There was a. It of line when we got here but it moved very fast so don t be deterred. The beer selections is great and the duck and bacon with caramelizad onions and spicy peppers is really good.

Personal favorite local spot. Fries are insanely good here and I will literally wait in the damn line for them. Also just a nice variety of German/Belgian beers which is different than your usual hop-centric focus now a days

This place was reaaaally good. Didn't know what to expect fr a Montrose ramen spot but they nailed it. Really yummy ramen. Great sides. The chicken is the best app w beer. I would only say that the service could be a tad better. Service w a smile would be nice ;) overall a nice addition to the eateries here.

This a great place to stop by while visiting the Arts District. The have numerous types of brats to fit all types of appetites as well as a long list of beers to choose from. If you get confused about what to order, there is always a friendly staff member to help you decide and get you a beer while you wait in line. I like to get the exotic brats just because you can t get them anywhere else. The back area is fun with their long benches supplied with crayons so you can draw while you wait for your food to come. They usually have a DJ spinning his beats to the happy sounds of people munching away on their brats.

Ok so I'm vegan - and I wanted to try the options they had which are 3 I believed. Anyhow, I enjoyed the Mexican vegetarian but who in the hell charges for MAYO?! It's LA, no one charges for mayo. It classicallyg with bread and it's not a specialty sauce or dip or of that nature. I was very disappointed like then have the audacity to ask for a tip. That is something I will not ever understand. It's insane. Most places charge for an extra BBQ sauce or dipping sauce of your choice after your complementary one. That's not cool. If you're going to have a place in LA then do La style - don't bring another origin and try some new ish that simply doesn't make any sense.

Some great sausages. They have a good toppings selection for them and they will easily recommend a combination of them for your preferred sausage. The fries and more like a Belgian frit. Get the curry ketchup is perfectly balanced in flavor.

The best freaking hot dogs ever ... feeling a little risky they have an option for rattle snake hot dog as well! Plus once you sit down the have colors and you can draw on the tables. Really good place to go for a date.

Cool place to grab a beer and a brat. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and wasn't too busy. Great service. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We were able to get our drinks while waiting to order which is pretty cool.

The rabbit and pork was my favorite. You can definitely taste the unique meat taste. The Belgian fries were great. They were crispy and they paired well with the curry ketchup. The bratwurst was good but nothing special.

Sausages, fries, and beer!!! What else could you possibly need?! This is a great spot to hang out with some friends. Laid back and casual atmosphere.

You order at the counter in the front part of the place, get a number, and walk down a little hallway to the seating side of the restaurant. It is seat yourself style with indoor seating and a small patio with a few tables along the sidewalk.

Food Breakdown

Sausages:
The categories are: classic, gourmet, and exotic. They have the usual Bratwurst, Bockwurst, Hot Italian for those looking for a familiar taste. But I always go for the exotic flavors like: Rattlesnake + Rabbit, Duck + Bacon, Buffalo, etc.

They also include a few vegetarian sausages so everyone can enjoy eating here. And choose from their list of toppings like: Caramelized Onions, Sauerkraut, Sweet Peppers, Spicy Peppers.

Belgian Fries:
These fries are addictive. Hefty thick cut fries that are double fried for extra crispyness! My favorite sauce flavors for the fries are Buttermilk Ranch and Chipotle Aioli.

Beer:
With their extensive beer list of Belgian and German beers you could definitely kill a few hours eating and drinking here!

From the Bay Area, my friend I was visiting took me here. WOW! The food was DELICIOUS. The beer selection is AMAZING! And the customer service was OUTSTANDING. There was a bit of a line when we can there, but a super awesome gentleman frequently came out handing out menus, answered any questions, and gave recommendations. Once we got inside he was able to get a drink if we ordered. The highly recommend getting a couple of the yummy dipping sauce to try with your food. The food came relatively fast for how crowded it was. Oh and there was a bar inside the seating area so you didn t have to wait in line again if you just wanted another drink. PLEASE come to the Bay Area. Seriously so so good. Thank you!

