Horrible experience! Unattended kids running everywhere while parents drinking. Cold waterparks. Waterparks def for younger children. Lifeguards more concerned with their makeup. I saved 2 kids while Lifeguards were unaware of situations. Got charged for 3 pizzas on my creditcard when i only ordered 1.strange loud noise comin from outside of building that kept us up all night along with kids runnin upband down hallway. Ill never go there again

Been here three times, always a great experience. It's our mini vacation destination. They have everything you need, and stuff you didn't think you needed. In my opinion, it's much better than the Kalahari and the outside parks make it comparable to a mini Noah's Ark.

We went during winter. The 3 indoor water parks are connected through the hotel walk ways. Great time for the kids and adults. Great arcade and Bar options. The buffet breakfast is a must go to.

This is an excellent resort with so much to offer. I stayed in one of their vacation villas and it was amazing. The four indoor water parks offer a wide variety of activities during the winter months. There are all kinds of things to do besides just swim. They have multiple arcades, go-karts, shopping, restaurants, bars, mini golf, paint your own pottery, and much more. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a great place to take your family.

We stay here a week every winter with our five children. The kids enjoy the variety of multiple water park options. Raft slides tube slides or body slides. A wave pool for trying body surfing or water gun fights. Go carts laser tag minigolf and a ropes course over the large arcade area.

This was my first time going to the Wilderness in the Dells. I will definitely be making the trip back. There is so much to see and do. Indoor wave pool was great and a great size. Bigger than other indoor pools. It was very clean and reasonably priced. The reason why I didn't give 5 stars is with the size of the resort and with it being my first visit, I wish there was more specific signage or a change in the decor from one wing to another (where the rooms were located). I got side tracked multiple times and I ran into other people with the same frustrations. Even a map that labeled inside landmarks and not just outdoor ones. Also, when finished checking in, I was ushered over to a group of sales people selling discounted coupons for local attractions. I also signed up to get and additional discounted stay if I toured a new timeshare facility. I never did this before, so others who also haven't, skip it! Not worth the hassle or 2 hours of the vacation they take from you... skip the whole desk and enjoy your trip, the sales desk doesn't save you much.

My only complaint is the second floor which is the main route to all water parks is extremely cold. You would think since the waterparks all access on this one level would have the heat beaming for the guess coming from the cold water.

It's bad when a 7 yrs old says "daddy I don't like this waterpark"! I could agree but we went during springbreak week and it was jammed packed so we expected that but the filth..not so much. There was visibly floating mold forming on one of the play figures mounted in the kiddie area in the indoor waterdome. The water was too cold to play that my 6 yr old could only tolerate the water for no more than 10 minutes at a time. After 45 mins of play he called it quits. There were a group of adult guest drinking beverages (probably beer) while in the water hanging out by the poolside of the kiddie area. Rules were not enforced by the teenaged lifeguards who paced up and down the pool and never said a word to them. Chairs and tables were littered with towels, empty food containers and clothing spread throughout the walk way areas. It was just too congested and the chlorine was so strong it made you want to gag. We headed back though a separate indoor water area that was worst to describe so we avoided it all together. We headed towards the wild west indoor waterpark which took us 20 mins or more to walk. The map legends were almost useless and we asked passing by guest which way to go most of the times. Wild west water area appeared more kid friendly but too cold! There are doors that open to the outside parking lot just a few feet away frm the entrance inside the wild west indoor park. Mar/April in Wisconsin still has freezing temps and with the frequency of guest coming and going, the staff should have kept these doors locked. One kid came and asked my fiance could he sell him his wristband on the way out. I don't know how he got in through the property but I'm sure it was from one of those side doors which compromises safety and security! I guest you pay for what you get in these types of situations considering other nearby resorts wanted even more money for one night stay. The Wilderness was just slightly cheaper but it was not worth the aggravation. Pretty sure this will be our first and last stay. Our room however was nicely clean which was impressive if I have to say anything nice.

Whole experience was great, but please for a love of God avoid miniature golf there. Shuttle bus service phone was almost everytime busy. Shuttle bus drivers were awesome, they would pick us up straight from street.

Clean nice place like the gulf carts that take you where you need to go... water park indoor and outdoor is awesome fun to enjoy life guard security everywhere I will definitely visit again this time to stay longer...

I had a bunch of nitpicks and a relative of mine had a bit of a horror story to tell me about some way a certain employee handled a situation, but overall the facilities are nice and 99.99% of the staff were great even if the """""Free""""" wifi in the resorts was so slow that you could match its speeds with dial up and there were a bunch of add on purchases for non waterpark attractions like the go-carts and lazer tag and stuff.

I'd recommend it but that doesn't keep me from docking a couple stars.

The Wilderness is a great place for all ages. Very fun. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is because I was in a boot when I went there. It was not very "handicap" accessible making it so I had only a few options I could do, due to the many flights of stairs. Otherwise it is great.

