Airport ok but as usual badly connected with the city a feature of many Italian airports

It is an airport that could give much and should be valued. I'm sure it will be like that over time

I'm sorry to write that the dirtiest airport I've ever visited is the one in my city, the executives are probably not chosen based on their managerial ability, and the managers of the various maintenance services are absolutely incapable.

Too hot, seems to be no air con outside the shops. Toilets filthy with no toilet roll. After getting through passport control to gate 22 there is not enough seating, no food or drink except vending machines.

Inside the departures area there are very few benches, to be able to sit down you have to go abroad where, however, there is smog, especially on very hot sunny days ....

As usual with so many things that don't work and with the employees who seem to be sheriffs

Outrageous that you cannot fill up your water bottle with drinking water and you're forced to purchase single use plastic at a time when plastic is suffocating the earth

Never hope you don't need to talk to an operator on the phone, after minutes and minutes of waiting they put you down.

Worst airport ever - bad airport staff, if you fly with a low-cost airline, you will be harassed (in my case Wizzair - only direct flight) misinformed (guidelines for luggage of the provider will be ignored) unreasonable if they recognize your mistake (then cheeky): - D slow, uncoordinated, the arrivals / departures homepage does not match the advertisements in the airport. Few restaurants, but expensive and bad, the toilets do not need signage because you can smell them. Have fun! :-)

Nice and functional airport. Personally I would add a few more sanitizing coats.

Excellent international airport. Different airlines fly to different destinations. The control staff is very polite and quick in operations. The car parks near the airport are very convenient and convenient and the most distant offer a free and fast shuttle service (you can park your car from 4 to 6 euros per day). For those who come from outside and do not have a car, they can easily reach the city of Catania by bus, taxi or rent a car.

Warning: due to coronavirus provisions, once you exit, it is no longer possible to return to the terminal. Furthermore, access is only allowed from three hours before your flight. You find out when you get there as there are no alerts. They have not provided toilets outside the terminal. Bad organization.

Very good airport !! The staff is mostly nice and helpful, the toilets are very clean and free of charge. The airport buses are also clean and the drivers weren't too jerky !!
All in all a very good airport !!

The lost and found service is to be denounced for crimes against humanity. The service is torture we talk about 30 minutes just to make the complaint (if you are Italian) 50-60 if you do not speak Italian, result if unfortunately there is even one foreigner in front of you, you will lose 1h and a half just for make the complaint. It does not end here. The return office is open in the afternoon only from 17.00, but nobody warns you, so after days of phone calls to a call center in Romania, you go to the office for information, and is closed with a row endless. Tip: Do not bring hold baggage could be a hell.

Small and busy but fairly well organized. Today many late flights cause bad weather, but notices and announcements are timely. Good service at check in counters. Duty free small but essential, excellent Sicilian food products

Every time more heavy traveling, people without respect or education. The long parking is full and you have to park in a short stop so you leave a lot of money and afterwards there are no places to sit even because people occupy them with clothes, bags, etc.

Excellent and constantly evolving. Always keep being updated and improved. The various car parks are comfortable. And then you can enjoy a spectacular visit of Etna.

I've only been here once. I would say that the airport is well organized. In the bar after the checks the cannoli are very, very good!

I have to say the airport is much too small for the amount of passengers that come here.
The staff is unfortunately extremely rude, unless they want to sell you something like an American Express card
Most of the staff unfortunately don't speak English, which becomes a problem when it comes to questions.

But it is not as terrible as it is written by some, I mean the country is making up for it and should not be broken away. Airport, you should not compare the airport with other large airports like ours Munich etc.

To come and fly it is enough

A small airport that wants to be "big", but with all the disorganization and inefficiency of the South. That leaves room for other smaller and more functional airports such as Comiso !! Endless lines to check in, a single row for various destinations, total chaos. The staff does what they can, in fact they actively travel among the passengers. At the internal car parks the LEDs should indicate the places still free .... if only they worked ...

