ave bx ny...adult medicine & children doctors are distant and the ones that do show some knowledge are know it alls. Years seeing the same doctor and can still walk pass myself & my kids in hallways, blow off a clearly seen skin irritation it's so dumb and it's comical to stay at a place who runs a business not quality medical care.
The children's hospital is the BEST. The staff treat you with lots of respect n help your child to the fullest

This hospital is bad condition and it s hot and no cold air that s how bacteria grows when it s hot in a hospital. If the weather is hot or cold it still needs to be cold because of bacteria.i didnt want my husband staying there in a hot place how he was the staff did not do nothing about the situation.
The worst emergency room ever!! Poor, poor, service. I had to leave because no one told me who my nurse was, or what was going to get done on me. After 2 and 1/2 hours!!!! They told me they needed blood work. Mind you, their emergency room was empty. Nurses was just sitting at the desk, others was chatting. It was horrible.

Worst experience ever. I understand working in ER could be very stressful and you have to deal with a lot of people. With that said the staff show no professional attitude or attention to their patients. People are packed in there like sardines thank gif there was no fire. I can take the look g wait for doctors and cat scans but to have to scream for a nurse to come help cause my pain was a 10 or cause I needed water and to have other nurses say you have to get yours and then walk away is not right. I was in there from 11 am to 3 am waiting for a bed, took a nap around midnight woke up and had to go to bathroom almost in my pants. Screamed for shot a nurse , other patients heard and had to get someone to help. When walking to bathroom I saw 4 workers standing behind desk talked my and laughing. Will never come back to this ER again.
Adult emergency room is awful. The staff speaks to patients in a very unprofessional manner. The triage nurse knew I was in a wheelchair and couldn t move; they called my name and no one came to help escort me. I had to sit there and wait for my brother to come and wheel me in. Very bad experience. I should ve just went to white plains hospital.
Horrible is putting it lightly. The er is tremendously understaffed and the staff there are overwhelmed and uncaring for the folks in the gurneys crying and begging for help. 100 unacceptable and disgusting
It takes a very long time, any blood work or CT or x rays, I was there for about 6 hours, but nurses are super nice and helpful

If you want to die - go there. Dirty, lack of good specialists (for many health problems), formal care for the patients. The toilets are old and uncomfortable. Unqualified students are all around the ER. Lack of privacy for the patients, when the staff speaks with the patient, everybody can hear the conversation through the curtains .... Difficulties with the parking, bad menagement ... Not what we expected from Montefiore hospital. Shameful for a American hospital, located in NYC.

Such a shame. This ER used to be a cut above the rest. Now it s a pure joke. Staff is nasty. Doctors are overworked and outright cold. Nurses are jaded and actively ignore patients. I walked out and went to NYP/WC for my injuries. I had several hematomas on my head, and was hit in the stomach several times. I was left to lie in a bed for several hours until my pain and frustration just couldn t allow me to sit and idle anymore. I asked for a patient experience liaison and she as handed a customer service card. Receptionists were on their phone complaining about the computers being down. Nurses and tech were not changing their gloves in between patients. One nurse scratched his nose and eye with a gloved hand and then went and drew someone s blood with the same set of gloves on. I finally decided to speak up. My pain was numbed out by my frustration and anxiety from being ignored and overlooked. That s when the nurse that was assigned to me and a doctor came over. All their apathetic excuses were met with my sheer anger. Downtime is not a joke. You have staff that are lazy and aren t working, your nurses are overworked and angry. You don t ha e enough doctors to meet your needs. I got assaulted by my 16 year old son. My head injuries are blinding me with pain and no one can come and tell me anything besides you have two people ahead of you ???? All I got was silence from them. I went to NYP/WC AND I DONT REGRET IT. ILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.
i don think that a person that goes to the emergency room with pain or any other issue should wait 4hours to be seeing by a doctor. is really sad that you dont know what to do anymore is better if you stay home and wit for the next day to see your head doctor
Worst ever. They had my 3 week old waiting 30 minutes without even taking her vitals telling me she had to wait even though it was an emergency. I Left went to north central and got seen immediately. I'll never step foot here again.

