I m sure they are great if you buy in their master planned community that they sell for more but building on your own lot is a nightmare. 3 months late (due to no one showing up), so many cracks in my house it s ridiculous, had to replace 3 windows so far (due to major shifting, broke internal seals and still have 2 more to go!), 2nd floor squeaks, floors upstairs uneven, brick outside has 2ft cracks in places, had to repair drywall where cracking was so bad that the repair guy was shocked my house is only 3 yrs old!, and about 7 doors had to be adjusted (some adjusted 3 times). So much for the soil testing and paying more for thicker foundation. I was told I would have the same person to contact for the length of the house build... wrong, the owners daughter I guess was tired of dealing with people not showing up to my house and passed it to someone else (who ended up quiting like a year after and personally apologized as he thought I wasn t getting good treatment). Oh, and did I mention the amount for leaks my roof has had? Incorrect flashing insert, bad seals around vents in attic,..: list goes on. Oh and good luck having them fix their quality build. Also, they don t care that my driveway has had major cracking since 6 months of moving in due to their delivery guys parking on it and driving on it 3 days after being poured! Blamed my movers.. um, was I not allowed to move in? Do your self a favor, research other builders as there is major quality control issues with David Powers. Wish I knew how to upload pictures of the damage prior to the repairs.::
