Great location for tasty Persian food. This place ...
Great location for tasty Persian food. This place is absolutely one of my favorites. Certainly worth going back to. It has a great feel to it. Like a restaurant in Washington I liked.

I have come to Chicago for almost one year now, but I still have not found any place in Chicago that served the Persian cuisines as tasty as this restaurant has done. The food quality was not stable, though. Sometimes the basmati rice was yummy and moist, the ground beef and steak kabob were succulent and tender, but sometimes they were not.
My most favorite order was their Famous Hummus with hot and crispy pita bread for the appetizer. Then, for the main entree, a dollar extra for the Tabouleh salad instead of the side house salad, Soltani Kabob with Basmati rice, grilled tomato, two skewers of well-done Barg kabob and Koobideh kabob, seasoned, flame broiled, and grilled onion on the side. My girlfriend loved the Lamb Shank with some fresh squeeze lime juice so much! Delicious! A cup of hot black Persian tea with Persian sugar cubes to wash down all of the protein was divine and unbeatable.
The restaurant used to have a buffet every Saturday night with lots of option, but they called it off. They usually had only one staff working for both grocery and restaurant section so that the service might be slow during peak time. It did not matter to me so much as long as the food was tasty. No one has complaint ever for a 45 minute waiting for just one Lou Malnati's famous deep dish pizza in Chicago. The owner, who came from Shiraz, and the staff were friendly and helpful, though. I have learned quite a lot about Persia from them.
If you want to loss your money go to persia house kabob.
I visit them to order kabob with my wife, nasty food, very bad food also when we finish they add 18$ Tip !!!! he add 18$ tip automatically.
never go again
Persian food and the feeling here is very good. food was so yummy. the service here is friendly.
The food is authentic and excellent in quality and value. The service was superb.
We ordered chicken over greek salad, lamp kabob, baghali polo side. Both kabobs were great. The plane polo and baghali polo could be more tasty ( probably the type of rice they use). Overall was a nice place to eat Persian food, price was reasonable.
One of my fav spots for quality persian food. visited fri evening i think. i'll return with my coworkers. the bill won't shock you.
persian food and the setting here is very good. i'll return family next time. this place has an awesome atmosphere.
A favorite location for persian food. nice place to meet and catch up with family. service is typically great. prices were reasonable.
One of my top places for persian food. Got there near seven, it wasn't very crowded. Bring your hunger - portions are generous.
Over salted, kabob didn't taste right, poor quality rice, do not expect real persian bread either just grilled pita.
Great place for authentic Persian cuisine. The food is great, the service could use some work though. The Kubideh Kabob is my favorite in Tampa by far, nothing comes close to the authentic Persian taste/texture and juiciness. Again in the DC area this would be considered a 3 - 3.5 star review, however comparatively speaking I am giving them a 4 based on the food. If they can fix up their service, this might quickly become a 5 star joint.
Purchased 2 bags of Burghal from the grocery store, came home to cook it, and after emptying the package in with my meat, I could smell it was old. Ruined my meat and my entire meal I was preparing for guest. Returned to the store to return it and also purchased jujeh kabob for lunch. Was offered only a oh sorry , even after he smelled the oldness of the burghal. Jujeh wasn t fresh, nor was the rice. Have been a long time customer here, but the service and quality of food has definitely went down hill.
Food is good. They have a small shop which is nice to browse.
Great food! I ordered Jujeh Soltani Kabob and my hubby got the Lamb kabob it was really delicious and juicy. They also have a great selection of imported products. I got me some Dates and it was very yummy!! I highly recommend this place. Friendly customer service!!
One of my favorite local restaurants. I always get the beef and chicken combination plate with rice and tomatoes (joujeh koubideh). It's awesome! There's a nice little shop with specialty items for sale as well. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. I'll be back soon.
Persian food, yeah, very delicious. I like it here, excellent food & service. Prices are fair I would say. Food is similar to a place in San Francisco I loved.
I ordered the kabob koobideh and chicken kabob for my family last night and we absolutely delicious and we enjoyed every of bite it!!
Great food but not such a great service. They also have a persian supermarket attached to this restuarant but has no cashier so you have to pay for your things when you make a payment for your food.
