We did the mountain coaster and the scenic chair lift and it was awesome! It was $24 for the two, so reasonably priced. The mountain coaster was so much fun, you leisurely ride up the hill and then fast to the bottom. The chair lift was so calming and relaxing, 15 minutes up and 15 minutes down. Highly recommend on your next trip to Deep Creek!

Outdated..... but not in a bad way. Stayed last night got my 40th birthday. We went out and ate at the Greene Turtle.... fun atmosphere and a nice menu with some really good appetizers! Really cool town which I'm sure is a lot nicer with snow everywhere!

Good slopes for all level snow boarders and skiers. Easy access to and from surrounding lodging. Definitely need a 4 wheel drive car to get around in the winter time. We came for a long weekend and it snowed about a foot. Lots of grocery stores, liquor stores, restaurants and gas stations in the nearby town. Would recommend for families. Prices go up during premium periods like Saturday s and holiday weekends. Rentals available. Would recommend.

Overpriced lift tickets and crappy service. 9/10 times I asked staff a question, they couldn't even understand me as most don't speak English. Kind of bad when you're telling the lift operator "hey can you slow down the lift for my 5 year old" and he has to go get someone to translate.

Unplayable, not for your good hacker much less a regular hacker. Slow play, people stay away the resort, play once a year and don't want to lose a ball. Every hole you have a good chance of losing a ball, which is why I say it's unplayable.

Our experience at wisp lodge was nothing like we expected it to be. The website is very misleading. Especially with the pictures they choose to show you. While most of the hotel is renovated, there are still some areas and items that are very old. The walls are paper thin. We could hear both our neighboring rooms . We could also hear the people above us. The pool was broken. The fire pit was broken. I saw one hand sanitizer stand. All in all it was very disappointing stay. It was not worth the amount of money we paid for it.

I will say that any staff we encountered was friendly and the beds were comfortable. The cleanliness of the room was good but we did bring extra disinfectant spray to spray around the room.

I have always been treated very warmly when I visit Wisp. The lift lines are very reasonable even on busy days. Excellent facilities throughout. Emilia and Sven are great. Pet friendly, too! I highly recommend buying passes. .

I'm basing this review off of a terrible experience with reservations. Short version: I was quoted one price and charged another, then told "Sorry, we don't issue refunds." I've sent an email to their info@ address, so I'll update this review (or leave it with more detail) based upon the resolution.

Edit: The issues I had were with a third-party reservation company. As soon as I reached out to Wisp by email, I received a call within 10 minutes to let me know they were working on fixing the mistake. An hour later, I got a second call verifying that it was taken care of. Both employees were very friendly and helpful. Edited from 1 to 5 based on the customer service response. Hopefully everything goes smoothly when I check in!

Our room was great but we stayed for two nights and house keeping didn't clean up in the morning while we were out. Also the pool was out of service while we stayed due to the water pump. Ended up swimming in the lake, did not make up for the disappointment.

I came to Wisp Resort for a wedding. The staff was helpful and polite. The main lodge was beautiful, and the bathrooms were immaculate. The parking was very convenient and it was easy to find a space.

Overall, it was pretty nice. There are ups and downs, but it was mainly good.
Lodging: My family and I stayed in a double queen bed room. As other reviewers mentioned, the walls are terribly thin. I think a kid next door was getting beat by his parents for misbehaving. The room is nice; 2 standard queen beds, also a sofa and 2 tables. Wifi in the evening is pretty slow, and it blocks Youtube.

Food: For the first night, we went to DC's restaurant. It was packed and they didn't have enough waiters/waitresses. We got the hostess as our server. The food was below par, a burger was $10. The hostess never served obviously, she didn't give us menus and complimentary bread. We had to bug her to check on the food. After an hour, we finally got our food. The cafeteria is extremely overpriced. I like the nice, big, spacious seating area, though. I bought a burger, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, fries, onion rings, and soup for $36. The food in the cafeteria was also below par. The mozzarella sticks tasted really weird, and the burger was burnt.

Slopes: The slopes were decent. There were only 2 blues open, which were very short and merged into the 2 green slopes that were open. All the slopes were generally very icy. The blues were fun and there weren't that many people on them. The greens had everybody from first-day skiers to people who should be on blues/blacks. I almost crashed into a little kid.

I think overall it was better than any other ski resort.

Great mountain for snowboarding, skiing, high quality ski-lift and fun attractions such as the cars that race around the mountain (don't remember name.) However, my main problem is with them is their customer service. It's very industrial, and when on a lesson they just show you how to do it once and then go to their phone. They only help you if you can't get up or something. Another time, it started to rain moderately. Us, the group, did not have waterproof gear on. We wear soaked for a good 20 minutes. The instructor didn't care, he had waterproof gear. And one more thing, it's EXTREMELY overpriced. Do not recommend for begginers or lessons, will ruin your experience permanently!