I've been to several resorts in Wisconsin but I have to admit the Wilderness was too past. People were very friendly helpful. Will be coming back soon. Everything was within walking distance is the resort and if we had to walk further the shuttle bus what get us to where we were going. Everything was there for us to enjoy.

The rooms are mostly up to date. The restaurants in the resort are really good. The biggest problem I have with this is that it gets very busy during the weekend. It almost seems like there are way more people that come for the day than those that stay in rooms. It makes it a bit hard to enjoy when it is over crowded. I've only stayed here during the winter and thus only experienced the indoor water park parts. I'm hoping my next visit will be better as the outdoor parts will be open too in the summer.

Water parks were great, but the room at Glacier Canyon Lodge was a bit disappointing. Even though we booked the same type of room as last year, this one was smaller. There was no storage space in the kitchen area.

My family's experience was much vetter than expected. We can't wait to go back The kids are trying to convince me to make it a yearly family tradition The grounds were well maintained and felt like a different world from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city The package we got had more than enough age appropriate activities. By age appropriate I mean older kids as I have 14 yr old twins and a 12 yr old and every1 was stimulated and excited the whole time Our weekend was packed. The variety of waterparks was amazing We enjoyed the outdoor ones more than indoor due to the humidity and the chlorine smell. It was kind of hard to breathe inside. There were a few we kept going in just for the slides The slides were a thrill that even the adults enjoyed 1 of our favorite parts if our stay was our complimentary tickets to the spectacular Tommy Bartlett show. I personally loved the wildlife theme that carried throughout the whole place We were impressed with the 18 hole mini golf 1 was a glow in dark that came with 3D glasses to enhance the experience and the other was outdoor. We challenged ourselves with the ropes course (scary!) & laser tag was a blast We also did a laser maze and bumper cars Again this was all included in our package becuz we got the fun passes (well worth it!) There was bumper carts, bumper boats and go karts on the pass too In total 9 or so activities each This is definitely a FAMILY place so occasionally there were screaming kids into the hallway LoL It didn't really bother me as much as my partner. The rooms were spacious equipped with mini fridge and microwave that helped us save some money on food. We felt safe and there were staff on go carts everywhere to help us navigate the huge campus. We got a coupon book to help us utilize some local deals available. There were plenty of awesome picture opportunities that we took advantage of. All in all great family vacation I encourage anybody with kids to take their family

Room, water park, and staff are amazing. One of the top three resorts in Wisconsin Dells. Two stars for trying so hard to push what seemed like a time share scam. At check in they have you go get a coupon booklet. During that time they try to get you to go to a tour of a new part of the resort the next day. "You can't walk in, it's by reservation only and I'll need your info in order to save you a spot" "oh wow only three spots left, better hurry". You will get a $150 Visa gift card for a two hour tour. For my partner and me that's ~$35 a hour plus you just got my email, phone number, and address so for the rest of my life I will get spammed with Wyndham time share offers. They not want to take no for an answer. I came to swim and slide, not to try to get pressured into this "tour" of their "condos". Really put a bad taste in my mouth right from check in.

My friend and I really enjoyed this place! The hotel rooms were nice as well very clean and beds are super roomy and comfortable. The only silly little thing is i wish the prices for some of the food and liquor wasnt as much money! The waterpark it self is fun, has a lot to offer.

Wow what a trip. We just left about an hour ago, and this hotel made our first trip to the dells a wonderful experience!

Heres why i give 4 stars:

The good about this hotel is a lot. Theres so much to do and the prices aren't outrageous at all. The drinks and food are a decent price for all you get included in your stay and how popular and big this resort is. The staff was alright, (check my bad further down) the buffet was awesome! Breakfast was 15$ a person and dinner was 20$, definitely worth it. You can walk around with your drinks, the adult swim up bar was great, so was the outside hot tub and all the water parks were so much fun!!

Now the bad... there are only a few things id change if i could. First off, the staff, i totally understand high stress and being busy with the volume of customers, but their attitude towards me was disrespectful most of the time like they didnt care. The woman in the gift shop was far more concerned with the customers buying a coffee mug for their college daughter rather than checking me out, i waited 15 minutes even after i got her attention. Not all the staff though, the bartenders were phenomenally great!
The beds... after a day of swimming and walking around the first thing i want to do is lay down and relax, but the beds were basically all spring and no foam or anything. My back definitely kills and so do my hips.
The last, and BIGGEST ISSUE i had, was the water parks. Dont get me wrong they were so much fun, and i also understand the "slip resistance" in all the pools, but the slip resistance is so sharp and the pools are so unbelievably shallow that me and my entire group scraped up our knees, calfs, feet and toes. I have scratches, marks, scabs, and my the bottom of my toes are split open and its pretty uncomfortable.

Other than that, we had a blast, and we will DEFINITELY be coming back!!!

We love going to wilderness and its usually so much fun, we visited during Super Bowl weekend and it was packed (it was a little too much) next time we will probably visit on a quieter weekend. But over all pretty awesome!

