Certainly much different than what we have in Cali...
Certainly much different than what we have in California but in a good way. A bit pricy though but thoroughly in joy it though.

It's a Prison for animals people!!!!
So many things were horrible. Upon entry...
Ibis and flamingos numbering approx 40 in a super tiny enclosure. Standing in water with no space to move.
Meerkats repeatedly running/pacing along concrete wall enclosure standing up at corners looking for a way out. Watched for many minutes.
Barren enclosure. No trees or bushes or greenery of any kind.
The majority of what you see are birds/parrots/macaws and ducks. Macaws Macaws and more Macaws!! Caged mostly.
A Great Horned OwL In a tiny narrow enclosure alone. Calling from the corner for a companion. Very sad. No room to fly or move except down and straight up.
A Red Tailed Hawk tethered above an Aquarium in a concrete building!!!!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing!!!!! He had a couple branches about 4 ft wide to move back and forth above the fish!!!!
Jaguars, 1 Black and 1 spotted were repeatedly pacing back and forth up and down the fence line as well and a beautiful male lion pacing repeatedly back and forth in a small pattern.
A white Tiger walking the fence line repeatedly oblivious to anything.
The most heart breaking and heart wrenching part was the so called Nursery!!!!!!!!
OMG!!! I wanted to find someone and confront them!! LITERALLY THERE IS NO ONE AROUND TP ASK ANYTHING ANYWHERE!!!!!
All the prisons in this "nursery" are concrete rooms with basically almost Zero enrichment! Big giant window for people to gawk. A super thin blanket on floor. No food in any.
A baby Clouded Leopard that will be a year old in March had a log and no cave or house or anything to hide in. A log and a sheet thin blanket. He was pacing the glass and jumping or reaching up in corner repeatedly to get out and crying. You see him crying but can't hear him. He's been in there almost a year, taken from his mom to be secluded so they can keep him in a pen later to suffer the rest of his life there. Or be sold. Broke my heart and made me sick to see him.
Next to hIim are 2 tiny Duikers. Tiny. Huddled on a super thin blanket wet with urine. We didn't see water in any of these rooms. No enrichment of any sort or place to hide for these 2 scared Duikers!!! Horrible!!
This they call a nursery!???
Next a Baby Armadillo!! He was clawing at door repeatedly trying to find a way out or place to burrow or hide and had nothing but concrete and a stick and aa stuffed toy it was pitiful watching him and wondering how many hours every day aLl these babies are suffering in there. No outside air. No sun. No mom or any contact with their species. No enrichment. No supervision.
This entire place is HORRIBLE and nothing but a prison and trade for this company!! They breed, sell and exchange with other zoos.
The Giraffes have no trees.
OhhH and omg the Arctic Foxes!!!! Broke my heart !! Indoor glass concrete enclosure with a tiny tiny outdoor pen. I cannot imagine their suffering and boredom
2 weasels displayed severe repetitive pacing and circling. One spun in a circle for minutes then went outside in tiny pen and spun around and around again. The other did laps around perimeter and up and down and then came to same corner jumping up trying to get out. So sad
The ridiculous amusement rides are nothing but a loud stress factor to the animals. Absolutely appalling!!! The Roller Coaster goes right thru the Llamas area and scared them runnning!!!!!
These rides are ludicrous and only a ploy to pull in money.
The space wasted on these rides should be used to provide more space to animals suffering in small prisons like the Penguins who never get fresh air and the Sea Lions In extremely tiny pools.
And the Cougar in a small pen too!!!!!
ANYONE WHO GOES HERE SHOULD UPDATE ON THE BABIES IN THAT PRISON!!!!!!!!
There are no signs at all to tell you about where any animals are from. Rescued or born there or traded. Who knows.
They breed. Sell and trade. SO what does that tell you ????
I have also found thru researching they sell animals includibg babies from petting zoo to roadside zoos, circuses & to Canned Hunts to be murdered!
Great place to spend the day. A little pricey, you pay for everything. Trains, sky ride, carnival rides and they don't offer all day ride passes.
Myself 4 children n my friend were hit with 1st class RACISM FROM THE TICKET BOOTH .. the woman screamed at my family that shes married to a black man??????
Great layout. The aquarium is awesome. The animals look like they are well taken care of(not sure, I'm not a zoologist).