The renovations are solving many problems to the detriment of travelers even if parking is a real problem that will need to be solved in some way.
If you have to leave, leave at the entrance of the departures ... if you arrive in Catania the problem is different. Get organized first.

I travel a lot for work and I haven't found such a slow airport even in Africa. If you leave the controls you risk to stand in line 45 min or more, if you get your luggage take 1 hour to be delivered even with very few flights to the tapes. Bathrooms in pitiful conditions, those that work. And finally car rentals, but I understand that it's a different matter.

The road to the airport is heavy. There is not enough chairs in the airport.

Small airport ok, departure in the early morning, quick security check. On the other hand for the lavatories the cleanliness leaves frankly to be desired as in many other similar places here as elsewhere unfortunately

Baggage claim unfortunately took too long, otherwise everything was OK.

This is definitely not a large airport, but service was fast, efficient and friendly and there is quite a good selection of eateries and cafes to dine at. Was very pleased at how friendly and efficient security staff were and restrooms were very well managed.

Few connections, especially after 9pm. There is no smoking area.

Shame shame shame !!! I have nothing else to add. There is a third world, but if you come to Catania airport you will find that there is a fourth world, endless files and listless, careless and rude security personnel; however unable to manage the needs and emergencies of passengers who are naturally paying customers. Very functional place but there are few shuttles to pick up passengers

Incredible cue, complete inefficiency. I just need to drop my bag. I have no access to the counter. Priority lines and normal lines mixed up, therefore I paid for nothing. Ryanair is bad but.... This is really going back in time

It was ok to come here early for our flight. Nice air conditioning and the cafe on the 3rd floor above departures serves Lovely coffee and freshly baked pizza for breakfast. Nothing to complain about.Much nicer than the awful hot overnight stay hotel.

The most disgusting airport in the world when it comes to departures

It was years since I had landed in Catania, and there I found a plane above the expectations. If you land in Catania, go and taste the Sicilian specialties at the refreshment points !!!

The impact on departures is not the best because it is not very accurate, but it is quite functional

Very overcrowded, no way of maintaining 1m distance between each other. No place to sit, very little shops. Terrible.

No problem getting there by car. Quick luggage control. I recommend arriving 2 hours in advance

Familiar place, well-kept airport and then the excellent air of Sicily

As such, it's a normal airport like any other. Only I find the mountains next to it and the sea makes it a little bit special.

After 9pm there are no LSGs XHE CHECK if you are in possession of a boarding pass. For which?

A reasonable small regional airport with signage in English as well as Italian so quite easy to navigate. Very limited food facilities at departure level (basically McDonalds and a coffee shop) so it is worth going down to arrivals hall where there is a decent range of more Italian choices (try Nonna Vincenza - at the far end but much better than those immediately opposite arrivals!) There are buses to many destinations - ticket offices outside between Hall A and Hall C.

The airport infrastructure for a relative small one is relatively OK: open space, air conditioned, the informations about the flights are obtained easily, easy acces to toilets (placed in vary places), a large food offer, but ...
After the check-in and the secutity check (that were fast), the awaiting time to pass after the passport control was huge (about 1 hour), in the conditions in which all this time, being no seat available, I stood, so i have only 10 minutes to check-in to the gate to departure.

The flight was W6 3152 on 09 Aug 2018.

A regional airport with limited infrastructure and services

Very small and dirty airport with no English speaking staff, that is very rude. Poor options to eat and no luggage storage. Ignorance is very important here.

It was an embarrassing thing, we spent hours and hours waiting only because of the disorganization of the authorities, causing numerous delays and gatherings (even in front of them)

In this period it is very tidy, the staff has always been kind, but now they do everything to limit the stay of passengers inside the terminal! Today they even made me find my luggage ready for the exit! Hope it's not just for the covid! I hope this experience helps everyone improve a little!

It is small, but you don't find what you are searching for. Luckily i left the island by ferry.
