I would not stay here. Rooms to small. Walls to thin. Know better do better.
I would not stay here. Rooms to small. Walls to thin. Know better do better.
The standard king room is a bit dated with dirty carpet, dirty bathtub, some broken furniture. All in all very nice employees and quick elevators and clean public spaces but my room was not great.
Nice enough hotel, and easy to get around but there arent many restaurants nearby. I walked about a mile to shopping and a mile to a cute area of town, near the old prison, where there were restaurants.
Although the room was a little dated the friendly, eager to serve staff more than made up for it. Great location for visiting the tourist attractions and at half the price of some of there local competitors I would say it is a bargain. The breakfast buffet was fantastic too.
We had valid parking. It took over a hour for us to get our car.
Nice staff (mostly), wonderful location, but cleanliness and maintenance leave a little to be desired
I was skeptical at first due to the poor reviews but I also good reviews so I wanted to give this hotel a chance. First, check in is at 3PM, I was running late so I called at 2PM to advise I would be late. Before I could get a word in I was told to please hold, ok no problem. However I was on hold for 25 minutes. As I m on hold, I called with a different phone and was able to speak to someone. I figured they probably forgot I was on hold, no problem. I arrived to the hotel I stopped at the sign that stares stop here for valet parking . I see 4 associates standing and talking to each other. I waited 5 minutes, perhaps they were discussing something important work related. No one approached us. After 10 minutes my mother had to get out of the car and approached them. She asked the process of receiving valet parking. We were told $50, ok no problem. After checking in with the front desk. We saw our car still outside the hotel, the keys inside and engine still on. I had to ask if anyone is going to park the car or just stand there. I was advised they will. Went upstairs to my room. Per the last review, I was under the assumption that the room renovations were complete (what sold me to believe it must be ok). Nope, there are blood/red stains throughout the entire room (disgusting). the bedsheet has what I hope are coffee stains as well. Im checked in right now and this will be my last and only time ever coming back. Save your money and spend it elsewhere. Worst hotel I have stayed at.
Poorly run, front desk consistently has long lines, hallways and rooms are not kept clean, floors often wet, trash in lobby goes unaddressed. Experienced is subpar and not worth the expense. Consider other hotels if you're coming to the area and avoid hosting events here at all costs
Beautiful hotel. Parking situation is a little rough. The mattresses are hard but it's exactly what my back needed. Also, great central location near the Franklin Institute and plenty of museums.
The bed sheets in the hotel room were not washed, with stains and black hairs covering the comforter. The floors were old and stained. There are holes in the walls and the edge of the door is all beat up. Looks like they didn t even bother to clean the room before new guests. Would not be surprised if this hotel had bed bugs due to the lack of sanitary matters taken.
My check-in took 10 minutes due to the line and only two front desk agent. FD agent offered no pleasantries and didn t apologize for the wait. The next night there was a line as well. Not a nice start to what would ve otherwise been a fine stay.
The room was great and the service from the staff was excellent
Room was dirty, stained, and had hair all over the bathroom. The location is fine but that is about all that i can say good about the place. You have to pay extra for wifi. The rooms do not come with a fridge. The staff is less than concerned about your needs. And to top all that off someone there decided to charge my CC an extra 108.83 for no reason at all. you would be better off finding a hotel somewhere else.
Great venue centrally located. Only 20 minutes from the airport.
The hotel was a bit outdated but nice. It s in a very convenient location. I walked to all the places I wanted to visit. I was very disappointed to learn DURING CHECK-IN that the pool was closed. I definitely wouldn t have booked here had I known that. Front desk blamed it on me booking through a third party. Very annoying. Just pay a few more dollars and stay somewhere else.
Great location! This hotel has all the services. The decorations are a little dated, but it's a very functional place
I used the Sheraton parking garage because it was a good price for center city when using the Parking Panda app. The garage was fairly clean for a garage. I did use the hotel lobby to access the main street, and all staff members were very friendly.
Did not have complimentary breakfast or coffee. The bar was great and easy to get to parking.
Little cleaning in general. It needs major maintenance. Especially the elevators worked 3 out of 6 and at peak times people came down the emergency stairs with suitcases after waiting on the floor for more than half an hour. The next room leaked water and they kept the fans on all night. The staff is courteous the location is good
The hotel is very old, ac is old, bulky and loud. Washroom is like from 1980. I will not stay here again.
