Really cool little place. Good fries and brauts, good music, cool atmosphere.
Really cool little place. Good fries and brauts, good music, cool atmosphere.
Line was kinda ling but easily bearable great sausage and beer.. Needs soda fountain
Sausage and Fries the best, great selection of beers! way overpriced in my opinion and one thing I don't like at all, if I forget to order some food I will have to go back and stand the line that is a no no
My number one HOTDOGS place in southern California. Good beer selection and rattlesnake and rabbit hot dogs!!
They really skimp on the toppings - literally one bite of kraut on the last one I ate
Friendly staff, quality sausages, delicious Belgian fries, awesome beer selection.
Feel like this place is overlooked constantly. It's always a great time though
My kind of place! A must try for those who are sick of all the overrated hype for most restaurants. They have a great Veggie option, IMO huge ++++
Kind staff and delicious hot dog!! Awesome place !!
I had German food here for the first time outside of Germany and really enjoyed it. It's has communal seating so you're going to be sharing a table with another group probably. It was also funny watching other rowdy groups drink beer out of giant steins and boots. The line dies down an hour before closing time.
Good restaurant. Just difficult to find a place for the car
Beyond sausages now available! This place couldn't have gotten any better and now it did. I am a happy camper.
Bartenders are really nice and answer any questions about the drinks. The fruit beers are great
I had an excellent in this restaurant. We liked the great vibes and the food. The staff members were very friendly. I am content we finally decided to try this restaurant.
One of my favorite sausage spots! Very unique and tasty! Love the vibes here.
recommend the rattlesnake with relish and sauerkraut
Delicious & interesting selection of sausages & beer
How would of thought that you can get some really good bratwurst in LA. They offer a large selection of different sausages, also you can add two kinds of toppings on your hotdog, which are included in the price. They have some pretty good fries too
Wurstkuche has an incredible beer selection and their sausage, whether ordinary or exotic, are universally delicious. Last time I went I finally caved and got the rattlesnake and rabbit sausage, and was pleasantly surprised! Reptile tastes pretty good.
Their fries are also fantastic, and paired with their pesto mayo, chipotle aioli, or chipotle ketchup I mean OOH MAMA IS SO DELICIOUS.
Sometimes there can be a wait. On a weekend evening you can expect to be in line for 15-30 minutes, but it is worth the wait. The food comes out super quickly, and if you come during the week the wait is minimal.
Fancy, delicious dogs, amazing fries, chipotle ketchup, and beer....... Heaven..
This place is super cool vibes and chill place to hang. The environment is very welcoming. The food is delicious and tasty. The different varieties of sausages is mad crazy but it's drum to try something new.
Louisiana hot link
sun-dried tomato and mozzarella
4 stars only because i bought 3 beers and wasn't full to the line ,more foam that beer
Wurstkuche is an absolute LA staple that everyone needs to try at least once in their life.
These gourmet sausages are unlike any other place I ve ever been to. Everything is prepared in house and they have everything from classic sausages like Italians and bratwursts all the way to the exotics like rattlesnake and rabbit!
The first bite you take is exploding with flavor. It s going to be hard to put down because you ll be immediately hooked and not want that flavor to end. To compliment these wonderful sausages you MUST order the truffle fries. They are double fried and mixed with a light truffle oil that isn t too overpowering, but the right amount of flavor. I love my fries more well done than usual so this is the perfect order for me.
Other sauces to try: pesto mayo, buttermilk ranch, sundried tomato mayo, and the honey mustard
Amazing food but limited seating. Overall great first experience with exotic meats like rattlesnake, buffalo, and pheasant! Will definitely be back.
They have several choices to eat a different kind of wiener
The sausages are big and juicy. I couldnt get enough! You will leave the place satisfied.
Great craft place with stellar selection, knowledgeable staff, and is a chill, go-to place for drinks and/or sausage plates.
Great service, delicious food, and amazing beer! I had the vegetarian Mexican chipotle which was full of flavor, after adding the toppings it was basically a party in my mouth. The service was on point, it was fast and they were able to accommodate us easily since we had a bigger party. Although the restaurant was a bit dark, it was a fun environment with plenty to do nearby.
