Not yet Marriott's standard. The rooms and bathrooms need a good refreshing.
The breakfast buffet is very very limited.
The staff was very friendly especially the "concierge".
Great for visiting the Barnes Foundation and the Rodin Museum.
To return to Philadelphia, I would go elsewhere.

The worst ever....they don't do room service until 5pm I had to order breakfast from a outside restaurant and have Grubhub deliver it.....then I called for a glass of milk.and I got to go down to the front desk to get it....WOW..... The front desk are snippy and no where near accommodating.....I will never stay here again....

Sort of in love with this place. It's the old Sheraton converted once Marriott purchased Starwood. Not a bad restaurant, great location if you are driving to Philly and their parking is located under the hotel for a quick retrieval. Rooms are decent and it has a lounge.

Stayed during 2019 marathon weekend as a participant. Seemed like a decent enough place. Would have liked to have a microwave in the room.I fixed the loose toilet seat on my own, so there's that. But the deal breaker was no hot water. From Friday night to Saturday night the water ran either cold enough to numb the skin or lukewarm. Took an uncomfortably cold shower at 11 am on Saturday. It ran boiling hot at 4 pm, but cold again at 8 pm. Hotel says high demand caused problems with hot water availability. At 8 pm on a Saturday night. So we cut our stay short. We don't need much from a hotel, but this is very, very high on the list.

I attended the CFA Society Forecast Dinner here, didn't stay the night. The meal was amazing, bleu cheese crumble, walnut, and pear salad with raspberry vinaigrette, with a roll for appetizers. Then mole chicken with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Cinnamon cheesecake for dessert with a raspberry drizzle and fresh blueberries. Amazing meal by the Sheraton. Very attentive servers in the largest ballroom in the city. Oh, and the coffee afterwards was incredible. Loved the place, would attend any event there again!

Checked in. Nice room Nice hotel good staff I like it here. Not sure why there is no refrigerator in the room though.second stay here. No safe in the room. This place is over 20 years old without a face life. Its no wonder they are not a Sheraton anymore. Parking was closed. Semi-disappointed. Location is away from main shopping and best restaurants .It is food for some museums though.

I want to give them a break but...this hotel sucks. No late check out, food is atrocious and on and on. Skip it go elsewhere!

Get ready! This is about to be quite lengthy. What can I say about the Philadelphia 201 hotel? I think would have had a better experience at the bates motel or that hotel in American Horror Story. Atleast there would have been some form of entertainment. I don t know if you can see all of the reviews I ever posted, if you could you would see this is the first review I ve ever written. I don t write reviews I think that whether I ve had a good or bad experience I make a mental note to return or never return to that establishment. I felt it was not only important to write this review but my civic duty as a member of society to warn the masses.Upon checking in the lobby seemed quite beautiful and the lovely woman checking me in was warm and pleasant. I came to visit Philly from NYC to visit some friends and decided to go to get a hotel room. Anytime I go on vacation I stay at a hotel rather than Airbnb. There is something that I love about staying in hotels over Airbnb s, so as you can imagine I ve been in quite a few. I would have to say this hotel was/is (as I m still currently staying here) by far the worst hotel I ve ever stayed in, in my entire life. Upon going into my room I noticed that the carpet seemed a little dirty. When I fully walked into the room and began settling in, I noticed a HUGE red stain next to my bed, and then a black stain on the carpet not too far from that stain. So I thought wow they couldn t afford to get a carpet cleaning service in here to clear up this stain? . I brought bourbon and ingredients to make an old fashioned in my room while I was getting ready to meet up with friend. I remember passing some house keeper while I was entering the room. I got my ice bucket and stepped out into the hall to ask the women where the ice machine was. They told me the location and as I was walking I heard one of the house keepers say Girl, I get off in 10 minutes I m about to do a quick look around this room and if there ain t no dead body I m out of this place the other woman laughed and started discussing their weekend plans. This situation promoted me to stop what I was doing and go buy a completely new bed spread for my bed because I knew I could not trust the sheets. After I finished getting ready to meet my friends I went down to the front of the hotel to try to get a cab. I asked the gentleman where would be the best place to try to catch a cab he told me to stay put and he would call me a cab. As I was waiting I was standing next to two couples and an older woman and she told me that she had been waiting for 20 minutes and the gentleman had not called her cab and she s been watching him and he hasn t picked up the phone once. When I turned around he was sure enough talking to one of his coworkers and had not called the cab, which prompted me to walk to the main rode and get a cab myself. This morning I went down to get a little breakfast before I start my day and while the hostess was super nice and friendly and the server who poured my orange juice and gave me tea was amazing (maybe the highlight of staying in This hotel) the food was awful. After tax, tip, my bill came to 30.00. I have many regrets in life and one of them was paying 30.00 for that breakfast. I honestly should have gone to McDonalds and got a McGriddle. I returned to my room to get ready for the day and realized that last night I d gone through all my towels. I called the front desk to ask to ask for more towel and you would have thought that I asked the front desk to run to the nearest Target and buy towels for me because the woman on the phone acted as if it was the biggest inconvenience for her. As I m writing this it has been 45 minutes (I m not kidding) since I ve asked for those towels, resorted to air drying. As I said I don t like to write reviews and I don t like to complain(as I m sitting here writing this review and complaining) but I honestly felt it was EXTREMELY important that I warn all about this hotel.