The best Sausage you can ever have in SoCal!

The best Sausage you can ever have in SoCal!
Order their rabbit & rattle snake with all the sides as well as their amazing Belgium fries! If you haven t had Belgium fries, it is basically large cut potatoes, soft inside and crispy outside... also make sure to try it with their pesto mayo sauce... I have many friends who have had this combination and loved it! Also I always have their beer or Mister Cucumber soda which is also tasty!

Unique, but unorganized and over priced.

Unique, but unorganized and over priced.
They placed the menus by the registered, and blamed customers for taking long deciding what they want. (Well, why dont you put up a sign to inform customers how things work?? Or move the menu by the door??)
Hotdogs was good but small, extremely small.
Can't help to think should of just pick up a big bite at 7-11and be fed.

Like many popular places in LA that has line ups and slightly above average food, Wurstkuche is one of them. We check it out after a couple of friends raving about it. The sausages were gourmet, and unique. The beer selection was excellent. The best part was when we were given our beer while waiting in line before paying. When the dogs came out, it tasted fresh but nothing fantastic. The bun was very so so. A DJ was playing music in the beer hall so you will not be able to hear any conversation. We sat outside on the long street patio where it felt a bit like in Europe. $36 could only get us 2 dogs and 2 drinks. Save your money for some truck food or goto Vancouver's Japadog!

One of my all time favorite places to have a drink and meal with friends very good vibe inside and a great variety of exotic meat sausages. Their beer selection leaves u in awe. Even their non alcoholic drinks are a must try! I come here once in a while and will continue to do so!

the food was good and affordable for LA, but it s a bummer that they put paper down on the tables instead of wiping off the tables between guests. My friend put his hand in someone else s ketchup while we were eating

Fantastic little place is DT, LA. Loads of beer choices and a variety of sausage combos you woudn't typically see. Outdoor seating is available. Parking can be free in street side but if you pay, be sure to drive around to find the best deal.

Super cool spot with an amazing selection. Their fries are twice fried and tastes amazing. It was 5 mins from my airbnb and I am glad I went!

If you drink, they have a good selection of high alcohol beers

Get down on some wieners and Belgian/German beers (and/or a unique selection of sodas)! A few steps away from Angel City Brewery is this oddly shaped brick building covered in overgrowing vines. They had a wide selection of sausages, categorized from Classic, Gourmet, and Exotic. You stand in a long line, someone comes to you to take your drink order so you can drink while you wait. When they take your order, you choose 2 toppings for your sausage. I really liked my kielbasa which I got sweet peppers and grilled onions to top with. Oh and if you're into thick and crispy fries, this is the place to go. Didn't like how awkward the lining up system was as it was kind of confusing, but order came out quick and I liked that I at least had a beer while I waited.

Very cool vibey restaurant with a great selection of wursts as well as sauces. Pretty bomb playlist on, from the group that plays live in-house on certain nights. Unfortunately we went in the day and didn t get to head them. The fries were superb too!

Stopped in for late lunch/early dinner for Thanksgiving. Had the stir fried noodles with chicken. Sprinkled on some of the vinegar and it was selfish! Shared an order of the pork and chive steamed dumplings. Very good. Only drawback was limited drink selections. Very reasonable prices.

Come my baby, come, come my baby!

Come my baby, come, come my baby!
This place rocks on all levels. It's not called "Worst-Coochie" for no reason now. I once sat next to Skrillex on the outside patio, that's SKRILLEX, not Skittles! These brats are sooo freaking good. My favorite is the Mango Jalapeno because it's both a little spicy but it's sweet at the same time. It's also always very very moist.

The belgian fries are gnarly! I sometimes get them with just beer and sit around and hang out. They are fried to perfection and you also get TWO different sauces with them, my favorite being Chipotle Aoli and Curry Ketchup, but hey, don't let me choose for you.

