Stayed for a conference so I had no choice in hotel selection. Outdated feel/look in lobby - felt like an older 3 star hotel. With that said, every employee was extremely kind and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. One negative about the room that I brought to the hotels attention was that the room doors don't automatically close behind you. This is a serious safety issue.

The issues that I encountered were completely out of the control of the management of the hotel. We stayed in a room for New Year's. There were tons of other guests in the neighboring rooms smoking all kinds of stuff inside allowing the smells to travel down the halls.

A pleasant stay in Center City. We stayed for two nights and found the staff helpful and the location ideal, just blocks from the subway and easily accessed via I-95. The hotel is certainly showing its age, but our room was large, clean, and comfortable, and the room rate was more than fair. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Philadelphia.

This hotel is disgusting. I travel for business and have never stayed in a Hotel this bad let alone a category 5 Marriott. It s terrible. It smells like mold, it s dirty, and not worth spending money on.

I stayed here for a week. The view they gave me was great right in the center of downtown Philly. It was in walking distance to the market, clubs and shops. The bartender was great as well. She knew my drink by night two. Ask for a room with a view of City Hall. I will stay here again when I'm in town.

This hotel displays poor management. The breakfast was very good, the bed was comfy, but the rooms are dated and Management was very rude to me and wife. I would never recommend this hotel.

Nice on the outside horrible on the inside. Fire alarm went off we were outside for an hour. Rooms were horrible a mess, carpet was dated, stains in the bathroom, pee stains on the shower curtain. The one nice thing I can say one guy in the staff was super nice. To top the weekend of we found a roach in our bedroom and had to get moved. Probably one of the worst weekends of my life.

When we initially tried to check in my wife was told that because I wasn't around (I was parking the car) she couldn't check in because my name was on the reservation even though she had her ID out with the same last name and had her credit card with matching numbers. They claimed it was security and that's fine but I wish it was clearly stated when the reservation was made. Our room was atrocious! Stains on the carpet (nail polish?), stains on the arm chair (I don't want to guess what that was....), the room phone didn't work and the bathroom door didn't close! I was not happy. Went down to politely request a room change and the staff was genuinely concerned, however it seemed that they had to go through this too often. They offered to move is to a refurbished floor but then requested that we get a free upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite. This room was perfect! I gave them 3 stars because they were extremely accommodating but we should have never had to go through that.

Was skeptical after some reviews but had a nice stay. Room was clean and comfy. Halls are kinda dark. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location good. Rooms need fridge & safe being you are in city. Parking is pricey but convenient. Food & bar were good. Coffee morning lady super nice! Overall decent stay.

It seemed like it was a hangout...reminded me of a 1 star Manhattan MOTEL. Didn't seem like they cleaned as often as they should have been with Covid still being a thing...didnt feel fresh. Only stayed because it was late

Bad. It is indeed very blah. The price is excessive compared to the service and comfort of the rooms. This is still the average of hotels in Philadelphia. Sadly. No wifi internet except a super expensive service. Really disappointed. But again it is very complicated to find better in Philadelphia.

If you see Brianna at the front counter, you can just go ahead and ask to wait for the next customer service representative. She has no concept of customer service and should be fired.

That aside, the lobby looks immaculate! Rooms however are in need of renovations with finishes peeling off every surface and carpets stained beyond recognition. The location of the hotel is nice, but there are hotels nearby in better condition at much more reasonable rates with far better customer service. This stay was quite a let down from the Marriott brand.

