I have been to this Chocolaterie few times and is always good. This is great place for a day-out, specially for kids. The hills and fields view is wonderful. Best thing I enjoy here is sit outside the chocolaterie and enjoy their locally blended coffee. Hand-made chocolates and truffles, coffee and ice-cream are few things you will love here. If you like truffles, this is where you should go.

This place is soooo popular, no jokes. Every time we try to go there (the last three times), the place has been so packed we left and went elsewhere. Couldn't get a car park, big queues out the front door. We even went there at 3pm thinking most people would be gone by now but nope. It is worthwhile but I don't think they were expecting to become so popular. Or were they? Chocolate is excellent. Food is delicious. Desserts and variety of them and drinks are the best. Ice cream, chocolates, workshops, tastings, cafe, walk around outdoors. Pick your times to avoid disappointment or be very patient.

Great selection of high quality chocolate coupled with a fantastic view of the Yates Valley to sit and enjoy a hot chocolate. Ideal place to bring the family as there is plenty of activities and space for kids. Also the selection of chocolate is great for treating yourself, and also great gift ideas especially for people overseas.

Long drive here but it's all worth it. There's so much variety that you're bound to find something you like. There's chocolate everything (hot chocolate, chocolate infused tea leaves, ice cream, fruit covered in chocolate, chocolate body Cream, chocolate scented candles, and so much more). You can order their products online although there is a shipping fee. My favourites are the plum covered in milk chocolate and the honeycomb covered in milk chocolate.

Excellent Ice Cream and Chocolate... But way too hyped up and crowded. Definitely go for the ice cream... And the chocolate is good but not anything so spectacular that it would differentiate itself from other chocolate anywhere in the world....the ice cream however is elite world class status... I'd put it up with my favorite gelato in Florence and Tuscany....yes it's that good.

Visited the chocolatier with the missus. Really nice scenery. There is a lot of parking available. Because it's visited by tourists, there might be buses parked but they have their own parking area within the car park. Parking is free. Near the entrance there is a digital information screen. When you walk further up the path past the information screen, you get a ice-cream serving station. Past this is the main entrance to the chocolate factory and restaurant area. It maybe very busy so if you cannot get a table inside, they have a temporary covered dining area as the establishment is being renovated. Inside, there is another ice-cream serving station near cafe where you can get some nice food. There is a glass window which gives you a view of the chocolate factory in action. There are a few samples to taste plus three types of chocolate buttons to try. This is a bit more expensive than the one in Phillip Island but it has a view that is awesome. Great for anyone to visit. Plenty of space for kids to play. There are signs that "say no dogs, no picnics but lots of fun." There is a notice near the bathrooms (which are located where you buy chocolate) that tells you what's on during June to September at the chocolatier. We ordered a long black and hot chocolate. Both reasonably priced. Also got some chocolate macarons. The drive is also great.

Lovely place. Good menu options for a lazy long lunch in open. Surrounded with beautiful winery.
Outdoor seating. Toilets. All facilities there.
See them making chocolates, enjoy free samples, shop and dig into some nice deserts.

Just one thing..their chocolates and ice creams both are overly sweet!! In all other aspects its a very nice place.

We visited on a Sunday and it was super busy. Even though it was busy, staff got people through check out and ordering quickly with great customer service. Give yourself some time to look through all that they have - so many options and varieties. I picked up some great gifts for friends and family.

I planned my son s 2nd birthday party at the venue & had been liaising with staff in the lead up to the event. On the day we had 20 guests in attendance. All bought main meals and drinks & several purchased chocolates from within the store. It was only upon time to order more drinks & sing happy birthday that I was notified that we weren t allowed the birthday cake at the venue (even with us offering to pay cakeage). Despite many opportunities at no point prior to the event had we been notified that birthday cakes were banned.
In order to not waste the beautiful birthday cake & disappoint my son (who at that age just wanted to blow out his candles & eat some cake) we had to shift all our guests to a local park to sing to him.
Given now much money we spent there on the day we were really disappointed with how readily they refused us. Our family & friends have had parties at venues in the past, none of which refused our children their birthday cake. Greedy business!

Recommended only if you re bringing your overseas visitors around and happen to be around Yarra Valley. (You visit because you re nearby and your friends haven t been)

Once you ve been here, you don t ever really want to come back.

The sights aren t great for photo taking, ice cream isn t special (normal flavours) and the price for coffee and chocolates are quite expensive (tourist cash grab).

Yeah... the ambience is more for family (noisy and full of tourists/kids), don t bring your special other here for a dessert date.

