Came home from a trip to the carbon monoxide alarm...

Came home from a trip to the carbon monoxide alarms going off. Opened up house and called WIlliams Heating and Air. They were there in less than 30 minutes on a Sunday! Max, the technician was through and confirmed that we did NOT have CO2 but old detectors. We had another detector that was newer and it was not going off.
Thanks to Williams Comfort Air, we could rest easy.

Our furnace went out Wednesday night when it was only 30 degrees. I placed a call that night and someone called me first thing Thursday morning. Eric was able to come out by noon and he was great. He explained everything to me in a way that I understood, was able to troubleshoot our problem, and give me a solution quickly! I really appreciate having a company I can turn to and trust. Thank you!

I called Williams Comfort Air to make a non-emergency appointment to check my furnace. The blower fan was making noise. The appointment was scheduled for the next morning; the repairman arrived on time, showed me the problem, made the necessary repairs and was on his way. I am completely satisfied and plan to use Williams for all of my future furnace checks.

Tim did an excellent job of explaining the issue that needed replacement and taking care of doing it. He was extremely courteous and was even helpful in carrying in delivery packages that had arrived on my front porch without having been asked!

When our heat went out on Christmas day, Williams was extremely punctual about sending someone out. Their tech came when expected and for $98, proceeded to poke at our furnace for 15 minutes before telling me that he couldn't narrow down the problem, that we would have to replace two components to be sure, and that total it would cost $2,500. In his defense, one of the things he said (the blower motor) was actually the problem. He then got out a tablet to review all the subscription services and value plans Williams had to offer and then suggested several times that we should buy a new HVAC unit, and that he could set me up with a consultant.

The problem was the blower motor. It was a $700 part that took 5 minutes for me to put in. Seriously- it was designed for easy access. My family was cold and we were strapped after the holidays. The last thing I needed was someone upselling me a new furnace and trying to get me on some super saver subscription package. I needed a solid prognosis and NOT to be given a bunch of confusing service options.

I'm sure the tech is a good tech. This low star review is because I needed service, not a salesman. I got a second opinion from a second company (Good Guys H&AC) and they did it without having me review a bunch of savings programs. I will not use this company again, and I would not recommend anyone who comes out only to try to sell me a service package.

We've been using Williams for 2 years now, entirely for bi-annual routine maintenance. Both of the techs that we've had have gone above and beyond to explain what is going on and give me some tips on how to keep my system running at its peak.

I had a new heating and cooling system installed b...

I had a new heating and cooling system installed by Williams in Dec 2017. I paid a premium for known brand. This largely went well, with the exception that the installers forgot to replace a power cutoff box that was stated on my contract. I had to press and show them on the contract that it was included, though they did go get the parts and complete that portion of the work the day of the installation. The system has been working well so far.
Dispatchers for service play "gotcha" trying to dump appointments. They will call many times on the day of your appointment and if a call is missed they dump your appointment even if you have confirmed earlier in day. In my particular instance, the second dispatcher I spoke to denied the confirmation was made and only point out a missed call as the excuse for not sending a technician. I find this very inconvenient for customers who cannot answer multiple calls over and over to confirm appointments. This is where I'm going to call their behavior "playing gotcha." I have not had a single similar experience from other service providers in the past.
I have decided to dump them and receive service from another vendor who is more reliable at showing up to appointments. I did my part in being prepared and on time at home for my appointment and confirmed via phone the appoint an hour before the window.
It is not my fault if Williams has had issues with other customers before not being prepared or on time for their appointments, which was the excuse for not showing up. It is not acceptable to me to make excuses about their past experiences with other customers as this is not my fault. The dispatcher appeals to "procedure."
Their dispatching procedures are not acceptable to me as a paying customer, so I have decided to receive service from another vendor in the future. Perhaps it is less inconvenient for other possible customers, but it will not work for me. I am disappointed to have to find another vendor that performed the installation to continue service. I will not be receiving the free year of service promised by the contract, but it is more important to me to find someone who knows how to show up and not badger customers looking for an "out."
My suggestion to Williams is that a single confirmation call day of should be sufficient, and that repeated calls day of even after a confirmation are unneeded and inconvenience customers who might want to talk to their mother while they wait for techs to show up after having taken a half day off work.

edit: update Nov 2018, the system failed because wires were loose and touching the heat pump lines, eventually melting the insulation and shorting the low voltage system.