Well, honestly this was the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The staff were so rude and didn t give us any attention, we received the silverwares almost 10 minutes after our food arrived.(which BTW wasn t tasty at all)
Also there is %18 service fee on any table of 4 or more which doesn t make any sense because we didn t receive any service.
Ok place for tasty persian food. Super delicious. The service here is attentive.
amazing food, great customer service. I have tried the chicken kabobs as well as the beef kabobs. kubideh? is that how you say it? absolutely perfect. The meat it tender and rich. Great experience. Stop reading and go try it out!
Price is too low and very reasonable.
BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They reheated the rice with microwave
The staff behavior is like NOT getting paid
and they are working for free...
They didn't ask if I like my food or I need something else or even a free smile.
I found some hair in my food.
Bathroom was not clean at 11Am that means no one did clean it the day before...
Excellent food. Great variety. Relaxed, family atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Love this place.
Went here yesterday with my girlfriend and had koobide (not sure the write is correct)
Some i like about this:
-nice ambience with sport tv & sound
-friendlyy staff
- food fits with my taste (a bit more spicy will be perfect)
Will order catering for my dad's bjrthday
My fav spot for persian food. Great place to chill, get away, eat some good food. I will be bringing friends next time.
Great fresh food, and Louisa who works the tables is very friendly.
My top place for tasty persian food. I love going here. Service is typically good. Prices are reasonable I would say.
Great Service and wonderful food. The Barg was seasoned well and the Humus and pita chips where amazing.
persian food and the atmosphere at this place is great. you will not be disappointed in the menu and service. service is consistently good. it has a good interior. similar to a cafe in las vegas i liked.
The food is good, and the Grill is delicious. They just need to improve the service.
Fine location for Persian food. went there on a friday i think. the service was very welcoming and observant. the place has an awesome atmosphere.
Too expensive for what you actually get regardless of how good it is. And now you have to order from the counter instead of being waited on. Just a weird atmosphere now.
Persian food and the setting at this location is super good. The service was very helpful and welcoming.
persian food and the setting at this location is excellent. everyone at our table was very satisfied. it has a cool atmosphere.
One of my favorite locations for delicious persian food. It has an awesome feel to it. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I liked to visit.
Food was excellent servedwas slow. But the wait was worth it. Recommended to anyone.
Visited Persia House of Kebabs on 9/30/14 around lunch time. Despite the food being decent, the price is a bit expensive for the amount and quality of food you get.
My wife and I left feeling neutral about the place and thought about possibly coming back one day for the buffet, until we went outside and saw the daily specials and Monday/Tuesday specials. I had the beef with rice which was the special for the day, but the manager didn't even notify me of the selected specials for the day and just let me order off the menu. That caused my wife and I to pay an extra $2 dollars each person. That was unprofessional of the manager to let customers order the daily special and get charged full price.
We do not plan on returning to Persia House of Kebabs nor would we recommend this place to our friends. I saw a couple come in during lunch time, preview the menu, and then got up to leave moments later.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
Good food, friendly service and a little market to find some different stuff in also.
Love, love this place! Their lunch specials are delicious. Kafta is made to order, their salad and hummus are fresh. Definitely a place to come and eat!
The preparation is way worse. I would not suggest anyone to visit to this place. The quality of food is not good.
Good Persian basic dishes and market where you can buy Persian food ingredients.
My wife and I went on a date to this restaurant and we liked it a lot. We like to experience different cultural cuisines and we were very pleased with this one. The food was very fresh, the flavor was great, and the price was reasonable. The cooked tomato was so juicy that it's refreshing. It was the first time that I tasted long rice like that. It was very soft and had a distinct flavor. The art inside the restaurant was very unique. We definitely recommend that you experience this restaurant. We will most likely go back to try other menu items. It is very rare for us to give a 5 star review, but this restaurant came close. (Food: ***** Price: ***** Service: **** Setting: ***) 4.25
Excellent service and welcoming staff. Food was delicious, tasty homemade food. The lamb was fall off the bone and the broth mixed with the rice was amazing. Their pita bread is soooo good. I will definitely be returning to try other things on the menu.
