Los Angeles Dream Center Review

I have had the opportunity to visit the DC and interact with the students in DCLS. I can not express how disappointed I was in what I heard going on and how a group of students were overheard saying horrible things about someone who I assume was another student. The horrifying part was I witnessed Staff listening to this conversation and chose to do nothing to stop this. I could not believe what I was witnessing and would not want my child to ever be apart of an organization that seems to look the other way while others are being so disrespectful. It is my understanding that this is a leadership school and I did not witness much in the way of leadership from the staff.

Great place alot of friendly staff and great atmosphere

Go to their Website. A place of RECOVERY who love people. They have nutritious food, give free food, & facilities. GOD'S PRESENT there & anywhere who call in Jesus. Prayer there or anywhere have power. GOD'S REAL: it's written in the BIBLE (Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth.) he said, "Test me & know that I'm GOD, & He found no one perfect, Jesus came to save us & not to harm us.". Where's HEAVEN,? In the North Corner of the Universe found by Pastor Perry Stone in the Christian Bible.

The Dream Center is amazing!!! They reach out and help so many people in their community, definitely an inspiration!!!

The Dream Center is a dream come true for hundreds and hundreds of people!! They have a discipleship program for the broken down souls who need to get away from their drug and alcohol addictions and regain and remain a better walk with Christ! Then the Dream Center also have volunteers to help out to do outreach programs. They have the short-term members who are groups of churches all around the United States and sometimes we get churches from different countries. They also help with the outreach programs like the food truck where we go to the park or street and bag food up and pass it out to the homeless. Adopt A Block is amazing as well where they go to places where families need some essential groceries and items. It's amazing how Gods word travels. Last but not least they have a veteran's program, that's where I'm at! I am a veteran from the Texas National Guard and I've been out of the military for a couple years. So they help vets like us for temporary housing. There are a couple vets that were actually homeless.. living on Skid Row and MacArthur Park now they have food, shelter and other tools they need to have a successful future. Another thing they do for us is set us up with the VA for our special benefits and other important stuff like housing and school benefits if we want to go to school. Good thing about it is that it is a one year program and they have a study booklet each week to read and study the word of God. Also morning devotion to read and study the word of God. Lastly goal packets we fill out and they check our progress monthly to see if we are steps closer to achieve our goals. Best of all we get the pleasure to go to one of the blessed and anointed church's I've ever been to called Angelus Temple every Thursday @7pm and Sunday @9am & 11am. Led by the visionary and anointed Matthew Barnett.. Every service is special for everyone and dozens of lives get changed for the better to serve the one and only God.

Words can't describe how amazing this place is. You must see to believe

The Dream Center is an amazing nonprofit that is clearly doing so much good in the Los Angeles area. I'm from Dallas but had the opportunity to volunteer and see firsthand the assistance being offered to those in need. It was a great privilege to be able to assist with the food distribution ministry to both the elderly and families in need at one of the project sites in Los Angeles. I highly recommend the Dream Center Foundation as a nonprofit worthy of participation and investment.

I love the place because they are very friendly and have everything to help people in this situation, that one is passing a thousand blessings to support and that God bless them for the work they do, risking that they get sick so that the families do not miss them nothing

Good place to rehabilitate for someone you love and or care for. Although some of the graduated residents there can and will let it gwt to thier heads, and feel as if they are "running the world" around them, or even believe they are now cops / head of Echo Park security. Or even worse, simply forget that they came to this place as addicts IN NEED !, and that the Love of our Lord God is who in charge.

They have a very good selection of things to buy in their 2nd hand store

Spent a week here on a missions trip. Life changing time spent here. What they are doing to assist the homeless and those who cannot help themselves is amazing. They are truly the hands and feet of God at work. Cannot wait to go back.

This place offers amazing worship and outreach to the community and beyond. It partners with the Los Angeles Dream Center and does all things good.

Best place to be or go very kind loving people helping out the ones in need, an hungry also even with clothes or place to live there the best a place of God , I love this place an people that are there God bless dream center an evryone there.

The Dream Center it's been such a help through situation all of us are going through.. they've been helping with food diapers and food bank. Pastor Matthew Barnett has the biggest heart for the community

We went on a trip for alfc called launch we had the chance to stay there and be part of some of there activities this is truly amazing and live changing especially love changing through christ. Really great full to have been able to go.. thank you for what you guys do honesty you have changed los Angeles from where you can. God bless you guys and what you do and that every person who enters there gets spirit filled and gets to be in the Lord's hand, also the volunteers there God bless you guys for answering the call

I'm from Australia and learnt about the dream centre through a joyce meyer program. I have not personally gone but have researched and seen all the amazing things they do for their community. I would love to donate whilst I'm here in los Angeles and hopefully come back one day and assist their organisation. God bless you all. I went in 2018 and will be going in 2021. This place is truly the hands and feet of Jesus. Not joking. Their ministry impacted me so much.