We've had Steven J. the past few times and he went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied - which included fixing a problem created by a different local plumber before we owned the house. I appreciated his care and patients explaining part costs and assisting me with creating a plan that will fit my budget. I did receive a courtesy call to advise me of his delay to expect a call. It end up outside the expected time, but was worth the wait. Thanks Byron! I am now a member. Byron explained the benefits that helped me make this choice.

Be sure to shop around on price before enlisting the service of Williams Comfort Air. I was changed $235 for a $25 part and ten minutes labor and the part did not fix the issue. Was quoted $770 for a part that I later bought for $330 and it took me less that thirty minutes to replace. Be sure to ask what exactly they are doing to replace the parts and have an idea of cost before paying them anything.

He made a serious attempt to up-sell us on extended warranties. When we picked the cheapest option, he did not carry-on about it, but signed us up for our order, in an efficient manner, and then proceeded to get our water heater, and install it. During the installation, our 14 year-old water softener lost the seal on it's core filter, and the beads escaped into our supply pipes. The plumber was quick to discover that, and by-pass ed the softener, then proceeded to drain the accumulated beads from from our faucets & fixtures.
We were impressed with his follow-up.

This was undoubtedly the most thorough annual maintenance on our air conditioning system that I have ever seen. Instead of just spraying a hose through the louvered vents on the sides of the compressor, enclosure our technician removed all of the grills and the top. All of the internally area was cleaned with a soapy solution. Besides checking all of the rest of the components outside, similar attention and cleaning was conducted at the furnace itself. My first experience with Williams Comfort Air was top notch.

STOP trying to oversell people to make your nut and just be real and fair with people. If I don't want to bump my warranty from 10 years to 15 years for an extra grand, just do what you are told and remove it from the quote. He cost you a customer because he wanted to make his commission. Jay Heidenreich was unprofessional, rude, and boarder line shady. Consumers - call someone else, you'll save money and get a better experience. You can't trust a company that deploys these gimmicks.

Called Monday night for an emergency repair of our air conditioner when it was 95 degrees out. They were out within an hour and had it fixed within half an hour. The house is nice and cool again and I no longer have a cranky hot 1 year old. Will definitely use them again if needed.

My broken down old AC stopped cooling three days before record-breaking, triple-digit temperatures were forecast. Having seen the Williams trucks around town, I sent an email requesting an estimate. Within minutes, I received a call back and was able to schedule an appointment for the next afternoon. William's bid came in more than 10 percent lower than the one I received from my former HVAC company...and they were able to install the system the following day. Yesterday, when the temperature outside was 104 degrees, my house was cool, comfortable and amazingly consistent. The Williams crew - from estimating to installation to follow up - did a great job. I highly recommend them.

Honest, Trustworthy, Ethical, Friendly, Customer-Service Focused a Team of Professionals. Jarboe s has earned my trust and is the only company I will use for plumbing and HVAC work in Louisville. I have used Jarboes extensively for plumbing, septic and HVAC work. Recently, we returned from vacation on a Saturday to a broken A/C upstairs. Called Jarboes and Ronnie Neal arrived in less than an hour. He quickly diagnosed the problem on our 20+ year old system, identifying a coolant leak in the attic A-Coil. We talked through options and he was upfront and very honest. He refilled the coolant, but emphasized that this was band-aid and we likely needed to replace the system. As a courtesy, he serviced our second A/C unit free of charge to ensure we at least had A/C on the first floor until we could get the upstairs unit replaced. On the following Monday, Chris Kahafer came out to provide an estimate on a replacement system. Chris was outstanding, encouraging me to buy the least expensive system, as it would more than meet our needs. Despite my best efforts, he refused to upsale me. After I selected a unit, he stayed an additional 2+ hours to help me battle with my Home Warranty Company on the phone. Chris was awesome highly ethical, professional and trustworthy. As we waited for the install date, I called Chris again and asked if I should buy a higher-end system. Again, he explained to me that the least expensive model is what I needed and that we had selected the right system, saving me thousands of dollars. The install team, Jimmy Norwood and Codie Hamsley were also exceptionally professional. They completed the install very quickly, walked me through the new system, and showed me how to properly maintain it. On a side note, it was very apparent to me that every Jarboe team member I worked with enjoyed working for their company. Jarboe s has earned my trust and I highly recommend them.
