Outstanding homemade sausages beautifully prepared...

Outstanding homemade sausages beautifully prepared and craft beers on tap. This place is a real treat. About 20 different kinds of sausage, some as exotic as rabbit and rattlesnake + the meats we're most used to like beef, pork and chicken; most with creative complimentary ingredients like apple and fun spice combinations. Multiple toppings to choose from and 5+ types of mustard.

Absolutely I had blast time with special guests from Korea. They loved food, environment, and music. Such a unique place for having a unique experience while having the world s best hot dog with listening to DJ s live music. Solid and extravagant experience for night snack and night gathering.

If you are not afraid to try something exotic and new, then this is the place for you! Great selection of exotic meats with a really nice selection of beers! If you are out and about in little Tokyo, you must stop here and grab an exotic bite.

You can easily spend $20 on a beer and hotdog here. I'm just not too crazy over it . Did I mention the fries are extras ? Weow. They should have like a taco Tuesday here except they won't serve tacos but sausages instead.

There is usually a line. Good part is that staff brings you drinks while standing in line..that was a first for me. Good music good vibes good people. The Hefenweizen is really good. So you order food then go and sit. There are long communal tables which I thought was cool, some people act uptight but most are into having fun or onto their own conversations. Highly recommend

I loved it! To start, it looks like a tight space but it is deceiving. They do have a small area to wait and place your order but that does not even matter because minutes upon arriving you re greeted by a kind employee who Immediately shares with you that the dining area is through the hall to the back , goes over the menu real quick and takes of any questions, but most importantly brings you beer while you wait. By the time you get to cashier you re clear on what you want to eat and you already have a beer in your hand! I took delight from eating here. They have good sausage and beer. Their fries are good too!

If you like Beer - real beer - GO. If you like sausages, a variety of sausages with different meats and spices - GO. If you like nice fun places to eat alone or with friends - GO. There are some negative reviews, and I feel bad that those people didn't have as great of a time as I did, but hey nothing's ever perfect so I must humbly ask you my dear reader to ignore the bad reviews. We know there are people who are high maintenance, snobs, and just plain jerks who never like anything and always have something to complain about. Listen to me and to all the many other readers who love this place. Listen, salivate and GO to this place. If we weren't in a recession I wouldn't write a review because I'd want to do everything I can to keep it to myself. Okay, great sausages, lots of different types, the rattlesnake was great and I can't wait to try the duck bacon and jalapeno. However the the other magnificent shining light from this place is the selection of Belgium and German beers. My God... it's.... amazing. Stop reading this now and GO. GO NOW

Wurstkuche has a little bit of a wait, but its worth it to chow down in a German beer hall and drink some excellent beers. The drink is a bit expensive but you get what pay for -- they carry some of greatest German/Bavarian beers this world has to offer, and then some. An imported, on tap quadruppel with 10.5 ABV is going to cost a little extra, but they also have some great 4.8 ABV beers if you don't want to get buzzed as quickly. Recommended if you like sausages, fries, and beers.

Good hotdogs and good tasting Belgium and German beers. They have a lot of options in their menu that'll keep you coming back to try them all out, unfortunately they get pricy and serving size isn't too big to satisfy an adult man but I guess you can call it gourmet hotdog?

I'd rate it 4.5 but I'll give them a 5 since the place is actually good for drinking and hangouts.

This is the most affordable restaurant in my area. The foods and other offerings here are well worth the money. The parking area is not a problem here also. They have a spacious parking area that can accommodate more costumers. This is a very remarkable and amazing experience for me. Highly recommended to everyone.

I just want to clarify that this place is not getting an "OK" rating because the food was not good, the atmosphere was boring, or because the service was bad. It gets three stars because, in my opinion, it's unique menu items lacked a unique taste and presentation.

Let's begin with what makes this place awesome and definitely worth your time:

Atmosphere - very lively, comfortable yet not so much that the conversations are low key. Expect an almost club-like atmosphere just before the music starts playing and people get up to dance.

Service- Excellent! When I went there was a line, but I was met with a staff member who not only handed me a menu, so that I knew what to order as soon as I got to the counter, but also took my order drink which was amazing when I was parched from a day at the beach.

Taste- Very good. Had no qualms about any of the flavors.

