Smell in the closed room due to old carpet to be abolished not hygienic moreover not flat but with waves, dirty curtains, swimming pool not accessible for the rest we have not benefited from anything else

This is a very low budget hotel. Entering into the building, I noticed the windows were dirty, the floors had not been vacuumed and the trash cans had not been emptied. There were no washcloths in our room, the bedding was not clean so, I had to request "fresh" linens. Never again!!

The room was filthy! Layers of dust and dirt on the baseboards and carpet and cobwebs/dust/dirt on walls. Carpet was heavily stained and coming apart at the seams. The door lock/latch had been ripped off the doorframe and the deadbolt was not operable. Found some sort of insect pupae casing in my clean washcloth. Worst experience of any hotel I have ever frequented.

There is absolutely no way anyone else could be giving this hotel anything but one star!

My business colleague had the exact same concerns (sans bug casing) about his room at this same location during our visit.

We booked this hotel extremely last minute, like on our way from ct so we didn t have too high of expectations. The stay wasn t bad. The room was clean. Not especially big but nothing to really complain about. It seemed pretty bare minimum though. No one brought us fresh towels or anything during our 2 days. I d also say the hotel needs a little update. The carpets were stained and the wall paper was peeling in the hallway. Overall a fine stay.

I have come to expect certain things from a higher end property like Sheraton and thing location lived up to that expectation. Fantastic service, clean and all the amenities. Location is good for business travel. A warning for early birds -- it may take 5-10 minutes for hot water to get to your faucets before 6am.

I stayed here for 5 nights and I had a very good time. Mary and John at the info counter very awesome. They can book you on any tour. I recommend the city bus tour. Ladies at front counter are very nice also.

The location of the hotel is decent. The hotel itself needs updating in the worst way. All of the carpet is coming up and bumpy. It makes it very easy to trip. In my room, there were red stains on the carpet in two spots. Other guests had similar complaints and others, including their air not working and severely damaged furniture. The staff were very nice and the hotel restaurant is good. Just needs some work especially for the price.

Everything pretty meh and mild, especially given the price. Killer location. Really inexpensive parking nearby - dont park at the hotel!

Our trip was brightened up by someone lighting a bed on fire at 12:30AM on a saturday. Evacuating in your pajamas is a good time.

Livable, but not enjoyable.

This Hotel was amazing. The view from my room made it all worth it. I stayed for one night but I wish I could've stayed longer. I will definitely be back to visit soon and will make sure I book with you guys again. Thank you and keep up the good work.

When the companies build and promote a brand name,...

When the companies build and promote a brand name, customers have certain expectations when it comes to quality of product and the service level. Unfortunately, this hotel is a let-down for the Marriott brand name.

Location - The hotel is located at a reasonable walking distance from SEPTA's Suburban station. If you are flying into Philadelphia, you can take the train that will take you to Suburban station ($6.75 USD one way). Get of at the station and take the 17th Street/JFK Blvd. exit. Once you are in the street, the Google map on your phone should easily guide you to the hotel.

Amenities - I had a standard 2-double bed room. The room has all basic amenities - TV/coffee maker/towels/toiletries. The TV has all the basic channels as well as facility to watch Netflix/Youtube. However, the glaring omission was the mini-fridge, especially during summer season. I normally buy drinks (soft drinks/milk) during my stay that I would like to keep them cool, but unfortunately there was no way I could cool down my drinks in the room. The hotel has a "gift store" that sells drinks and chips, but obviously at an inflated price. The beds/mattresses are OK, but I found pillows too big.

Building and Cleanliness - The hotel interior looks bit old and tired. The passage from the side street that takes you directly into hotel is carpeted, but the carpet is old and smelly. The rooms were OK, the bathroom was in need of touch-up and renovation. The water pressure was sufficient, although I ended up without hot water one morning. However, the hotel quickly sent someone after complaining - turns out, the hot water system had been reset.

Neighbourhood - The biggest inconvenience with this hotel is its proximity to restaurants/coffee shops. While the hotel has its own coffee shop that will sell coffee and other breakfast items, the closest breakfast place/Starbucks/convenience store or restaurant is a five minute walk away, which is inconvenient on a hot summer day.

Service - Two other reasons why I give three stars to the hotel 1) I attended a convention that organised in this hotel. The big convention hall was divided into two smaller rooms using partition, but the partition did not go all way through. As a result, there was a considerable sound transfer between two rooms - a major drawback for the attendees. 2) Meals - the hotel chef doesn't understand the concept of a vegetarian meal - they think vegetarians are same as vegans. As a part of dinner banquet, I was served raw vegetables, bland quinoa.and vegan cheesecake. I didn't touch any of these items. Similarly, for the breakfast buffet banquet, the hotel ran out of breakfast items or could not replenish them in time.

The staff at the reception was courteous and friendly. No issues there.

To summarise, consider the location and the price you are paying while selecting this hotel. There could be better options available.

Attended Philly Pen Show. Lots of pens, great show. Hotel looked nice, good venue for the show. With all the people, the room got a little stuffy later on, but plenty of room to walk around.