Great restaurant with an outstanding variety of gourmet hot dogs.
Great beer selection, even better food. The atmosphere at this place is really chill and I can't wait to make it to the Venice location!
My go-to spot in LA
I am a French Fries fiend! And Wurstkuche's double fried Belgian fries with truffle oil hit the spot every time.
The sausages are good too. I normally stick with the hot italian, I like my food spicy and it's also one of the larger sausages.
If you don't know what beer to grab, I suggest the blue chimay.
Will come anytime I return to the LA area.
I feel bad for taking so long to write a review on this place. But times are busy and I have a bevy of reviews that I have yet to get to. So, let's get this party started. My first experience with the Kuche was more than a few months ago on a Thursday night with a group of people. And since none of us had been there before, we were all collectively popping our Wurstkuche cherry.
In short, Wurstkuche is one of those restaurants that make you love living in Los Angeles. A simple idea of beer and grilled sausage brings happiness to the mass of Angeleno's and transplants that dot the city. What else can be said that hasn't already been written? Nothing. The sausages are that good at the selection of Belgian beer is that legit.
If you haven't been, tomorrow is Saturday and it's supposed to be beautiful day. Grab that significant other, that best friend or your loyal dog and take a trip down to the Kuche and do work.
It would have been a 5 but the male cashier with pink hair is so rude has zero customer service. I love how before you order your meal you get to order your beverage and drink while waiting in line.
The sausages are fine and there's a decent selection. The real winner here are the fries (with or without truffle glaze, doesn't matter), the large selection of beers on draft, and the butcher paper and crayons. Personally, I prefer the location on Lincoln in Venice, but they're generally mirrors of one another.
I love that this place can accommodate a ton of people. Beers are plentiful although they are mostly European as should be expected. I'm not crazy for the sausages but the fries are great! Parking is street parking only so you might have issues finding a spot.
Great beer + Great food + Great location = Great times. Bringing someone from out of town to LA? I suggest this place and after you can walk around to Little Tokyo or the Arts District.
People there were friendly, helpful, and beautiful.
Biggest variety of sausage I have ever seen! Bratwurst, bockwurst, Italian? They have that! Kielbasa, vegetarian, chicken? They have that! Duck, pheasant, lamb, rabbit? Yep, they have that and rattlesnake too!
Add a side of Belgian fries (like french fries, except better) and a delicious German or Belgian brew and you have the best meal in LA!
The Art District is a great neighborhood. After your meal at Wurstkuche you enjoy a beer at Art District Brewing Company or Angel City Brewery. If wine is more your taste try Pali Wine. If you just want something sweet try The Pie Hole or Salt and Straw for specialty ice cream.
I'm not a local but I'm in LA a lot and this is my go to place. I highly recommend it!
Come for a wide variety of bratwurst and sausages and stay for the even better selection of beer. This is an awesome place to hang out with friends and enjoy a few beers and have something good to eat along with it. There are a lot of other cool sites to see around this place so it's definitely an awesome place to end the night.
The hot dogs are the bomb, you can already tell by the amount of reviews. I don't eat pork so I was stoked to find the Lamb dog. It doesn't have any pork and it kills it. Imagine a gyro dog. But better. Get it with sweet or spicy peppers & onions and finish it off with a little Tzatziki and you are set on you way to heaven.
The vibes of the place are cool and if you don't want to wait in line, because there will always be a line. Go on a week night.
Great Service. Was asked while in line if an adult beverage was needed while waiting . Good selection of . Good selection of encased meats and non-meats as well. Everyone in our party liked what they ordered. Fries were great too. What stands out to me is the restaurant design. The space itself is awkward. With sharp corners and long walkways, but they made it work. Great place for a quick bite or to hang out.
First time here. I have to say I'll be back. Good stuff.
just love the place; great beer selection, wonderful wursts with tangy toppings!
little entrance open's up to oasis in rear
Always great and they have veggie options. Ac works but the place was still pretty warm.
