I love chocolaterie & ice creamery! I love to share this place to all my guests. Everytime when I take the tour group to Yarra Valley for the winery tours, because I always talk about wine tasting, especially I mention red wine are nice to go with some nuts, chocolate based desserts. I always request to guests to engage with me then I take them to here as a reward.

Excellent place. Decent service. On weekends and holidays it's very busy and really too busy. It puts a strain on the facilities and services that can be provided. On a weekday with less people this place would be magic.

One of the most popular places in the Yarra Valley. Big car park and bus loads of tourists bring lots of visitors here everyday.

Free samples of chocolates is very popular for kids and adults alike. Plenty of different chocolate and sugary products to choose from.

Staff are friendly and helpful. On site cafe available.

Love love love this place. Can be super busy and packed out on weekends, but if you're patient the Cafe is worth the wait for a table. The hot chocolate is to die for. Free chocolate drops at the door, but only one handful per person thank you very much.

Love chocolate and ice cream? You need to come down to this place and have a look around. Free entry and there's a few free samples even. You can find some bizarre flavours. Good place to buy a gift for someone... Or yourself. The ice cream is really good too with a huge variety.

The place was ok would have like to see more on how they make the different chocolates, the price's for the chocolates was a bit much , the food was under cooked and served on a cold plate that mad the food cold and the hash browns was burnt , over all better than the Phillip Island chocolates.

they have free samples of their chocolate as you walk in the door and their chocolate is delicious. their ice cream is the best thing I've ever tasted. they have a huge shop full of different types of chocolate products such as eater eggs, giant freckles, chocolate and mint bath fizzers, chocolate and vanilla body lotion and so much more.the service is amazing all the staff are super friendly and smiling. I insist you go and visit the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery, 35 Old Healesville Rd, Yarra Glen VIC.

Visited yesterday for a birthday lunch treat..should have skipped the three hour return trip.
Table of four, took 50 mins to receive all meals (two were the same, yet delivered 40mins apart from each other..one would assume they'd be prepared together for efficiency). With majority of menu items pre-prepared ready to warm/blast/plate it was a stretch.
Childs fish and chips is identical in quantity and quality to the adult version, however an adult is slugged an extra $7 for the use of a plate rather than a box. Bacon and eggs arrived cold, placed half on/half off untoasted stale bread, and rind left on the chewy cold bacon. Plate presentation is poor.
Staff appeared hurried and unhappy. Not the lunch experience we were expecting.
Would never recommend visiting the cafe for a meal again, despite having visited a few times previously with little complaint.

Very difficult to get a table on the weekends and they don't take bookings. Choc brownie pizza was AMAZING (when I had it in August) super decadent, rich, dense and sweet, but then when I went back in November it was different (picture above) It was missing the extra chocolate on top, and overall just looked more bare. This choc brownie pizza was a let down, however the choc lava cake was DELISH. Best thing I've had in a long time. Cake was soft and centre was rich. The side of ice cream (salted caramel flavour) went along perfectly and I'd definitely recommend that flavour (along with the nutella ice cream flavour). Best part- it comes with a shot of chocolate- THE BEST! The choc lava cake is a must get if you come to the choc factory!

A great place to take the family, no matter what the weather is like. The free chocolate tasting is a hit, and the large window into the kitchen is a must-see. The cafe is very slow to serve at the register, but the food and drinks are well worth the wait.

Chocolate is wonderful, as is their icecream (massive scoops for what you pay). Insanely busy, so be prepared to shuffle around the store. There's a glass wall in to their kitchen, and plenty of servers to make your purchase.

This is an amazing place to stop towards the end of a day in the Yarra Valley. If you're into chocolate (or ice-cream) come here! There's gluten-free and dairy-free chocolate here too, and all kinds of amazing blends and types, including chocolate made with native Australian ingredients. Bon appetit!

Great view to enjoys great chocolate and deserts. The ice-cream is incredible. I got the pig and chicken pizza and it was a bit bland. It's a great place to bring kids to, there is a big area to play and walk among the fruit trees.

Great chocolate without a doubt but cafe staff, I'...