The Dream Center is an amazing place where Miracles happen everyday! They are a light in a very dark area and are all about seeing lives and the community transformed by the love of Jesus! I've been on 2 missions trips to the LADC and will be there for a 3rd time in the summer of 2018. It's a privilege to work alongside the Dream Center team!!

This place abused my sister and traumatized me as a kid.

I don't know how anyone could possibly score this place with anything other than 5 stars. The community work this team does is incredible, assisting foster case families, rehabilitation from addictions, feeding/ clothing the homeless and much more.
I was blessed to work with them for a week meeting the needs of the broken and less fortunate people across LA.

This is an awesome place determined to get those not so fortunate back on track! I personally have and worked at this splended place and encourage you to do so also! Thanks Dream Center!

A place where hope is fulfilled and dreams come true.

Positive changes occur here everyday. It amazes me how one courageous young man, Matthew Barnett with God's dream inside his heart, created an influx of miracles for many hopeless and downtrodden people.

Matthew Barnett is a modern day hero for Jesus. May his courageousness and true faith be an inspiration to all. He changed my life for the better, and restored my faith in mankind itself.

What is the dream center doing for the thousands who are homeless and living on the streets of LA. The news media never talks about what your organization is doing for the homeless or the communities of LA. Why??????

This is a cool place to visit. They have a thrift store there too!!!

This is the place to go if you need help with alcohol and drug rehabilitation, are homeless or a single parent. It's truly a dream center and a blessing for many. Go in and see the chapel, it's a historic place

This is an Absolute Cult...No comm.w/ people,and U are forced to work meaninglessly for hrs.,and they dont want U to read,can't bring ANY reading except a bible,and They want a commitment of a yr.,and expect a homeless person who may have other mental issues to not be on their meds.,and U can't even pay your bills while
staying there? How is that helping anyone?
Horribly ignorant and unwilling to HELP everyone....Its the worst experience I've ever had when I had a crisis situation.

This is a place that was built by God. By his own sovereign grace he is supplying spiritual and physical food to those in need.

Nice people and a good place to go for help if you are suffering from drug and alcohol abuse ,free of charge all you need is your willingness to be clean and sober!

I would recommend this program to anyone who is hard on their luck but not as a means of using as a long term solution. I left the program because I viewed them to be more self-serving and stingy in regards to distributing goods to the people in their program. I didn't accept the fact that they kept on reusing the same items over and over again and would give to you with the expectation that you would have to give back anything they gave you. Same set of towels, linens, clothing, shampoo and conditioners everyone has to use on the floor..not my cup of tea. And there's a need to distribute more basic items to the people, basic items you can purchase at any 99 cent store( first aid items, Tylenol, multivitamins, antacids, basic moisturizers). I'm not into saving face for the sake of the rich investors when internally the people are suffering!! But if your comfortable just doing without and you just want to do something for fun then join the dream center.

This place does great work affecting many people's lives

I volunteered here for two weeks and let me share with you the amazing things that this place does to help out around so many communities families and anyone in need. we traveled to IKEA and purchased furniture for families. Also built and delivered. We also had food trucks serving fresh fruits and veggies also other food products for anyone who wanted free food. Oh my expletive there was extraordinary they are such a blessing to LOS ANGELES CITY

Need help on having a different perspective on the less fortunate or homeless? The Dream Center is a great place to show how Jesus gave equal opportunity to all who were willing to take that step of faith. One of the best outreach ministries I ve ever been to! Great leadership and staff.

I do not recommend this place is a racist place you go and ask for help for a person who has a peoblema of alcoholism because it is supposed to be a help luagr and they leave you with that they do not receive you because you do not speak English and even though that the diesmo do not ask you to speak English there if you receive it even if you are Hispanic there do not put obstacles but to help are not good

I just read all these reviews and I have tears! I would love to have my son go there...he is trying so hard with counseling and AA and he needs an in-house program....he can't be alone he gets depressed and ends up staying alone and I am scared that he will give up very soon if he hasn't already?
Can't afford the places ive been looking into. I was just told about this place 30 minutes ago and an hour earlier I was saying my son needs the lord! He needs a change of surroundings and people...that aren't trying to encourage him to drink and party....he needs to see that people can be happy without drugs and alcohol......How do you get a 22 year old in that really wants it all to work?

People over there feel very genuine to me. No expectations or soliciting from them. Just their service for the community is enough for them. I will go back just for that.

I was there when it first opened i was blessed to be in the right place. I met pastor barrnett before he open the church on 1100glendale blvd. The church was a blessing to have for the homeless people who didnt have anywhere to go god is so good.!

The Dream Center has been a blessing in so many ways to my family and many more families .The pastors and counselors teachers the whole staff there are driven to help and guide nurture and teach in a setting based on the fundamentals of the Bible the teachings of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ! They have multitudes of programs and events helping the LA community but it doesnt stop there they reach out above and beyond what a mere church family does.The pastor Mathew Barnett had a vision he had a dream and he has accomplished much and today he is still thinking outside the box to expand and reach more ways to touch peoples lives he truly is a man of God! So go check it out uou have nothing to lose but everything to gain!!
