The location is beautiful, the staff were very friendly and helpful and of course the chocolate is the best! The cafe food was very reasonably priced and great quality. Definitely coming back once their new renovated cafe opens! If you get the chance, they have gourmet chocolate tastings for $3 if you don't know what to pick.

Nice views and ok icecream, only 2 sorbets to choose from today, bit of a shame. Ice creams very solid, not soft all way through like the many other artisan quality places. I think the rave reviews are probably intoxicated more so by the nice views than the product. Can't comment on the chocolate factory as it was busy and no opportunity to taste but all looked very nice.

Visited in December and it was packed. Lots of tourists plus locals. It was a hot day and so it was awesome to drink and eat cold sweet items. Lots of variety of chocolate and related items. There was some observation windows to see how the chocolates are made. Staff are nice. Items are not expensive and not cheap either.

I always get chocolates from here to include in my gift boxes for customers. The chocolates are always top quality and delicious. I have visited here a few times recently and customer service is always perfect from all the staff. I am so impressed with everything that this business is doing to keep meeting customers needs during the lockdown. a great business

This is definitely a awesome place to visit. It also has all the options to satisfy sweet tooth. Too much of variety in chocolares, many desserts they serve, many gift options to buy in chocolatier. Nice coffees, and ice creams are just wows.. the views down there are just awesome. Have more sights to visit nearby of one has time. But definitely worth a trip. Plus not far from Melbourne.. but make sure its immensely busy on public holidays... it was hugely crowded on boxing day.

This is one of the best place I ever been in Melbourne. Those who love chocolates it's heaven for them. You can get lots of variety of chocolates which tastes so good. You can even get your body wash body oil on different varieties on chocolates and other fruit flavors. The food and dessert tastes so good as well.

Standard tourist stop. Good simple food, friendly staff, beautiful outlook. Chocolate was pretty good. They have a set up showing into the 'factory' were they make the chocolate, would have liked to be able to see more of the process. Overall, a solid stop on the drive out of melbourne.

Nestled amongst Yarra Valley wineries, this would be the go-to place for kid-friendli-ness. Variety of chocolates for sale, cafeteria with inside and outside dining area, open fields for kids to run around. (balls provided by the facility) Try parking at the very bottom parking area on the weekends to avoid congestion.

Amazing location, great tasting chocolate with a huge range available. It was really cool to see the chocolate being made in the factory. Was really busy however and some products (such as the icecream) were way overpriced.

Went out to Yarra valley for a day trip and took a visit to the Chocolaterie. Despite its popularity it was worth the drive. Great cafe, friendly staff and delicious treats! The view from the cafe is incredible! I would love to see more about the history of the store and more experiences around it's manufacturing process. But very much enjoyed the large windows to view activities on the manufacturing floor.

Love this place. Always go there when we go to the Yarra Valley. It is a good break when touring the vineyards. Chocolates there very nice and the free samples help me decide what to choose. Seeing how chocs are made also a nice touch. Place is clean. They also serve yummy ice cream. Children and picnic friendly too

Lots of chocolates to select from. I highly recommend chocolate tasting available only for A$3 per person. There is a variety of chocolates with very unique flavors. If you are unsure if you will like those, free samples are available upon request. The staff was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly.

Very busy shop, or at least when we went there.. It had tourist buses dropping crowds off. It is a delicious shop that offers free chocolate as soon as you come in the door. It has a large window to watch the chocolate being made. It is also under construction if I was to guess it is to extend the dining area. Which will be a nice addition giving how packed and busy it was in there.

Gets very busy on the weekends but for good reason. This place has wonderful food and service. Great views, delicious chocolate and ice cream.

Car park can be quite the monster but it's worth the drive out there. I keep going back all the time.

Great chocolate and a nice little cafe and chocolate shop to go with. I have made a few day trip drives with my girlfriend or family and have enjoyed every trip. The price of the cafe is very reasonable and the chocolate is more expensive than supermarkets, but they are good quality products that you can't get everywhere.

Please don't be put off with reviews of "touristy" and "gimmicky" because it IS a tourist destination and it IS about chocolate. You can look at off peak times to go and enjoy if you don't like crowds.

A very busy place filled with tourists looking for souvenirs to bring home. The place offers a wide selection ice cream. We got a scoop of wild berries sorbet for $4.80, very yummy. Great view as well with good parking.

It is such a nice place to visit but the prices of chocolates are way too much. Paying $7 for 100g choc, I mean where did that chic came from. I have bought chocolate in Geneva cheaper than that. But I will still recommend a visit for the scenery to enjoy.

Ended up at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie after a visit to the Yering Station Winery in the area on this cold and gloomy day, just after the COVID restrictons were lifted, and was totally surprised to find the whole place completely crowded with the car parks overflowing. Either it is very popular or people so badly wanted to get out after the lock-down period !! Couldn't get inside as there were long waiting lines and the limited numbers inside at one time due to social distancing rules. So these just some comments from the outside after tasting a ice cream/hot chocolate from the outside booth. Nice place. Good gardens, great view, and would be lovely on a sunny day. The ice cream was very expensive though.

The number of visitors to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie on any day is testament to the popularity and quality of this place.
They have a huge variety of chocolates and a cafe where you can buy beautiful cakes, ice creams, coffees etc.
A must visit for any sweet tooth if you're in the Healesville/Yarra Glen area.

Pleasant enough tourist attraction. Reasonably priced meals, ok icecream. Not sure about the chocolate, though it is moderately expensive. Attractive grounds, somewhat marred by the 'No Picnics' signage. Ample parking, at least on a weekday.

Walls of chocolate of every possible combination, but if they don't have yours you can make your own with the kids. Cafe on site and large grounds with toys and balls for the kids to play and work off some energy! Beautiful surrounds and excuse for a day trip.

Very tasty chocolate is available and you can watch the factory from inside. They also do special events such as a hot chocolate month with 31 new flavors. Plenty of parking available in a nice setting. Was extremely busy on the long weekend, though service was good. Plenty of choice of chocolate for average factory prices - easy to spend $100!