The Kebab was good, atmosphere was ok, the rice was old not so good. The prices are quite reasonable for the food. I would give an another shot for sure, but there is a room for improvement on the sides.
One of my preferred locations for Persian food. Normally I would have posted a pic but food looked so good I couldn't stop. The service here is better than most. The bill was average for the menu.
Nice spot for tasty persian food. This place is absolutely outstanding. Certainly worth a return visit. The place has an awesome atmosphere.
Lamb kabob - Dont try it.. not cooked, just a smoked lamb..
My preferred place for tasty persian food. Nice place to meet and catch up with family. Next time I'll be back with my relatives. This place has a cool feel to it. Food is like a place in Baltimore I liked.
My brother-in-law doesn't have a taste for salt ... they are saltless
This place is so underrated amazing food good service and great quality food very fresh
One of my fav spots for persian food. got there near five, it wasn't very busy. nothing but pleasant experiences here.
A top scene for tasty persian food. Service treated us so kindly. Reminds me of a restaurant in Philadelphia that I enjoyed.
Insulting my EXPERIENCE as well my intelligent, junk . Used old rice ,electric oven for their kabab ,shameful.
Persian food at this place - excellent. Very appetizing. Nothing but enjoyable experiences here. The prices are fair for the quality of food. Reminds me of a cafe in Chicago I loved to visit.
Food is really good but they charged me more than the billed amount and I realized that later when I checked my credit card transactions. I think they didn't find the tip sufficient but it doesn't give them right to charge what they want without my consent...
I'm sorry guys but what you actually deserve is one star, even though your food is good...
meat wad great but, rest of food was very blend
just plain black tea no mint....
One of my fav locations for tasty persian food. I love it here. Really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, I'll be back. Bring your appetite because portions are large. I can see why they have a lot of great reviews.
I ordered Jujekoobide. It was awful! Joojeh was marinated with Turmeric instead of Safron and almost rare cooked in some pieces! Koobide smells weird and not cooked well!
Owner just just one person taking care of everything and because of that he came too late to take our order!
He was also reluctant to separate the bills beacuse he was busy!
Finally, he added the service fee around 25% on top of the bill !!!!! I don t know why!
This place was good when they first opened not so long ago. Now it sucks because they took out the buffet and the belly dancer. The waiter is pretty cool. They cook good Middle Eastern cuisine but are cheap with their Lamb Shank especially if your not from their neck of the woods.
You know, they only lookout for their own and hook them up with the nicer, bigger piece of meat, so that experience happened to my husband and I twice so it made us realize that outsiders get a small piece of their pricier dishes. That sucks! However when my husband complained they did the right thing and exchanged it for a nicer bigger piece.
Outstanding spot for quality persian food. one of the best spots in the area. the service was very kind and attentive. reminds me of a cafe in chicago i loved to visit.
Fantastic food, quality, flavor and amount.
Definitely coming back.
Love the food, the people and the drinks, definitely a 5 star in my book
A preferred site for Persian food. the fool was super appetizing. bring your appetite because portions are generous.
Kebabs are great taste very authentic which has been hard for me to find. Although price seems to be a little much
Persian food at this location - super tasty. I love eating here. I will be bringing friends next time. Prices were average for the menu.
Buffet without any food, had to wait an hour plus before they served rice to my 4 years old after telling them she is a coil and she is hungry and we had to wait for another hour no luck we took some salad and were charged for (4) buffet prices for salad one tea spoon and rice with no meat no salad, hate the place
Great Humus and service. Tea is always very good, and I like the environment. The kabobs are good as well. Tried a Gyro this time, which was ok - nothing great. Overall a good place
Good authentic Persian food. Just like home when my mom used to make it in California (thought I was gonna say some other country right) Nah I was born and raised in the USA just FYI... I
They are scam , very bad food
Very bad food, the worst part was the guy added like a 22$ tip automatically for a $57 bill. the food was not even worth 30 bucks. Will never go to this place again.
Persia house of kabob is scam scam scam scam.
The worst service ever we ordered Appetizer And they never brought it didn t bother to explain why and at the end they wanted to charge us for it.
Never bother to check how we doing or if we need anything it s the first and last time at that place