What I found disappointing was that the rattlesnake and rabbit sausage did not have a taste to really distinguish it from other sausages. If the taste is going to be similar, I would have hoped that at least the presentation would make it stand out. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

The vibe of the place was ok. It was a really neat space, but the staff wasn't all the friendly. I had the vegetarian Mexican Chipotle off a recommendation and it was really awful. I couldn't choke it down, despite it being expensive. It was dry, crumbly, and tasted disgusting. The fries were decent. My husband got the traditional bratwurst and was not impressed. They only had water up in the front and never refilled their clean glasses. So we had to share a small water glass and get up every few minutes to walk down the hallway for a refill. Would have been better to have the water in the dining area. I definitely won't be going back here

One of my favorite's in the city. If you like German food or just really good fries it is the place to be. Be sure to experiment with sauces, especially the curry ketchup if you haven't had currywurst before.

I ate wurst in Germany and Austria before, this place is as close as it gets to real thing of not better. Highly recommend. However for such a quality prepare to pay fair price of around 17$ for hot dog fries and soda. If not then this is not for you.

Great selection of sausages. Tried the rattlesnake and rabbit which was delicious. Their fries are the best. Large selection of beers and mustards. Open seating/picnic table set up so can be difficult with large crowds if its busy but we were able to reserve a table.

If hot dogs are your thing, then this is your spot. Good selection of products that feel lovingly curated. The downside: ZERO parking in the area. Be sure to get a ride to avoid circling the block for a half-hour. The atmosphere is cafeteria-style with long tables and benches; generally enjoyable, although it can get loud and rowdy on weekends with the hipster crowd. Go during an off time to enjoy your food and beer without the pretention.

Great hot dogs with great sauces. The place is loud but as expected with a bar-like environment. They also have a DJ playing sometimes in the back. The lines do get long, so be prepared to wait most of the time. Try out the different sausages and even the exotic ones. There's a lot of different beers to choose from, but I couldn't try them because of driving. You can choose two toppings like grilled onions/peppers/sauerkraut, but there's lots of different mustard at the seating area. There's also a lot of seats because they are long bench style. I will definitely come again.

Wurstkuche is one of those trendy bar/eateries that makes most of its business by word of mouth. There is usually a line out front on popular nights, but on a Wednesday night, it was an easy walk up. This place is deceiving at first, because Wurstkuche is located in a dark back road and through a garage entrance. Once you order your food, at the front then you pass through a long hallway to the large dining bar area in the back. The first thing that I usually notice about this place is the dim dim dim lighting. Drives me insane really, but whatever style moves this place.

-=-Rabbit Dog-=- The Wurstkuche menu is categorized into how brave you are feeling. The rabbit dog appropriately seats itself in the brave category. It's actually a mixed sausage with veal, which I'm usually not a big fan of, but I did not get that gamy taste that I deteste. There was actually a good spice to the sausage enough so that I did not need to dump any type of sauce on top of it. Try this out with an open mind sometime and you'll see what I mean.

-=-Houblon Chouffe Beer-=- There is an extensive beer menu at this place, which mostly focused on Belgium. The Houblon Chouffe was recommended to me as dark brew. I figure I needed something dark to go with my exotic dog. Had I been dying off the sausage gamy-ness, I would have been able to wash it down with a bitter beer. Didn't need any of that though because it all was delicious, down to the dog.

A nice artisan sausage and hot dog location in downtown Los Angeles. House made mustards and sauces. Excellent fries. Lots of interesting sausages like rattlesnake and three vegetarian and vegan options. Dog friendly patio.

Low key hangout spot. Food is really good as well, fries are amazing. Beers are fantastic- mostly German and Belgian beers. It gets a little loud inside sometimes but for the most part it s great. Fireplace outside is my favorite!! More than 25 visits. Love this place.

Sausages, beer, and frites. If you like any of those things you should like Wurstkuche. Basic bratwurst is excellent, esp with grilled onions. Lots of options for condiments, incl whole grain mustard and curry ketchup. Also a nice selection of German and Belgian beers. The lines can be long and neighborhood parking can be tricky, especially on weekends/evenings, but there are 2 breweries in the immediate area, so it's hardly surprising.

Love the fries and the beer selection. The wurst are good, the bun is just ok. Lines will be long during the weekend, and seating becomes limited as well. Patio closes earlier which can be frustrating when there is no where to sit inside. If you are willing to deal with this, then you can enjoy some solid dogs and some great beer.
