I think people go for the tradition. Food was ok and a little over priced. However, I'm glad the children got to experience the atmosphere.

Four to five visits a year for 50 years that ought to tell you how good it is and how much fun the dining is

Usually delicious. ..today the French Onion Soup and Chicken lacked it's signature flavor....sort of disappointed.

Came for a family gathering of 40+ people. The staff did very well at serving and explaining everything. The chicken was dry and the breading was salty. Reminded me of college dorm food, maybe one step up from there. There was nothing stellar about the food, but nothing g horrid either. Skip the steak, the cuts aren't very tasty and the flavor or is poor.

ONLY BEEN THERE ONCE BUT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. THEY WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING TO OUR NEEDS...( THIS WAS A FAMILY REUNION )...WE HAD RESERVATIONS BUT BECAUSE OUR GROUP WAS LARGER THAN EXPECTED AND THE HUGE RESTAURANT/HALL... WAS BUSTLING WITH CUSTOMERS...THEY WERE STILL ABLE TO FIND US A PERFECT SPOT...THAT WAS MOSTLY SECLUDED...EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE AS YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM THIS WELL KNOWN ESTABLISHMENT....

We ate there yesterday for the 1st time was not impressed. The waiter was very slow, they were in that busy. was not impressed with the food. The food was very bland my green beans were soggy but the chicken wasn't too badd but I will not go back again. the prices are very expensive

Love zehnders bakery and all the great treats. As for the restaurant it is pretty good, but not as good as it is made out to be.

Love Zehnders been coming since I was a little kid 45-50 years. Food is incredible and they give the family style meal free on your birthday month if you join there loyalty program .

This place never gets old. Once a year we take the family here for a little get a way and a excellent meal. Cannot beat the chicken

It may be a landmark, but the food wasn't especially impressive. Volume seems to be prioritized over quality. Even desserts weren't exciting.

Outstanding service, great food and a splash park that s more than fun! Great time and not as expensive as I thought.

The food was delicious. It was a high card dinner. The only "veggie" was the cranberry relish. We lucked out and went at 3 right between lunch and dinner so we only waited 5 minutes to be seated.

Food is always good, service usually good, and it's an enjoyable place to get together with family and friends - lovely meal followed by a day of shopping.

Just popped in to get a look at the place. We did not eat because the wait was a little long (30-45) The ambiance and character of the place is great, right down to how the staff is dressed appropriately. We hope to make it up again soon to give the famous chicken dinner a go!

Love the lower shopping in Zehnder's. They have variety shop, bakery, gift shop with Pandora, other jewelry, unique gifts, nice pictures, some clothes. It is worth taking a look. I found sea foam, malted milk balls, small sample jelly jars and a night light of the truck with Christmas . You can get nice meal there too. Try for the lower level eating looked interesting. But you need to go upstairs to sign up for lower level.

This place was hopping, but the line moved very quickly. Our waitress was delightful and sweet. The food was so delicious!! I wish I took pics of our dinner. You should come here...you won't be disappointed!!

Food was fair but surprised by the amount of time we waited to be seated, have our order taken, order to come to the table, and to get cashed out. It wasn't busy otherwise I would understand. Cute shop downstairs.

Chicken dinner was delicious. Several Bakery items went home with us. It was well worth the wait.

Extremely fancy! Everything is fantastic here. This is a tourist town and they do deal with a lot of people but they are always eager and super friendly to serve you best!

Interesting, but really need the whole day to experience.

Fried chicken is great! If you're looking for a cheaper meal, head downstairs to the Zehnder's Marketplace. More of a cafeteria type setting with the same foods.

Easily the best dinner I've ever had here. Savannah, our waitress, went above and beyond the call of duty-- always checking in when we needed anything, pauses at the right times, even with my dairy allergy she went so far as to bring me a little bowl with some extra cranberry relish (my favorite!) with one of the little animals they get on the sundaes (see picture)! Absolutely superb service and the food was hot and delicious just like always. 100% would come back or recommend to a friend.

We eat a Zehnder's on our early voyage home..known for their Amazing Chicken Dinners...yet the have so much more to chose from. ..their lower level dinning is phenomenal!

Zehnders has been a tradition in our family for 70 years. Still love coming here!

Food was not that good as i was told ... i only ate the cole slaw which was really good

The service was amazing and the food was excellent. I do not know what they did to make the brussel sprouts so tasty. Nice atmosphere also.

Service was great. I thought the chicken was the best I've ever had at Zehnders (been going here a while). Cranberry salad and cabbage salad we're outstanding.

Our visit started out a little bit rocky because of our super long wait (in spite of the fact that we had even though we had reservations), but our server, the food, and the amazing manager made our experience worth five stars. First, Zachary, our server, was top-notch. Two of my adult sons (who both served their way through college) were part of the group and they both said that he was the best server they'd seen in years. There seems to be a perfect balance of friendly and funny, and knowing when to back-off. We all loved Zachary's outgoing nature and the way he made us feel well-taken care of. He was super accommodating and flexible and everything a waiter should be. Then, there was the food. Everything was amazing. We had chicken, Walleye, and jumbo shrimp along with all the usual delicious sides. All the members of our party raved about how fresh and tasty our food was. We left Zehnder's very satisfied.

THE place to eat in Frankenmuth, MI! After a day in Christmas town, excellent food, great service, reasonable prices whether 2 or 20.

Food was good waitress was slow and it was hard to keep our drinks full.

I dream all year long of Frankenmuth chicken, the usual intervals between visits to see in-laws. This is a wonderful place, and I think the chickens they use are magical: you can poke and probe the pieces with your fingers, seemingly endlessly, always finding still more bits of meat and delicious breading. The place revolves around its chicken, so everything else is just as heavenly.

Good chicken noodle soup....nice "quiet", respectful voices used in conversations.

Lovely German themed town with load of family centered things to do. Worth the trip to visit the quaint town with Christmas superstore!

This place is the best they have free ice cream that comes with toys and the best food and service they also give you stuffed animals and get to take a pic with drumstick their mascot

I ordered the Reuben the meat tasted like salty bacon the bottom bread was soggy and mushy the pickle it came with was sour and the chips were over fried and dumped with salt .

Rude people, horrible customer service. Left without getting anything. I understand they're busy on weekends but it doesn't give them the right to be rude to customers. They have no idea how far some people drive to go there to eat.

Servicer was great. She would bring more of the different dishes we would ask for.

Every single bite was delicious. Service was great. Clean, reasonably priced and high quality food.

Food is good. Server was great. Was not a lot of wait time on food considering the place was packed. I recommend making a reservation. We walked up and got seated within 5 minutes.

Fast service and literally the best food I have had for thanksgiving just before my moms

My sister, my niece and I enjoyed our meal. My sister was celebrating her birthday. Our waitress Megan was exceptional. She explained the Family Style Meal process. She was very attentive and gave us great tips on enjoying the meal. She helped us prepare our take-out to take back to the hotel. We had not been to Frankenmuth in several years. We are looking forward to our next visit.