Summary: HAIRY, STAINS, ROBBERY - DO NOT STAY HERE
Details: We checked in and went to the restaurant in the lobby for lunch. There was a hair in my food. This was only the first offense so rather than make a fuss I just picked that part off and ate the rest of my food. When we went upstairs to our room, it was disgusting. The carpet was coming up, the fridge looked like someone dropped it down a staircase, there were mysterious stains on everything, and the sofa was shredded (I hope I can attach my photos to this review). The final straw was when we used the ATM machine. It took $43.75 out of my bf s account, but didn t dispense any cash. The receipt showed that the machine didn t dispense any cash (listed the amount dispensed as $0.00), yet the money was taken from his bank account. I finally had enough and asked to speak to the manager on duty. I told her what happened at the ATM and she said, Oh yeah it did that to me last week, sorry about that. It just does that sometimes. I couldn t believe it. I asked her, then shouldn t you put an out of order sign on it? She said, no, because sometimes it works. I was utterly baffled. I told her how disappointed we were with our stay, about the hair in the food, the dirty room, and now the ATM machine and all she did was offer to comp. us 2 drinks at the bar. I said I didn t want them and left. This hotel is cheap, and admittedly it is in a great location, but nearby hotels are only a little more expense and definitely, DEFINITELY worth the extra money.

Very dated and dark interior spaces. Walls and carpeting in the hallways is stained. There is no room service. Restaurant is overpriced and average at best. Location is great, walking distance to Been Franklin parkway, museums, downtown. Desk staff is friendly and helpful, although I don't know why they have a concierge desk, the attendants act like you are bothering them if you ask them any question at all, besides, this hotel offers pretty much no services anyway. It's a room and that's it.

The rooms were dirty, there was no hot water, the elevators didn't work, the ice machine was broken, room service wouldn't deliver and the staff was rude. Definitely not worth the $229 (+37 in fees and tax) per night they charge.

The room was nice, however old carpet that's rumpled, the pipes for the showerhead moved eveytime I touched them, the thermostat on the wall for the heat and a/c didn't work. Not what I expected for $200 a night.

Nice room and service but while I paid for a king bed I was given 2 separate double beds. The view was amazing and made up for it. Service & amenities are on par with other Sheratons I ve stayed at.

I had a great stay. Room was comfortable, staff were accommodating, location is convenient, price was excellent. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to check out all the amenities or the restaurant, but this all looked great as well.

Very Needed stay-cay! Check-in is easy peasy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is cozy, very clean and fresh. You will need to BYO toothpaste as they dont provide samples in the room. The Terrace American breakfast is amazing.

This hotel is in rough shape. Rooms are dirty and outdated, stained carpet, weird smells. I m shocked that Marriott puts their name on this one. This is one of those last resort type of spots. Lobby is misleading.

Great, spacious hotel, but the cooling system was not working properly the weekend of January 30-31 and being with around 4,000 other people for an important convention, it was quite a bit of a setback. Also, the food in the lobby is quite expensive. Regardless, it was still a nice hotel and I had a great weekend.

I'm giving this two stars because the room was nice and the price was good. Now....like all of the other reviews, the hotel is outdated and in dire need of an upgrade. Check in was quick and the room was nice and clean. Maybe it was due to the Superbowl, but there were a lot of young people and groups of people in one room. The room next to my room was full of young ladies who were partying, HARD! Music was blasting and noise was loud. Security was called to the room multiple times. The music was turned off for a few minutes but came back on once security left. At 2AM there was a big fight in the hallway. We complained to management when we checked out and they gave us a discount on the room, which was only right. Again, maybe it was due to the Superbowl but I would be leery about staying at this hotel again.

I stay there 2 nights. They haven't clean my room. No fridge in the room. They even charge me a extra fee on my credit card. I have no clue why. Room are dated. I have made a complain on the website about the extra charge. Never got a feedback.

I was surprised by how bad this hotel is considering it's a Sheraton hotel. I've stayed at other Sheraton hotels and they're much better. The location is good and the bed is comfortable. However, the rooms need updating. The heater took a while to warm the room since there was cold air in the beginning. It's supposed to be a non-smoking room but the bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke. Also, there's no refrigerator or microwave but I can live without that. The wifi is very pricey, $12.95 per day. I doubt I will ever come back.