Neat place and sweet drive to get out of the hustle/bustle of the city for a day and also checked out Healesville. This place is Chocolate Heaven people! Upon entering the premises to your left you can watch through the class and see how the chocies are made. The extensive variety of chocolates is just HUGE and very BIG&small imaginative pieces to take away with you. The cafe is great, lots of seating in or outside, infact I think we sat down for almost 2hours cuppa&yep you guessed it chocie...oh and also a ice-creamery and over 40 picturesque acres

Love the chocolate and special events.

Love the chocolate and special events.
Sweet breakfast/food items are a little expensive for how much you get.
The waffles was a lot smaller then predicted.

Otherwise a place I love coming back too.

During peak summer periods you can t move in this place! Resent renovations have helped but it still lacks sufficient seating. The grounds are beautiful, chocolate is delicious but quite expensive (the justification being it is all handmade). The window open to the kitchen is a great design feature. While known for their chocolate, the ice cream has substantially increased in its quality. I recommend turkish delight and triple berry and white chocolate!

Finest chocolate and unbelievable varieties! The 3$ tasting session was very informative, tasty (couple of weird flavors too) and worth every penny!

The cafe was a major let down though. Half an hour to get a small table and then 50 minutes wait time just for a waffle.

Took my parents here for a road trip out of the city. Was a busy day but we got a table and everything went smoothly. Food is reasonable, chocolate is really good and ice cream is excellent. I would go back for a road trip destination.

Had a real fun time with the Easter Egg Hunt. Three Easter Bunnies made it a great day for the kids. The cafe was super busy with snaking queues but the cafe staff was upto it, turning tables with a smile. The cafe menu is quite extensive with lots of options for kids and adults. Loved the pizzas, will go back soon for the sundaes and waffles!! Highly recommended.

The ice cream's delicious. Being able 2 taste free choc chips - dark, milk & white - was fun & a good intro into the chocolate's quality. The items 4 purchase r tourist prices. There's easy wheelchair access & plenty of parking nearby.

I absolutely love coming here! The great Wall of chocolate is always a favourite, and I highly recommend going during one of their festivals or around the Christmas/Easter period (note - very busy). We booked in a tasting session for the Rocky Road festival recently and couldn't recommend it enough. It didn't cost much at all (less than $20pp) and we got to try a rocky road hot chocolate, different rocky roads, rocky road ice cream, and we got to make our own.

What a great family experience. You can watch chocolates being made in the temperature controlled kitchen but there is no explanation of what is being made. Chocolate galore with a mind boggling array of choices. Coffee anybody? Why not have something chocolate to go with it? Our party consisted of three adults and two children. We ordered a chocolate fondue for two. It was more than enough for all of us. In fact there was a struggle to not waste anything and clean the bowl of any chocolate. I think of it as Death by Chocolate. They also have other food items such as traditional style pizza and yes there is a chocolate pizza. You can dine inside the hall or in the outside dining area and all the serving staff seem to be chocaholics themselves. Rest rooms are spacious and clean. Plenty of parking. Oh and by the way there is also an ice creamery which amazingly also serves chocolate ice cream. Worth a visit for an hour or so.

Cute place with a huge selection of chocolate. Great if you re a chocolate fanatic and/or if you re looking for some edible souvenirs. There s all kinds of chocolate products (truffles, bars, bars with interesting fusions/flavors, spreads, etc.).

This place also has a cafe and sells ice cream. Worth to check out if you re in the area!

Good place to get a sugar hit. Free tasting chocolate buds are a win. Not fine quality chocolates, but more different moulds and mixes. Icecream place was ok, although think the icecream is not frozen enough. Melts pretty quickly.

Nice place, extremely busy though. It's the same operators as the one down near Anglesea so if you've been to that one, there's nothing to see here.
Ice creams are great. The chocolate itself is good however very expensive for what it is.

Such a wonderful getaway from busy life. Wonderful array of chocolate and confectionery foods and items. Ice cream and delicatessen chocolates. Such friendly and smiley service and a beautiful view. Can get quite busy and packed but you can usually find a place to sit in the cafeteria or garden area (bring a picnic blanket!). One thing to say however is that the kitchen closes too early and they don't have much range of foods catering to certain dietary requirements such as Halal. Advice I would give them; expand your food list and maybe add more fun interactions :)

Was a bit underwhelming compared to our usual visit. Winds were also very strong which I know the weather can't be helped but something to help prevent what's on our table being blown away may have made things a bit more enjoyable. The people next to us had half of our hot chocolate blown onto them.

It is a great place to visit, but avoid sitting outside when there is less than perfect weather.

We came here with our dear friend Jean from Dubai. She enjoyed the stack of chocolates in front of her and the ice cream too. Wowwww was all she was able to say. Thus we come here every time we have visiting friends and family either inter-state or overseas.