It s been a while since I have not been to this emergency room. Compare to how they were before and how they are now it s a big difference.. everyone was nice the beds were nicely organized my nurse kourtney was amazing and doctor freeman they were on top of there patient all the time. I am pleased and happy with how I was treated.
They were so rude on the phone! As if I was bothering them or something plus they put me on hold and transferred me without even telling me. People are experiencing severe pain and need help. You guys are the worst!
Worst experience of my life. Went into the ER 16 weeks pregnant was feeling lightheaded suffering from severe headache, blurred vision and dizziness. I did not receive a bed in the ER. They gave me an IV while in a seat with lots of people crowding around me. The lady right next to me had the flu and no face mask. The conditions were horrible it was like a zoo with nowhere to even sit. One lady was very nice to me because she just had a baby herself so she tried her best to make sure I was comfortable by giving me sandwiches and juice. Other than that I would never return there again.
I would of give a NO STAR, I been waiting here for like HOURS, I m not talking about 1 or 2 hours I m talking about more than 5 hours with pain on my left feet and I have seem people who had got here after me taken them first. I feel that someone with pain shouldn t wait so long.
Honestly don t come here for the adult emergency room. You could be dying and all they want to do is have you hooked up to IV meds and sit in a chair. Always crowded with no beds. The staff are always chatting in their chairs. Just plain horrible service. If I can give no stars I would. I had to find out in a different location I had a cyst that needed removal.
If I could give negative zero stars I would. Currently typing this review up while still waiting for my ten year old to be seen. Was triaged at 2:00 it is now 4:35 and we are still waiting. The er was empty upon our arrival and it is now full. Meanwhile my son is here breaking out in hives. The doctors and nurses in back must be having some sort of celebration as sick kids are here coughing their lungs up in the ed.
I would give none star for this ER. Is the worst ER that I ve never seen. Everyone works slow there, it takes 2am till 12pm (next day) just to get a flue treatments. It takes from 1pm till 11:30pm (and still waiting) to get a transfer to the bad room ( the room was ready since 4h ago). The nurse said that they do have only 2people that do the transfer. No one of the patient cares how many people are there because of their condition the patient is not able to stay and wait for Nothing on the ER. There it takes 2h to see the doctor ( and the doctor is just sitting over there) , it takes more than a hour for the nurse to bring the medicine pain.It takes 3h to transfer to the x-ray or MRI and then another 2h to go back to the ER. So, every step there it takes hours, they are so slow workers. We come to emergency room for a fast service and to get treatment , not to stay there for hours for nothing .
The supervisor/charger (not sure how is called) has kind of attitude , she does not like the patient s complain , and she just repeat what nurse said ( so if she doesn't make any change after the complain, then why is she there for.)
Also, I think this ER needs more staff if they say that there it gets so busy. If it gets busy get more staff. People are paying for, that service is not free to act as they want.
On more thing: Must stay with the patient one family member because we never know what happens, ( they do not let anyone stay there and does not make sense) for example I want to see it what medication is taking my family member and how is been treating. So this is a MUST
I was admitted at 2:00 PM in pain. Until 6:00 PM, I haven't see the nurse nor doctor yet. I WON'T RECOMEND THIS ER TO ANYONE. if you have choice, go other hospital.
Worst experience. Fractured foot, the nurse told me to get up although I told her that I couldn't walk. She knew this and didn't care. She continued to be on her phone the entire time.

This emergency room is a place no one should ever step foot in. Their service would be rated a -0 they don t even care about the age the patient is or what kind of pain they are going through. No one should go here. The best emergency room I would recommend is North Central hospital and they take you in right away no matter what it is.

If I could give -50 stars I would. Literally THEE worst hospital on earth & I ve been coming here with my mom for 24 years! Nothing s changed about the emergency room except the staff get nastier. Probably because they are severely understaffed & unprofessional or just have bad days at home EVERY DAY. But that s no excuse, patients come here because they aren t feeling well, you shouldn t ignore them, you should treat all humans with respect & kindness. Majority of the staff don t seem to know what that is or how to be gentle. I type this with tears in my eyes as my mom is a regular here unfortunately, & the simplest thing such as a bed pan being asked for was ignored by 7 different people because it s not their zone . Crazy to think they ll let someone piss themselves because they don t want to walk 5 steps to provide basic care.