Loved the place. Great stuff, environment, food, beer etc. Sad to see covid-19 shut the outside sitting dowm
This place has a modern vibe that fits most crowds but most don't know to cook. The bread is weak dry flavorless. The sausage has potential but it's over cooked with no adjustments available on how you want it cooked. Leaving all the potential of the sausage ruined. Also they still use pork sausage to cover the exotics except for two. The vegetarian dogs taste like they have been cooked in meat which they have been they weren't separated still like tasting dull soy and tofu with your toppings adding most of the flavor. Overall just another over hyped spot with potential. Then the fries help understand why they have sugar? Also the oil was old and over fried this place just doesn't add up to the hype.
Clean, unique, great food and service. Parking is terrible though.
Hot dogs are delicious including bread! I want to enjoy it with beer and come again
Great atmosphere and sausages. The fries are amazing.
So good. I wouldn't wait it a line for it... (Weekends are always busy). But being a local I don't need to.
If a 6 star review was available, it still wouldn't accurately describe this amazing place. Food was delicious. Beers were spot on. Customer service was awesome. Place was clean and inviting. Just go already and be hungry!
Excellent place to hang out with friends at night. The hotdogs are very tasty.
Sausage is a good choice, with mustard and other sauces, recommended beer, as well as French fries. because there have many customer, should choose be going to go there early, otherwise you have to line up or sit with other people.
The staff were really kind and accommodating, and the fries ('frites' on the menu) were excellent
Great, outstanding food. Out of sight beer. OMG! Wish they had one in KC
Awesome European beers and great sausages German style.
Are you in the mood for some good sausage? We'll come on down, they've got a great selection of sausages to choose from, the prices are fair, and you must try the fries with the chipotle dipping sauce! And we all know you can't have a sausage without a beer, they have a great selection of beer!!!
Hidden at the outskirts of the Art District, I come here when I am craving a fancy hot dog and some good beer. They offer a variety of unique sausages from rabbit, to alligator to Filipino style. The fries are also doubled fried and they have a huge selection of both dipping sauces and beer. It is a great place to grab lunch during the work day and a place to hang out on a Saturday night. If you come here on a Friday or Saturday night prepare to wait in line for at least 30 minutes.
I heard great things about this place, and had to give it a try, and man it did not disappoint. For one, I'm not a huge fan of German food, so I went in kind of skeptical, but after my first bite, I was totally amazed. I love how you're in this very simple place and nothing fancy at all, kind of like a typical hot dog stand, but the hot dog is anything but typical and bursting with flavor. I definitely loved it and plan to come back, the only thing that was disappointing was that I didn't have enough room to try all the other flavors.
I make it a point to come here even if I'm just passing through LA. Really cool place with good food and beer.
the line to order is awkward but cool spot with good drink selections. the sausages are a little too exotic for me but definitely give it a try.
OMG! The best hot dogs I've ever tasted, go ahead and try the exotic sausages, the snake is great
What a great stop, always amazing food and great outdoor seating. No regrets at all!
Always love coming here for a meal. The atmosphere is awesome and the sausages are delicious. they have lots of different beers to choose from and they are more than happy to let you try a couple before you order. You can't go wrong coming here for a meal with friends or coworkers, as the farm table seating promotes eating with groups. Would definitely recommend as a go to downtown eatery.
Great interesting hot dogs and great beer selection.
Great sausage, and crispy steak fries that aren't soggy. Need I say more?
Decent brats, good beer, great atmosphere! Pretty dark in the seating area.
Best place ever to get german hot dog (bratwurst) and of course best selection in German and Belgium beer. Never a fail favorite spot to come too!
The sausages were delicious. I took my children not knowing if it was kid friendly. They were the only kids there but really enjoyed the exotic sausages. We tried the rattlesnake, rabbit, and the duck. All delicious would definitely come back and try some of the multiple beers they have on tap there. The line was a little long but it moved pretty fast.
Awesome sausage and beer selection in unique atmosphere and great service
Great beer selection. Good food. Rattlesnake and rabbit hotdog=
Yum! Great vibes, great everything! Try the rattlesnake sausage.