*******CASH ONLY********
inside the park. The tickets can be bought with card. The BBQ restaurant can use card because it's not inside the zoo.
All rides and concessions inside the park are cash only. I believe you can bring water in and I would definitely suggest it.
Went on a field trip with my son's kindergarten class 2/13 .. the reason behind my 4 stars is the staff ... When in the aquarium a lady I believe but the name of Denise running the station for the children to touch the star fish ect. She was literally yelling at children from another school .. when I asked her name she tried very hard not to give it to me .... But gave plenty of excuses why she was yelling... One being that there are to many kids there on field trips . Maybe put staff members in that station that can handle kindergarten students.
No child should be yelled at for being excited ..
Absolutely an amazing place. Always take the grandkids when there. Amazing
One of the best zoo's. Lots to see and do plus the kids always have a great time.
Fun adventure with a large variety of animals. Especially like the sea life and monkeys. My only draw back is the cost. I have a few grandkids but it is too costly to take them very often. So We can only go maybe once a year. Wish we could go more since we live so close.
95$ for 2 adults and 1 child? You would think at that price, you would get to enjoy everything the zoo has to offer, right? Not only are you hit with ridiculous admission, every single ride costs anywhere from 2.50 - 15 per person. I gladly took my family to DaveNBusters and spent half, leaving plenty for us to go out for lunch. I love this zoo, but I won't be going here anytime soon with prices this high.. I'll gladly drive across town to PHX zoo where their same priced tickets actually include all the rides.
This zoo is just amazing and awesome. So worth it.
I've been to this zoo a few x, always a great experience seeing the diversity of wildlife here. I love it!
It's a fun place to visit but it's a bit expensive.
Such an amazing set up. Great selection of animals and super knowledgeable staff. Lorry feeding is a must do when you are there. Lauren, Josh, and Jenny put on an amazing animal display show. Couldn't not have had a better afternoon!!
Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park and + Rides
Loved the Wildlife World Zoo. Please note that the food courts only take cash.
Great exhibits. Real good aquarium, better than you would think for AZ.
Expensive but the animals are well fed. Don't miss the log ride, laughed so much. Food is expensive.
We went to the aquarium restaurant called Dylan's. Food and service was excellent. It was interesting eating with sharks close to you.
My daughter and I loved the interaction with the animals..
Not to busy. Have to wear a mask the whole time so be prepared for that. There are babies in the enclosures and ostrich eggs as well.
I love the layout of this zoo, and how they appear to care for the animals. Most of them have very good habitats, and it's usually pretty easy to see the animals. I really like the aquarium, especially on the hotter summer days. The different rides all around make it easy to have even more fun. The only real problem is the cost, as it's quite expensive to go, especially if you have a large family.
Had such a fun time here, I recommend this zoo to anyone
Accommodation for the handicapped is unacceptable.
Air freshener in the the buildings ruin the experience for those with allergies.
My boys did enjoy the visit.
We love this zoo! Have been several times now. Always some free extras to enjoy (sea lion show, feeding the lorry parrots, wildlife encounter show, touch pools including stingrays) and some cheap extras (feeding giraffes, carousel, feeding stringrays). If you're planning on eating at the zoo - be prepared for ridiculous prices. Bring your own water bottles and fill them up at fountains around the zoo. The one in the Baby Animals house is ICE COLD!! Early morning is usually the best time to see the animals before it gets too hot out. The best times, weather wise, we went were in May and September. The most exciting exhibit we saw was the leopards :) the Sky Ride. Lets you see some of the bigger animals much closer & great photo ops! Worth the extra $6/person to ride it. The tram that goes through the enclosures is pretty neat too but it gets expensive to do all the extras especially if you have kids.
Had fun even though it was raining. Staff was helpful and nice for the most part. The lady in the aquarium was rude and answered questions from the kids in a "stop bugging me kid attitude." Other than that we had a blast.
This place is awesome! You get to be close to the animals and they have a ton of exhibits. Its very clean and they have sanitizer stations everywhere. The staff are fun and seem like they enjoy their jobs. The Sky ride is fun and relaxing. We will be back in the near future.
