Had lots of fun with the kids, but the food court it s horrible the food is poor quality with the price they want to charge. The Mexican food court was horrible the cook starts smoking he s electrical pen while he looks so irritated of having us there disappointing.

The animal displays were very nice. The reason for the low rating is due to the amount of trash we saw throughout the park; it wasn't recent trash either. You could tell the trash had been there for quite a while. But probably the biggest reason for the low rating was the fact that the zoo didn't care at all that there were no parking barriers between the handicapped parking spots and the sidewalk. People were pulling all the way up to the sign to park, blocking any chance for my son's wheelchair to fit on the sidewalk. We were forced to push him in the parking lot to the zoo entrance. It wouldn't have been that bad, but there were a lot of people driving in the parking lot looking for a place to park. This made for a dangerous situation. When I pointed the blocked sidewalk out to a zoo employee and asked for a manager, I was told there wasn't one a available and that part of the sidewalk belonged to Dillon's BBQ restaurant. I spoke with the restaurant manager and he told me that he leases from the zoo.

I really liked it. Other then the rhino and lions hiding and not in plain sight, it was a really cool experience. The stingray petting is cool, feeding the giraffes and that ride that takes you around the park is real nice.

This is a wonderful Zoo it's a place I took my grandchildren there is so many things to see we spent the day there and I was wore out by the time we left and we still didn't see everything have to go back again to see the all the things that we didn't get to see It's a Wonderful Zoo for children and adults I recommend it for everyone.

The Zoo was great!!! It's gotten so much bigger since the last time we took the grandkids. There is so much more to do. The Mexican restaurant back in the Adventureland area was really good. The only negative, I wish all the new rides had an all day pass instead of paying 5 to 6 bucks per ride. I would have gladly paid extra for that. But we will definitely be back. Thank you for such a great day with the grandkids!!!

What an awesome place! I wish the rides didn't cost extra, but that's not a big deal. They have a great selection of animals to see. It was hot out, but there was plenty of air conditioned indoor exhibits scattered about.

We were confused about the abundance of Macaws everywhere. Found out they rescue them. So amazing!

My daughter and I had a great time here. Definitely worth one trip, my only complaint is that anything other than looking at the animals cost extra $$. It was $6 per person for a train ride, $6 per person for the Safari ride, etc. The staff was friendly and we loved seeing the baby animals in the nursery!

This was my first time here and I'm not sure I'll be back. I love these sort of places and love to support them, but I just can't fathom spending the amount of money that we did for what you get compared to the Phoenix Zoo. And the Phoenix Zoo is half the cost of the Wildlife World Zoo, yet everything here seems to be run down with little upkeep.

Awesome! It's way less busy than any major zoo, but still offers all the animals you can find anywhere else. My personal favorite is the albino crocodile, crazy looking fellow. The food and attractions are all decently priced, around $6 dollars per person for the rides. They offer a seal feeding show (no charge to watch, but you can feed the seals for a small fee) with a very 'save the plant' vibe. They show you tricks the seals have learned as well as teach you and remind you about the impact we have on the ocean life. It's refreshing. I'd strongly recommend this for a day with the kids, or a nice date whether you're a young 20's couple, or a wise, but still young, 70's couple.

The rating is not for the zoo itself. The zoo is beautiful and we always have a great time. The rating is for the employee who suggested I feed my three month old in the family restroom. This was her response after I asked if they had a nursing area. She could have just said no I m sorry but instead she said there is a family restroom. Really???? That s nasty. I m sure she would love to eat in that restroom. I bit my tongue by simply asking oh , where is the nearest one? But I clearly was not going to do this. I would have had to sit on the toilet in order to feed. To make matters worse she seemed to be some type of manager because she was counting one of the cashier s money. I m very disappointed.

We wanted to love this place. Our family loves animals. Some of the animals here seemed neglected though. A baby deer in the petting zoo kept getting rammed by all the goats, it had bloody gashes and tufts of fur missing from it's side. It kept running and seemed very scared. It made my kids sad. None of the workers seemed to care. Also, there were a couple Panthers with the tips of their tales bloody and hairless.... There was a great variety of animals but it was hard to see them so unhappy looking. The park itself didn't look very kept up with either. Someone needs to add some time and love to this place. It has potential.

Where do I start. Well this place is huge. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. This place offers a plethora of animals to look at. Lions , and tigers, and bears. And much more. Highly recommend go check this place out.

By far our favorite zoo, and worth the drive from California. I don't know anywhere else where you can feed animals so freely, nevermind the expansive park. We came for our second time with the mindset of getting the zoo done in four hours, but ended up staying a bit over six just due to how large it is.

They are working on an expansion project to be completed next year; I'm anxious to see what they have in store for us.

Prices are pretty reasonable as well for what you're getting. Going during the week is a big advantage, as the zoo is super empty.

The tickets are expensive, but it's worth the visit. I personally like it a little bit better than Phoenix zoo. This place has a wide variety of animals especially aquariums and fish. I really enjoyed the huge reef tanks. Went with sister and cousins and we all had great time.

In terms of zoos this one is strictly for human antertainment, often at the expense of live animals. There is very little effort to accomodate the species on display - many of which are in cages way too small for their needs (evident in the cronic pacing behavior seen in the cages). The collection of species is a combination of large charismatic mammals and Turaco (birds) - perhaps from a private collection but with seeming nothing in common with the zoo theme. The trail system is dirt, which is fine except that on a rainy day there is certainly some leaking of animals cage waste into the human environment. Unlike other zoos which have invested heavily in conservation of species in the wild, this amusement park has invested in more rides and more human entertainment instead. This zoo is not a member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) and thus does not need to comply with "global" standards for animal care and housing. Its unfortunate because my kids enjoy the rides - but ethically I cannot support this operation.