Here with the family for new years. We spent all day in the hotel playing games going to the many pools and just hanging out. I would say it's one of the best New year's Eve's I've had with my family.

The individual indoor water parks are way too crowded during peek times to be fun. The lifeguards are doing nothing to protect the young kids from the rambunctious teens+ to make this safe!!! The staff is very passive when it comes to doing their job (the exception would be the wave pool and only the wave pool). My 5 year old child has been knocked over several times and literally steeped on! Not interested at all nor looking forward to the rest of our stay!!! This is only the first hour of our stay!

We were also informed at the time of check in that the Wild West indoor water park is closed through midweek. We were sold on this resort by the representative for the water park rides at the Wild West and not informed of the closure. My son is not enjoying the other parks as much and keeps asking to go to the Wild West indoor park! For all the times we have traveled to the Dells, this has been a big disappointment!

We have tried a few of the activities: tie dye, pottery, arcade. What is up with the staff? They will go through the motions but look like they are not enjoying the job. Makes the experience less enjoyable for our family. When your 5 year old notices then there is a big problem here!

On day one my son lost his (not so cheep) swim goggles in the lazy river. We asked about the resorts lost in found and was told the location and it could be the next day before they could show up. On our second day we made our way to the lost in found. We asked about our lost goggles and were shown what was turned in. His goggles were not among the group. Then the representative told us to just take a pair! What? Does that mean ours could have been given away? Unbelievable!!! Again we are not impressed by this establishment nor it's personal!

They claim to be the biggest waterpark in America, which is false advertising because Noah's Ark is the biggest in the world lol. So I doubt this place should be trusted especially if they can't advertise correctly

BEWARE:

BEWARE:
They are NOT following CDC guidelines! If you are concerned about covid-19 do not attend the wilderness. They say they enforce masks and social distancing but they do not! Nobody is wearing a mask, not even staff members. They do not sanitize at all, not even rides or surfaces. The hallways are packed with maskless people. It is a fun-time if you are no concerned about covid, but if you or your family are high risk, this resort is NOT SAFE!

What a place to stay!!! So much to do in one place! You never have to leave! They have great deals on meals that can be delivered to your room or pool side if you choose. They had an unlimited pass when we were there for all to get into like 5 or 6 things for unlimited amounts of times, otherwise you have to pay each time. We got our money's worth just in the go carts- which I must add are INDOORS!!! Great cook season place to stay and it looks to be a really cool place to stay in the summer with the outdoor water parks. There are 8 total water parks- 4 inside and 4 outdoors.

We will definitely NOT be staying at the Wilderness Resorts during our next trip to the Dells. Take your family to a different resort. The management is slow to respond and do not accommodate their guests fairly when errors are committed. For example, during our second day of our three day stay, the cleaning staff never came to clean our room nor did they provide clean towels and toiletries such as tissue paper. We had to call the service desk twice over span of three hours, and still, no action was done. It was not until we spoke to the management in person that a call was made to the cleaning staff to fix our room for us. Once it was all said and done, the only compensation we received was the standard coupon book everyone receives upon check-in.

Had my bachelorette party at the Wilderness resort last weekend. Stayed at a condo which was great. Comfortable beds, very clean. Had everything we needed- coffee maker etc. The indoor waterpark was a lot of fun. Only complaint was that the indoor waterpark was very crowded. We had to look everywhere to find a table to put our stuff down on. Long lines for water slides too.

We went here for our honeymoon. So much fun.
The service was usually really good ( had an amazing shuttle bus driver and the bartender was great along with the cabana service provider) and the available things to do is varied. The food at the buffet was disappointing. Also disappointing that don't enforce hot tub rules.

Been coming here for the last 3 years and everytime gets better and better. I do have to dote on the staff though. We forgot our pack n play for our little guy and the hotel had one for us to use. It was an absolute lifesaver! #tiredparents My little boys LOVE coming here. They look forward to it every November. I'll be counting down the days til our next stay

We actually stayed in the time share portion. Check in was 4:00 but we had to wait until about 4:10 because our room wasn't ready. People we travelled with had to wait longer for their room.

They have three indoor water parks. Klondike Kavern was under construction for some new slides but still partially open.

Wild WaterDome has a nice wave pool. The kids splash area was partially roped off and you could see some equipment was removed. There is a waterslide called "Dueling Mammoths" but when we went the lift for the rafts was broken down. People could still ride it but groups had to carry rafts to the top. This park made us wonder if the resort was in decline.

We spent most of our time in the "Wild West" park. No complaints about this park. Everything worked and has stuff for all ages.

The resort overall is showing its age and could use some TLC but it looks like they are working on it.

Really love this! Nice clean pools and amazing rooms! Staff are so nice and so welcoming! I really recommend this hotel. Totally worth the stay! Also they have a play area for kids! The play area I recommend at night because it makes the kids tired and it's fun! Also have arcades in case kids are bored of swimming also they have pot painting. It's worth it! Please stay at this hotel! See you in June 14th!
