Very disappointed that all the duty free shops where closed not even a coffee shop where to have a coffee.
Hilariously dumb problem solving policy. Its clear that in vis major (Etna ) its difficult to solve quickly the situation,however providing nulla information by loudspeaker or any sign is a joke! So as of now all passengers are brought by bus to Palermo in order to arrive Budapest. But they have one miserable lady who try to handle all uninformed passengers. They not even have a passenger list,they just try to push people on buses in total chaos. Joke! Che schemma...

MALISSIMO managed airport. My flight was the first to arrive, we waited for the luggage HOUR, while other flights arrived after us had already taken the luggage.

I was able to use this plane in August to go to northern Italy. We took a plane from the Ryanair Company and when we arrived at the boarding, there was a box to see if your luggage could enter the STIVA not in the plane but in the hold because the crafty knowing that many people had large baggage put that deal just to earn some money. At first they wanted us to charge 160 for all 3 bags (ours) because according to them not even one came into the box. The first two bags entered almost simply except for the third one that had entered the box but the two wheels were out so they told us: either pay or stay here. We were forced to pay 55 for two wheels, I recommend that you travel with small suitcases if you don't want to rip off.

Ask for a diesel car and get it in gasoline, ask for it to have at least the Blue tooth or Android car and there is neither one nor the other ... dirty and all dented cars .... then your own connect 5 minutes later and find the diesel, android car and new car. I will be on a blacklist but at least the car has so many stamps and lines that this time they will not tell me that I have to pay something for old stamps but that by clever do not mark you in the contract.

I want to warn the tourists who land on cattle from rogue cab drivers. A driver named Angelo drove us in a low black Mercedes from Catania airport to Taormina. He charged us 180 Euros! Perfectly organized for the current emergency period covid19 ... excellent direct entry to the aircraft which allows you to avoid the use of buses.

The area in front of the airport is a chaos of streets, narrow streets, buildings and wild parks, topped by the chronic lack of adequate signs, both horizontal and vertical, from waste paper and colorful trash, and from structures, which delimit the rusty walkways! The impact you have on arrival in this chaos is ugly ... One wonders why nobody is interested in giving a positive impression to the first impact with Catania ... Not critical of the inside of the airport ... But the horrible outside, every time I always want to run away from it.

Shambolic queuing system for passport control for departures to English airports. 3 flights queuing simultaneously - 550+passengers only 2 police checking so not enough room to accommodate length of queue for social distancing! Passengers for Heathrow flight suddenly rushing forward upon realizing they would not get through in time to make their flight. Not good enough by the authorities and totally irresponsible - somebody not done their job properly!
Painful airport for departures anticovid measures not respected people invited by the staff to occupy the spaces in the queues for security checks. No control over who wears the mask beyond the gate. They don't let you in until three hours before departure but there is no sign on it. Temperature measurement with thermoscanner I wonder how it is possible since people pass in groups

Tasty food, but such a limited selection for a country like italy. There are a couple of bars to get food, but not a single restaurant. The airport is incredibly crowded. The air quality is bad, and it's too hot inside. Not enough seats to eat or wait. And there are queues with people everywhere, at the gates, check-in..
All new, clean, tidy, well kept. Quick check area. Nice shops with typical products. A nice surprise.