I came to pediatrics side with my 7 month old. the nurses were nice at check-in. my daughter had a 102.2 fever. that was at 8:30 pm. its now 2:30 am. havent stepped foot inside yet. still waiting to be called in. if it were a life/death situation we know what the end result would be. absolutely worst ER ever
You can easily die waiting to be attended if you are a patient . The patients are all together in a room, looking like a meat market. The nurses are too distracted. Patients can t be in their bed with a single family member ( even if they need someone to speak for them). The staff are rude. This emergency room needs improvement

My husband 's doctor sent him to the ER last week because his heart rate was extremely high
We immediately went thru the ER and was assisted by Nurse Bennett and a gentleman (bald - had tattoos around neck area) whom I never got his name
These 2 people were so kind, giving and made us feel that my husband was in good hands
At one point a cardiac arrest patient came in and everyone went running to assist - unfortunately ny daughter and I were told we could NOT stay and we needed to wait in the waiting room .
While waiting I thought - Wow is anyone going to come back and get us - After awhile Nurse Bennett did. I was. so happy.. I thanked her several times .
I felt her and this gentlemen were our and just made the whole experience less stressful for all of us ...
At one point a cardiologist came by and explained exactly what was going on with my husband's heart in terms we understood. After our experience and observing the gentleman with other patients - I really felt our medical staff are NOT recognized , appreciated and spoken about Enough!!!!! They truly are our Heroes .. These 2 individuals did their jobs but were compassionate and treated us with and I will never forget their kindness ....Thank You and God Bless .both of you. !!!!
I am Extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism i received from the call back service to reschedule my appointment for GI, something i consider very important and yet the representative was rude and uninformative.
The stars are for the NURSES who do a great job.. And are very kind.. But the hospital itself needs a lot of work ...they need more than 3 doctors in the EMERGENCY ROOM when there's more than 2 hundred people waiting for exams.. Come on people THINK A LITTLE

The worst pediatrics emergency room I've ever been too.... Came here once before and forgot why I wouldn't step foot back in this place..... Been sitting with my sons urine for 3hrs waiting to be called ... It has not been sent to the lab. You have to pay for parking in this area including the Visitors parking area of the hospital. Just horrible such a disgrace... Montefiore was very reputable and their service has worsened over time
I have a family member stuck in emergency for 2 days,since when that happens in the emergency room.
The emergency is totally disorganized.
1. Non- Bed ridden patients are forced to sit upright in chairs for hours at a time while being attended by medical professionals. Sheets and pillows seem difficult to find by workers.
2.After being admitted, beds are scarce. It was learned that it is not uncommon to spend 30hours in the emergency room waiting for a bed.
3. The patient bathrooms in emergency are not regularly attended and smell heavily of urine. They lack hand towels and soap.
Overall, the customer service provided was found to be unexpectedly poor despite the hospitals reputation and medical accolades. The emergency room resembles that of a 3rd World Country. If you are a walking prospective emergency patient, go somewhere else for your own well being.

Montefiore Moses Division Pediatric Emergency on E 210th was by far the worst hospital I have ever been to. Disgusting place. Ridiculous how they treated people especially kids whom are really sick were not priority. My 4 year old was not attended to for 6 whole hours and then when she was finally seen by a doctor they did absolutely nothing for her. It s ridiculous how unorganized they are and how they can care less about little kids. Worst experience ever. I will never return. Crazy part is now once did they ever check me for ID. They had no idea who I could of been to my child. Nor did my daughter ever get a room to be comfortable in. She was seen by a doctor in a waiting area in front of people. That s definitely a HIPPA violation. Never go here!
This is by far the absolute worst place I have ever stepped foot in. It's a disgrace to call this place a hospital or even a medical center. The service is HORRIBLE, the staff and I do mean all staff that I came in contact with was HORRIBLE. There are people scattered all over , NO attentive nurses nor doctors available to attend to anyone's needs. When asking any questions you're greeted by rude and insensitive people. Working in the medical field you should be able to expect professional people who have a passion to work with, and care for the patient. Unfortunately this is a place that will surely be pressed tight with lawsuits in due time. I wouldn't recommend a dog to go through the emergency department at this horrid place.
They don't care about the patient I ask for the water And they told me to find my nurse so she can assist me with that. After waiting there for more than 5 hours they told me someone is going to call me tomorrow for A Specialist appointment. Which of course never Happened. I called after today's to see what's going on And they hung up on me. Where disappointment with your service

I have been fighting with high blood pressure for days and when i come the nurse tells me they won t do anything here i need to see my primary doctor like ok? The ER unit here especially for adults is really bad! Be expected to be seen the next day. The ER is always full that they have beds with patients in the hallway & you cant even walk! A lot of CNA's don't care, they don't do there job & just ignore you and leave you there! There always under staff from the hours of 5pm-8am /7pm-7am shift. & how I know all this is because I worked here & seen it happen day by day! I would not recommend family or friends to come here. I myself would not come here! #NorthBronxHospital
