Zehnder's of Frankenmuth Review

The food is nothing special, but it is a very fun atmosphere. To be honest $22 for a chicken dinner is a rip off but you will get very fast service and have a good time.

Great place to eat. You get a free all you can eat chicken dinner for your birthday! Wonderful atmosphere and absolutely beautiful. S must see at Christmas.

You want chicken.....they got chicken.... We love to go to the cafe downstairs. Much quicker service for basically the same food.

The food was excellent and very friendly service. The wait was very long but to be expected. You can always go get drunk from bar when your waiting in line. I had the all you can eat dish, not the buffet. But it was a amazing!!! It was like a thanks giving at the table! Everything tasted great but the coleslaw was out of this world. I say that because I m not really a fan of coleslaw but wow! It was good!

Always great food, everything on the menu is awesome! I've driven hours to eat here, or pick up takeout for the family.

Full course meal. Delicious food. Wonderful atmosphere in Frankenmuth MI. On the street there is a carriage ride that goes by. Gotta love this place.

I usually go to bavarian inn, however this time i wanted to check out zenders. It took almost 3 hours to eat. Everything was so slow and after over hearing the waitresses tell the table behind us that they are short handed it explained everything. As we sat there, tables came and went. As a manager, i wouldve reacted better to this. Call in extra help, re-allocate extra help, or just lend a hand. Bad first impression, i guess ill stick to a place that i have never had any issues with from now on.

I love Zehnder's. I did have a bad encounter with our waitress and she was very rude and would flirt with another server while my boyfriend and I needed her. However, the food is wonderful, I love the environment and even though we had a bad encounter, management has called us and they are working it out with us, which we do appreciate.

Our waitress was very angry and rude and very unsafe while serving us hot food and beverages. She tossed our food on table of 10 ppl.,almost spilling our soup on us and dropping our food off of serving dishes and kept going. We were very tense everytime she approached. She was replaced mid service, by very nice wait staff.I give everyone else 4 stars....

Great food. A bit pricey if you don't have a huge appetite

Lovely. As a child our family would visit once a year. Returned after 40 years and was transported back to my childhood. The liver pate, the breads, the cranberry sauce, and the fantastic onion soup. Oh yeah the sorbet.

Everything was great. Maybe just a little too production line type of a feeling, though.

Wait is too long. The food is good, but you can get the same thing everywhere else...in some cases cheaper. Do yourself a favor and make reservations.***wow 91$ for 2 kids meals and 2 dinners.....go elsewhere.

The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is that Zehnder's isn't the Bavarian Inn.

Not fond of the atmosphere of a bar ) our hostess has us seated by the entrance next to a dirty table. And no , I choose just to leave. I m not sure after all these years do I even want to come back. The place was not full . I asked for a booth. There were empty ones. It s just not worth it any longer I gave 2 stars I just didn t want to seem more bitter than I am.

We've been coming to Frankenmuth for years to celebrate my birthday. Most fantastic food ,excellent service always a good time. The family style chicken dinner is delicious with plenty of leftovers for a nice treat the next day!

The chicken is mediocre at best, fake tasting mashed potatoes, flavorless overcooked noodles, and way over priced. This was our first trip to zehnders in many years and it was a big disappoint. We would not drive 90 minutes to eat there again.

Their chicken dinners are good. Not the best. It's very pricey. You're paying for the name.

Beautiful place but ridiculously expensive. The chicken is good but no better than what I can get at our pizza shops in Ohio. Buffet was good but not as good as the amish buffets at home. I expected much better than I can get at home for the $25 per person.

The waitstaff is very efficient... like a finely tuned piece of machinery! The food was good.

Come on their dinner is great keeps you busy all the different things. Me and the daughter just love it. After, you go and buy all the baked goods to take home. Oh yes great food.

We drive up for Zhenders chicken dinners 2-3 times a year!! The town is so charming, the food is delicious, and shopping at Birch run is close by! It's the perfect get away for a day or two!!

Not a place to eat if you have dietary restrictions. Also food is not all that great. Fine dining KFC.

Always love going there. We joined the Birthday Club years ago and since we are both July babies, we both get dinner free, in July! All we pay for is what we drink and we always leave a generous tip for whoever waits on us. Their food is always wonderful tasting and hot when it comes to your table. The wait staff is very attentive and we are able to enjoy a wonderful meal. Shopping downstairs is always fun too! Love being able to buy items from the menu and bakery.

The waiter Jon, was superb and the food was tremendous! Always look forward to coming here every year for our anniversary

I'm truly clueless how are there good reviews about this place. The best way I can describe is it's inedible. Like the worst food I have ever had in MY LIFE.

You get a lot of food and it's really good. Come hungry if you do all you can eat. There's a wait but it's worth it. We will come back for sure.