I remember going to this zoo as a kid. I had no idea how bad it really was for the animals at the time. I just went today and I was so sad at what I saw. Dirty, small cages, pacing marks around the perimeter of the cage, you name it! Most the animals in the inside exhibits were in the same exact structures I saw 6 years ago! They were on plastic hard surfaces with artificial branches and rocks. Only some got real dirt and trees. I mean come on it's Arizona, there's plenty of dirt! There was this poor bird chained to a branch in the aquarium. Apparently it gets to fly around twice a day. How sad! All of the big cats and some other animals had pacing marks in their cages. Which means they're that bored and in distress that they made dirt paths in their areas.
And don't even get me started on the ostriches! I don't know if its something they do but it definitely did not look right. There was one ostrich in particular that kept plucking all the feathers off the other ostriches backs! To the point where they were bare on the back! It was misery at it's finest. I wanted to cry. This place is awful. The only animals that are happy are the giraffes and petting zoo animals. Which btw I don't think giraffe's should be eating that many pellets in their diet anyways.
This wasn't a zoo. It was a backyard animal cage attraction. I've been to the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago and while I don't really like zoo's (I'm more for sanctuary's) it was WAY better. Please do not waste your money here. The person that owns this place is in it for the money. No one who cares about animals would let this place look the way it does.
Love it and love even more on their stance with the safety of their animals and protecting them after recent incidents. Respect the animals there. They are dangerous and if you are careless enough to not follow rules put in place then its just nature selection at that point.
There is not enough shade. I went on a class field trip. I honestly dont think I would spend my own money to bring my family out.
It has been a few years since we have been here - but we visited yesterday, Jan 31 - and had a wonderful visit - the animals here look so healthy and happy - and viewing is excellent - it is easy to find and the staff is friendly
Excellent zoo on West side of town. We got our annual pass today. The upgraded exhibits are a huge plus. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is the cost of the rides are a bit pricey on top of admission. Great experience and great day - I highly recommend this zoo.
Very extensive and fairly large zoo in far West Phoenix. The animals are, for the most part, in outdoor, fenced enclosures so some of them may be quite far away from visitors bit many are used to humans and are quite close.
There are many birds, reptiles, and the usual assortment of lions, tigers, giraffes, zebras, etc. In addition, there are some rides such as trains, trams, a sky ride, a zip line, carousel, and others. These have an extra charge -- usually $3 to $5 -- in addition to the regular admission charge (25 - 30 dollars depending on age). There discounts of $5 readily available for veterans, AAA members, or coupons that seem to be in many retail stores in the Phoenix area.
Families could easily spend the entire day here.
We love be this zoo... Great variety of animals, lots of open space. Rides if you are into a theme park fun time. Amazing aquariums. It is spread out so plan to spend the day or only see a portion of the options. Restraunts throughout ..bring cash, the do not support cards in the zoo. Our favorite place to eat is Dillion's BBQ they take a card and are next to the aquariums. Ability to feed the giraffes and fish with quarter ($0.50) feeder machines. Awesome place to get exercise and enjoy the outdoors. Dirt paths. Playground for kids if you want a break. $$$ per ticket but worth it if you can spend time. With a family of 7 we can only afford to go a couple of times a year but it is worth the drive.
Very different experience!! Loved getting to see the white Buffalos! Would have been better if there had been places to get drinks!
Mixed feelings. Decent value, not so big that kids can't take it all in. The staff is friendly and definetly seems passionate about caring for these animals but..... the enclosures are small and it just seems wrong. Beautiful wild animals contained next to the freeway. I don't have as solution but there must be a better way to care for them
Neat zoo, lots of different animals, but quite expensive.
Soooo much fun. Take cash and quarters. Fyi, there is no elephant
The zoo animals and grounds get 4 stars. There are some great exhibits and the grounds are very spacious. I have never had visit where it felt too crowded or busy.
The Aquarium gets 5 stars.
The food at the cafes get 1 star. It's way overpriced and not good. (Dillions is great, but that's separate).
The restrooms get 3.
The rides get 3 stars because they are insanely overpriced. Why don't they sell a ride package or bracelet?
This place is very expensive. Adults are $39.99. If you were to ride all 10 rides that's an extra $65.50 per person! All together that's $105.49, not including tax. That's the cost of a Disneyland ticket, and Disneyland has a ton more rides and entertainment. The cost of the children's rides should at least be less, a parent shouldn't have to pay so much to ride along with their kids. I always enjoyed this zoo much more than the Phoenix Zoo due to its unique animals and the fact that even when the parking lot is packed it never feels crowded. I use to come here often when I had only one child, but now that I have two more it's just too expensive to visit more than once every other year or so.