Overall it was a good experience. I think the hotel is in the middle of a transition from a Sheraton to the 201 so some things aren't as well organized, for example there was no "Do not Disturb" sign for our room. They also didn't have free WIFI for guests. The lowest package was $12 a day for wifi. This location is clearly aimed more at business guests rather than normal transient guests.

The hotel was okay. The employees were nice and it s in a good location. The issues were the walls were very thin so you can hear the guests next door. Also, we were on a high floor and somehow flies got into the room. Only two, but so annoying.

The Sheraton staff was wonderful, but the hotel itself seems a little dated. The place was booked up so I received a double bed room (no problem there) but one bed felt broken - leaning towards one side. The shower had issues with temperature. Sometimes You didn't have hot water unless you turned it on and off a few times.

This is a large hotel with indoor pool, fully equipped fitness center and reasonably priced resturant, bar with happy hour on premise. Also it's right in the middle of all the major tourist attractions. Great resturants within walking distance, also within walking distant of the Philadelphia Convention Center.

This hotel has an attractive lobby and is in a good location. The staff are pleasant and try to be helpful. Basic services are lacking. There are other good hotels in the area to choose from.

This hotel is under staffed, dirty and I wouldn't wish my worst emeny to stay here. Apparently they start renovations Monday February 18,2019 and it's a good thing, blood on carpets in room, roaches in rooms and mouse traps in rooms This hotel needs help. I gave it one star because the at least some of the hotel staff was very nice.

Great value and great location. Short walk to museum district and 20-30 minute walk liberty bell and independence stuff. Did not try the food, I thought it was overpriced, so I can't judge it. Staff was helpful enough, although I would've liked more of them at the front desk. Always had to wait when I needed something or had a question.

Lobby bathrooms reeked of urine. This goes for the facilities off the gift shop as well as on the other side near the little computer center.

Pool men's room door will not shut and is off the hinge. No soap dispensary in there, either, so that's a winning combo: use the facilities but don't clean the microbes.

Room on 20th floor had peeling wallpaper, rippled carpet, and a shower curtain that smelled mildewy. Dust everywhere on top of the light fixture in the bathroom, too.

Amazing location and friendly staff. Would NOT stay again.

This hotel needs remodeling very badly carpet in the rooms were terrible some people rooms smelled and had no hot water in their sinks. The only thing that was good was the bar and it's staff.

Awful, awful service in the coffee area and the restaurant. It took me an hour and a half to get a burger. Buffett lunch was empty, with NO food replenished, despite assurances that it was "coming right out". I would never stay here again.

This is a hotel in the process of being remodeled. I stayed on the 4th floor of a 20(+) story tower. Room was clean but obviously circa 1970-1980's old. Only had two towels in the BR, no washrags, 2 hand towels, no floor mat, (+) soap in the shower but none at the sink. The beds were clean, and the electric/USB outputs all worked. TV was fine. 4th floor was very dark and murky appearing. Foyer downstairs much nicer - room and decor did not match floor. I was directed to this hotel as part of a large conference in town. I would suggest not booking here until mid-2020 unless you're not concerned about decor. While adequate, this was 2-3 standard deviations below most "higher end" hotels. When it was a Sheraton 6 years ago, it had better decor.

I have stayed here dozens of times, despite the lackluster experience and put quality. The whole place could use a substantial update, maintenance throughout. Some examples: no hot water, broken thermostat, and fire alarms going of in the middle of the night. Otherwise, it's basically the same as any other Sheraton.

Decent. Bed are soft and warm. Shower heads suck but I've yet to take a good shower at a hotel. Prices are reasonable. Hotel is never to crowded. Views are nice. I'd stay there again. Oh, the elevator was dirty.

I went to the conference and hotel was conveniently located. Organization Committee has that hotel in recommended list. Not adjacent to the Convention Center, but in walking 5 min distance.

Negatives: huge line to check-in. I was a little bit early (around 11.30 am or 12 pm) and was not expected room right away (check-in at 3 pm), but want to try since that is big hotel and I was hopping that some rooms are free. Lady on reception "pre-registered" me (took my driver license and credit card) and told me that room is not ready and they will call me if room became available. Needless to say, nobody called me and when I returned on 3 pm, line on reception was even longer. A lot of people were waiting nearby and rooms were not ready at promised check-in time. When I got to the counter, I got the same response as other people got : "your room is not ready". I started to argue that it is my second time here, at the counter, and I got a room. Perhaps, I was lucky, or, perhaps, personnel got instruction to give rooms to anybody who will express negative feedback. So bad, there were a lot of peoples from overseas who came to the same meeting as I am and got that "nice" US service.

At check-in time I have not received promo code for wireless internet, so I have to go downstairs and wait one more time in the longest check-in time I have ever seen in hotels.

There were no free breakfast (OK, but I spoiled with good service on other hotels chains).

Rooms a little bit outdated, but I do no care because I basically need place to sleep.

Positives: comfy beds and pillows. "Green" program when you room will be not serviced to save on water and electricity.