Great chocolate without a doubt but cafe staff, I'm not sure if we were meant to wait some employees to finish chatting before getting served? We were literally standing in front of 2 employees ( one younger lady and another mature lady with glasses) who were chatting away with no urgency to serve us before finally deciding they were ready to acknowledge us. I'm gob smacked at how the chatting can simply continue as if we were transparent. Perhaps a simply acknowledgement such as " won't be too long" will help. We took some time to observe the interactions as we waited for our order and discovered that we were not the only ones receiving poor customer service, seems like other customers of asian decent were made to wait whilst the employees chatted away behind the counter. Quite unprofessional I'd say. In saying this, the lady at the door taking customer's number was very friendly and we were not made to feel like we were transparent. She was very helpful and explained to us about the restrictions and where we could get take away instead.

I would recommwnd love this place your in chocolate heaven.
If you dine in I would not recommend the hot chocolate way to much of cause if you love large size then go for it.
But we'll worth the trip. Free entry but you tend to spend quite big on chocolate anyway

Lots to see and do young and old.

So much chocolate. Also chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate and chocolate. There's a whole chocolate factory. And they have chocolate. Apparently there's a selection of pizzas and burgers and stuff too. But I couldn't see past all the chocolate. Set in a beautiful Orchard and garden.

We enjoyed the trip to Yarra valley chocolaterie to buy chocolates and ice cream. But I wish they had a section where they showed how the chocolates were made. There was a short window to see how the packing was being done.

It's a great place to visit on the way to healsville. They do have a small free sampling, which is great. we ended up buying $70 bucks worth of chocolate. It's all good, but just a little pricey. There were lots of people on a Sunday. I am sure its not so crazy busy on a week day. the service was great, ice creams were really good too. They even have some very rare chocolate from exotic cocaos, which was really awesome. if.you like any kind of chocolate, they will likely have it.

After being impressed after visiting the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie, my wife and I called in to their Yarra Valley venue, to see where it all began. Amazingly clean, friendly staff and great service. Their chocolate isn't inexpensive, but tell me anything that isn't a bit dearer, when it's a quality Australian owned and operated business. I prefer to spend my money keeping local families employed, like those who work here. Well done. Great Aussie business!

The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie is a magical Wonka-esque place set in the midst of the winery country. You can taste their chocolate (by the scoop!), watch the chocolate being made, and buy chocolate in many forms. The packaging is wonderful and colourful and so it makes a lovely gift. You can eat at their cafe, or as we did, enjoy a delicious gelato on a summer s day while relaxing on the beautiful lawns amongst the sprawling vines. Fun for kids and adults alike, it really is a must-see for those visiting the Yarra Valley.

Love the ice cream here. Large portions with a good selection of basic flavours. The chocolate is not my taste, probably more Australian (made for our warm weather) rather than the smooth Belgium/Swiss chocolate I prefer. Bought a jar of choc chai tea- wasn't good so might be advisable to stay away from tea. Lots of grass for kids to run around. And the restaurant is large with a renovation with nice views.

Its our favourite place to be for any day-trip. Always feel so relaxed and refreshing with such scenic views. Not a trip for days with high 30s*C as can't enjoy outdoors, but plenty of indoor seating with aircons. Not much of self choco tasting due to obvious COVID restrictions. Hot waffle is great with ice cream. Oh and can't miss my Chocamochachino - hope i spelt it correct.

This place has always been a favourite for the family. The pizzas are not bad and the coffees are nice. The kids loves the junior hot chocolate. The place is so family friendly with pictures colourings, balls to kick around, vegetables garden and at the bottom of the hill there's farm animals. The views are spectacular.

Reminds me of one of those massive American restaurants with all the staff running around in themed uniforms and bunny hats. Went their Easter Sunday so it was rediculously busy but they dealt with it well. As it was Easter Sunday and she'd missed out on the massive Easter egg hunt I bought my daughter the chocolate fondue and she was amazed and delighted and at the things they give you to do into warm liquid chocolate!

Icecream is wonderful, chocolate is well priced for what it is, not the best you can get in Melbourne but excellent for the price, usually very busy, plenty of parking and can usually get it on a busy day, great for kids to run around and play aswell. NOT DOG FRIENDLY so don't bring your four legged friend out for the car park.