Shows are not often enough, $40 a ticket. $20 too expensive for a zoo at least include the rides for that price, rides are 4-6$ a head as well.

The exhibits are well maintained from the looks of it and they are always expanding the exhibits as well.

It is a good zoo. Admission price is reasonable. I didn't like all the extra charges, $6 for a train ride, $6 for another ride. $ for the merry-go-round, etc. Plus, you need cash for everything.

Only went to the restaurant did not go into the zoo. However from the patio you can look into the zoo and see in a credible number of flamingos. Inside the restaurant you have a view of the Shark Tank in the aquarium. Very reasonable prices very good food

We had a very nice day at this zoo today. Beautiful animals. I loved the sea lion show and feeding the birds and giraffes. We rode the skylift so we could get a different view and it was worth it. The aquarium and indoor exhibit buildings are also very nice. Plenty of benches around in shady areas and water fountains so you can rest and several snack/food venues and a nice restaurant called Dillion's. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Some of the kids rides were not open to ride but we were not there for that.

Absolutely love it. Probably one of the best Zoo's I've ever been to. I have visited here many times. My family and I always have a wonderful day when we visit this Zoo and Aquarium. Pretty fair admission price. Lots of wonderful things to do and see. I always recommend this place to friends and family.

Our family has been to zoos all over the country, and this is one of our favorites! It is not as fancy as other zoos (many paths are dirt paths) and is doesn't have all the touristy restaurants and snack bars that other zoos have. But there is a wide variety of unusual animals (singing dogs, black swans, animals I'd never heard of before), and the animals are much closer to visitors than in other zoos. Sometimes the tigers are only a few feet away, and birds and small animals like meerkats are super close. The wallaby and kangaroo exhibit is especially great--you walk right in it! There is also a walk-in aviary and an elevated station for feeding giraffes, who come to lick the food right out of your hands (bring quarters!). There is a petting zoo with farm animals and tortoises also. The aquarium part of the zoo is also fantastic and lets you get right up close to the animals. We especially love to watch the otters play with their food and towels. And there's a small petting tank for the intrepid. The rides at this zoo are rather lame, so we skip them. The food is junk/fast food, way worse than McDonalds, so we always bring our own picnic lunch.Wildlife World is also an important breeding and conservation facility, with trained staff and zoologists. (Perhaps the skinny animals in one review were simply well-cared-for, NOT overweight animals?) We live much closer to the Phoenix Zoo, but this is the zoo that we love to visit.

We were there as a german couple. The zoo was beautiful. Very huge area and lots of animals too see. It was very hot that day, but there were always places to sit in the shadow, drinking fountains and places with an ac.

We liked the man staying by the giraffes. He was very friendly and told as a much about the giraffes we have never heard before.

Maybe the rides inside the park should be less expensive or free. But the zoo price was fair. It was so much to see.

Great day.

This is one of my favorite places to be. I had a membership for two years, and my kids and I were always just popping in whenever we wanted. It's a very fun way to add to our homeschooling education. We'd grown attached to a number of the animals there. The rides are fun, although, quite pricey. My kids really liked panning for fossils and minerals. That was really cool, and they still have the large collection of fossils and crystals they found. I really don't have any complaints about this wildlife park, aside from the pricing.

The staff was super helpful and informative! The cages and tanks were easy to see most of the animals in. The animals are clearly well taken care of. I would recommend going during slower times for the best and most enjoyable experience as if there are too many people during a busy day it will definitely detract from your experience.

This zoo has become absolutely giant since I last visited 6 years ago which is really great. While they have some absoluty amazing species of animals such as: the Nilgai Antelope, a Legless Lizard, three monolith Arapaima river fish, and Galapagos Tortoises; I was never happy with the amount of room or enrichment they gave them and was hoping that these new expansions would be top of the line! They aren't though, sadly. The enrichment for these animals is at a bare minimum and lots of enclosures are just concrete or hard dirt painted for our entertainment rather than covered with bedding, plants or proper hides for the animal's health and comfort. Lots of enclosures are overstocked to boot. Less experienced animal keepers will come through the zoo and think that these conditions are appropriate when they're really not. They are inadvertently teaching children and inexperienced adults that its alright to keep animals in concrete cages and fish in overstocked tanks. This zoo doesn't seem to care about the animals, not really. It's a money grab and that breaks my heart. They do have some successful breeding programs which is crucial but they could do so much more. I personally will not be giving this zoo anymore support. They had their chance to do right by these animals with their two expansions and chose not to.

It's a wonderful collection of animals, fish, birds, and reptiles, specializing in preserving endangered species, with a great track record in providing an environment to promote procreation in captivity; a very tough job.

We love this Zoo. So many more Animals with much better habitats than the Phx Zoo. Love the Africa area and the aquarium is very nice. My daughter always gets so excited to come here. However the cost of entry is very high! 40.00 per adult and 20.00 per kid. Then every ride is additional 6.00 per person and food is also very pricey with no healthy options, only junk food. With so many reviews saying the same thing, it is hard to see why management doesn't make some changes. Either they don't read these reviews or maybe just don't care. Also might want to invest in facility repairs like bathrooms (see picture) and also fix the large screws that stick out of the decking throughout the park.
