My friend got skiing lessons there and we were skiing together by the end of the day!
Very decent ski resort for the mid Atlantic . Really good mix of trails for all levels. Employees are friendly and genuinely try to help you. Fellow skiers and snowboarders are nice and friendly people. Back side of the mountain is less crowded. Food is ok and priced on par with similar resorts( with one exception-do not eat the chili, it is flat out nasty).
According to my wife the snow tubing area is fun as well.
Snowmaking could be better, but not really wisp's fault- blame climate change.
Only a few trails were open and they weren't that good either.
We went snow tubing and were very disappointed. The slopes on the slides need to be adjusted. Everyone was getting stuck mid slide.
Wisp tended to my needs well as a first time goer and snowboarder. They were really helpful and if I could, I'd go again.
Wisp is a good mountain, it is a perfect place for beginners and intermediates , but the only thing that takes away a star is the lifts, they are SLOW!! If u go to whitetail the lifts go faster so no waste of time
so overall i give 4 stars
I just went for skiing for a day, but the resort is very nice. Nothing compared to Rockey mountain skiing, but still very nice.
Good food and service, rental/ticket fees were extremely expensive. Lifts were not managed as well as they could have been
A little hard to find because there signage is very low key. The room was old school ski lodge. We had a hideaway bed the kids loved. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.
The trails were not groomed at all the day I went. No attempt to groom. Piles of snow everywhere.
