Very nice and large room (apartment), delicious breakfast with courteous, good-humored service. Everything fits! I would like to come again.

I didn't like the way people are treated (maybe Italians !!!) but in the morning at least to respond to the greeting wouldn't be bad !!

A hotel with a noble flair, where you can also come for food and drink.

Hotel is getting old - but great kitchen and courteous and friendly staff.
First of all:
We had booked 3 nights in a double room with a 3-course menu of a snack (Vesper).
The three course menu was very good. Service very friendly and courteous. The restaurant is inviting and has a beautiful view.
The rooms are partly renovated and partly very old. We had an old room with carpeted floors, a very old bathroom. Everything was optically clean but a bit musty here and there. The rooms are noisy as far as flushing the toilet or the neighbour's shower is concerned.
Since we were not accommodated in the renovated room, I only give it 3 stars.

As a regular visitor to the hotel, the hotel is greatly overrated for 4 stars from my side.
The rooms are standard so nothing special, more like 2 stars.
The reception was okay, apparently they don't care much for new guests. Dinner was okay, the greeting from the kitchen was very nice. All in all, I was disappointed with the hotel itself.
Still 2 points because of the cleanliness which was good.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the staff very friendly. The room was very nice. On the pillow of each bed was a little surprise. The breakfast was very extensive and there was something for every taste. We have connected this getaway with the Europapark. The park can be reached in about 20 minutes and we received the tickets directly from the reception. It was just great and that's why we can understand some other bad reviews in any case. The hotel is not only suitable for a visit to the Europapark but also for a relaxing stay due to its quiet location. We recommend the hotel to everyone!

The hotel is in a very quiet location above Windenreute. Getting there is still easy.
Sufficient parking space all around.
The contact at the front desk was friendly, but the next few days the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
There are many rooms here and therefore also different price ranges and thus also different furnishings.
From "out of date" as some write here to very modern and new.
I am very satisfied with my room, even if it is "old-fashioned". Very cozy.
The room and bathroom are adapted to the times, clean and tidy.
Everything is big enough, too, and some with a balcony or outside terrace.
The bed is very good but the pillow takes some getting used to and narrow. I got another one upon request. Many thanks.

Despite the corona, breakfast is served at the slightly differently prepared buffet.

Went for the third time to Martinsgans food in the restaurant. Unfortunately, we did not like it this time. The meat was dry and very hard, the liver sauce was too thick. Regardless, you have to ask yourself if you can not bring in a little variety from year to year in the menu. Especially since the food is always very well visited. Every time we had the impression that the restaurant was fully booked. At the present time we would not come back to Martinsgans food. Too bad.

The restaurant also offers specialties such as goose food: It is served as a buffet and begins outside by the campfire with a punch - optionally with or without alcohol.
Inside: delicious goose soup with vegetables and fillings, starters, large salad buffet, then goose as the main course with plenty of side dishes: a total of 80 geese made their way into the stomachs of the guests this year. Something for gourmets - we don't think about fasting again until after ... The dessert was also delicious: red wine pear, mousse, ice cream and red wine foam.

I found the house very pleasant. The price-performance ratio is more than consistent. Even standard rooms have a high level of comfort. From the front desk to service to night service is accommodating, helpful and friendly. Breakfast and check-out time are guest friendly. I can only recommend this hotel!

Larg rooms, free parking, lovely staff.. the room in reality much better than photos

No internet, no UMTS; I was there professionally and had to leave again because I had to receive and send important messages. That is not how it works. Staff was incredibly unfriendly to sometimes naughty. I had to pay for a coffee machine 2.60 euros at the front desk, as I took a coffee 10 minutes before the official coffee break (he would have been then in vain).
Food buffet was a juxtaposition carelessly cooked large kitchens. For vegetarians there were boiled potatoes and spaghetti as well as totally cooked vegetables. Not even a sauce. I'm still stunned and wonder how the hotel can keep up with this service.

Not what it promises ... Old furniture, worn window handles and faucets ...

A hotel with very nice view on the surrounding landscape, including the ruins of an castle. The stuff is very friendly. Food, that was served for us during the stay, was very good. Beds are comfortable.

I can recommend this hotel, if you're close in the neighborhood.

Excellent hotel in a quiet area. Great for reaching Freiburg (30 minutes) but you definitely need a car.

Friendly service staff, rooms very different. I was in a rather old room. But it was clean. What bothered me a bit was the carpet floor in the room, so I am generally not a friend of. Food was very good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. I would stay there again despite the carpet.