Man do Europeans know how to have a good time.
The beers here are probably the best craft beers you'll get on tap in downtown LA. They have a huge selection of mainly German and Belgian beers on draft with some of them switching out seasonally.

Have a beer, have a brat, have a belgian fry and run into some celebrities.

From the first moment you enter this restaurant the waiters give you a pleasant feeling. Very courteous stuff, it is a happy place to pass time with friends and colleagues or with your date. tasty cuisine, creative chief cook and stuff, competitive cost and excellent service. Warmly recommended.

The food was definitely good and a unique experience with the exotic meats they have. The rabbit & rattlesnake tasted quite good paired with honey mustard. I ended up buying some raw sausages as well and the guy at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful part of the reason this was this was such a pleasant experience.

I remember when this place didn't middle road out. They had a pretty nice selection that didn't feel basic or average. I applaud their appeal, but they were much better before the mass production kicked in. Now the beers are still a great selection, but the sausages have gone blase.

It was a great experience with this Restaurant's offered assistance. Everything went very well the day I visited this place. They never fail me on my high expectations at all. I need to come back because it's a good one. Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure! No hidden charges compared to others.

Amazing sausages. Never had anything like it. Awesome building too. Kids friendly. They have paper table covers to draw on for kids with crayons. Lol I thought that was really cool of them.

We love hanging out. Last night we went to this magnificent restaurant which friends recommended to us. We passed a delightful evening there with great cooking and a nice stuff and a professional cuisine. We added this restaurant in our list and we will no doubt return very soon. We highly recommend.

If I'm in the area, I like to have lunch at Wurstkuche. They offer a great selection on sausages. The last time I went I had the rattlesnake sausage. Parking can be tricky as it is metered. If you are lucky enough to find a spot, take it. When you go in, you can walk up to the counter and order. Then you take your number and find seating in the back, it's cafeteria style seating. They will bring your order to you when it's ready.

Beer, sausage, and Belgian-style fries. What more can you ask for?

I counted over a dozen different types of sausages. There are a couple of conventional and "safe" classics for those who are not feeling adventurous. But the majority of the menu consists of gourmet and exotic flavors like Filipino Maharlika, or Louisiana Hot Link, or Rattlesnake. They utilize all kinds of meats, their sausages are made with pork mostly but the rest are beef, chicken, rabbit, duck, etc.

My order was Sun Dried Tomato & Mozzarella with chicken and turkey. I topped my hot dog off with caramelized onions and sauerkraut. It was tasty, but something I wouldn't get again. Decently juicy and flavorful with the combination of poultry and vegetables. Chicken/turkey was grilled nicely, but I probably should've chose a sausage that had pork instead. The additional toppings didn't add much really.

Paired with my hot dog was an order of Belgian fries, which are thicker and double-fried compared to your standard fry. They taste pretty good, and the portion sizes are super generous, the small is easily shareable with another person.

Not completely familiar with their alcoholic beverages, but there's a large bar in the dining area, mostly beer and bottles from Germany and Belgium.

Cool place to hang out and socialize, great food, and definitely a super unique restaurant you don't see that often.

This was such a treat! It doesn't look like a lot from outside, but inside this place is huge! Great dining area with individual and communal tables. The ambiance was super laid back and unobtrusive.

I had to get the strangest thing on the menu because with so many weiner options (lol) what was I to choose?

The rattlesnake and rabbit burger was an absolute delight. Flavour was great and the spice level was perfect. The fries were cooked with excellence.

I'm not from LA but I've already told many people to make sure they eat here when they visit. Just awesome!

The bund is way too thick and made the hotdog off balance, you will eat lots of bread before you get to bit into the sausage and u realize is way too salty and not juicy at all, which a good German sausage should be. Really disappointed on the hotdog. On the other hand the fires are a decent surprise. Over all is a good place to hang out with friend for a budget eats with beer and stuff but if u are expecting nice hotdog then this is not the place for u.