Stayed here for New Years Eve. Although check in was lomg, they were very accomdating. They gave out waters and snacks. The hotel itself is incredible. I just wish they had complimentary breakfast!

Very loud people right outside our door, there were like 50 of them, didn't let us sleep , I called the help desk 3 times they said they will send the security, they did not.

plus it did NOT have a refrigerator, and very tiny room, and even though we were 4 people, they had coffee for only 2 people I called them for coffee 3 times, they brought only cups after 3 hours.

not a real Sheraton experience !

Stayed one night and the room was clean but nothing special. We were in a room next to the elevators and at first thought someone was vacuuming the floor above. But it kept up and I realized it was the sound of the elevator mechanisms every time someone took the elevator. Hard to sleep. Also, the self parking was almost completely full.

18 people in line and just 1 sloth on a front. After 40 minutes we ve got room. There is freezing in whole hotel (lobby, halls, corridors) and I think I know reason why, when I turned heat on in room this smell comes out (smell of old building or old dusty carpet or mold idk). Couldn t sleep at night because of loud heater. Tiny pool. Small bath towels and only for 1 person, shampoo and all other stuff for 1 person. Black mold all over in bathroom. Weak water steam. Water doesn t comes out from sink, there is something stuck in there. No free parking, charging 50$ per night. Good location, but 300$ per night for this? come down to earth. Pastry s not fresh on a breakfast. No safe. No refrigerator. No microwave. No free WiFi (in 21 century?). Skip this place. deposit money still doesn t back, 3 months already.

The room was very dirty. The sheets and pillow cases had holes. We got a half used bottle of conditioner and no shampoo. We also got 2 stained wash clothes and 1 towel. There was stains all over the walls and carpet. Mold on the bathroom ceiling because there is no ventilation. The door locks don't work. The screws were literally just sitting in the wall. When I went down to the front desk she just giggled and gave me some wash clothes and shampoo. We never got the towels that were supposed to be sent up. When we checked out I expressed all this to the woman at the front desk. Not once did she look up at me or write down anything I told her.

I am confident my wife and I were bitten by bed bugs here, which despite everything else, makes this a one star review.

The hotel is high up, and we had a very nice view from the 22nd floor. Our room was pretty big. The lobby itself is pretty impressive.

I stayed at Philadelphia 201 hotel on Saturday night January 19, 2019. I choose this hotel because it was a Sheraton affiliate. So I was lead to believe that I would get the exceptional experience that I was accustom to having when at the Sheraton, but this visit was anything of such.
My television was unavailable for use. When I called down to the front desk my call was not answered after several attempts. In the middle of the night I was awaken to an alarm that had me evacuated from the building for significant amount of time. Once the fire marshal lifted the evacuation it took over an hour to get an elevator up to the 11th floor, when I finally decided to climb the stairs with a few other frustrated guests. After already being exhausted from climbing the stairs when I tried to go back to sleep I was unable to go to sleep until almost 4am in the morning due to the disturbing amount of noise through the night in the halls. I expected to be able to get a goods night sleep while in town and was unable to get such because of all of these unfortunate factors of my stay at your hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was warm & wonderful. My room was spacious and comfortable. When I revisit Philadelphia again and I'm in need of a hotel, I will definitely make a booking with the Sheraton Philadelphia Hotel. The hotel is also conveniently located near the Reading Terminal Market.

We stayed here for 5 days 4 nights. It is conveniently located to many great restaurants, things to do and see like Love Park and Rittenhouse square. These are all within walking distance. The staff was all, but 2, was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are older and can use an update.

However, I'm very dissapointed their Amenities displayed here on Google is not all what Sheraton offers. No free breakfast. No airport shuttle. No free WiFi (only in their main lobby). When I went to ask about shuttle service, I was directed to the concierge to book me cab for a fee. If I had known that prior to booking, I'd stay at another hotel down the road that does offer those same amenities for similar rates.

Nice hotel, however because there was a shortage of staff at the front desk, there was a delay in finding the location of the brunch event. This could have been posted (room/floor) at the front door!

Ok hotel in downtown. 3-star trying to be a 4-star. Rooms were fine except for cosmetic issues and, oddly, the rooms don't have refrigerators? Would consider staying here again but only if they were significantly cheaper than some of the other Philly hotels.

It was an okay hotel. I've been to better Fairfield inn Marriott's for like 1/6 the price but the location was pretty nice. Its near the convention center and town hall. Also right across the street from the beautiful LDS Temple. Parking isnt free and actually quite expensive. The rooms were average. They seemed older and could use a renovation. The people at the front desk said they were going to be renovating all the rooms in the near future. I would give it a 4 possibly 5 star when they complete the renovations.

Visited this hotel for a conference, but did not stay here. The food served at the conference was decent, not superb by any means but served the purpose well. The staff kept the refreshments ready whenever it was time for a break or meal. The view from the 27th floor is great on one side! I'd assume the room views would be good too. The hotel looks and feels a bit dated but is overall good as a conference venue. The lobby area has plenty of seating for quick meetings. WiFi was decent.
