Been here twice, the first time I enjoyed the ice skating and tubing, but fell and tore the medium meniscus of my left knee skiing because twigs and branches were in the trail and it was hard to maneuver...have to admit that help arrived quickly and was sent to the hospital.
Forward 5 yrs...went back and did the mountain coaster and was great! Now, skiing was another thing again, most trails were closed due to no snow and the ones opened were all part icy, part slushy and part slippery and you can see the ground in some parts too which is all dangerous. Don't think I'll give it another chance to go again.
We rented the skis for 3 days and left on the 2nd day because of the condition of the place. They don't return any money back. The people helping with the skis were friendly and helpful.

For my first snowboarding experience, Wisp was welcoming. They have all the gear one needs to start learning and decent trails. Only complaint would be open patches of dirt and grass at the edge of slopes. Understandably not much the resort can do. However, one of the greens had a rise in the snow that goes into a dirt pit as seen in an attachment. Would've been helpful to know there was nothing on the other side when going down. Ended up getting air and wiping out with no cushioning. A warning sign of some sort is not an egregious request. Something Wisp can work on

Small but cozy. A few activities to keep you busy. Escape room was fun. Ski lessons. Too bad they had to remove the snowmobiles a few years back. Needs more snow to the area. Slopes and tubing are ok.

If I can give them 6 stat I would on the sole factor that they ate doggy friendly. What an amazing experience. So much to do even in the summer time. We will definitely come back for winter

Trails were groomed well and the slope staff was courteous and helpful. The dining hall was kind of a nightmare because few employees spoke English or could offer help. Also, finding your way to the first lift from the lot can be a little vague. (Go the the left of the main building, walk all the way back, then right and follow it to the lift.)

Booked a slope view room, and as you can see was not disappointed! Took advantage of a mid week learn to ski package. The quality of the stay for the price we paid was amazing. Learning to ski with the resort instructors was a pleasure, highly recommended!

The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel seem to be decently clean. For the price we paid for the room we choose there was some disappointments. Our room didn't have a microwave which we thought was pretty disappointing seeing how they have microwaves in other rooms. There were a couple flys in our room, the deadbolt on the main door didn't work, the door that separates the 2 smaller rooms didn't even close, there were no extra pillows for the murphy bed, a couple of the lights were burnt out, and our toilet didn't flush properly even after they sent someone to fix it.

Mountain, snowmaking, and skiing is fine.

They have no policy about seating, so the only available dining area seating is taken by "campers" and gear. "Campers" need a separate area to park for the day. Resort doesn't seem to care. Had to walk back to vehicle just to sit down.

Geographical location endows it with significantly colder and snowier weather than surrounding locations. Easy access, minutes from interstate. Friendly staff. Don"'t miss the lunch special at the cafeteria.

Wisp is a great spot for a wide variety of sports and adventures during every season. I've disc golfed, zip lined, rode the mountain coaster, crawled and climbed through the Spider Monkey obstacle course, snowboarded, snow tubed, etc. I've never been disappointed in the activities, but the organization and staff can really suck sometimes.

We spent a weekend with a family reunion and had a lot of fun. Lots to do there and in the area. The mountain coaster was the big attraction to most of my wife's side of the family. The staff were very nice and helpful. We may return next year.

Beautiful area. The resort rooms need updating and facelift. Wallpaper peeling off, rooms a little musty, bathrooms old and dated. At over $150 a night I expected better. Staff friendly and helpful. No enforcement of mask policy.

I love Wisp! It is the best ski resort in the area! Though you generally ski on manufactured snow it's better than nothing. They have a wide variety of ski runs and the resort is quite large. The rental process is easy and relatively fast. I keep coming back year after year!

Nice enough. Bring a large amount of money, it's very pricey ($2.78 for a 20 Oz coke in the cafeteria, $9 for a hamburger?). Couldn't handle the massive influx of visitors today, or handle the accident in the parking lot yesterday with creating a detour. No ski poles for the 1300-to-2100 group were available. Staff was mostly young, under 20 y/o, but courteous.

Wisp is a perfect place to bring the family. If you are looking for great skiing, and snow coverage while you ski this is the place for you. I do recommend that you go to the DC restaurant, if you a cozy dining experience rather than trying to find a place to sit in the cafeteria. For maybe two dollars more you get the nice food and feel of a restaurant. Also the DC restaurant is casual, so you can walk in with ski gear on and have no issue. Also Wisp is way cheaper, and bigger than whitetail. I highly recommend this resort.