The service was very quick as rooms were clean and cleaned quickly. Only problem I had was that my floor had a broken vending machine so I had to go up one floor to get it. That is a minor complaint however as everything else was great

By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at for business in 25 years of travel. I travel 3-4 times a month for work and in the past was an event planner and this hotel should not be a Marriott its a Motel 6. Dirty sheets with bad yellow stains, carpet coming off the floor and dust a good half inch thick. Disgusting. I asked to move and the front desk did so quickly with not hesitation, which is great. The new room had not stains on the sheets but the rest remained the same. I am a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member for many years and this location brings down the brand. Do not go unless they fully renovate.

Beautiful views!!! Anton at the front desk was absolutely caring warm and so helpful. Same with Donna that does breakfast. Such a fun place. I wasn't happy with the cleanliness of my room. At check out he was quite apologetic and caring about the matter. It made it right. And I will be back

Two weeks ago I received outstanding customer service, it was the best I have ever experienced in my travels and I travel a lot. The staff bent over backwards to please you the rooms and bed where very comfortable you have to read my sorry.
Let me tell you my story, I drove from Texas it took me longer than i had expected to get there. I call ahead to let them know I would be a day late. When I got there, there was a mix up and the gave my room away, but Ngia the front desk Person talked to the manager Arvel Hall and they put me up in the Westin in an upgrade room free of charges parking included. Ngia told me when I come back the next day he would take good care of me. When I came back to check in the next day I talked with another outstanding front desk person named Mousaab who had all the information that Ngia had communicated to him so that I wouldn't have to go through the whole story again (to have that kind of responsible staff where they actually communicate to each other now that in its self was outstanding). Mousaab gave me an upgraded room and free parking as well as two free breakfast buffet tickets to their Restaurant. THAT'S NOT ALL IT GETS BETTER, I had a trailer attached to my truck and knew that I would probably have parking issues. That's where the next outstanding service person came in to help. Her name is Jennifer she is over parking she was very attentive to my parking dilemma and arranged for me to park my trailer a crossed the street from the hotel and reimburse me for the parking in keeping with the promise of free parking and valeted my truck for me at the hotel (everyone one was on the same page unbelievable). UNBELIEVABLE OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE SHERATON DOWN TOWN PHILADELPHIA PA., I WILL ALWAYS STAY AT THIS PARTICULAR HOTEL WHEN EVER I VISIT PHILADELPHIA. Now let me say that my case was unique but I believe that even without the mix up this staff would have given the same effort to me even without the extra given. Other hotels can only wish to have a great customer oriented staff like the one that exist at this Sheraton. Great!!!!!!! Job sincerely Jerome D. Carter Austin/Elgin Texas

Just a quick note of thanks after our recent stay at your hotel in Philadelphia. Our stay was made all the better by the outstanding service offered to us by Mary at the concierge desk. Our every question was actively listened to, actioned and responded to with the most wonderful enthusiasm and attention to detail. Mary was absolutely professional in every thing she did, she is a credit to herself and your hotel team. If distance was not such a problem I almost certainly would be trying to head hunt myself, however the commute to Wales, UK just might be a bit of an issue for the two of us!

Congratulations also must be given to Amir at the check in desk who was very polite, courteous and again a credit to your team.

We enjoyed our short stay in your fantastic facility and beautiful city and hope to revisit again soon.

The room is spacious and clean, the hotel is well placed, the view from the excellent room. Customer service at very good reception. I've been interacting at the reception with Christopher Perez, customer service of note 10. Instead, it seems to me a bit distraught not to have free internet in the room. It is the Internet and the hotel costs the internet. I recommend a review of hotel policy on this subject.

You guys who's read my reviews before know that I try to be as honest as possible. First I walked in and booked a room. I asked for a single queen and ended up with a double. This in itself isn't a problem. I booked for two nights. When I get back to the hotel later the next evening I'm told that I'm checked out! So I had to rebook. I complained that the water wasn't hot and was given a different room. By the time I packed and got to the new room there was another gest right behind me who was booked for the same room. So I had to go back down to the desk... Im booked to stay until Friday. Hopefully nothing else will go wrong.

Not sure why this place had such bad reviews. The location was great. It was very close to the museum and park. The pool was under renovation, but that was not a big deal. The rooms are nice and newly renovated and the staff was accommodating and friendly.

I'm really not sure why there are soooo many bad reviews, I had a great stay, service desk was very helpful. The women checking us in wasnt the nicest but it was fine. I got a pretty good deal for being in center city on a thursday night (76$ with taxes and fees) everything was clean, they had Starbucks coffee and tazo tea set up in our room. Pretty nice view. Clean sheets. TV worked well. The bed was a bit odd and loud... specifically the springs in the mattress but it was fine ya know. Anyway, recommended if you can get a good deal.

The staff is fantastic, all around. The hotel itself is definitely undergoing some changes, but we booked through a third party site, so you never know what you'll get. The place was riddled with children during our visit, but that's their parent's fault.