Nice big room with sofa. My highlight is that almost every room has a balcony / terrace.

On the whole the hotel was OK, so we have 2 stars. We were very friendly received by the boss and got despite very late arrival a room upgrade. The hotel is very clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is adequate and delicious. However, there are 3 star deduction, as we had during our 2-day stay probably very bad luck. The room lock was broken, so we did not come into the room after breakfast. Also the fan was broken on the table. For the second night we got a new room, but again there were some flaws. Shower gel in the shower was empty, the handkerchiefs at the sink as well. And the next morning at 7 o'clock a bell that was not known to us rang loudly. Well .....

Quiet hotel, spacious rooms, fine cuisine just a few kilometers from the black forest

A wonderful hotel. I especially like the lobby. She looks very modern and bright. Fine food at reasonable prices. The rooms are very nicely decorated and clean. A very nice location, the hotel also. The entertainment of the children is also taken care of. There is a games room with various toys. Just great. Anyone looking for a hotel here in the area is certainly in good hands here. Large parking lot and surrounding sights such as the ruin stronghold. For cyclists, the hotel is also ingenious because there are woundbare bike paths not even 500 meters from the hotel. All in all an excellent hotel. But it's also great for weddings, birthdays, business parties.

Lovely terrace with a great view over the Black Forest. In addition, great location for trips to the Europa Park, to Freiburg, Strasbourg or simply drive into the Black Forest. I can only recommend ... hopefully soon also about Reisehummel bookable.

Our weekend with dog was perfect!
Room good, eat very well and very, very friendly staff! The sauna for the context is more like perfect, like with the beautiful relaxation room!

No Wi-Fi in the room. Very clean, not modern. Breakfast of high quality and varied.

Always great food, great service and great atmosphere

Rooms were clean, but the dinner menu was not a 4 star hotel worthy. Staff was nice, but overstrained. Breakfast has everything, which one wanted. The breakfast staff was very much coming. But as I said, that's my opinion.

The hotel is getting old. Everything is totally outdated and musty.
The heating didn't work either, and the lamp in the bathroom that always flickered.

Maybe you should rethink the rating system of the hotel stars if such a hotel can actually get 4 stars.

a bit out of the way, lots of parking, breakfast very good, my room was equipped with flat screen, fridge or mini bar, fan and a box spring bed. Very clean.

We, 6 adults, today looked forward to the summer brunch at the Windenreuther Hof. According to ad from 10 clock with champagne breakfast and lunch 22 per person. Once there we were greeted warmly and they offered us an aperitif, which we had all ordered. Apart from the fact that he has not tasted us, we were not advised that the sparkling wine is no longer served, unless we pay this.
The breakfast was simple and unfortunately also to complain about. The camembert was moldy and the grapes were very unappealing. We felt very rushed with the breakfast, since you only had time until 11 o'clock. Why do you write in the ad from 10 clock ?? As soon as we finished breakfast we were asked what we wanted to have for lunch. As a starter there was mixed salad (not fresh), the very sour turned on and not all of us had been eaten. We (my husband and I) had opted for the rump steak. The first bite almost stuck in my throat, the meat tasted sour and it smelled awful. We also had our friends try (also had a trained chef from a 4 star restaurant). It was definitely old meat. We did not eat it. The service asked us in all seriousness when clearing the full plate, if it tasted ..... incredible. After my answer, she just said that she would pass it on. Then came the boss ..... she apologized, but said everyone in the kitchen would have tried the meat and it would be all right. You do not even have to discuss with her ... do you deal with dissatisfied customers? We should then pay instead of 22 euros only 15 euros. In which economy do you get a rump steak for 7 euros? On the dessert we have all waived. This hotel restaurant is not worth a star. Once and never again.

Very nice rooms, friendly staff and free sauna use after registration possible. Breakfast with 8.50 euros a bit too expensive for the selection. Unfortunately, the restaurant offered only a menu, which was not communicated to us before. As it is hard to get some food in the area late at night, we were more or less forced to dine there anyway. For 70 euros in a double room but you can handle, otherwise everything was great!

The hotel is absolutely top. The rooms are very modern equipped and nicely decorated. TV, desk, minbar, wardrobe and shower are in the room. Also a nice sitting area available. Free sauna use included. The whole hotel is equipped with great attention to detail. Free parking is available. The staff is very friendly. The location of the hotel is a bit out of Emmendingen, but not far away and in a nice quiet location. Price performance ratio is absolutely great!
