Tickets are a little $$ but worth it, we spent 5 hours here (would have spent more if we had the time) petting the sting rays, feeding the giraffes, train ride, petting zoo. And much more. Bring a roll of quarters (so you can get the feed from the machine ). Their also adding another 8 acres. They have all kinds of different restaurants even bbq.

This zoo was kind of a disappointment. The aquarium was cool but the rest was kind of sad some of the animals look like they were just purchased from a pet store. A lot of animals were repeated, and we had a 5$ off coupon for EACH ticket that was purchased but none of us got the discount including my grandpa who automatically got 5$ off because seniors receive it on Tuesdays, didn t even receive that one.

This zoo had a great selection of animals including a Stripeless Tiger, White Tiger, and a Black Jaguar. The only thing that sort of caught me off guard was a very sick looking Bearded Dragon in the "Tropics Of The World" building, but all zoos have old/sick animals.

Such a nice place to visit, lots to see, and learn about. We had a really nice day, everyone was helpful and friendly. We even splurged on the log plume ride, and the tram, which was worth the price.

First time visiting a zoo in the southwest. Staff was nice and helpful. We took the Safari Ride and our driver was informative as well as funny. Beware, the jaguar was pacing and turned around to "spray" us. We jump but not fast enough, this could have been really bad if the kids were there, it would have been a complete bath! Great day and enjoyed the variety.

Today was mine and my children's first time I really have to say I wasn't that impressed it is however bigger than the Phoenix zoo but when we went to look at all the animals in the buildings the smell was horrible and there was a glass missing on the boa that was in the cage. None of the rides we're open good thing I had coupons

My son and I have been going here for years. We love it. I really am sad that people find it so horrible. It is an awesome awesome place. Do not let bad reviews stop you from coming here. Yes food is expensive, but bring a lunch. Go to any place of this sort, food, beverages, and souveniers are high priced. Sooooooooooo.................... go check it out and make YOUR own decision. We always see something different, and very cool. New babies, kangaroos walking in front of us.Leapords above us. The aquarium, awesome. My son loved feeding the seals, and giraffe's. The zip line was amazing. Seriously, why would you give this a bad review.

A great zoo we visit every time we visit the grandparents in AZ. There is a great variety of animals in the zoo (lions, bears, monkeys, jaguars, reptiles, birds, etc.) and in the aquarium. You can do the whole park in about 3 hours depending on how quickly you want to go.

Had a really fun time with my GF here. There are small rides in addition to the Zoo. Apparently someone was attacked by a Jaguar just as we were leaving. Kinda crazy... I guess just be careful as there's not much of a barrier at all. It's not hard to get dangerously close.

While I did enjoy the variety of animals, some of which I haven't seen elsewhere and we particularly enjoyed the aquarium, many things bothered me.
--There was no soap or hand sanitizer at the handwashing stations for the touch tanks. I am not a germ freak, but in my case I wanted to wash my hands for the safety of the animals BEFORE because I had suncreen on.
--Very few animals appeared to have anything for enrichment, even animals like primates and parrots. I saw something for the rhinos to play with and a few other animals.
--The informational signs in many places were very run down and faded. In instances where there was no animal actually on exhibit, no attempt was made with any signage to indicate that.
This only touches on my misgivings. I did still mostly enjoyed my day, but for the price we paid I feel like more could and should be happening both for the care of the animals and upkeep.

This place has improved so much in the past few years. I remember about 3 years ago you could walk the whole thing in like 45 mins. Now, even breezing past about a third of the exhibits it still takes easily 3 hours to see the whole park and another hour to see the aquarium. And that's without curious children

It was a good place to visit, we saw a few animals I have never seen before and it is a great amount of them to spend the whole day, I was not happy with the fact that you have to pay extra cash for the rides, you probably end up spending more then what you spend on the admission if you go on the rides wear confortable clothes and shoes it is lots of walking, also we try the restaurant that connects to the aquarium it was good too, after all the walking good food was a plus! Overall I would recommend this place

I have always loved this zoo but now it's over twice as big as it was when I first started coming here. There are many animals to see. The aquarium is really cool. There are a number of exhibits inside buildings so you can get out of the heat for a bit. They have several restaurants. There are several rides around the park including a log ride that goes through a glass tube of the aquarium with fish swimming all around you. It's really cool. Don't expect to see it all in 1 day.

Just the price of a ticket bothers me, it's more expensive then the Phoenix zoo and not as big or as clean. But otherwise great zoo to walk through and love the new aquariums and exhibits.

Very few places to go to get away and really relax and enjoy the sights and the variety of wildlife. Dillon's Restaurant attached has some of the best food on the planet. Definitely in Phoenix... Wow!!

Really fun

This park has a variety of animals and sea life. The park is well maintained and is clean. The animals are easy to see and the park is large enough so that it does not seem over crowded. I will definitely visit it again.

Clean, animals looked so comfortable and entertained. Shows are educational and interesting. You really see animals here, short walk between each enclosure, we were there 5 hours and saw almost the entire place. Many animals better than I'd ever seen before. We saw animals being fed and worked with, and enclosures being cleaned by keepers. Everywhere you looked there was a keeper or employee. Very neat place with lots of charm. They had a lot of other rides and attractions, but we did not try any of them. It was well worth the money and we would definitely go again.

Best zoo that I've ever been to! It's huge!! We took our time and went on rides, fed sting rays, and checked out everything we could so it took a few hours of fun. Almost all the animals were actually out and able to be seen too!

This is one of my favorite places to go even when it is hot. There is a ton of shade and you can go inside in several exhibits as well as the aquarium. We love having lunch in the restaurant where we watch the sharks and stingrays swim. Brings LOTS of quarters as you can feed the giraffes, goats, llamas, deer and more. The Wildlife Show and Lorikeet feeding is a SUPER awesome experience. These are free shows. One of my favorite things is the Kangaroom Walkabout. The kangaroos are roaming free and you can get really close to them. AWESOME!

The new expansion at the south side of the property is nice with new animal exhibits and the aquarium exhibits are always fun to see with a diversity of fresh and salt water creatures. There is a variety of feeding times for different animals throughout the zoo so check the feeding times online to have a better experience. The petting zoo was a blast with my 2 year old. He was kind of timid with the size llamas and the uneven ground had me within an arms reach away from my child just in case he would of taken a tumble. Also, the tortoises next to petting zoo are a fun to watch and interact with. One of my gripes is that all the cafes and rides on the property take cash only. Dillions BBQ is the only food establishment that takes cards. Another gripe is the one giraffe feeding station that has a ramp for wheelchair and stroller access. The ramp so narrow that only one stroller or wheelchair can go either up or down at a single time. All in all we had a great time, it does get dusty so wear appropriate clothing, always check their website or Groupon for coupons and discounts and bring cash if you plan to buy snacks or ride the rides.

I love most areas of the park, however I do not like the size of some enclosures. They seem to small for certain animals to inhabit. I'm not sure on how the zoo-keepers overall treat these animals but I'm trying to look more into it.

I loved it, it's beautiful, it's worth the cost of the ticket, inside the rides are cheap and there's a lot to see. What I did not like is that the cost of entry is expensive and the snaks too.
