Ice cream here is really good. Its definitely a place to go and just enjoy ice cream with friends. Its not a life changing ice creamery and the chocolate store is really cool to browse but i wouldnt rate this to be top notch chocolate and ice cream. I gave it 3 stars as its a really nice place to hang out and spend time with friends, come here for a good time but do keep in mind its just ice cream and chocolate.

Nice place to treat yourself you will be spoiled with the chocolate. the place has a huge range of chocolates and also if has make ur own chocolate For kids. The cafe serves good food and also has good desserts.

The place tends to get packed on the weekend and it will not be easy to find a table.

The outdoor has a nice view while indulging in your meal.

Really enjoyed my visit. Free chocolate! They also have a chocolate tasting session which I would like to have taken part in so perhaps do some research and book before you go if ur a real chocolate fan. Great ice cream and nice restaurant - perfect for a family afternoon out (lots of children around!)

Love chocolate and ice cream? You need to come down to this place and have a look around. Free entry and there's a few free samples even. You can find some bizarre flavours. Good place to buy a gift for someone... Or yourself. The ice cream is really good too with a huge variety.

Immediately upon walking in the door you are greeted with 3 big bowls of free samples of Pastilles. Taking a handful, your eyes then raise to take in the rest of the room, and you have to consciously stop yourself from drooling!

Chocolate! In all sorts of combinations and at pretty much every price point guarantees you will find something. It's pretty damn good chocolate too! Oh and the ice-cream shouldn't be given the cold shoulder either.

The cafe area is pretty expansive with lots of outdoors seating. The only negative here is the cost of things at the cafe. Yes the cakes are fairly big and they come with cream and a "shot" cup of gooey hot chocolate, but the size/price could be dropped considerably.

The staff though are outstanding! Cheery, smiling, pleasant - and that was on a day when the place was absolutely packed, and they were running around like mad!

Well worth the drive.

A worthy trip for all. Albeit busy on weekends and holidays, if you visit outside meal times you re likely to score a seat on the deck overlooking the valley vineyards - a view equally worth as savouring as a hot chocolate or coffee. Tasting stations are a hive of activity, and you can watch chocolates being made through the viewing windows. Sandwiches are ok, pizzas good, but the true winners are obviously the desserts.

Words can not explain how amazing this place was.

Words can not explain how amazing this place was.

We came out of our way to stop off here for our 10 year anniversary and we are NOT disappointed.

The selection of chocolates and other treats is enormous, the fact you can taste test the chocolate or ice cream before you buy it makes it easier to know what you want.

For $3 you get access to a kitchen where you taste the finished products that are on the shelves.

I recommend stopping by for a good hour or two.

A great place to take the kids for an outing. The chocolates and the ice creams are great and there is a really large outdoor lawn area for the kids to play. There are a few farm animals as well, fenced away. Absolutely loved this place.

Very very busy during the holiday season. This didn't keep us from loving the free samples, sitting down and having a drink. Very touristy and more like a shop, I was hoping to see more of the actual factory.

Note- the hot chocolate is not melted chocolate like at Max Brenner, but a glass of milk to which you add your melted chocolate. Even if you're ordering dark chocolate (hoping to avoid milk) you'll be getting milk.
Be sure to ask for soy if you're lactose free or vegan.

BARRY Callebaut Chocolate remelted and moulded, handcrafted and added flavours irs quite nice

But

Make your own from the origin beans

You have some great Chocolate flavours and a shop in the city or the airport would be great, your chocolate is better as Haigh's just difficult to get

Massive icecreams, delicious chocolate, yummy drinks... and masses of customers, especially at the weekend. Prepare for crowds at busy times, but once you've bought your fare, retreat to the lawn to soak in the Yarra Valley views. Beware: the prices are not cheap for most items!

Bustling and sweet, the chocolaterie has become quite popular.

Located on a spot that looks over a vast and expansive mountain view, the scenic points are amazing.

Many car parks and huge grassy areas that are great for a picnic I would highly recommend during a sunny blue day.

However, as we are in a pandemic there are things I will mention: masks were worn by all employees and signs to notify visitors to wear masks. But what use are signs and rules of they aren't enforced? Unfortunately there were quite a few people not wearing masks with their families while visiting, which was concerning as the place is popular with little opportunity to social distance.

The restaurant had a nice varied menu with a plethora of savoury to sweets. As this is a chocolaterie I would recommend something with sugar in it.

Overall it's a great place to visit with friends and family, a good rest stop for if you're planning to go further along the drive to the wineries or just to bask in the expansiveness of this sunburnt land.l, just remember to mask up haha.

You can find a lot of different types of chocolates around the shop, there's a cafe on one side and on the other side is a glass panel and behind that you will see how the chocolates were made. They also have ice cream with very nice selections.

The staff were friendly. There was someone who introduced a range of chocolate called valley bush tucker that was her favorite and it ended up as my favorite as well.

It was a great experience and i would love to go back.

I love chocolaterie & ice creamery! I love to share this place to all my guests. Everytime when I take the tour group to Yarra Valley for the winery tours, because I always talk about wine tasting, especially I mention red wine are nice to go with some nuts, chocolate based desserts. I always request to guests to engage with me then I take them to here as a reward.

Wonderful place to drop in, have a look around and indulge. While we were there they were giving out samples of some of their speciality chocolates, such as Turkish delight, and choc covered pretzels. Stacks of products to choose from, as well as a selection of ice creams and gelato, plus a cafe!

Im betting Jessica Whipp didn't visit the Chocolaterie.
Because if she did she would have seen the amazing amount of single 'hand made' chocolates that aren't wrapped in single use plastic. Once purchased they are placed into a paper bag for you to take home. But hey! don't let the truth get in the way of a good soap box lecture, hey Jessica?

Excellent place to stop and sample good chocolate. An amazing selection of flavours, some very controversial but very interesting. They also offer local flavours from the Australian Bush which are nice.
Breakfast is definitely recommended, especially the full one with the pork and chocolate sausage, nicely balanced flavours