I agree with everyone else who left a negative review. The first room I was given had a foul odor. The second room seem clean until I turn the sheet back and saw blood stains. I call downstairs to a unpleasant front desk agent who was having issues with another customer. She then proceeds to give me the wrong items.

The hotel was provided to us as part of he Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade. The rooms were nice, but our biggest complaint was that there was no complimentary wifi and the pool hours were not very long or easy to find.

First the good: the room was clean and well maintained, staff were courteous and professional, and the food at the restaurant/bar was pretty good. However-- this hotel is under renovation, so it's a mix of shabby, new, and under construction. It's also located on... what might be politely termed an "income boundary," ( large presence of homeless people and boarded-up stores) so there is definitely a preferred way and a not-preferred way to get to the restaurant district/ convention center. Make two left turns out of the hotel front door and you'll be fine. Don't turn right-- if you go past the little Orthodox church you've gone the wrong way.

Wish I could give this place zero stars. Room smelled horrible. Closet door & curtains were broken. Rug was nasty. Sink and tub were clogged and filled up with water. The Bell hops were the only kind staff I interacted with. I've stayed in nicer rooms for a fraction of the price. They do have a pool but I didn't get a chance to check it out. The location is decent close to Ben Franklin Parkway, City Hall, Love Park, Suburban Station. Short walk to center city and Redding terminal market. Even so, I would not recommend this place.

You re better off at a hotel that costs a little more but has free parking. We had a Band aid in our bathroom. Got two double beds instead of a king and then was told there was nothing they could do and beat part yet is THEY CHARGED ME TWICE AND HAVE YET TO REFUND ME! I have been told three times it will go back into my account and still nothing. There are plenty of options of places to stay in philly. Look around this ones not it

I was at the Sheraton for an event recently. The staff was extremely kind and patient and the food was wonderful. I was extremely pleased to find that they had pureed meal options readily available for my peers with dysphagia. Thank you, Sheraton!

I come to Philly often for business travel. I get disappointed every time I stay at Sheraton. Other hotels were all booked in the area, so had to stay here again and another disappointment.

I stayed here overnight because of the convenience of the location and the price. But it was packed with families and kids. It also lacked a sufficient number of people to make the check in process move quickly. Even the elevators were packed. I wouldn't necessarily be eager to stay here again although nothing about the hotel was particularly bad, just nothing was particularly good.

This is a hell hole to stay in for a Marriot property. Don't waste your money!!! Both times I've given it a try I was kept awake by paper thin walls of people having parties and walking up and down the halls all hours of the night. The staff is less than helpful and overall worst hotel experience ever. The breakfast is over priced and not even as good as the free breakfast other hotels offer for free.

I stayed here for 4 nights....my first night was horrible. The front desk rep lyed and said they would let me know when a fresh clean room was available. I waited 3 hours before I went back to the front desk to find out the last rep didn't do anything to assist me to get a room. It was so bad...the new front desk rep gave me 2 days of free breakfast. The breakfast and service werent great either. The waiters don't come to your table...you have to go and find one. They don't tell you how to use the breakfast voucher. I had to find out by asking the waitress. There's no fridge or microwave in the room. The location is good but this ia not a fancy hotel. 2 stars because the concierge and the last front desk rep know how to do their jobs

I only went to the Sheraton to use the parking garage. It was a prepaid service (Parking Panda) that reserved my spot at a reduced price. When I left, there was nowhere to present my prepaid receipt, since it was self parking. The assistant was extremely helpful, and saw that I was processed properly

Stayed here while attending a large conference in November. I got up on day 1 and had no hot water to shower. I understand that sometimes things break and you need to get service and parts but this continued for the next 3 days. There was nothing communicated by the staff. There was no accommodation for the major inconvenience.

Overall bad experience. I would not stay here again not because the water heater had problems but because of the way it was gandered by management. As a Bonvoy gold member I would expect better service from the chain.

Not luxurious by any means and slightly removed from Center City and most tourist attractions (eg, unless you want to spend a few hours walking to & from the Old City area, which is where the Liberty Bell/Independence Hall/Betsy Ross House/etc. are located, a cab or bus is needed), but for business or similar purposes it provides basic needs that could be far worse, believe me. Walkable to the Franklin Institute, Academy of Natural Sciences, the Barnes and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Overall, could use a little freshening up, but for a night or two it s fine.

My experience at this hotel was terrible. The power went out in the early morning hours on 8/18 and I woke up very hot and uncomfortable. When I called the front desk, they advised only some rooms were effected and there wasn t anything they could do. The next day I went down to the front desk, and they gave me a breakfast voucher for some scrambled eggs and bacon. I called again over the next few days and the managers voicemail box was full. I called back to have the manager return my phone call in the morning which they never did. Upon me calling them back on 8/20, I was placed on hold for nearly 5 minutes and spoke to a very rude individual, who claimed it wasn t their fault so therefore, it wasn t their problem. I think it s unacceptable for a hotel to expect a customer to pay full price for a hotel room with AC/power in the middle of the summer time. I would never stay at this hotel again, absolutely pathetic.