Writing this review while laying in the hallway waiting for my wife to return with keys for the 5 rooms that we are locked out of for the third night in a row. The line is all the way across the lobby at 10 pm because the entire hotel is locked out of their rooms. We are traveling with over 30 people and they refuse to give us a courtesy room. They recommended upgrading to a suite so we can squeeze in one room. Also had to change rooms due to filthy one they gave us. This place is a disaster

I stayed here back in January. Got in very early in the morning and figured that I would not be able to check in until mid-afternoon. First hotel that I've ever been to that has allowed me to check in before 8 a.m. The rest of the experience was fine. Pleasant stay, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was quite nice (though a bit pricey). The exercise room was temporary--the hotel is undergoing a makeover--but it had some important basics.

Visited a friend who was staying here. Rooms seemed comfortable, but were showing their age a little bit. Had some issues with the wifi, but was able to find a spot where it worked well. Gift shop was cute and convenient. Starbucks-slash-bar was a little bit confusing and understaffed, but there was a lot of seating and people who were there seemed to be having a good time.

Ok, I would say this is definitely not you best Sheraton across all Sheratons. You can usually find a few things here and there in you room that you can point out. In my room there s no fridge, the bathroom door has a huge sound when closing, and on the top of my windows a large part of the wallpapers are peeling off. However, nothing that I see will really affect a comfortable experience. The price here, especially for downtown Philly, is fairly reasonable, and even sometimes lower than any other hotels in the same level. All in all I would recommend.

I had to come to Philadelphia for business for four days and I have to say I had a pleasant stay at Philadelphia 201 Hotel. The staff was very friendly and when I requested a refrigerator in my room, it arrived very quickly without additional cost. I had the king size bed on the 17th floor and my room was very spacious!! It was quiet and very clean. The bed slept quite comfortable. The TV allows you to stream Netflix if you have an account. The renovation makes the room look so much better than prior to renovation. I didn't experience any food at the hotel, there were too many delicious restaurants within walking distance to enjoy. Overall I had a great experience and the cost was very reasonable. I did not have a vehicle so I did not have the burden of parking fees.

Hotel for the most part looks clean. The room was clean and check in was smooth. The price was very affordable and the area of the hotel is close to a lot. Valet for this hotel is over priced (45 a day plus tax, which averages out to 55). Tyr the parking garage across the street fromthe hotel. Hotel staff seem to be under paid or over worked because room service and trying to get in contact with the front desk was an absolute joke. The phone rang and rang. Thank the Lord I didnt have an emergency. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. I have never been to a hotel at minimum that didnt have one. I personally would not stay at this hotel again, but if youre looking to stay here over night the hotel is fine for a one night stay.

Upon arrival hotel looks very nice, when you get to the rooms is another story. Beds are small rugs are stained. I ve stayed in better rooms for cheaper prize. Some staff are extremely friendly. Others are not and they do not relay information right. Room service sucks. The worst place. I thought it would get better that I was just having a bad day. That wasn t the case. Took my daughter swimming cane back up to the room to relax and Oder food. They don t start food till 5. I do not recommend.

Well, a bit dated rooms, wireless only in the lobby area. Positive, however, that is a public parking garage on the other side of the street. Here you can save the covered parking fee of the hotel.

The customer service is horrible. I spent an hour on the phone with various people to resolve a billing issue. After asking for the manager on duty, I was hung up on, only to call back and be transferred between various people again.

I got a $99 deal for this room through hotel tonight. The normal rate was $225 for the night. The hotel staff was very friendly, room service was delicious, and the room size was adequate.

I had 2 major issues with my stay, cleanliness and room noise. The first thing I noticed was a stained carpet. There were multiple stains of different colors. I got the impression that these were old stains that should have been addressed a long time ago. When I took a shower I noticed blue soap scum on the shower wall. It was very nasty. (See photos). As for the noise pollution... There was a heater in the room that went off every 10 minutes, kept me up all night.

I expected better from the Sheraton.

Ugh
