David S Review of Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin...
The individual indoor water parks are way too crow...
The individual indoor water parks are way too crowded during peek times to be fun. The lifeguards are doing nothing to protect the young kids from the rambunctious teens+ to make this safe!!! The staff is very passive when it comes to doing their job (the exception would be the wave pool and only the wave pool). My 5 year old child has been knocked over several times and literally steeped on! Not interested at all nor looking forward to the rest of our stay!!! This is only the first hour of our stay!
We were also informed at the time of check in that the Wild West indoor water park is closed through midweek. We were sold on this resort by the representative for the water park rides at the Wild West and not informed of the closure. My son is not enjoying the other parks as much and keeps asking to go to the Wild West indoor park! For all the times we have traveled to the Dells, this has been a big disappointment!
We have tried a few of the activities: tie dye, pottery, arcade. What is up with the staff? They will go through the motions but look like they are not enjoying the job. Makes the experience less enjoyable for our family. When your 5 year old notices then there is a big problem here!
On day one my son lost his (not so cheep) swim goggles in the lazy river. We asked about the resorts lost in found and was told the location and it could be the next day before they could show up. On our second day we made our way to the lost in found. We asked about our lost goggles and were shown what was turned in. His goggles were not among the group. Then the representative told us to just take a pair! What? Does that mean ours could have been given away? Unbelievable!!! Again we are not impressed by this establishment nor it's personal!