I rarely write reviews but felt the need to warn fellow travelers- the location is great but this hotel is not worth the exorbitant price. Next time I would rather stay farther away from my event and use the savings to uber in.
The double beds were child sized - we could only fit one person per bed. My tiny 10 year old couldn't even share with grandma so we had to make a bedroll for her on the floor. I started having back spasms from trying not to fall out of the bed all night so I wound up "sleeping" in the chair.
The rooms had a general sense of age and disrepair - our room phone didn't work, the toilet was temperamental, the a.c. unit sounded like a small plane taking off all night, there are stains all over the walls, and the carpet is pulling up into ripples which is not good for people with mobility issues. This hotel is definitely due for a renovation.
The hotel staff is fantastic though! Courteous, professional, and quick to help. I wish I could give the staff 5 stars.
My general review: budget motel room with a 5 star price.
Holiday party. Food was good with a simple menu. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was a little lumpy. Most of the staff was friendly, however check in guy said he would text us when the room was ready and never followed up.
Good to see the old Sheraton getting a face lift. The staff is super friendly during the renovations. I ll definitely be back.
I was embarrassingly kicked out of my room and left to wait in the lobby for no reason. I am disappointed and saddened by the blatant disrespect .
hot chicks, i didn't see any dead bodies so its all good, i bent a hot girl over and gave her a juicy chicken mcflurry fat kid triggered meme burger and it was blessed by jesus himself
Had a block of rooms for our wedding and ran into some hiccups, but we were glad we didn t have to meet a quota and even got a room upgrade for my husband and I. This gift was waiting for us in our room after our wedding super sweet!
Lukewarm Showers. That pretty much sums of our stay in this hotel. I recognize they are in the process of a renovation and a lot of the lackluster other features will be fixed, but of my colleagues (3 different rooms on 3 different floors), none of us had a hot or even warm shower in the 3-4 nights we stayed at this hotel.
The room is not great, but the employees here are wonderful. The TV is terrible. It cuts in and out constantly.
The housekeepers are probably the nicest people there with a nice city view on the high up floors I loved this hotel
It has bed bugs and blood stains on mattress and all they room attendants do is put covers over the beds. They are all over the rug throughout the whole hotel.
Our room looked nothing like the pictures online at Expedia. They had the pictures of the corner rooms instead of the suite rooms so that is what we were expecting. When we arrived and it turns out we were in a suite, I was a bit disappointed as it was just 2 hotel rooms with the wall knocked down, essentially. When I called the front desk, they said they have no control over what Expedia puts on their website. Shouldn't it be 201's responsibility to make sure all info about them online is correct?
The TV in room 2001 was hanging off the wall, looking like it was about to fall off at any moment. The 2nd shower did not get hot enough to shower with. The breakfast was confusing as it was supposed to be included with our room but we still got a bill after breakfast with zero explanation. I had to go ask an employee at the hotel why we were getting a bill. They explained that we were just supposed to write our room number down. It made little sense, and I can only imagine the number of people who blindly paid for a breakfast meal without a second thought.
All in all, our stay was certainly NOT worth the $175 per night price tag. Also, $55 a day for parking? Have you lost your minds?
It was good. The rooms are very clean and the pool is beautiful. The people are friendly, and the food is good
Very clean, and excellent hospitality. Next time I'm in Philly this is where I'm staying.
The hotel is a renovated Sheraton. The hotel is pretty dated the rooms are otherwise small and sort of cramped however they're not all that bad. the hotel is pretty centrally located and the price for the room is actually very reasonable. As somebody who looks for a more upscale modern hotel I probably wouldn't go back however this hotel wouldn't be bad in a pinch
Very nice hotel in the staff is friendly and professional. You gotta love them!!!!!
Under new management ... swimming pool closed ... escalator broken ... janitorial service poor ... one room with 2 queen beds had only one bed frame ... some rooms being refurbished ... many ice machines removed ... parking expensive ... meeting space and staff good.
The staff was very accommodating, but the room I was assigned was horrible. There were no bed-side lamps, one lamp that was in the room didn't work, the TV would turn on, but I wasnt able to access the guide to change the channel. I decided to try the pool out in the evening and the water was cloudy. I'd probably stay at another hotel when I go to Philadelphia again.