It was my 1st visit here & I must say that I was pretty amazed at how big it is. Also they have a pretty good diversity of wildlife. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that most of the rides & other little attractions run about $6.00 each. It would be nice if they had a band you could purchase for a price to ride the tram, rides,or the skyride...etc. They could also sell tickets for a certain amounts of rides. Other than that, we spent 3.5hrs there & didn't get to see everything. I will definitely go back. Fyi.... just remember to bring cash.... the rides only accept cash.
Very fun zoo with lots of exhibits and things to do. Definitely more expensive than the Phoenix Zoo, but I think it actually has more to offer and is never as crowded.
Large variety of animals, reptiles, aquarium and more! Unfortunately no beer stands.
Very nice. Bring cash, as they don't take credit in the stores or restaurant.
A great place to go for a school field trip and the staff are amazing. All it needs to improve is maybe a trolley or a cart to carry around those who cannot bear to walk.
It's just okay. The rides they have added are super cheesy. The aquarium is interesting. They have expanded a lot. I would have purchased a shirt in the gift shop if they had my size. I needed either a medium or large. They had neither.
I personally like this zoo better than phx zoo it had more to see.
First time visiting and we loved it. Many animals and we were able to see them. Lots of walking on flat ground which made it doable for us.
Each employee we dealt with was super friendly and helpful. The price of admission is definitely reasonable.
They are adding new exhibits and creatures all the time so each time we go there's something new to see. Fun and pleasant day, just wish I could get time off when it's a bit cooler.
Great place and friendly staff and extremely helpful as well as some staff were knowledgable. My only negative review is that the heat caused alot of things like shows, feeding ect to be closed.
Went on a field trip. It was horrible. will never go back. Animals are sad and some were chained up. Hated it. Was embarrassed to take students there.
I love this zoo! The enclosures the animals are in are very nice, for a zoo. The staff seems to really care about the animals. And the animals themselves seem pretty content and relaxed.
We ate at Dillions KC BBQ which centers around a portion of the large aquarium. The menu was well rounded having a pretty good variety of items to choose from. The waitress we had was friendly and was able to get the food out to us in a timely manner. The food was really good and at a reasonable price I think it was definitly worth the time and the money plus you get the opportunity to watch the sharks and stingrays swim by as you enjoy your meal. I will definitly be going there again.
Love that this place is always adding new features. Private zoo and they're done an awesome job building some really unique habitats for the animals. The baby nursery is always a hit.
Way better than the Phoenix zoo. Its bigger and there's more animals. The dillons there is really good, and don't forget to bring sunscreen
What is up with the habitats? The swan being kept from babies? Hurting themselves in fences trying to get to chicks....? Wth? Horrible
Great place to visit! Lots of interaction with the animals. Wide variety of animals, birds and aquatic creatures. Tram and train rides are educational and provide a break from walking. Also have fun amusement park type rides. Shows are entertaining and educational. All in all a great way to spend the day with your family and children.
Great food and atmosphere. We ate by the shark tank. You can also eat outside with the flamingos or by the bar next to the alligators. Great service and fast.
Great experience! You get more than what you paid for. Make sure you have a whole day to get through everything.
Really enjoy the zoo, been at the hermosillo zoo before but has better installations, diversity of animals , but we did not came prepared, so we end up in the 2 to 4 pm. When the sun is really anyway the kids enjoy the trip very much, 2 and4 years olds, wife was the one who enjoyed the most even being afyer the kids, next we going to buy the yearly pass.
I loved this place as kid and I still love it now along with my kids. Lots more exhibits than Phoenix zoo and the animals were up close and personal!
Lots of walking and everything inside is just a extra cost. From a small ride to a small hand of feed
So this was my first time going to world wildlife zoo and it was amazing! They have nice little rides that aren't too crazy. There's a tour bus, safari train and a sky ride for when you need a break from walking. The aquarium is as good as if not better than Odyssey without the dolphins.
Wide variety of animals, birds and reptiles and even a little nursery. There's so much to do and see you could easily spend all day there so it is easily worth the admission price!
Love going here!!! Great place to watch the animals and relax. Kids will enjoy it.
I like this better than the phx zoo. Wast very crowded so now is the time to go
Just bring your own water they charge $4 a bottle