I purchased a nonrefundable ticket on their website in advance at a slightly discounted rate. It ended up pouring rain, and they do NOT offer transfers or rainchecks. I ended up going because I had already paid. They had one lift and two runs open, with horrible conditions. The fact they were open was absurd. I made a few runs. Saw one person seriously injured (prob bc of conditions). The management should really revisit this policy. It certainly doesn't attract customer loyalty.

I am giving this resort only two stars not because of any major nightmares but because of a simple "Are you kidding me!" Ok a ski resort without a wood burning fire place? REALLY! Come on Man!
Now they had one in the 50 years plus of its history but apparently cost cut backs this year will not allow for it. Really? Aren't they like right in the middle a forest? As one of the other comments pointed out "Cant the foreign staff" like go gather some wood? Maybe a collection box next to the once beautiful fireplace for the wood. I cant think of any one coming off the slopes freezing not willing to kick in a few bucks to sit by the fire with a nice hot toddy.
If you have ever watched ESPN and the "come on man" out takes when someone drops the ball thrown right to them or a team is on the one foot line and after 4 attempts to get in the end zone they fail. Well "come on man!" a ski resort without a wood burning fireplace to cozy up to? Come on man! lets get with the program here.
It has to be the only ski resort in the country without a wood burning fireplace to warm up to. You cant imagine the disappointment in everyone's voice we spoke to about ok like why is the fireplace closed? It is (was) actually located in one of the bar areas close to the slopes perfect for relaxing and warming up after freezing on the mountain. Maybe they would get more customers to sell drinks to to pay for the firewood if they actually lit the fireplace! Again the resort is decent clean rooms comfortable beds friendly staff etc but if you are looking for the full ski mountain experience look elsewhere and make sure if you go tell the management "No wood burning fireplace really? Come on man! like your kidding right? If you look at some of the ads for other hotels and resorts they are all picking up on it. They say come sit by our warm fire in our lounge after a long day on the slopes. One even touts and I quote "We have two warm wood burning fireplaces to lounge by"

Snow tubing was fun! The mountain coaster is great and I always stop by to ride it when I'm in the area. I haven't done the zipline activities yet but they look decent. I haven't stayed in the hotel yet either but I hear it's very nice.

It is in a beautiful location. They need to update the inside including beds very badly. We had six flys inn or motel room above the heater and had no way of killing them. They need to include a nice hot breakfast bar.

If you came here to ski and snowboard, you're on the right place! Just don't bother with buying anything from the extortionate store. The trails are beautiful, but it was hard to enjoy them with the snowmakers on at full blast the entire time in combination with the wind. The lifts were fast and the trails enjoyable. As usual, it seemed like an excessive number of trails were closed; no more open in January than in December.

Only went to snowboard for the day. Conditions were less than optimal with less ths half the runs open, but that was not the resorts fault. What was open was groomed well and ran smoothly.

My wife and I had a lot of fun here. We did the breakfast club escape room. It was the right mix of challenge and fun. Creed the Game Master was excellent. We will definitely go there again.

Nice trails and snow making but the layout is not optimal. The main lodge is a few min walk from the main lifts. This is not a big deal unless you have young ones. This could have been planned better. Would be annoying if i have season passes.

Even skiing in warm temperatures, the slopes were good! Got a little icy the second day but only because it was in the 60s the first day and in the teens the second day. You can't beat mother nature, but they did a great job of making my experience enjoyable even when mother nature tried to ruin it. GREAT MOUNTAIN RESORT!!!

None of the staff seem to know anything. This is a large resort but there is no info about where anything is. In the room, our tv didn't work. In the restaurant, while the food was good, it was a very limited menu an d Jack got his appetizer and finished it before I got mine and then our dinners were served before I had finished my appetizer. Could not charge our dinner to our room because we weren't given "courtesy card " at check-in. Only here because MD Pharmacist Assoc is giving Jack an award tomorrow. Certainly wouldn't come back here on our own.

Great activities here, came for things like the coaster and ropes courses, they seem to reduce staff heavily during the slower season, so make sure to check if you need to make reservations for some of their activities in advance, because there might not be anyone there if you try to just walk up.

It's not Europe but it's close to home and decent enough for a weekend getaway. It is overpriced for what it is and what or offers. The golf courses are ok as well but do not support the prices they are asking either. The rest of this review was edited and has since been remedied by the resort.

And yes thank you, all in all it was a good anniversary weekend trip, albeit to short.

I've added a star (4) for the quick response of the public affairs individual who responded to my initial review and the overall attitude of all staff encountered.