Can use some updating. Quiet and not very expensive.
Nice big room and bathroom, big enough to move around in with a family of 4 and luggage.
Not the best. Room did not have all the toiletries, no bathroom rug, missing towels. Pool closed. I will not stay here again unless they pay me.
Hallways were dirty and dark, the main bed was ok, but the pullout was awful.
I have been traveling quite a lot, these are the sweetest people ever! Early check in, late check out no problem. Room service needed? Just on time. I love you people at Philadelphia 201 Hotel!
By the way, I got a fantastic view from my room at the 21st floor!
Room condition is older for a Sheraton, but service is excellent and the lounge is fairly decent.
For the price, I was very happy. It is an older hotel that is in the midst of upgrades, so don't expect five star accommodations, but overall I was very pleased. I went for a conference and this hotel was in my business' budget, and I'm not super picky about accommodations. I want it to be clean, safe, and comfortable. I understand that most of the issues with cleanliness were because it is old and it can be hard to make a room that has accommodated too many guests to count look spotless. I was pleased because the bed was very comfortable and after throughly checking here were no bed bugs... in know this sounds like a low standard, but you wouldnt believe how many nice hotels have bed bugs.
It is in the middle of town and walking distance to a large majority of attractions. It has beautiful views and the staff were polite and accommodating. Only other downside was breakfast buffet was overpriced in my opinion. Overall I was quite content and would stay here again. When you take into account price, if you don't care about being in the fanciest of hotels, this place is a steal!
Room was horribly musty and moldy. Food was not good comparable to a chili's or tgi fridays.
2nd time being there. Love it and very clean. However, some of the female coworkers were very rude to me.
A good hotel for our needs. Lobby looks great, hallways ate run down, but luckily our room was decent and had a large king size bed. For what we paid, I would stay again for an overnight stay
Pool was emptied for repairs. Rooms were a little dated and the halls were a little dirty. Staff was friendly and helpful. You have to pay for WiFi unless you are a rewards member.
Affordable rates. Helpful and friendly staff. ROOMS have great views of the city
It's a great Hotel with everything you expect but it does have a big plus it has a convenience store and tourist shop inside that will not kill your pocket like all other hotel's do! it's one of my choices for that "get away from the kids nights" :)
Wish they had free breakfast and WiFi, but otherwise is a great hotel.
Wonderful service, food, and great location downtown
I went for my sister's graduation. They a nice stage, mic, and speakers. Afterwords there was a concession which Sheraton provided and the food was good
Check in painful, not very clean room, breakfast not included ... Sheraton ...
Today I had an urgent matter that required assistance for a client I had staying at the hotel. Catherine Perez from their HR department went above and beyond to help me. She included other staff members who were also, happy to help. Its rare to find such good customer service!
Hotel to say the least indecent, dirty rooms furnished in the 70s. Shower curtain, not even the two Eastern European stars 30 years ago were so battered.
The room is fine but the conference meeting rooms are small and it is hot
The rooms are recently remodeled, the staff couldn't have been nicer and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. A+++
Some of the staff was very unprofessional and even asked me if I was going to make him keep coming to my room for room service....like that's what I paid you for duh. Also no mini fridge in the room. Parking is $50.00 daily regardless of the amount time you spend there. Room smelled funny. Air conditioner had to be set on 60 in order to stay cool. For the amount I paid I could have stayed somewhere nicer
Brandon at the front desk was wonderful. Beautiful lobby, but the other floors need work. Trash left in the hall and torn wallpaper. At first glance, the room was great. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had torn wallpaper and did not have a full set of toiletries. The guest booklet was empty. We had no channel guide, dining options, or what the hotel itself offers. The pool area was great, but the pool needs to be drained and scrubbed. In addition, the bottom of the pool had some sort of "bandaid" along it and uneven surfaces.
Went to an event there had a great time with the family
Toilet was broken. Breakfast not what I'm used to at a Sheraton. Temperature control difficult to manage.
Filthy carpets, 30 minute waits for elevators, ice machine is broken on our floor. One of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had.
Very clean hotel. They have good staff, every one was friendly
Was there for a conference. Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Not easy to identify nearby parking.
View from 20th floor is amazing. They need to start remodeling soon, things are falling a part in the rooms.
