Beautiful place, but the guide can also involve the boys
La Rocca is the castle of Gradara are wonderful. Unfortunately, however, we decided to take advantage of a paid guided tour. Nothing but the cost but terribly inaccurate and fabulous the story told by the guide. Without speaking then of the legend of Paolo and Francesca passed by historical fact (already Dante was collecting the legend) and enriched with Hollywood details. Too bad because the site lends itself to provide tourists with valuable information on this part of Italy that can also be provided in the space of 45 minutes as it lasted our tour. But are the guides not required to be authorized and for this reason to take exams on what they will tell?
Bad. Bad reception. If I could have given less than one star I would have. Zero organization, combined with rudeness. I went to the pro loco to buy tickets for a guided tour of the castle and with a lot of rudeness I was told that I had better take a tour because they had to organize. I asked them if they had a map of the village with the points of interest, but with an impatient tone I was told to look at a tiny plan attached to a flyer, that the country is 20sqm !! The floor plan is the minimum that is offered as a welcome to a tourist. Honestly, I feel like going away to visit some other village nearby. Bad !!!!
I wanted to update the review grade only for the guide who allowed us to visit the castle and she was really very kind. Thank you.
Bad management.
I sent an email to book the guided tour of the Gradara castle ... and no reply email.
I had to call back and .. to my request for a confirmation email .. they replied annoyed that they sent it and instead nothing.
We show up 1 hour before the visit ... we pay 15 euros per person ... they recommend us to be there on time at 11.30 ... yesterday August 15th. done.
At 11.20 we introduce ourselves and one of the two staff leads that the other was around looking for us because the visit had begun. They accompany us to the group ... and in the meantime the guide had already started for almost 10 minutes. very kind lady ... she gave us a brief summary of what she had already said.We didn't want to ask for at least part of a refund ... but the management of this pro loco is really ... very bad.
The staff is courteous, but the "Incastro" laboratory has an exaggerated cost in relation to the type of activity, the duration and the material available (recycled cardboard)
Nothing special for primary school children.
They do not give right information for people with disabilities.
The main entrance is not accessible for the disabled.
But turning the back there is the gate sounds open you enter the car.
I was unable to visit it.
Bad organization. We arrived at 10.30 and took the last tickets for the visit with the guide. Arriving at the entrance of the fortress there is a crazy queue because both those who make free visits and those who take a guided tour must do the same queue to enter. Moral: we were told that the tour lasted 1 hour and after 2 hours we had to give up entering because we didn't have more time. Schedule admissions with online sales? Too complicated? Things from the Middle Ages! And in time to crowd the climb to enter I would say it's not the best ...
Very nice place but the responsibilities bounce between restaurants and pro loco .... I had to pay 5 entrance to access the restaurant I had booked and I only discovered when I arrived that I had to pay .... the pro loco said I had to clarify with the restaurant and the restaurateur that I had to clarify with the pro loco ... conclusion I paid for me and my friends to have dinner in the restaurant
The right place to get suggestions to enjoy Gradara to the fullest. Courteous and professional staff.
